How to reinstall CS3

I can't reinstall CS3 after losing it re-loading Windows.  The error message tells me to first uninstall CS3, but because it is not currently installed, I can do that.  I tried to download and install the Adobe cleaning tool, but does not install either my security keeps telling me that the Publisher is unknown and could be harmful.  I have a new system with XP and Win 7 OSs on a partitioned hard drive.  I want to reinstall XP, Windows 7 makes me all kinds of problems.  (Adobe support is not available for this problem on CS3).  Any suggestions?

The installation program downloaded was probably also an .exe file, but the file name begins with ADBE followed by other letters as dsignate the pagackage and the language and the end and more probably with _WWE.exe. This is a self-extracting compressed file that must be run first, and then run the installer from the extracted package. It is possible that the Adobe or Adobe 1 disk F: folder is root for the iinstaller excerpt, then take a look at those for the setup.exe file.

If you can not find the downloaded installer package, and you know what it is that you have purchased (since talk you about bridge it seems to me that if you bought either CS3 Design Standard, Design Premium or Master Collection rather than a stand-alone InDesign), you can probably find the free trial here: http://technolux.blogspot.com/2010/04/adobetrialdirectdownloadlinksakamidlmio.html

Read the instructions on the page VERY CAREFULLY. You can install the trial version and enter your serial number to convert it into a full version. If you do not know your serial number Let's hope you had the good sense to register the license with Adobe, you can log in to your Adobe account and find it (which would also you tell what version you have purchased).

  • Problem reinstalling CS3

It all started with an Adobe Acrobat update that would not install.  Every time you start, I have this little icon in the system tray telling me that I had an update to install.  But all attempts to do the installation produces an error message.

So I decided to try to reinstall CS3.

First of all, I have disabled the license without any problem.

    I uninstalled CS3.

I tried to reinstall, but after clicking on 'Install CS3 Design Premium', I

    installing.jpg

The progress meter fills up, the window disappears and nothing happens after that.

So, I ran the Adobe Creative Suite cleanup tool...

    cleanertool.jpg

... and that's how.  He simply stopped doing nothing at this point.

I watched ' add / remove Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium 1.0.log ' and found:

Error 1311.Source file not found: C:\Documents and Settings\Dan\Desktop\Adobe CS3 Design Premium (E) \Adobe CS3\WinBootstrapper1.cab.  Check that the file exists and that you can access.

This is about 15% of the path to the log file.  There are a lot of things after it is not contain errors.
    Anyway, you have any ideas?

Manish from Adobe has helped me solve this problem.  Had to remove the applications install Adobe listed in the Control Panel Add/Remove list.  But he wouldn't do that until we first ran the Windows cleaning tool.  I used this tool before removing the CS3, but has not bothered to look for something else.  Today, we used the tool to remove three copies of the Adobe installation and an element at the top of the list without name.

After that, all right.  Thanks, Manish!

Also, I learned that the Adobe installer spends a lot of time to search through the entire hard drive for previous installations.  So the more files on your computer, more this installer will take.

    Hi again

Juddlin I can find you a few subjects. I really put t know where I can write to you. ;) Please stay on this one.

If you want to install OS using expert mode control his topic http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2513

At number 7 it of description Put again inside the new size of the partition, and then press ENTER. There you can put 50% of the maximum size of HARD drive. After this HARD drive will be split on both sides. The first (C) will be used for the operating system and all the software you need. The other (D), you can use to store all your sensitive data.

If you sometimes in the future had to reinstall OS again use Expert mode and reinstall the operating system on the first partition. All the data you have on the second partition, you can use again.

    Hello there, murat119.

Looks like you're wanting to reformat the hard drive on your MacBook. The following Knowledge Base article offers up different options available for you:

How to reinstall OS X on your Mac

Wipe your drive and install OS X

Generally, you don't need to erase your startup disk to reinstall OS X. The OS X Installer is designed to allow you to perform an installation in place during the same version or earlier versions of Mac OS X. If you transfer your Mac to a new owner, you can clear your integrated boot disk before you reinstall OS X.

Important: Before you remove and reinstall, back up your important files. If you are using a MacBook, MacBook Air or MacBook Pro, make sure that the power adapter is connected and plugged all by performing the following steps.

You can use these measures to erase files on your startup drive and install a fresh copy of OS X:

    1. Before you begin, make sure that your Mac is connected to the Internet.
    2. Restart your Mac. Immediately hold down the command (⌘) keys and R after having heard the startup sound to boot into OS X Recovery.
    3. When the recovery window, select disk utility, then click on continue.
    4. Select the volume name back from your startup disk in the left side of the disk utility window, then click Delete.
    5. If you want to erase the disc safely, click Security Options. Select an erasing method, and then click OK.
    6. On the Format menu, choose Mac OS extended (journaled). Type a name for your drive, and then click clear.
    7. After that the drive is deleted, close the disk utility window.
    8. If you are not connected to the Internet, select a network in the Wi-Fi menu.
    9. Select the option to reinstall OS X.
    10. Click on continue and follow the instructions on the screen to reinstall OS X.

    Additional options

If you want to reinstall the version of Mac OS X included with your Mac, or if you have to reformat your entire startup disk, press Command + Option + R to start instead. This starts your Mac recovery of the Internet.

If you have more than one partition (like Boot Camp) and you want to delete the complete startup disk, you can use disk utility to remove the partitions or re-partition your hard drive. Start up your Mac in recovering from Internet, then use utility to repartition your boot disk drive until delete you it. Make sure that you back up important data from all partitions before repartitioning of a disc.

Thank you for being a part of the communities of Apple Support.

    See you soon.
