  • Display driver igfx has stopped responding, but has recovered, blue screen with a Bcc Code of 117.

    Original title: igfx display driver

I keep getting a message "the igfx display driver has stopped responding but has recovered.  A few times, it goes to a blue screen.  I'm not playing games when that happens.  My history of problem says it is a LiveKernelEvent with a Bcc Code of 117.  It began in May 2010 and continues.  I checked my driver and it is updated, or so it is said.  There must be some type of conflict.  All solutions?

This might work, keep in mind this is a templete response

Problem: something which called TDR auditor monitors for computer hardware, particularly the GPU, is tell the GPU constantly meet with computer for 2 seconds checker TDR restarts the driver. The TDR auditor has been good on paper but does not work in the real world. as a gpu may stop responding when he works hard.

Issue since the time of vista, this is why this problem virually never happened on XP

    Here is the solution
    Exit all Windows-based programs.
Click Start, type regedit in the search box, and then double-click regedit.exe from the above results. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002 (sometimes called ControlSet001) \Control\GraphicsDrivers

On the Edit menu, click New, and then select the following registry value in the menu drop-down specific to your version of Windows (32-bit or 64-bit):

    For 32-bit Windows
    Select DWORD (32-bit) value.
Type TdrDelay as the name, and then press ENTER.
Double-click on TdrDelay and add 8 to the value data and click OK.

    For 64-bit Windows

    Select QWORD (64-bit) value.
Type TdrDelay as the name, and then press ENTER.
Double-click on TdrDelay and add 8 to the value data and click OK.

Close the registry editor, and then restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

This puts a delay on the auditor of tdr of 8 seconds, so the gpu may stop responding for 10 seconds, this usually fixes the problem, if you are still suffering from this problem (after a reinstall of the drivers or updates, you know this annoying driver stuff)
To do this, do the same thing but instead of the 'TdrDelay' 'TdrLevel' type, enter the value data as 0 (it is on natively, but check) and then delete the TdrDelay.

    Restart

Which turns off completely Tdr checker, so windows now 7/vista/8 now works more like windows XP

I understand.  The files are newspapers of accidents and have nothing to do with your operation systems.  You can do what suggests the wiki for when access is denied without too much worry about a problem

    Try this

If you get "access denied" try this method
First, create a folder on the desktop and call Minidump
Open the C:\Windows\Minidump folder and do the following:
Home > select all > Home > copy to > choose location > Minidumps > copy

Then right click on the Minidump file > Send to > compressed (zipped) folder.

Then download the compressed (zipped) folder newly created on Onedrive and provide a link here.

  • Blue screen issue started after the warranty more

Hi I bought a HP laptop and exactly after the warranty period, there is a problem.

And provided HP customer support a lot of drivers to install but not working.

Seems that if we extended the guarantee we will get the right driver to install.

My previous laptop was HP, so I got another. and now, I shall not repeat this error.

    Any soln for blue screen.

    Kind regards...

    Depends on the blue screen.

You are able to write code for the blue screen error?

BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) tend to be caused by software problems, so there may be an easy solution to the problem. However, they can also be caused by serious hardware problems that may be more difficult to correct. In all cases, we will need the code error to determine what went wrong.

  • OfficeJet 6500 has more Blue Screen of Death

Sometimes my laptop (Vaio VPCZ2, Win 7-64) Gets a Blue Screen Of Death when my 6500 officejet is printing. This occurs when the printer is connected via usb and also wireless. I have run all the programs of diagnosis of HP and re-installed the driver and software. I guess the problem is the printer driver. What can I do to fix this?

Initially, I connected the printer to the USB 2.0 docking station. Same result; dbo. Now I connected the printer directly to the USB 2.0 laptop and the problem seems to be resolved. Thank you.

Mack, assuming that your BSOD is caused by bad drivers, once you get it all straightened out, consider the following tips:

When downloading and installing Windows updates, do NOT install the "material, optional updates". In fact, as a general rule, you generally only install critical SECURITY updates "high priority".

In other words, when you get to the screen (assuming you are using the website):

    http://www.NetbookTech.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/windowsupdatehardwaredrivers.jpg

... on the left side where it says "Select Type", just stick with the first choice 'High priority' as a general rule. The exception to the rule is sometimes there is "Software, optional" updates important you need to download and install. If you are not sure, ask your question here:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_update

But defnitely away the third choice of "optional equipment"!

  • Blue screen issue caused by: Ntfs.sys (Ntfs + 213 8)

    Hello!

Only, I lived my first BSOD on a brand new (one day) PC that I assembled. The PC Assembly consists of:

    M/B: Gigabyte 880GA-UD3H
Processor: AMD Athlon II X 2 250 (with integrated ATI Radeon HD 4250)
HARD drive: Seagate ST3750528AS (750 GB) SATA drive
OS: Genuine Windows 7 pro 64-bit EN DSP

Please note that I have not installed an Antivirus program again. The installation procedure went well, the only thing that I noticed that after pressing a little hard on the motherboard saying turbo part 3D started moving a little liiiitle instead of being completely still. (I don't know if this has to do with anything here, I don't even know what this turbo 3D part, if someone could explain to me...)

I open the DMP file that says that the BSOD probably caused by: Ntfs.sys (Ntfs + 213 8).

Could you please tell about the cause of the problem and the solution?

I desperately need your help since it is on a PC that I need for work.

Thank you very much in advance for any help!

    Philippe

I open the DMP file that says that the BSOD probably caused by: Ntfs.sys (Ntfs + 213 8).

    Do you get this crash?

    Bug Check 0 x 24: NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM

NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM bug control has a value of 0 x 00000024. This indicates there was a problem inntfs.sys , the driver file that allows the system to read and write on NTFS drives.

    http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff557433%28VS.85%29.aspx

If so, run Chkdsk /f /r to detect and resolve any file system structural corruption.
