  Everything looks very good and works.

  I don't know what model your laptop wireless (network controller) card use, so please do the following and I will post the link to the wireless card driver you need:

  Since there is no driver installed wireless, we need a labeled device network controller in Device Manager in the category other devices.  The network controller device will be a little! mark next to him.

  Instead of asking your question at the end of a matter of almost 3 years in the Windows XP forum, you should ask in forum Windows 8.

  This seems to be an abandoned mother Intel. I suspect that you may have been misled by the Windows 8 upgrade and that your hardware does not support, in fact, Windows 8.

  What is a computer "brand"? If Yes, go to the Web site of the manufacturer of your computer, and not from the Intel site.

  What is a computer "tailor-made"? If so, check out the following:

  I wish to inform you that the drivers are built by the manufacturer. Therefore, if the manufacturer does not have to build compatible with the upgraded version of Windows drivers and the compatibility check indicates that the drivers are not compatible so that you might face difficulties with the drivers on the new operating system.

  However, you try to install the drivers in Compatibility Mode after upgrading you computer Windows 7-Windows 10. Please refer to the below mentioned steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode:

  First download the driver from your computer manufacturer's website and install it then.

  I installed a new hard drive on my dell XPS 8300. It has an integrated ethernet card. I have the restore cd and installed windows, the drivers in the order as said. Still no ethernet drivers. Where in all can this information I find? There is a list as a mini card driver, but it does not have ethernet.

  Everything installed OK except there is not internet because there is no ethernet driver to run it. There is no evidence available in my network connections.

  Any help is appreciated.

  My computer has been acting up and full of clutter. Has taken almost 2 minutes to start. I knew not what half the Junk was so I just backed up on a USB stick and re-installed Windows 7 home 64 Professional with the disk I got with the computer. Could not access the afterwords of the internet. Controller Ethernet Driver and network drivers weren't there!  I downloaded from HP website on the USB and try to re - install new professional home. (I had to install Win 8 because it is the only other disc that came with the PC. He made do me on the internet well.) After that I run once again the installation disc, I'll be able to add the USB drivers?

  Once you open the link, scroll down to Network Driver, click on the + to enlarge and download all the drivers there. Save on a USB and you can install them later.

  I have a HP Pavilion g6t - 1 d 00 Mobile (product #-A1J17AV;) Series # 5CG217015R) with Windows 7. The operating system has crashed so I reinstalled a fresh copy of Windows 7 (64-bit) on my computer.

  The HP support site is not all the drivers for the Ethernet wired network adater. The Device Manager has the Ethernet controller, PCI Device, network controller and peripheral other SM Bus controller listed under, and he says there is no driver installed for these devices.

  In addition, all the other drivers on the HP support site are for Windows 8, nothing for windows 7. I tried to install the wireless broadcom and intel drivers (I don't know which one I have), but they no longer work.

  Could you please tell me where I can get the correct drivers?

  SM Bus controller: Install first this driver and restart the PC.

  This package contains the driver and Intel Chipset Installation Utility for the notebook models and operating systems. This utility allows the operating system to show the correct name for the Intel hardware that is installed in the Microsoft Windows Device Manager.

  Ethernet controller:

  This package contains the Realtek driver local area network (LAN) that allows the NIC (NIC) Realtek chip in the notebook models that are running an operating system supported.

  PCI device:

  Since your computer laptop is a CTO model, there may be several different model wireless cards which might have been installed on your PC.

  Please view the ID of the hardware for the network controller (which is the wireless card needing a driver).

  I just finished without portable decommissioning of my aunt of windows 8 for windows 7 Pro 64-bit (she's been difficult really to work with windows 8), but it seems that some of the pilots did not through the instillation. • Re-installing windows XP (No ethernet drivers)

  So I've been through many other positions and even tried a few downloads and none of them worked. I guess it's because my PC is a different version. I have a HP Compaq dc5100mt. I had to re-install XP Pro SP2 and after reinstall I have save product key, so I plugged in an ethernet cable and the light comes on but I went in networking and has no internet connection.   You must download and install * all * the drivers of your computer. They can be found here:

  Choose Windows XP Home or Pro and download all the drivers. Burn it to a CD/DVD, or copy them to a USB key.  Transfer to computer XP (HP Compaq dc5100mt) and install. When you're ready, reboot/restart.

  Finally, network should work fine and you may need to configure your network settings based on your ISP or your network administrator.

  Several notes - Windows XP is very old operating system which is is more officially supported which means no official support, not more of updates and fixes for XP. We recommend that you buy a new computer and upgrade to the new OS.

  If you choose to stay with Windows XP, make sure that you:

  -upgrade to Service Pack 3 (XP SP2 is since 2004, SP3 is since 2008)
