  If a firmware update is available, AirPort Extreme flashes orange.

  The most up-to-date version of the firmware is 7.7.3.

  Open Finder > Applications > utilities > AirPort Utility

  Click on the image of the AirPort Extreme

  Look for the Version

  If the new firmware was available, you will see a button update here

  To change the wireless network password...

  Click on edit in the window smaller than you watched just to check the firmware version

  Click on the Wireless tab at the top of the next window

  Go back / change the wireless password and enter a new password

  Do the same thing to check

  Click Update at the bottom right of the window and give the airport a minute full for restart

  So I have a big problem. I need to add a printer to my laptop to print important documents, but I can't connect to it without my administrator password. My father is the administrator of my computer and reset his password twice now to remember one, but forgetting the current. We tried everything we could for the passwords, but it did not work. I made a password reset disk, and when I've blocked my standard account and went to the login screen and follow the steps in the password reset Wizard, I came across an error message when I tried to reset the password. The message was this: an error occurred while the wizard was attempting to set the password for this user account. It's a problem I've experienced actually, but that's not important right now. I used to have BitLocker on my USB (password reset disk), but I went through a lot to remove it because I thought it was BitLocker causing the error message to display. However, I removed BitLocker, and I still get the same error message. How can I reset my password without completely restoring Windows 7 because I have on my browser bookmarks that are mandatory for me and there's like a mile away, so I'll never have time to go to each link and save the URL. My father suggest saving all my documents on an external hard drive, then Windows 7 reset, but then all my bookmarks and downloads disappear with it. I'm also not allowed to install some things that I want to use my standard account, but I'm not allowed to do so without the administrator password. I need to reset my password or at least become an administrator myself my own standard account, because I was put in place with this for almost a year now, and I'm tired. I searched online for password crackers that are not very reliable, but also require an administrator password to install! I tried the CMD tactic, but you must run as an administrator to reset the password, right? But how can I do if I don't know the administrator password?   Here you go:

  1. Set your BIOS so that it uses the DVD drive as its primary boot device.
  2. Start the computer with your Windows 7 repair CD.
  3. Press a key when prompted to boot from the DVD.
  4. Select 'PC Repair' in the menu.
  5. Select 'Repair' when prompted.
  6. When you are prompted, select System Restore.
  7. Configure Windows to a point before you changed the password.
  8. Plan ahead a little and create, test and document an alternative admin account, same as you have a spare emergency House key. This will save you a lot of trouble.
