HP 15-d005TU Notebook PC: problems with the top case on my keyboard special characters.

The special uppercase are all mixed for example when I press on "I get @ and vice versa and so also with many others."

HP technical support tried to helpout superimposed thses since a few months and I have also tried to follow what is indicated in this forum. No luck so far. If anyone can help.

Hello

Looks like you got the wrong keyboard layout set - ie US layout on a UK keyboard, or vice versa.

You can change your keyboard layout as described on the corresponding link below.

  • Problem with the order of focus of keyboard on the form of Muse (UPDATE)

    Hello.

    I used the standard form of Muse on a Web site. Everything works fine, except for the order of keyboard focus.

    I mean, it's after a name entry, you press TAB and you go on the field of the e-mail. That's ok. BUT, when you press TAB once again, it will not in the message field. He goes to the button send and then starts to go through the links in the navigation bar and only after all of them it goes on the message field.

    I suspect that my form is not align vertically (and shot the message field to the right) Muse is just after a vertical order. As there is nothing under the email field, it goes back to the navigation bar (which is fixed at the top and has interactive elements / links) and then again to find the message field.

    I think the image as an attachment can explain this better. The URL is Bytezone - Digital goods better to do besides.

    Is the cause of the order of the fields in the form, or is there a way for me to control the order of keyboard somehow focus?

    UPDATE - I just realized that the FIRST element to focus on the use of the TAB key is the message, then the name and e-mail (which is weird). How can I solve this?

    Thanks in advance.

    PS - as a 'bonus' problem, I can't find a way to edit the FOCUS State of the Submit button also. Is this normal?

    form_focus_problem.png

    Muse assigns values to index tab in a 'left to right', then order "top to bottom". Then tab order should follow the same regardless of the creation of fields or placement in design mode.

  • Problem with Demo_Mail package sending an attachment and special characters

    Hello

    I did use the Demo_Mail package with the example in the http://www.oracle.com/technology/sample_code/tech/pl_sql/htdocs/Utl_Smtp_Sample.html for many years on my 9i database.

    Recently, we have taken a form that depends on this package and quickly found that Asian characters were not correctly in the e-mail subject or body. When I changed the procedure by example, characters came through, however, attachments now appear in the body of the email as ascii.

    /*------------------------------------------------------start the email creation--------------------------------------------------------------------*/
    Conn: = demo_mail.begin_mail)
    sender = > from_name,.
    recipient = > to_name,.
    subject = > subject,.
    mime_type = > "text/plain; charset = utf8');

    () demo_mail.write_mb_text
    Conn = > conn,.
    message = > message | UTL_TCP. CRLF);

    If file1 is not null
    then
    () demo_mail2.begin_attachment
    Conn = > conn,.
    mime_type = > ' application/octet-stream. "
    Online = > FALSE,
    v_filename = > file1.
    transfer_enc = > 'base64');

    file_len: = dbms_lob.getlength (wire);
    modulo: = mod (file_len, TN);
    parts: = trunc(file_len / amt);

    / * (dbms_lob.read (wire, amt, filepos, buf); * /)

    While (counter < = pieces) LOOP

    DBMS_LOB. Read (wire, amt, filepos, buf);
    demo_mail.write_raw (conn, utl_encode.base64_encode (buf));
    filepos: = counter * TN + 1;
    counter: = counter + 1;

    END LOOP;

    / * Point on the rest of the data buffer * /.
    IF (modulo <>0) then
    DBMS_LOB. Read (wire, modulo, filepos, buf);
    demo_mail2.write_raw (conn, utl_encode.base64_encode (buf));
    end if;

    () demo_mail.end_attachment
    Conn = > conn);
    end if;

    () demo_mail.end_mail
    Conn = > conn);
    /*------------------------------------------------------end the email creation--------------------------------------------------------------------*/

    How can I have my cake and eat it too? Examples of scripts showing this scenario exist?

    In addition, even if I was able to get the body of the email to display special characters, the subject line still displays question marks instead of the special characters. I was never able to solve this problem.

    Any help to any of these questions is greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

    Kim

    You use the utl_encode.quoted_printable_encode before making all these changes? Most, if not all, of these accented characters must be converted to quoted printable form by the utl_encode.quoted_printable_encode function, then you only need to focus on the specific characters that must be encoded to the channel to cover additional expenditures for the mimeheader encoding. Specifically the white space characters should be encoded as well as the question mark.

    Also, I have done some minor testing and it seems that the quoted_printable_encode function folds the text when it exceeds a specific length. If I unfold the coded text object lines seem to come by fine. The folding text string is an equal sign followed by the sequence CRLF, unfold the text is a simple matter of these three characters. These changes becomes the encoding routine encapsulated in a function:

    create or replace function mimeheader_encode(
          p_str varchar2
        , p_charset varchar2 := 'UTF-8') return varchar2 is
      l_str varchar2(2000);
    begin
      l_str:=utl_raw.cast_to_varchar2(utl_encode.quoted_printable_encode(utl_raw.cast_to_raw(p_str)));
      l_str:=replace(l_str,'='||chr(13)||chr(10),''); --unfold the data
      l_str:=replace(l_str,'?','=3f'); --quote question marks
      l_str:=replace(l_str,' ','=20'); --quote spaces
      l_str:='=?'||p_charset||'?Q?'||l_str||'?='; -- add prefix and suffix
      return l_str;
    end;

  • Problems with the Microsoft Sidewinder X 4 keyboard

    The keys Q, W, A, S, Z, Tab, caps lock, shift, Left Shift, left Ctrl, Left Alt, Win key, ~, 1, 2, 3, ESC, F1, F2, F3, to change the mode (upper-left), Play/Pause, Record, S1 - S6, digital pad, more numeric keypad and keypad input do not work. Everything else works. I use a laptop Dell XPS 1340, Windows 7 x 64 Home and Intellitype Pro version 8.2. I thought that maybe its due to the fact that I use a laptop, so I used it on 2 other laptops, but the same keys don't always work. I also tried on Windows XP 32 - bit and Ubuntu 32-bit using VirtualBox but the same keys still don't work.

    If you have tested on other machines and it still doesn't work right, then it seems that you're ready for a new. You have spilled something on what may have shorted something out? If all that many keys do not work, I would say this is trash.

    Because it doesn't work anyway, you could always take it apart and see if he has anything obviously broken inside. If it's one of the traces of carbon, you're pretty much out of luck (although there are patches for them), but if it's a cut wire, which can always be soldered back.

    You're not instill a lot of confidence in the KB for me; I use a x 4 right now and would be very angry if she stops me. I think it's one of the best keyboards I've used over a period of 30 years :-)

  • Problem with the HP Pavilion e033tx-15 Notebook shutdown/restart/sleep

    I had windows 8 OS 64-bit working fine with my HP Pavilion Notebook 15-e033tx.

    I had problems, so I decided to update my drivers. I already had BIOS VersionF.08 and the hp support page has shown that there is an update of the bios to VersionF.21.

    After updating the bios the problem started when I stop lighting and the laptop into sleep mode kindof. I have to hold the switch down to foce him close. If I restart it, it says "reboot pc", goes blank and then all power off, and it's not stopped.  and if I SLEEP, he's not waking up.

    I rolled back the bios and it fixed the issue.

    Then I freshly installed win pro 8.1, and it has only VersionF.21 of the bios available.  Same problem again.

    HP Support Assistant showed that a new bios update Insyde F.22. But the problem is still there.

    I searched other posts with similar problem and I can't seem to solve this problem. Help, please.

    Henrico Hello and welcome on the HP Forum!

    I understand that you have a problem with the BIOS.  I'll try my best to help you solve this problem. I suggest following the procedure described in this document for the restoration of the BIOS .

    If this does not resolve this problem then restores the version F.08 http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02693833 driver it should always work for Windows 8.1.  Here is a document for more information of the device to Windows 8 Manager which explains how to roll back the driver. It will be the same steps for Windows 8.1.

    I suggest Using HP Support Assistant (Windows 8) to change your settings for manual update. This allows you to choose what you want updates.

    I hope that this information help, please let me know how it goes.

    Thank you and have a great day!

  • Satellite C40D-C - problems with the system

    I recently bought an a toshiba satellite C40D-C Series notebook PC as my old satellite - essentially - is dying. After you connect to the internet, I tried to download AVG Antivirus on my computer that I don't have - and never - trust McAfee anti-virus that comes with the computer. Every time downloaded AVG then restart my computer, the computer goes directly into the automatic repair system and doesn't let me do anything but to reset or restore. This has happened even with completely removed McAfee. I've been on AVG directly today (January 15), and they have to do remote set-up for me - with the same results. Yes, I'm aware that McAfee is a selfish cry of a system and refuses to acknowledge any other antivirus, but that this issue happens even with completely removed McAfee shows clearly that it is something that Toshiba has worked in the system. I can't even disable the automatic repair tool. I have to be stuck with a McAfee antivirus which, moreover, does not yet or is Toshiba will make an effort to help solve a problem they caused?

    Why this computer isn't allowing AVG Antivirus work? And why, after each attempt to download AVG, the computer goes to auto repair whenever I shut down or restart? Is this a problem with the system or something, Toshiba has done on purpose?

    Probably notebooks cooling fan doesn t work properly and the unit cannot be cooled as it should this can lead to cell damage through an internal temperature longer.

  • Satellite U400 - 10L: problem with the start-up & reboot

    Hello

    Well I don't like much about the touchpad overheating but I have a problem. When I restart this mobo instead of activate after a reboot it stays black without any reaction only lower diods, dvd - rom and the display flashes (can't hear fan or hard drive).

    If I press the power button / stop all the icons of diod (ac, pwr, hdd bat) shine up just for a second and new (can't hear the fan hard drive or cpu) computer does not turn on. All this happened only when AC cable is connected to the power if I use just notebook power source battery boots and restart without problems.

    If I remove battery completely from the laptop, once more, I get the same symptoms (cannot start). And the saddest part of this story is the fact that I got brand new Toshiba U400 10 L to the seller and got a new.
    It has the exact same problem.
    As you all probably understand im crazy because in the last two days, I tried really everything, including the BIOS without flashing and the success.

    Well im not sure whats going on, but this could be the problem with the battery or a bad contact?
    Any ideas?
    I would return it back?

    Thanks much for the reply

    Hello

    The behavior of your laptop is really strange and I suppose it might be bound only to a hardware problem.

    A friend of mine couldn't t start the laptop connected to the AC adapter the power adapter is faulty. It was only possible to start Notepad using the battery, and only if the battery was not completely empty.

    I put t know if your AC adapter failures but the authorized service provider should definitely check out the laptop and accessory for laptop (AC adapter).

    Then call the ASP in your country and ask the technicians for later handling.

    Hi @MichaelMazz ,

    Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Notebook 15-e070sl and the keys does not properly.  Select an on-screen keyboard layout using this document , as this could be the problem.

    If this is not enough, try this document on troubleshooting the keyboard. You can watch the laptop marked key stuck section.

    Here is a link to uninstall the keyboard. Restart the computer after the uninstall, it must be reinstalled automatically.

    Have you tried to clean the key or use air to blow the key there could be debris in the key itself?

    I hope this helps.

  • Problems with the Precision M4400 and the graphic card Nvidia quadro 770M

    I have a problem with my Precision M4400 and Nvidia Quadro 770 M. After I installed Windows 7 64 bit, I have problems with the graphics card. I get a blue screen or graphic errors. I tried several versions of the driver. In the Nvidia forum had this problem even more. Here, they told me that only a BIOS update for the graphics card to solve the problem. Update the BIOS, but I should refer by DELL. So my question is this problem with Dell is also known, and there is already an update of the BIOS to the Quadro 770 M?

    Hi all

    I have the solution by chance. I was looking for the latest drivers GeForce for Windows 7 x 64 and I read the accompanying note: http://fr.download.nvidia.com/Windows/337.88/337.88-win8-win7-notebook-release-notes.pdf
    On page 17, you can read the following note to fix: "[GeForce FX 770 M] [portable]: blocking of the blue screen occurs after Windows starts."

    Of course, GeForce FX 770 M does not exist (and never was), and it should be Quadro FX 770 M. I can bet that nVidia has corrected this famous BSOD problem in the wrong driver because always there is nothing about any "Quadro FX 770 M - fix" in the note accompanying the latest Quadro (340.52) driver.

    You try the GeForce driver above, but to install it, you may need to download an INF file modified with the addition of the ID of Quadro FX 770 M (= "NVIDIA_DEV.065C ="NVIDIA Quadro FX 770 M"). Try without the first modified INF file because the Quadro FX 770 M is listed as a compatible chip in the version of the driver GeForce 337.88 note...

    I'll try that, even though I am completely sastified with the latest driver for Quadro (feasible) (285.62) without disable Powermizer. I did not try the latest Quadro drivers again (to be honest).

    Late me know please.

    Recovery of your computer (Windows) using "Recovery Partition" of the Manufacture or
    contact PC manufacturing (see support links below) and order the recovery media.

    Note: Activation is not required when you use the recovery partition or recovery media, but you will need to reinstall all your applications.

    Also to save your documents on external support (if possible) before starting the recovery process.

    Once completed, your PC will be actually in the State when you first purchased it and turned on for the 1st time.

    To access the recovery Partition, start your computer, and then by pressing the appropriate function key. It can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12, DEL or tab key. Check the list below or your user manual for your brand and model.
