HP 15-g092sa Notebook PC: my HP laptop won't start

I have a problem with one of my laptops, I have two at home both the exact same, model care, are identical apart from purple and black sparkle. My partner uses the one that is experiencing problems, it was on her last loaded no problem, but then, while he was working it seemed that its windows is crushed, so he tried to restart it, and now it does not start, it gets as much to "prepare the automatic repair" and the screen goes blank, but it's still light.

I ran a diagnostic on it and these are the results.

HDD SMART Check: PAST

Short hard drive DST Check: FAILURE
Failure ID: 9LVM7R-7K07LW-XD7WL1-60XR03

Optimized hard drive DST Check: FAILURE
Failure ID: 9LVM7R-7K07LW-XD7W1 - 61 X 903

Drive hard long DST Check: FAILURE
Failure ID: 9LVM7R-7K07LW-XD7WL1-61F103

All the other tests taken apart from those above, I showed than INTELLIGENT control past due it to be outside the trial for the hard drive.

    Hello

This backup after pressing F11 is a HP backup option, not a Microsoft option.

I suggest that you contact HP or ask their Support Forums.

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/

It's the normal advice I'd give to record data; but we have no idea of the State of your hard drive.

    Saving your files:

You can remove the hard drive and put it in a hard drive USB enclosure > plug it into another computer > and try to read and copy your data in this way.

Or, you can download Knoppix > make a bootdisk to > start your system with it (IF your material is all work) > and copy your data from the hard drive like that.

I suspect that your HARD drive has a problem, generally, it's like that, it won't start if the HARD drive was fried on you, try a key recovery to restore as long as day 1. Otherwise, buy a slap of casing 2.5 drive your hard drive inside, save the files after reinstall windows 8 or make the one key recovery.

  • Acer laptop won't start

Hello, I'm new here... In any case my Acer Aspire E 15 won't start. All I get is a small box blue message which said: lack of default boot device or startup failed. Insert the recovery media and press a key. Then select "Boot Manager" to select a new device boot or Boot Recovery Media. " So I press on enter a couple of times just to go back to the same blue message dialog box. I tried to go and wait five seconds to launch a kind of recovery, but it did not work. Then I activated the f12 boot sequence, and this alteration has nothing. My laptop did not come with a CD/DVD player, when my father bought new last Christmas. I uninstalled Microsoft Office Spotify and Amazon the last time that I logged online. The 64-bit Windows 8.1 is built in. Maybe that remove some files. IDK. What should I do? Do I need some sort of media recovery USB device? Your help is appreciated. Thanks, Neil

As you probably know Evesham closed to the public in 2008.

I think that your computer is a portable computer. I can't access a free copy of the manual, but I imagine that you have a copy of the operating system on the hard drive in a recovery partition. Am I wrong?

Before attempting to repair your computer, you will need to back up your data files on removable media. If the computer does not start, you need access to a second computer at home. Do you have a? If Yes is it a desktop or a laptop?

I would also ask if you comfortable using a screwdriver to remove the hard drive of your laptop Evesham, put it on an external support which can be purchased via Amazon and its connection to a USB port on the second computer. These are not difficult tasks, but not everyone wants to take on this task. If not comfortable take your laptop to a local computer repair shop.

As for the repair of your laptop once you have recovered your data files, restore the operating system to factory settings using the copy of Windows XP, which I think is more than likely in a recovery partition. It will be activated by single key, perhaps the F10 or F11 key or you can have an option in the menu that appears when you press the F8 key during the boot process. It also seems that Evesham commonly supplied recovery discs.

If a factory restore does not work I would then test the memory.

Laptop is less than years so presumably under warranty...

    Hello

The two error codes 24 characters for the drive Self Test (DST) would indicate that hard is defective and must be replaced.  This is also consistent with the startup problem.

As your laptop should still be under warranty, contact HP and arrange for the replaced disk - you can check the status of your warranty here.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

  • Help! Laptop won't start up. BSOD "Stop: c000021a {fatal system error}...". »

I have a laptop Dell Inspiron 1750. Since Sept 09.

Starting from Saturday, may 8 my system won't start up

I turn it on it loads the Dell logo, loads the windows logo, and then flashes a blue screen for a split second (the blue screen flashes so quickly that it is difficult to read what he says, so I recorded it and it comes up with "STOP: c000021a {fatal system error} the verification of a knownDLL failed.") system process finished unexpectedly the status of 0xc000012f (0x0007c220 0x00000000) the system has been shut down.) and restarts after the dell logo loading again it goes to a black screen with the options to launch start up repair or start windows normally.

I have Launced the Startup Repair, after loading files and checking for problems it says then Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically. I made the diagnosis and he says there is no problem, I have contatced dell as it is still under warranty but they said this isn't a hardware problem, it is a software problem and infact NOT covered by the warranty and I have to pay £60 to have the support of the software. I don't have a recovery disc and tried to restore the system to an earlier stage. But no luck!

Was hoping someone here, perhaps a solution. Please please please help!

    Thank you very much

Status 0xc000012f is "STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_NOT_MZ" - "the file specified image did not have the correct format, it did have an initial MZ." (anecdote: binary windows start with MZ - the initials of Mark Zbikowski - who was a promoter of the MS-DOS product)

That, with "a knownDLL verification failed."  Basically telling you that you have corrupted files on your system.  Any chance you are able to boot into safe mode or safe mode with command prompt to run SFC/scannow?  Can you somehow shoot out of the system event logs and check the events worthy of attention?  Are you all able to run chkdsk on the drive through the command prompt in the System Recovery Options?

  • Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 on laptop won't let touchpad works.

    I have a Dell Studio 15 with Windows 7.

I chose to disable the touchpad on my laptop computer touchpad options menu when the wireless pointing device is connected.  I do this because I accidetally press.

The touchpad does not work when it is first started, unless I turn the bluetooth mouse ON and then turn OFF again, the laptop computer touchpad won't work.  If I don't have the mouse with me, I can't use my touchpad.  Even if the mouse is turned off, when I boot I get a notification in the status bar that my touchpad has been disabled because a wireless pointing device is connected when in fact it is not connected.

I already know of workarounds for the touchpad, click on turn off, but I don't want to do that, I have no mouse connected.

I already checked dell and Microsoft updates the driver.  I can't find one for the mouse, but I have the latest drivers for touchpad.

Does anyone have a fix or I have this problem?

Nothing in the BIOS cost to help.  I tried to turn off the Bluetooth radio, and of course it did not work at all when Windows starts up.  I found myself keeping just the keyboard power.  I discovered that if I put the wireless hardware switch that is on the side of the laptop it allows the touchpad works so I can uncheck the 'disable the touchpad when the USB pointing device is connected.

It could be that the touchpad software just works well with a bluetooth for the option to disable touchpad mouse.

I'll just leave all the time now anyway.  It's just a pain when I type, and I think I touched the touchpad and the text is in another place.

    Thanks for the help.

  • HP 15-f111dx: laptop won't start or go to the menu of system recovery?

So the other day I was cleaning off my laptop and I slipped the keyboard with a towel and I guess I pressed something I wouldn't because he went to a white screen and green-ish (the color of my windows theme 8) and I had to turn off because he wouldn't do anything.

Now when I turn it on it has the loading of HP and said preparation of automatic recovery screen, but then it's just a black screen after a minute. I can go into the menu of the BIOS (F9) and the parameters of the system (F10), but I can not enter the page of system recovery. When I press the F11 key to make, it said system restore in the corner, but then it goes to the loading screen 'system recovery preparation' just and turns to a black screen.

I ran a test of the system short on the menu diagnostics and it says verification of DST short of hard drive failed. I got the error code was U4TV68-7J3886-MFPV6K - T 60, 603. Any help here? I don't mind reset my computer to default settings, if that's possible, but I can't exactly go and buy a new laptop now.

    Thanks in advance!

Short of DST = disk failure hard drive is not / is a failure and should be replaced. Unfortunately HP does not that easy in their later models. On laptops earlier it was open the service door on the bottom and replace the drive. Now, it requires a dismantling almost full access to the drive, as shown in the Service Guide and interview here:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c04763999

You can buy a hard drive for $50-60, but if you're not handy with disassembly, you'll have to pay someone to replace. Repair of local pc shop, Best Buy, Staples, etc.

BTW I hope you did your recovery media using software on the laptop. You will need to start the laptop and install Windows on a new drive. If this isn't the case, it will be an extra $ 40 for the purchase of HP.

  • sleekbook envy 6: laptop won't start, caps lock flashing 3 times

I want to 6 sleekbook and all of a sudden that it does not start and the caps lock flashes three times I already saw the code flashing and tried to rest the memory but it still doesn't work, I ran in problems with the laptop before the blue screen, but it was fixed its own I think

    Dear customer,

Welcome and thanks for posting your question on the Forum of Support HP

It seems that your laptop has a blank screen and a blinking/flashing CAPSLOCK all the time

If the Capslock LED flashes 3 times this means "Non-functional memory error", in order to solve the problem, replace the card memory

Note: If you are comfortable open Notepad, you can check how much you have memory module. If you have 2 sticks of memory, you can test one at a time on the two slots individually to check if the fault is with the module module slot or memory memory your laptop [repeat the same steps to test another memory module]

If you find the above steps difficult and that it is a hardware problem and I recommend you contact HP Support by phone for further assistance immediately to get your diagnostic Notebook and repaired by an authorized HP Certified Engineer

You can also check your warranty here to check the status of the guarantee

  • Pavilion g6 1320 - is: laptop won't start not

I recently had a problem with my pavilion laptop g6 series 1320 - themselves.

When I hit the power button a black screen will appear saying that the hard drive is not found. However, when I rebooted the system, windows load appeared but it does not connect... A black screen appears and a long time until I unplugged.

PS. A ticking, ticking sound from the hard drive was heard during the black screen with no hard drive found error, and when the windows seem to be from the black screen following the loading of Windows.

Would it be to say that the hard drive is in danger and it is already damaged or maybe it's a cable problem or what?

    Thank you.

    Hi @AhmedHussein28,

    Thank you for your response.

I wasn't ignoring your information on the hard drive.  In the link I sent there is another link on the testing of hardware failures include the hard drive.

Here is the link. HP Notebook PC - hardware failures (Windows 8) screening.  Although it lists Windows 8 steps will be the same in Windows 10.

If you can still access Windows I suggest you protect your data to avoid loss.  There is a video in the above document on the test of the hard disk to help you.

    Good luck!

    Hello

What model of laptop do you have exactly?
Have you tried to recover the laptop using recovery media or HARD drive recovery option?

In my opinion, the recovery of the system should be as next as repair the automatic system does not work.
