HP 3050 cannot get IP address

Hello

I bought a HP 3050 all-in-one yesterday and I'm trying to connect wirelessly to my router Belkin F5D8633-4.  I have no security implemented on the router.  Connection seems to go fine until the printer tries to get an IP address from the router how it fails.  Setting up a static IP address (tried several other different outside the DHCP range) is not successful.

I tried both a HP p6203uk PC and a HP dv7-2110sa both running Windows 7, and both connect ok via USB.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Ally

I discovered that the HP software dislike the fact that the SSID has a space inside.  Changed the "Belkin router" SSID "Belkin" and it worked the first time!

  • customers on flexconnect AP cannot get dhcp address after upgrade wlc

    Hi community support.

I have a WLC 2504, with 30 APs 1130 flexconnect mode. The WLC runs the code version 7.0.240.0. In order to register new models of ap, we need upgrade to a recent code.

In the last attempt to upgrade to version 7.4.121.0, the AP has joined the WLC, mappings of vlan in flexconnect have been checked and were very good. However, customers were unable to get an address DHCP (169.254.x.x). The DHCP server is local to each location, is usually a 3750 x that serves as a master switch.

connection via cable, clients received address dhcp. so the dhcp server isn't the problem. Updated for the 7.6.100.0 code, but got the same behavior.

Finally, we decided to downgrade the wlc code 7.0.240.0 once again, and everything started working again, but I need upgrade we buy access to new models of points.

Someone else had a similar problem?

    Thank you

    Hello

What is the vlan native you are using? If it's the number of vlan 2, then it is known bug CSCui73764

    Symptom:

Flex series APs 1130 & 1240 mode, won't see traffic, for example, DHCP, ARP. on some wireless LANs.

    Conditions:
    (1) flex connect local switching
    (2) AP 1240 or 1130
    (3) any version before 7.4.121.7
    (4) native vlan x, not work y vlan.
    (5) failed to get the ip address of the user.

    Workaround solution:
change the vlan native to a surprisingly high number, so no wlan will never be are mapped to a very high bridge group number.

    Other Description of the problem:
Telnet on the flex AP. here is an example. VLAN 3 is the vlan native Flex ap, it is correctly mapped to group 1. now WiFi is not working is the one that is mapped to vlan2. below, carefully, the vlan 2 is mapped to fill the 3 group. It is the forum where we hit the bug. Therefore, it can be any combination of wlan-vlan-native vlan.

  • HP Laserhet 400 M425dn MFP - cannot get IP address

I just bought this printer and followed all the instructions as a whole, however, fight to get the printer works wirelessly. I need to record IP address but when I print the Network Summary page he informed me that the IP address is not configured or not specified. I'm trying to get this set with a MAC and connecting the printer using a USB and a phone port but the printer always tells me that I am not connected to the network? Help!

    @NellFoster

Thanks for posting your question on the forums of hp.com. Based on what you told me, printer connected to the Mac via USB, the printer will not have an IP address.

To receive an IP address, you need to sign, either wireless or lan. Based on the model number you have, m425dn, you can connect the printer via a LAN cable to the Mac or a router and be able to receive an IP address to the printer.

If you choose to connect wireless, then disconnect the USB cable and turn on wireless via the icon on the control panel wireless and follow the wireless Assistant. Make sure you know your router SSID and password you will need to enter it in the printer Panel.

    I hope this helps.

  • IBM HS22, 1 NIC cannot get IP address. 2nd ok NIC.

    Hi all

    I encounter strange thing.

ESXi 4.1 on IBM HS22 blade on chassis-H.

If I install Windows prompt, the NETWORK card can not get IP from our DHCP. Even though I installed Vmware tools on the guest.

I discovered that the workaround is:

    -Add a 2nd NIC

-Start the guest, 2nd NIC gets IP

    -Stop comments

    -Remove 1 St NiC

Has anyone seen this also? What cause it?

    Thank you.

I would say it's a standard conf but seems you have from the problem through one of the swtich. I would like to try this, remove (if you can) the Module connectivity server IBM Ethernet thant check wich nic on the esx host are always connected.

Reconfigure the nic VM if needed and try again.

Second thing, I'm sure you did or you would not connectivitry at all... but make sure that you enable the external ports of the MAO.

If you set a static ip address on the virtual machine doesn't work? I wonder if you don't 'have some kind of filter... on the switch.

  • NSX security group cannot get the address IP of VM

    Hi all

I have a strange situation in my lab environment I create a security group consist of 2 virtual machines, but when I checked the addrsets, a single IP is in the list, here is the screenshot:

    addrsets.png

It is supposed to be reported 2 IP: 192.168.0.34 and 192.168.0.38, but NSX only see a single IP address. Then I try to add another virtual machine with the IP 192.168.0.33, NSX can see two IP addresses:

    addrsets2.png

Seems the VM with IP 192.168.0.34 has a problem, but I don't know why the question isn't that arrived at this virtual machine, an idea how to solve it?

  • Cannot get 3050 again router connected a wireless

My router DSL of ATT went out on me a few weeks ago, and they sent a replacement.  I got a dozen devices connected to the new but cannot get the 3050 a j611g connected.  I tried everything I could find...

1 uninstalled all HP software and going through Setup again.

2 reset the default printer network settings and repeat step 1.

This includes, of course, passing by the "printer setup and software ' program on my computer."  Nothing works.  I found these instructions on the site of HP...

To reconfigure your settings on a printer wireless have no control panel wireless Assistant:

    1. Insert the CD into your computer.
    2. Select reconfigure network settingson the Welcome Back screen.

The problem is that I don't get to "Reconfigure network settings" as an option when I put the installation disc in my computer.  No 'Welcome Back' of the screen or the other.  Any help would be appreciated.

Appreciate the help of everyone.  But it must have been a material situation. After tons of calls and a few broken promises, I finally got a case manager who took care of me and sent me another printer.  Saved my faith in HP.

  • Client cannot get the external IP of DHCP address through WiM

    WISN 5.2.178.0

WISN is in place, 1231 & 1131 joined APs, radio stations upwards, the customer associated but not an IP address.

Virtual interface with vlan # & IP on the destination VLAN.

WLAN with same vlan # as above.

I tried Open, PSK, WPA. Client cannot obtain an IP address.

    What did I miss?

You have the virtual address set to 1.1.1.1?

Also, you have set up the address of the DHCP server on your interfaces VLAN? This is important because the controller basically uses an ip helper address to properly forward DHCP requests.

If you have these configured, try to use the internal DHCP server to test. The web GUI, access controller-> the DHCP server in-house. Configure a DHCP scope and activate it (don't worry, it is only used for wireless clients. It does not meet the DHCP requests on your network).

Now, go back to the controller-> Interfaces and configure the DHCP server to the management interface of the controller. See if your customers are able to get the addresses of the internal scope.

You can control and manage permissions for the domain in the tab currently selected through these steps:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste newtab and make a pause so that the list is filtered

  • Cannot get ePrint or other features on CM1415fnw to work

Cannot get ePrint or other features on CM1415fnw to work. I can see the printer on the network, proceed to its IP via the wireless, added to ePrint, but apps and some other features do not work. As he never printed the ePrint instructions after that I clicked on the touch screen repeatedly. He just flashed to another screen then returned to the home screen, like nothing happened. I tried print article USA today money through the Apps but it is there for 2-3mins then finally said that he can't reach the web. However, I have on the web right now writing this review from my laptop which is connected to the same wireless router. I sent an email with a few lines of text to the ePrint address, that I was able to locate on the menu diagnastoics by going to the printers IP address. The e-mail never printed but ePrint site shows as pending and that the printer is online. This whole experience has been a joke. I am a network engineer and I know that's not my network. I don't use a proxy and my wireless router and ISP are large open. No firewall or any other nonsense it hangs. It's just bad software/hardware to HP. I also confirmed that the printer has the latest version of the firmware which is 20101125.

The idea of having this printer works with all features, it comes with would be great. Any thoughts?

I think I solved the problem. You can't have a USB connection and a network connection to the printer at the same time. I had a USB connection to the laptop and a Wi - Fi connection to printer. I unplugged the USB and then unplugged the printer. I leave a little clear all memory volatile and plugged in. After letting it go online and get it is the IP address of the wireless router, I was able to print to it by sending my email through the connection wireless address ePrint. I am also now able to print from Apps.

Conclusion, HP needs to fix their firmware in the next version or work with both USB and wireless/wired network connection or provide some sort of pop-up warning that connections are not supported at the same time.

  • Cannot acquire IP address, or to renew or repair... How to fix this?

I'm trying to help my friend to get his work computer. For some reason, it cannot acquire an address of network on a wired or Wi - Fi. The strangest thing about all this is that I am able to connect to my wireless network but it says that I have little or no connectivity. Just for the heck of it, I was able to connect to my router (IP: 192.168.0.1) and has been invited for a connection.

My IP address when connected to wifi is 0.0.0.0 and my subnet mask is 0.0.0.0... everything else has no value.

One strange thing I noticed right away, is that when I run 'ipconfig' the 'the connection-specific DNS suffix"has been set to"aDomainName.net"which has the same area as his previous ISP name. I removed that there is NO suffix more. That has not changed a thing. So here's what I've tried:

    • The TCP/IP value to set a static IP address and even separate servers DNS (OpenDNS).
    • Repair the connection.
    • Remove winsock and winsock2 registry, and then restart. Hoping that windows would create new and solve the problem.
    • Any registry winsock and winsock2 starting from the backups that I did.
    • Tried flushing DNS with: "ipconfig/flushdns" and running "ipconfig / renew" I got the following error message:

"No operation can be performed on the connection to the LAN, so it has its media disconnected

An error occurred while renewing interface wireless network connection: the RPC server is unavailable. »

    • Before and after removing the winsock from registry, I also tried running: "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" and received the following error:

"The procedure entry point MigraeWinsockConfiguration cannot be locatred in MSWSOCK.dll dynamic link library."

    Can someone help me?

A few comments (which can not solve your problem, but it's late)

    1. the "Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface" part of IPv6 (the new version of the TCP/IP Protocol).  It is almost never necessary in personal computers, especially the XP computers.  (BTW, what version of XP is installed, including service pack?)

    • Open network connections (start > run > ncpa.cpl > OK)
    • Right-click on the icon for your network adapter (you should do this on the connection to the LAN (wired) and the wireless adapter) and select Properties.
    • On the general tab, look in the list of "this connection uses the following items.
    • Most Windows XP-based computers must have a maximum of 4 following
      • Client for Microsoft networks
      • QoS Packet Scheduler
      • File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft networks
      • Internet (TCP/IP) Protocol
    • If you see an item for IPv6, select it and click the uninstall
    • OK your way out

    2. I'm a little skeptical about this KB article.  The registry key to designate "CurrentControlSet" instead of "ControlSet001", I would have expected

Any, however.  Use the Services applet to confirm the appropriate dependency:

    • Click Start > run > services.msc > OK
    • DHCP client scroll down and double-click
    • Click the Dependencies tab and wait that it is filled.  It should show
      • SFM network support environment
      • NetBT
      • TCP/IP protocol driver

If you expand (by clicking on the +), TCP/IP protocol driver will be also under NetBT and IPSEC driver will be under (two places) TCP/IP protocol driver

Assuming that everything is there (and it probably is), the next thing to check is if all these "Addictions" are running.

    • Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK)
    • Type of entry following, pressing after each line

      SC query afd
      SC query netbt
      SC query tcpip
      SC query ipsec

  • I ran all virus time and time again and that you cannot get rid of this e-mail worm that continues to advance.

I ran all virus time and time again and cannot get rid of this e-mail worm that continues to move forward, what I can do now, stop using hotmail?

    Hello

Why do you think you have an e-mail worm? If you can't name it?

If someone is Spoofing emails that appear to come from you then they probably never
had access to your e-mail account. Instead, they have either a copy of your contacts
list or just an email from you or one of you where you were one of the recipients. Those
could be gleaned either your computer, the computer of a friend, or hacking
any site or intercept an email on your behalf or to you (you may not be the main)
    (beneficiary).

Once they have this information there is nothing you can do to avoid that they don't
send usurped messages. Warn your friends that is happening and they
can be entitled to install rules such as parodies are treated as SPAM or JUNK
    mail.

I've even seen usurped by email that appears to be from a valid user name however
This name doesn't have an e-mail account on the mail system used in parody.
As SpiritX - AT - realmail.com may be a valid account, however, parody used
SpiritX - AT - wrongmail.com. The latter could still be considered an email address valid
SpiritX if it was allowed through JUNK and JUNK e-mail filtering. (The - AT - has been used
instead of so that those addresses would not be filtered by auto responses.
    as if by magic.)

    ============================================================

Proceed to a very thorough check for malware and then change your password by e-mail.

The reason why you want to do this is to make sure no more hacking your computer is
still in effect (if it has been hacked). You have changed the password once but I would
Change it again after these checks.

It is possible for a person to send the email that 'seems' to be of your
account but that is not really - called "Spoofing." That means its 'Possible' emails
were not really you, although they may have your contact list. Have someone
who receives the e-mails to check the header to see where he is actually sent by and
NOT only the answer to the address.

  • I can connect to my wireless router, but cannot get internet connectivity via Wireless. If I connect the cable to the port on the router, I get internet connectivity.

    Wireless router / Internet problems

I am running Windows Vista Home Edition with Security Essentials.  I can connect to my wireless router, but cannot get internet connectivity via Wireless.  If I connect the cable to the port on the router, I get internet connectivity.  Is there a firewall setting that could cause this problem?

    Hello

Your router could be suspicious here, you have successfully updated its firmware as a possible solution? And I would like to
Update your WiFi drivers on computers. How you are positioned in the router? Are there
    obstacles in the path?

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

How to install a device driver in Vista Device Manager
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-Device-Manager-install-driver.html

Download - SAVE - go where you put it - right click – RUN AS ADMIN.

You can download several at once however restart after the installation of each of them.

After watching the system manufacturer, you can check the manufacturer of the device an even newer version. (The
manufacturer of system become your backup policies).

Repeat for network (NIC) card and is a good time to get the other updated drivers as Vista like
    updated drivers.

I would also turn off auto update for the drivers. If the updates Windows suggests a just HIDE as they
are almost always old, and you can search drivers manually as needed.

    ------------------------------------------------------

Make sure you know the details of connection to your wireless router - SSID and password.

You lose connection when you do and have to redo your logon.

Control Panel - Network & Sharing Center - right, click Customize - page set of network locations.
lower left click on merge or delete network locations - REMOVE all instances of your network (and the
others you don't use anymore) - REBOOT. Start - Connect To log on to the network.
