Hello

Looks like a complicated situation. You can now proceed as follows:

1. ask someone who is an expert, allow him to copy your important files on a DVD or an external hard drive and apply recovery media to reformat and reinstall the operating system. After reinstalling you can put your files and you'll have a system clean and sober.

2. press F8, and then choose Safe mode. In this safe mode, you should try to back up your data on an external hard drive as USB should work in safe mode.

In both cases, you need to retrieve the machine, so just prepare to backup your data and reinstall the Windows operating system.

Welcome them

Windows 7 pre installed partion delet back then how to recover windows 7 home prium

    Hello

You have very limited options now that you have deleted the recovery partition.

The only legal Windows 7 download available is now Microsoft, as Microsoft has stopped DigitalRiver Windows 7 ISO downloads.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery

But Microsoft only provides these downloads for Windows 7 keys to selling product at retail, not preinstalled OEM product keys (Dell, HP, etc.).

As you have licensed preinstalled OEM (Dell, HP, etc.), contact the manufacturer of your computer to order recovery media that they must provide for a fee, if they still have available which is very doubtful.

Or you can also borrow the same exact retail edition DVD of Windows 7 and use your product key to reinstall.

    See you soon.

  • Windows on Satellite M40-276 - no visible HARD drive installation

    Hello

Since the end of the week, I had time to start my Toshiba Satellite M40-276 (PSM44E)...

I installed Windows XP Pro, I don't remember installing any kind of SATA/PATA drivers, but unfortunately Windows Setup does not recognize the hard drive installed, which was never changed.

Now, I have discovered that the hard disk sometimes does not appear in the BIOS?
Is there any type of driver that I can download and include in a Windows installation CD?

When I start the laptop with Knoppix 5.1.1 I can copy and access to all files on NTFS formatted disks, the hard drive itself should be well (im checking with HDD Regenerator v1.51 on a Boot CD for the moment).

And I have another question - y at - it an update of the BIOS for the Satellite M40-276 (PSM44E) which can be flashed on a boot CD? On the official homepage I can only find the update of the BIOS Windows :(

    Thanks for your patience...

    Hello

Have you tried to reinstall the OS from the Toshiba restore CD? Or did you use the clean Windows XP CD?

AFAIK the M40 supports a SATA HDD and the laptop was equipped with a SATA HDD controller.
Windows XP with SP2 should recognize the HARD disk properly.
If your XP doesn t contains SP2 and include it using the program nLite

    > And I have another question - y at - it an update of the BIOS for the Satellite M40-276 (PSM44E) which can be flashed on a boot CD? On the official homepage, I can only find the Windows BIOS update

No, only the win-version of the BIOS is available on the Toshiba page!

  • How to recover windows 8 key product when it comes preinstalled on a computer laptop toshiba

I have a toshiba laptop with windows 8 pre-installed and for some reason, the operating system does not start, the indicated error is "[not] media control. I have not create the recovery disks. Is it possible to extract the product key from the BIOS? Help, please

With Windows 8, Microsoft changed stickers that have the product key that the user must type in during the installation of the operating system of new embedded BIOS product key. The idea is that by eliminating the tile, you eliminate one of the easiest ways for nefarious users get a legitimate product key. The sticker also eliminating product key removes any concern that the vignette could get damaged while at the same time eliminating the long and irritating the process of typing in various letters and numbers in the installation of the operating system.

If the user has to reinstall the operating system on a computer with Windows 8, the installation process automatically captures key software product of the motherboard BIOS without input from the user. This means that these stickers familiar windows product key will no longer appear on Windows 8 computers.

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 8 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

  • Satellite L850D - how to recover Windows 8?

    Hello guys.

I had virus problems with my Toshiba Satellite L850D and decided to restore the factory settings.

During the recovery, it crashed while I held the power button and when I started it again, it seemed that windows 8 had been removed.

I took the laptop to a local computer repair company that could not recover my windows 8 and windows 7 installed on it.

I paid around £80 extra when you purchase the laptop for windows 8 already installed on it and I was just wondering if there was anyway to get it back?

    Thanks for the help

If you have not created recovery disks in the past, then you have no choice as to the order of these discs from here: http://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

  • How to recover Windows 8 on my laptop satellite?

So last night my laptop, a Toshiba satellite running win 8, decided to have lunch there himself with a random reboot. I didn't drop it hit or give him any reason to complain about how it is noted.

Upon restart, it got stuck in the apparently very well known diagnosis/repair of problems fast errors drive loop. I left it overnight to do its thing, which, by this morning, turned have been absolutely nothing.
I've since come around forums trying to find out how to access some sort of fair recovery menu start from the place with a new resettlement.

So, as I've been led to believe, is possible either by holding 0 at startup for a menu of recovery, either through f12 for the boot menu. Both are readily available, but unfortunately completely useless. I selected the option to access the recovery menu and was rewarded by the return of the laptop it's repair loop. I selected the option no and it turn off the laptop.

If someone could advise me what the next step would be to get this traffic rights thing still once, I would be very grateful, because it seems now I'm out of options before buying a new hard drive and windows 8.
Thank you in advance and also, I'm sorry that I broke the golden rule to search for and join an existing thread first not. I am literally pulling my hair out on this subject.

    Hello

My friend bought Thoshiba Satellite A210. The machine is slow, so it wants to reinstall Vista.
We can get it back to the hard drive?

It doesn't have any CD to come with the laptop.

    Thank you.

The A210 was certainly delivered with the recovery DVDs Toshiba that would help you to recover the laptop to factory settings.

As I know the A210 was not equipped for HARD drive recovery option and the recovery DVDs should be in the package.

  • Satellite L350D - how to recover Windows?

I installed Ubuntu 10.10 on my L350D and I removed Windows Vista (and all my files) by mistake... There was not a windows recovery CD when I bought the L350D. What should I do to recover the windows vista? Is it possible to have Windows Vista on my computer again without having to buy the software for a second time? Thank you very much

    Hey,.

    > It wasn't a windows recovery CD
Yes, because you have to create this disc yourself using preinstalled Toshiba recovery disc creator, but all about that is mentioned in your user manual.

    > What should I do to recover the windows vista?
There is only one way to restore the original Toshiba settings: this s Toshiba Recovery disk and if you n t have it you can order it here:

What's the problem? It seems that the laptop works well, but Microsoft Office programs are not installed. Am I wrong?

If you need these programs, you must install it again. If you n t have this CD, you must buy it! All that s

  • How to recover my laptop Satellite Pro?

    Hey I met unmountable_boot_volume blue screen so decided to just format the pc, however;

When I select repair your computer, it shows windows loading page "files" and then after all turns black with a white cursor...

I have a satellite installed pro win 7

Any advice on how to get this shit? I'm afraid that if I buy a recovery disk I receive always the black screen with cursor do not understand why this is happening

    Thank you

You can not force HDD recovery works correctly. From my experience, I can just say: either it works or not. If this is not only an option to install the recovery image uses a recovery media.

To be honest I don t understand why you didn't create a support of recovery as described in s operating manuals.

The value of the default BIOS and try again. If you will be faced with the same problem or order the original recovery disk or try to install the OS using the Microsoft installation disc. On this way, you can check the HDD features.

  • How to recover Vista on Satellite L500

    Hello guys,.

I bought a Satellite L500 with Windows Vista... unfortunately I am not a fan of Vista, so I installed the good old WXP.
However, I forgot to burn a copy of the version of vista.

Then I realized that there is no available xp driver by Satellite. So I installed vista drivers. Almost everything has worked, except the graphics drivers.
My book, of course, now uses default windows graphics drivers, but now everything is distorted.
Now my question: is there a way to recover Vista? Of course, I have a product key that I have acquired with the purchase of the laptop.
I also have a Vista CD from my other computer, but it does not accept the product key for the laptop.

    Thanks for your help!

PS: Sorry for the bad English ;)

Product key will not help you. This key belongs to the recovery image, that you got with your laptop.
In my opinion, you have two options:
    # original order Toshiba DVD recovery under https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx or
    # install Vista using original Microsoft DVD facilities. All necessary drivers, tools and public services should be available on the Toshiba support page.

  • How to recover windows 8 windows Enterprise 8

My sister's cell phone came with windows 8 is installed. She had improved to 8.1 but decided to get it back. It was damaged when she did a cover of the plant. She did not re install the anti virus. I tried to re instal but couldn't, I downloaded windows 8 Enterprise Edition. How to get back his computer Windows 8.1 without having to pay for it. It is a notebook from Toshiba. I went to their site, but received the message of their service is not available in Nigeria.

Thank you stephanie for your answer.

It's the OS that crashed. I went on the Toshiba site and found a way to recover the operating system - turn off the computer, turn on and press F12. In advance options press full reset. I did this and got to windows 8. Unfortunately, Microsoft rejected the product key provided with your computer. I'm still trying to resolve this.

But overall, I managed to recover the computer to factory settings.

I think what's happened with the initial recovery was that there were power outages for long periods during the recovery that lasted almost 10 hours. Recovery files might not complete.

I have all the files in place now, including the recovery disc.

I hope that it might help others.

  • How to install Vista on Satellite M40

I have a Satellite Pro M40 and I think to install Vista on it. I have no problem with the development of an operating system on my PC, after many, many times before. but I'm not sure I put it on my M40.
    Can someone give some advice?

Do I have to reformat the drive M40 first? If so, any reformatting program won't work or can I do it via the recovery disk provided. I am wary about using the recovery disc I do not know what to expect.

    Any help appreciated.

You can choose several ways of instillation. You can upgrade XP to Vista, you can install the Vista on a second partition or you will overwrite the existing XP.

If you overwrite the XP Vista will delete all installed applications.
I recommend you to install Vista on the second partition.
In this case, you can use the two operating system, XP, and Vista.

When you start you laptop, you will get a Boot Manager.
Then you could choose either XP or Vista

PS: as much as I know many applications is not compatible with Vista, and you will need new versions (if they exist!)
At the moment no Vista drivers are available for M40 :(
