HP 15-AC168TU: plug headphones and MIC not working not

I bought a brand new HP 15-AC168TU on amazon computer and received two days back.  Micro and Headjack work in my computer HP 15-AC168TU.

I checked sound in Control Panel.

When reading, I can see that speaker/CV. I don't see a helmet.

In the recording tab, micro (black) front panel, the State is "unplugged".

Since the microphone and headaches do not work, Cortana is also not working.

Please help solve the problem

  • Headphones + microphone does not when plugged into the headphone jack on Macbook pro.

    Hello

I have a problem that has caused me a lot of irritation just because it seems so simple to fix, but Ive tried practically everything that I can think to do better and it has really improved.

I was skyping the other day and I took my headphones into the headphone. They have a microphone in them. When I plugged hide them in, I could hear the other person, but they could not hear me. It was the first time Id used for Skype, but still, something must happen in this brief moment of ruin.

So I did some research here and on google and I couldn't find much. The page here titled "Why slope my friend hear me on Skype" seemed to work correctly the first time, I followed his instructions, but to test it, I unplugged my helmet again. Once again, it fouling all upward. I even wrote the settings he was conducting (apple System Preferences) and Skype and when I put them in the way it was when it worked, it worked this time.

Just to be clear, I fixed it, but then to test it, I took out my helmet again and it has stopped working and even with the same settings, it will not work. It's extremely frustrating.

It will work when I plug my headphones into the audio jack, but then I can't out of my helmet, which defeats the purpose of having them.

My headset is not broken and my helmet is not broken because I can listen to music through my headphones and use my headset to call my friend on my helmet.

I feel that somehow, my helmet (which previously was transmitting my input headphone MIC perfectly) has become messed up somehow (I feel like there must be a setting or something that Im overlooking) and I just need to configure it to work at the time of entry and exit instead of having input/output divided between the helmet and the microphone port.

I hope this was clear enough. Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions that you may find useful.

I can't tell if it's a Skype problem or a problem of mac, but Im asking here just see what I can learn.

    Thanks in advance

Too bad. I forgot the first rule to set anything on the computer: turn off and on. It works, but it seems absurd that something like that (what I think is something fairly common) would need to restart your computer.

    Well.

  • Must unplug the headphones and then plug it back in to get them to work on start up

Must unplug the headphones and then plug back in to get to work, they use to work all the time if I just left it plugged in. Out of the blue they stopped working. In Device Manager when I boot up (it is when they do not work), it shows that its speakers on only, once I have unplug my headphones it appears... There is no unknown device anywhere. It shows like "Cirrus Logic CS4208". As much as I know there is no new drivers... Is there anyway I can force bootcrap to re-download the drivers?

You can use OS X BC Assistant for re - download drivers of BC and the re-install. Do you have any active Windows automatic updates?

  • How to use HDMI and plug headphones at the same time?

I'm running to a HDMI projector (via a HDMI-DVI adapter) for video and Composite (red & white RCA) using the socket for headphones and a splitter cable to a receiver of older Theater-in-a-box type for audio. But when I plug the HDMI, the headset turns off - no sound. I've seen people describe the ways to solve this problem for older versions of Windows, but I have Windows 8 and I'm unable to find. Thank you

    Michel,

Apparently, it is not possible to output sound via the HDMI and the headphone jack at the same time.  But if you want to watch the video via HDMI and listen via the headset follow these steps:
Right click on the speaker icon in the task bar > left, click playback devices > right-click on HDMI > disable.
    It works for me.

  • My hp pavilion dv6 3010us stopped charging and will not recognize it is is plugged

I was using my laptop just as usual, plugged in and charge, when he spontaenously started running on the battery. I made sure all connections of the cord (output plug, cord box, plugged in the power cord and plug for laptop) were very good, tested on another plug and checked the cord for all internal or weak points - each five-by-five seemed obvious. The battery is discharged at a ridiculous rate (one percent per minute on saving energy with a gray screen mode) and not USB plug-ins when on battery. No amount of fiddling with it will get the battery to consider itself connected, even though I know that power is getting at least to the adapter box. as it has an indicator light. I can't run a check of the battery because he does not have to be plugged in to the AC adapter. The problem seems to be with the battery or adapter - the absurd rate with which the laptop uses power would seem to indicate that the battery, but the fact that the computer will not "plug-in" suggests that it is the adapter - but as far as I know, it's somewhere inside the laptop computer between the two. I prefer not to spend money on both, espcially if the problem is neither. Any suggestions?

    Goodrock, welcome to the forum.

Because the computer is almost 7 years old, I don't think that HP will have parts.  In my opinion, your best option is to buy an external card reader and card internal with USB ports.  Headphone and microphone sockets will be difficult to replace, or not at all.

  • Audio comes through the speakers and headphones plugged headphones

Audio sound plays through the headphons and speakers when headphones are connected.

    Any advice appreciated

    Hello again Nervuz,

    Thanks for the quick response!

Based on the information you have provided, I recommend to uninstall and reinstall the audio driver for your desktop. To do this, please follow this document on follow-up with the IDT High Definition Audio Driverdownload and software uninstaller (Windows 8). If this does not work and you hear again audio to both the speakers and earphones, please follow the next step.

The next step is to run a diagnostics using Automated Troubleshooting (Windows 8)program. This should help with the audio in question.

Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your response!
