Any advice appreciated

Hello again Nervuz,

Thanks for the quick response!

Based on the information you have provided, I recommend to uninstall and reinstall the audio driver for your desktop. To do this, please follow this document on follow-up with the IDT High Definition Audio Driverdownload and software uninstaller (Windows 8). If this does not work and you hear again audio to both the speakers and earphones, please follow the next step.

The next step is to run a diagnostics using Automated Troubleshooting (Windows 8)program. This should help with the audio in question.

Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your response!

  • Volume display shows options for the speakers and headphones

Whenever I click on the window of the volume in the corner, it shows two sliders, one for my speakers and one for my helmet. This wouldn't be a problem if my headset work now. I plugged them (brand new, by the way) and his memory to come through the speakers. I went through the troubleshooting, searched this forum very and discovered that my headphones are the communications device by default and not to the default device. I've been trying to put my headphones by default, but it wouldn't let me, doing nothing when I clicked "Set as default". I tried to turn off my speakers, which almost worked if it wasn't the fact that now almost all the sound elements was not present at all.

  • How can divide you two audio streams to the speakers and the headphones, using two separate takes?

I am currently using windows 7 and I want to have music that fate of my speakers then I have game sounds threw my helmet. I currently have Hd Realtek Audio Driver.

    Bumping an old topic.

I also had this works with the Realtek HD Audio Manager.
There is an option in the settings: "do front and rear output devices play two different audio streams at the same time."
    Check it and you're good.

It worked!  Thank you!!  I thought that I should buy a 2nd card audio to accomplish this task.  Can't thank you enough.

And for the person looking for the option, double-click the Realtek speaker icon in the status bar.  When the window appears look on the left side, click on the pinion (Advanced Settings feature) and you'll see the option right there in the middle of the screen.  Check the box, it will reload the audio driver and you will be ready to go!

I'm trying to figure out how make my computer recognize them both at the same time. Until my recent updates I could disable my speaker and sound was still coming through the headset but either headphones now have no audio or the speakers do not have. Realtek Hd Manager doesn't seem to like them both at the same time. At the same time I didn't need the microphone turned on the headset due to having a Logitech cam with a. • When I plug my headphones, the sound always pregnant. What should I do to get the sound to come through the headphones?

I have a laptop HP with Windows 2007.  I can not access my helmet.  I have Plug and always sound speakers.  What I am doing wrong?

    Hello

    ·         The headset works on different computers?

    ·         When is - this problem started?

Check if your headset is set to use as the default value * Communication * device instead of the default device, or if the two devices are configured by default. If so, do the default headphones, so that Windows will use only when they are connected to follow the steps below:

    Check volume settings.

    a. right click on the speaker icon in the taskbar, then select volume control options.

    b. put a check mark on "all devices evolving sound.

    c. make sure you have "Default uncontrolled communication device".

    d. place a check on the speakers and headphones.

  • T440 - Sound does not switch between the internal speakers and headphones listening or return

    Hello community,

Let me first explain how I assumed that the switch between headset and speakers should work:
I turn on the music or anything else and if no headphones are connected, all sound from the internal speakers. Now if I plug headphones then sound comes exclusively from the helmet. If I go out then again the sound comes from the speakers and so on.

In my case, the situation is the following:
If I have no headset connected and turn on the music, then I heard if via the speakers. If I decide to continue to listen to this music through a headphone and plug them in, then the music continues to come from the speakers, but for example, the outlook notification sound is delivered in the headphones. It works vice versa.
If I open, say youtube for a video, while having the headphone is plugged, I hear the sound through them. If I now unplugg, them, the speakers will remain silent.

What can I do that if there is no external speakers connected (helmet, etc.) all sound will be played through the internal speakers, if I plug in a kind of external speaker, it's their part and if I unplugg it it switches back on the internal speakers?

Thank you very much for your help!

    Best regards

Look in Control Panel audio Realtek. It should be an option multistreaming, make sure it is set to unify all devices.

  • How to fix sound coming speakers and headphones at the same time?

My computer old enough, I'll tell you that. I bought it on ebay with Windows XP pre-installed, and I uninstalled it instantly to I can have the pleasure of installing Windows Me (because I'm a little strange) with an installation disc, I had to hang out. Everything worked fine, until one day I decided to install Windows NT 4.0 and that pretty well done the sound somehow. To resolve this problem when I reinstalled XP, I found a driver that worked perfectly. With XP, I've had no problem with the sound since I installed the driver; the sound comes through the headset when it is plugged and through the speakers when my headphones are plugged into.

Now, here's the problem. I installed Windows 7 Home Premium last night, as it came with another computer that broke some time ago. It works perfectly, just a little slow because my computer is old. Of course, I expect to have to install the audio driver again, as I formatted my hard drive before installing 7. So I downloaded the driver from the same place, as I always do, site Web of Realtek. After installation, the sound works fine - but it comes out through the speakers and the headphones at the same time.
I tried to plug my headphones into the Jack located on the front of the computer and back, and it's still having the same problem. He has nothing else connected to the computer but the monitor, keyboard, mouse and wifi adapter.
Windows 7 is the only OS by far that has had this problem on this computer. Strangely, on the computer on which he came with, I have no trouble. I plugged it right in there and badabing badaboom, everything was perfect.
So I don't understand why it does not work on this computer. If necessary, my audio device in the sound options is Realtek AC 97 Audio.
    Any help would be appreciated!

  • Pavilion dv6: new headphones, but some emissions are transmitting sound through speakers and headphones.

    Spoiler (Highlight to read)
    Hello
    Hello

I recently bought a new headphones for the game but had some problems with it and the sound system. A major problem is when I have someone call on Skype, the Skype sound or the call will go through the headphones, but on the other audio from the speakers. I also agree that also what iTunes does not work when I am in a call as well. Some examples would be that if I want to watch a YouTube video during a call, noise would come by the speakers and not the headphones. However, I found a solution for this. All I had to do was turn off the main speakers and the audio was transmitted to the headphones. Another example would be that if I want to run the games through Steam (Garry Mod, TF2, ect.), I get no sound in the game. Not through my speakers or headphones. With one exception, volume of Garry Mod, I can hear through the speakers so that in a Skype call, but I want the sound to come through the headphones. But with TF2, I have no sound whatsoever. If you need more information about me, feel free to ask. Thank you.

  • Re: Satellite C660: Sound through the speakers when the headset is connected.

    I have a brand new 258 C660, running on Windows 7.
Playback device: Realtek High Definition Audio

    * Whenever I have headphones or external speakers connected via the 3.5 mm jack plug, sound still comes through the built-in distant.*

    Here's what's happened so far:

When I plugged the external speakers were first, I was asked to choose if I had plugged a headphone or speakers. I selected "speakers" and then also, perhaps foolishly, choose "do not ask me again".
Now, I can't to this selection again.

Here's what I've tried so far:
    -Reboot
-Try different headphones, try them on other devices
-System Restore (not, for some reason any)
-all settings via the sound control panel

Basically, I think that I am looking for a way to disable the internal ATAPI Jack when the external Jack 3.5 mm is used.

I am aware, there was a similar thread some time ago, but the problem may be slightly different and perhaps due to the fact that I chose "do not ask me again". At least, I hope this isn't a hardware problem...

Thanks in advance for any advice

Don t think there s hardware issue.

    Try this:
    Connect the headphones.
Go to the control panel-> Sound-> playback tab
Here, you should see the speakers and headphones.
Now choose the headphones and set this default value.

  • Sound is comin from the speaker and headphones at the same time. How to solve this problem?

Hello! I installed win7 professional and upgrade to ultimate and when I play a music or vdo sound is coming from the speaker and the headphones. I have a 3ghertz Pentium 4 with 1 GB of ram, and it runs the 32-bit version. And also the headphone option is not present in the peripheral reading option.
Can any1 please please help me?

We consider that your machine uses Realtek HD audio-
(Older versions of Realtek HD audio drivers may have a slightly different form, but the)
    basics should be the same).

    There are two ways to set up the helmet when it is plugged into the façade decision-making;
    (1) in Realtek Manager of her go to Advanced Settings feature in the upper right of the window.
Check the circle next to cut... plugged back.
When this fact was you must also click on the yellow folder icon below the
Device settings advanced and check 'Disable protection of jack façade' is clear.
-Of the drawbacks of this method are that you do not get an option of separate settings for headphones.
then they use the same environment as your speakers and EQUALIZER settings, but you can use both the
speakers and the headphones if you wish.
-Note that with this option, the helmet does not show in Sound Manager window.

    (2) advanced settings in the sound Manager go to Realtek device.
The check box next to do advance... at the same time.
This will disable the speakers when headphone is plugged in the socket of the façade,
and return to the speakers when headphones are disconnected.
Also check one or more of the boxes below, according to your need.

-With this setting, there is an option for headphones in the two Windows Sound manager
    and Realtek HD Audio Manager.
-With this setting, it does not matter which option to use in yellow folder as the setting icon
is ' either / or '. You cannot run at the same time the speakers and headphones.

-Note that with games the headset must be connected prior to spear the game, or
the default set to the speakers.

    Hello Terry

After looking into this for you, the most common way to have audio play among two different devices is to use a virtual audio device called Mix stereo. I found a YouTube video where someone shows how he installed the stereo mix on Windows 8 Preview of consumer. Unfortunately, read the comments below several users report that the referenced driver does not work for the operating system Windows 8 to address fully released.

I'm not sure another way to have an audio reading of the two different devices on Windows 8.
