How to uninstall Broadcom Bluetooth software that vanish not
Hello, my situation is similar tothis issue for Windows 7, except that my OS is Windows XP SP3. I recently realized that I made the mistake of buying a Bluetooth adapter and install the Broadcom/Widcomm Bluetooth stack driver software. Now that I know that the software is not good, I want to uninstall it. Then I installed the Toshiba stack for the Cirago adapter. Now, when I double-click on the setup.exe file that is provided with the Cirago driver, nothing happens (it does not start the installation program).
I tried to uninstall all the drivers Bluetooth pre-installed in the Device Manager, and I don't see the remains of all Bluetooth drivers there.

But I don't see that the small Bluetooth icon has not changed:

I don't see anything on Bluetooth, Widcomm or Broadcom in Add/Remove programs. I do not see any folder called Broadcom or Widcomm in the Program Files folder, either. But I don't see that Broadcom appears in the registry regarding Bluetooth, as shown here.

I've also renamed all the files in C:\windows\inf which starts by "bth" so that it ends with ".old".
What should I do now to completely wipe this Bluetooth of Broadcom persistent my computer software?

Method 1.
It is possible that the device is hidden in Device Manager. You have to click Show hidden devices in Device Manager, and then uninstall it from there.

Method 2.
If you are unable to install the adapter of Cirago I would ask you to check the logs in the case where the display for more details.

I use a Dell desktop XPS 8300, CPU Intel (R) Core i7-2600 3.40 GHz, 8.00 GB of RAM, Windows 7 Home Premium Svc Pack 1, 64-bit OS.
I decided to install Windows 8 and got stuck when he says that I can not continue until I have MANUALLY uninstall the Software Bluetooth Broadcom on my system. However, I CAN'T FIND it! I checked device, including hidden items Manager and there is no evidence showing Bluetooth. When I try to click on the shortcut icon (to configure Bluetooth), I get a window that says Windows Explorer has stopped and he is looking for a solution but found nothing.
There is no listed software is the list of programs and I can't find it in the Add/Remove Programs area. After much research I found two items:
btstackserver.exe c:\program Widcomm software\btstackserver.exe and also
BTTray.exe c:\program Widcomm software\bttray.exe
I'm not either of those of any place where I can uninstall (or install them?). They do NOT appear in the program list. I did, somehow, get the Bluetooth symbol to appear in the status bar and tried to set it up, but he kept saying that my Bluetooth was not lit. I don't even know if I have the Bluetooth on this computer! (and I don't really like, I would just get Win8 installed!)
I thought to delete the folders above, but do not think that that would solve my problem and probably it would be worse!
If anyone has any ideas that can help me, I would be sincerely grateful for it. I have been trying now for about 6 to 7 hours and will leave for the night. Maybe tomorrow will bring more luck!

Sorry for the late reply. A week was very busy.
Looks like a pretty messy situation.
I suggest you only to contact Dell to see if they have information.
A search revealed a pretty scary incident (which is supposed to be fixed now),
but there may be other problems that Dell knows and can help you.
It is probably possible to find a way to uninstall manually,
but after reading the above, I am reluctant to venture...

How to uninstall an add-on that does not appear on my list?
When I go on my Facebook page, part of it has a message that maybe reading "ads go to save" a hundred times on the page. If I click on a photo or something, "ads browse for save" will reappear, as long as the window is open, it is almost impossible to comment/read of other comments. The PROBLEM is that 'Browse to save' does not appear on the list of extensions/add-ons/plug-ins. It's happened before with an 'ad' different Web site and I had to uninstall/reinstall firefox. Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

Do a check with some malware malware, analysis of programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.

First issue. Microsoft Silverlight guard display itself. I hid at least twice since I reinstalled Windows 7 a few months ago and it's annoying.
Second issue. How can I stop Windows Update to provide updates for software that is not installed? I installed Microsoft office with only Word, Excel, Access and Outlook and yet it is the display updates for PowerPoint and PowerPoint Viewer that I specifically not have installed. Once again, it is annoying to have to check updates to software that is not yet installed on my machine.

I bought a new Mac Pro, transferred my CS software on it from my old Mac Pro, now I can't access Illustrator, only the version of cloud of the trial. How can I use the software that I already bought?
Just to clarify, in the case where this help anyone. I transferred more SC around 6 to help Apple migration assistant, and the only program in the suite that could not be accessed except through the trial version of cloud was the Illustrator. After that more than an hour on the Adobe support chat, turns out that I needed to follow the guests to buy cloud version, then type the serial number of my CS software at some point in the process. There you go.

I just bought a XPS420, and I regularly get the following message is displayed:

As my keyboard and mouse are based on a Bluetooth connection with the media player high speed 19-in-1, I'm a little worried that it may stop working at any given time. Should I worry and how can I fix?
I suspect that the problem may be due to a program called registry Power Cleaner (Winferno), I downloaded from a link on the McAfee site.

I have a software that is not compatible with FF4. I would like to revert to a previous version of FF. Perhaps 3.x. Is it possible and how can I do this if it is. It will probably be a short-term situation until the software is updated for compatibility.
To return to the previous secure version which is 3.6.17, follow these steps:
- Go to Download Firefox v3.6.17 and upload it to the office.
- Then go to add/remove programs, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and delete it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations, etc. (don't tick the box).
- Reboot and delete the folder called "Mozilla Firefox" at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
- Finally, run the installation file downloaded previously on the desktop.
Your bookmarks, etc., customizations are stored in a different location and will become available to you even once you complete the installation.
After completing the installation, go to the Plugins check page and update if necessary.
