  Hi, I developed a small application for logging calls. I would like to know the procedure of implementation of security and notification settings.
  
  As I am new in this area, please explain in detail. Screenshots showing the configurations ([email protected]) would be highly appreciated.
  
  The main features and the application procedures-
  
  (a) users will see different usernames and passwords to trigger calls on a particular service
  (b) each Department has a call manager that will assign the call to a technician
  (c) the technician will solve the call and update status
  (d) the user will close the call and provide feedback
  
  Structure-
  
  1 table to keep users / employees - 1 Page - report and form
  1 table to manage call manager Department wise - 1 Page - report & form
  1 table for calls (stimulus, assign, resolve) - report and our multiple pages (one for the recording, one for the assignment, to solve and feedback with only the corresponding columns of the table) - I have created multiple forms, whereas a call can only be changed by a subsequent user)
  
  My requirement:
  
  1. the user must consult only the calls raised by him or her (User1 should not see the calls raised by user2)
  2. the technician should show the call triggered by her (user role) and can also view calls assigned
  3. the call manager can check the calls raised by him (user role) and can also show calls raised on his Department
  4 notification: email should be fired in each event only for the persons concerned, added to the call (the user handler calls, technician)
  
  
  Please guide me to implement the features above.

  Then select capture and navigate to capture roles add LDAP users and groups to roles according to your requirement to capture. If faced with any LDAP related issues can create the user with the admin role and try to add it all first by assigning the two roles out there. Hoping that this will certainly help.

  Essentially, the procedure is to configure the router for the specific appropriate for your router, and your ISP and your computers and intranet security settings.  You do not block your computers, you encode router transmissions so that others cannot use it without the username and password.  Then you configure your computers (or other devices connected) so that they know the appropriate codes and can communicate with the router.

  When I came across this myself, I discovered that the manufacturer of the router charged; However, I discovered that my ISP supports this particular router and they helped me as well with the router and my computer for free as part of their service - so I'd personally start with your ISP to see if they will help you.

  The following article gives the basic instructions for the router (and a few different), but it only covers the router (and not your connected devices) and it indicates the options to use but sometimes 'the best' is not appropriate or accessible with your ISP or router and the computers (which means that it's OK to learn about it in a general sense (, but you need to communicate with people to get the correct settings).  For example I would use WPA2 but my ISP doesn't support WPA is what I use (and if I tried the other it wouldn't work and I would have had no. clue what I was doing wrong and be stuck and confused). http://www.ehow.com/how_6942409_set-up-wireless-router-security.html.  So think of this as simply a presentation guide but use the following instead.

  In short, to access the router, go to any computer connected and click on start / all programs / accessories / right-click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.  Then type IPCONFIG/all.  For your first login, you should see a group of settings as a gateway by default (and possible other inputs) referring to a TCP/IP address (usually 192.168.0.1 or something similar to that).  This is the address of your router.

  Open now IE (or your browser) and in the address field where you can type www.microsoft.com, sometimes rather type the address of the router (for example, 192.168.0.1) and enter.  This should connect to the router where it will ask for a user name and password (almost certainly).  If you know, very well.  If this is not the case, the access provider manufacturer or router can help.  Many use default common (which you should change once get you it, but remember).  Certain combinations of username/password common name include admin/admin, admin/password, administrator/administrator/admin password, simply administrator or with any other admin for the password.

  There must be a security section.  Need you probably to get a security Type (WPA-Personal, WPA2-Personal,...), a Type of encryption (for example, TKIP, AES,...) and a security network (password thinking) key.  The first two depend too much from your ISP and the installation program to help me (and you may have different options or more also)-they need to tell you what to use.  The manufacturer of the router can probably help with this - but the ISP knows and can tell you.  Use a key strong you want it is hard to break.  Here is an article on the creation of strong passwords - for this and especially since you know that you used, I would out max and go even a little further than they suggest: http://www.microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/passwords-create.aspx.  I would choose one with 12 numbers which is a random set of letters lowercase, uppercase, numbers, and symbols - but also one you won't forget but that is anyone's guess (that you don't really want to not have to reset it).

  Once set, so even if not recommended by the router or the people of the ISP because if you forgot your password again, they will not be able to help the router becomes a paperweight (but it prevents a person to reset the router using the same stuff, I suggested above to find one that works - if they were not working and you don't need help to identify it) I would consider changing the default user name and password reset so no one can use this method ignores everything and get (even if you notice that and eventually be locked out yourself - and quite well, they will have to have physical access to the router to reset it because I don't think that this can be done remotely).  I did it with mine.  Others choose not to bother because they assume that nobody's going to such extremes and it would make things easier if you needed help more later and I forgot the password.  It's your choice.  I did it because I'm a little paranoid and know that I forget - but for the most part, I suggest they leave alone that can be a bit going overboard.

  Then go to all devices connected wireless or another for the router and configuration, security codes to enable this device (your computers and perhaps a printer or other devices) to access the router and don't not blocked everything as your neighbors now will be.  Go to network connections and sharing, then the list of wireless connections and select the connection of your router and right click and click Properties.  Click Security and three above options should appear.  Change them to match what you used for the router and save the settings.  Now close the connection to the router (if it doesn't what shouldn't be) and re-establish a connection and you may in.  Do same for all devices (printers and other devices probably have special methods to change these settings and you may need help with these providers to find a way to review the security settings to connect to the router - but usually it's really not hard and you can probably work yourself or using self-help on the Web site of the device or the manual if you still have it).

  That's all.  You have now completed and you are sure.  Again, you will need help from the ISP with the parameters (and they can also help you with everything if you ask and you need), but with this exception, most of the time I think that you can usually do it on your own.  Go into the router manufacturer only if absolutely necessary and the ISP will not or can not help and you can't find try it yourself since many of them charge for this kind of thing (unless it is brand new and some even then) and you need information from the ISP in any case as the router manufacturer probably does not know the right settings for each provider (even if they do for many is not reasonable to assume that they know not just less likely to the ISP).

  This is a pretty old router, but documentation is still available from Microsoft:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/902461 the 'Guide' is more complete, but the "Base Station Configuration Guide" will explain how to configure the router.

  I guess what you mean by a "password" is the password for the wireless encryption (there is also a password that controls access to the router configuration utility). The following are the basic steps to configure wireless encryption (see the documentation for more details and screenshots):

  1. utility access to the router configuration, preferably with a computer connected to the router with an Ethernet cable (if you change your wireless security, the parameters using a computer connected to the router by wireless, the connection will be abandoned as soon as you click APPLY).  Open a web browser and type 192.168.2.1 in the browser address box.  If you have not changed the logon password, enter 'admin' (without the quotes, all lowercase).

  2. click on the "Security" link on the home page of the configuration tool, then "Wireless Security".

  3. Select the "niveau_chiffrement" in the combo box to "256-bit WPA - PSK (louder)" - unless all of your wireless devices are so old they don't support WEP (unusual for a wifi device years less than 5 or 6).

  4. in the box, type a password (between 8 and 63 characters), and then click 'apply '. at this point, you will be disconnected from the router (and the Internet) If you did the above changes using a computer connected to the router WiFi.   Write the password in a place where you don't forget.

  5. close router configuration utility.

  To set up your wireless computers:

  9. make sure the box at the top next to "use Windows to configure my wireless."

  10. in the list of "Preferred networks", select the entry to your router (your network name), click on 'delete '.  [This deletes the entry from your wireless network WITHOUT a password, so that you will be able to add an entry for a network with the same name WITH a password.]

  11. click on the view wireless networks"" button.

  12. the name of your network should appear in the list of wireless networks.  Select it and click "connect". When you are prompted for the password, enter the WPA password set in the router configuration.

  13. open a web browser and confirm that you can access the Internet.

  If you have a superior taste of Windows 7 you can / must define the rights to change the time system and time zone via the policy editor gpedit.msc. They are defined in the strategy/Security Settings user rights assignments / Local. Ensure that only administrators and the Local Service can change these settings.

  If you have a taste less then you need to do it via a number of commands in the console, i.e.
  net localgroup
  NTRights users - r seSystemtimePrivilege-u
  NTRights u users - r seTimezonePrivilege

  Note also that your children are more intelligent, they will find additional methods to bypass your restrictions. If you let me sit in front of your machine then I would be able to do as I please in less than five minutes, without knowing a single password. This means that you may need to solve this problem by teaching ways rather than technical.

  You have found an omission in documentation. You can use ATTR_MAX_ENTRY_LENGTH and ATTR_MAX_ENTRY_CHARS with SetTreeCellAttribute and SetTreeItemAttribute to set the max entry for a cell of the tree.

  On an XP machine, I used accidentally (cygwin bash shell) command line tool to the administrator account of hierarchically to change the owner of "c:\Documents and Settings\LocalService".  All children & records files that are hierarchically under this folder had their property changed administrator.

  To try to fix this problem, I checked a XP Mode VM and found that all files/folders in "c:\Documents and Settings\LocalService" should be the property of LOCAL SERVICE.  It comes to choose files/folders in "c:\Documents and Settings\LocalService" raise their properties panel, ranging in the Security tab, click on advanced and selecting the owner tab in the advanced security settings window that results.  I can also use this tab to change owners, but unfortunately, I can't change the owner to the LOCAL SERVICE.  It is not an option in the in the list of names for the evolution of the property.  Probably because it isn't a regular account.

  Is it possible to set the owner to the LOCAL SERVICE?  What is the effect of having the bad owner?

  P.S. I also have the same problem with the "c:\Documents and Settings\NetworkService".  Thanks for the replies on this subject, too.

  what you are looking for is a "wireless encryption key.

  I recommend using dartybox.com as a resource for this. Depending on your router, you will find the installation wizards to help you with the configureing wireless security.

  Here are some main parameters that you will want to choose (if you are prompted to set in the Wizard):

  • WPA (not WEP) - maybe isn't able to use WPA2 with XP
  • 128-bit (not 64)
  • password or key: do not use a Word from the dictionary.

  and don't forget there are two 'passwords' on your router. One is the router admin password that gives you access to the configuration of the router. The second is the wireless key or password.

  You can access the start utility by typing "msconfig" in the start menu-> "search programs and files". From there, go to the Startup tab and you can select the programs to start and which not.

  Regarding the priority, I don't think there is a way, anyway you shouldn't be worried that your anti-virus starts just after other programs that it does not put you in danger.

  If you wish for a quick start you should probably disable most of the non-critical programs in the list, don't worry you do not break your computer if you uncheck anything that you don't know what it is, but I recommend that you don't have before checking what it is.
