HP 3510 - IP not reachable

My wireless HP 3150 printer is inaccessible with my wireless network. My router is a Linksys E3000.

Here's what I did:

* install the program HP and did all the steps
* Use the USB cable to configure my network SSID & password
* When I remove the USB cable and try to connect to wireless network:
* my printer has an IP address given by the router (via DHCP): 192.168.1.115
* I see this IP on the DHCP of the router table

* I can ping the IP address of the router, but not from any other machine on the network

Any ideas?

Let's set a static IP address on the printer.  Set it to 192.168.1.10 which is outside the range of the DHCP by default for Linksys routers.  Use a fixed channel as the 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto '.    Try to reinstall the software and try again.

  • How to fix "this site is not reachable" on Mac?

I have a Wordpress site that is mapped to a domain (through Network Solutions) and it does not load on my computer. It loads on other computers on my network, but not my Mac, Capitan 10.11.5.

Help, please! This is the message:

    This site is not reachable

    shootthecritic.com refuses to connect.

    Thank you!

You, or someone else using your computer, may have hacked the system to redirect requests on some servers. The modified file is/etc/hosts.

The best way to solve the hosts file is to restore from a backup prior to the change, or copy the file unmodified from another Mac. There is sometimes a copy unmodified with the name "hosts ~ orig" next to file hosts changed on the same Mac; If so, you can copy the contents of this file in the hosts file. Ask for advice if you need it.

If you can not do everything above, please see below.

Back up all data before proceeding.

If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator.

Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select this option:

    open -e /etc/hosts

Copy the selected text in the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination.

Launch the Terminal application integrated in one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

Paste in the Terminal window by pressing Command + V. I tried these instructions only with the Safari browser. If you use another browser, you may need to press the return key after pasting.

Should open a TextEdit window. At the top of the window, you should see this:

    ### Host Database## localhost is used to configure the loopback interface# when the system is booting.  Do not change this entry.##127.0.0.1                              localhost255.255.255.255          broadcasthost::1                                        localhost

Below, you can see a few other lines. The first 9 lines should be exactly as before, except for differences in the empty space in the lines. Otherwise, you cannot use this procedure - STOP and ask for advice.

If the content of the TextEdit window is described and there are extra lines in the file, close the window, and then enter the following command in the Terminal window in the same way as before (by copy and paste):

    sudo sed -i~ '10,$d' /etc/hosts

This time you will be prompted for your login password, which are not displayed when you type. Type carefully, and then press return. If you do not have a password, you will need to configure one before you can run the command. You can get a warning to be careful. Confirm. Leaving the Terminal.

If you see a message that your user name "is not in the sudoers file", then you have not logged as an administrator. Log in as one and start over.

Who will set the hosts file. There is now a copy of the old file hosts with the name ' guests ~ "in the same folder as"hosts ". You can remove the copy if you wish. Do not delete the file named "hosts".

The first step is to get rid of your software "anti-virus" without value, which can be the cause of the problem. Remove it as instructed by the developer after you back up all data. Never install something like this even once.

  • DeskJet 3510 does not print

    Hello

I have a HP deskjet printer 3510 and I use a HP with Windows 7 desktop computer. My printer cannot print from the computer, and he repeats to me than "ink cartrides are missing" tri color and black. I replaced the cartridges and and clean. When iIcheck the ink levels via the printer it self he is saying they are full, and the pritner will make copies of photo, used still print from the computer.

    Hi @jackiew2x2,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that your HP Deskjet 3510 will not print and the computer says that the ink cartridges are missing. I'm happy to help you with this printing problem!

Please have a look through this general printing guide, your HP printer print jobs are stuck in the print queue.

Also, I'd take a glance through this guide, a "cartridge problem," "Ink cartridge failed", not "compatible ink cartridges", or "Cartridge missing or damaged" Error Message is displayed on the control panel.

Hope one of these guides to help and have a great day!

  • Windows 7 system error 1231 network location is not reachable

I have a Win7 Ultimate domain member with a static IP address. Recently I discovered that I can't seem to use NetBIOS over TCPIP or similar to remote machines.  If I try to map a drive to a UNC I get an error 1231 about a network location that is not reachable.  Same result if used the remote IP instead of the netbios name.  I ping the remote server without error.  If I try something like a clear view on a remote server, it fails, but it works locally.  I created a share on Win7 box and I see another customer. I can not just make network connections.

NetBT is running.  NetBios over TCP/IP is enabled.

I disabled the NETWORK card and re-enabled.  I disabled TCPIP, re-activated and even re-installed IPv4.

Nbtstat-n displays the name of the office.

There is no LMHosts file used.

Firewall is completely turned off and no antivirus is running or even installed also.

I am short of ideas short of re - install the operating system.

Summary: I can't map or view resources netbios on the network, but I can create shares on Win7 and communicate with them remotely.

I need a new set of eyes. Suggestions?

  • HP deskjet 3510 does not work after windows 8.1

My printer HP Deskjet 3510 cannot be detected after windows 8.1.  My computer is a HP Pavilion g6. Now, I would never, I clicked to install, I wish they would send me just windows 7. Laughing out loud

    @klb75,.

    Thanks for posting.

The cardinal rule of when something does not work after update to 8.1 is put it back in place. This applies to the printing software and all other software. Uninstall from the control panel configuration, programs and features. Then, restart the computer.

After that, download and install this software: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=al-108718-3&cc=ca&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4158&product=5157483&sw_lang=

    * Thus, before installing the software, disable all Firewall/antivirus software. This software can create conflicts with the printer software.

If reinstalling it does not help, run print and scan doctor. He could fix it... http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?CC=CA&LC=en&JumpID=ex_r4155/HHO/IPG/ccdoc/printer_diag/&softwareitem=MP-135113-1

  • DeskJet 3510 will not scan wireless on OS 10.9

I have a 3510 Deskjet which worked fine wirelessly on my old Mac with Snow Leopard. I recently bought a new IMac with OS Mavericks 10.9.5. The printer will print wireless but not scan wireless. It will scan only with the attached USB cable. I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of the HP software. When I disconnect the USB it is said that the wireless connection cannot be found. I have reset the wireless connection, and it's good. What I'm missing here?

    Hey @hellis,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I would like to help you today with the resolution of the scanning wireless problem you encounter on your Mac OS X 10.9.5 operating system with your HP Deskjet 3510 e-all-in-one printer. I understand that you have already uninstalled and reinstalled and tested via USB cable without success. Right now I'm going to guide you through some additional troubleshooting for this problem to scan wireless.

Step 1: Uninstall the drivers and software:

First of all, I will have you reset the printing system on your Mac computer. This will remove any printer of your printed folder and Scan, but does not uninstall printers. You must use other printers once the reset complete simply click on the (+) sign more to add than these other printers back into your Mac. Make sure they are connected via a connection by USB cable or network. Do not add your Deskjet still back in.

Please click here to know how to reset the printing system. Just follow the steps to "reset the printing in OS X Lion system"

Once the reset is complete, please select: uninstalling the printer software and race through the steps in Mac OS X v10.6, OS X v10.7, OS X v10.8 and OS X v10.9 for the method that you used to install your printer.

Once the printer is uninstalled, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Check and repair your Mac disk permissions:

    1. Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
    2. Go to the Utilities folder
    3. Open disk utility
    4. Select the hard disk volume, you use (usually on the left)
    5. Select verify disk permissions
    6. Once this process is complete, select repair disk permissions

Step 3: Check the Apple updates:

    1. Go to the Apple
    2. Select System Preferences
    3. Select software update
    4. Click update now
    5. Install your available updates
    6. Computer restart

Step 4: Reinstall your software and drivers:

    1. Please click here to download the latest drivers for your printer.
    2. Click on the download button
    3. Follow the steps on the screen to reinstall your printer.

Once the reinstallation is completed, please make sure that your printer is added to your Mac with the appropriate driver. Avoid the Airprint driver because it allows that capacity print based and not scanning.

    1. click on the menu Apple and then click on System Preferences.

    2. click on Print & Scanand then check if the name of your printer appears in the list of Printers .

    3. If your printer is listed, remove and re-add the printer to check the communication with the Mac. Click on the name of your printer, click the sign minus (), then remove the printer. Once the printer is deleted, click the plus sign (), click Add a printer or a Scanner, click the name of your printer with Hello , like the kind.

    4. click on the area of use or with the help of Print and then select the name of your printer on the shortcut menu.

    5. click Add to add the printer to the list.

Source: Install your HP printer driver and software for Mac OS X

Once the printer is reinstalled successfully by using the correct driver, please test the printing and scanning functionality.

Please let me know if the steps I have provided resolve your scan wireless problems. Good luck!

  • DeskJET 3510 is not airprint moved

I have a 3510 which I originally put in place in my condo and it worked fine there.  When I got home I set up on my home router, the same as condo SSIDand security key, with a static IP in my router.  I can't eprint for her and she can access the internet.  I can see and print on it from my PC (see separate thread on the problem with wireless - wireless) connected to my router via an Ethernet cable port.

I have the wireless and wirelessDirect 'On' on the printer.  I also eprint 'on '.

On my iPhone and iPad from my wife, when I try to airprint it says that it cannot find an airprint printer.

In the condo, it automatically finds and print very well.

We can eprint for her to email on every Apple product, and if we move to settings on every apple product, we also see the SSID of the 3510.  If we have our iPad or iPhone to remove the connection to our local home network and connect instead to the 3510 Web server (I think it's like 192.168.213.something - not an address in my area of home network) then we can print her Apple Airprint of each device.  But, of course, we need for the iPhone or iPad back to my LAN House afterwards to get internet connectivity again.  My wife does not understand how to do it constantly and it is nuisance for me also.

What I am doing wrong?  What is a router issue?  My router sees the printer and I have a fixed DHCP table entry for it (static IP address in my area).  I've not looked at or changed any of my other applications or permissions settings on the router.  It does not block all I know.

    Thank you

    Norm Farrington

    For reference:

This problem is solved.  By reading a lot of posts on the Linksys router WRT160N (v3), I discovered that the router did not send Hello packets correctly.  After 3 changes of setting, it works now.  It was a router problem.  The three settiings I changed were as follows:

Under wireless, advanced wireless settings, I check Disable AP Isolation.

Under Security, I disabled SPI Firewall Protection.

Under Security (also), I checked the filter Miulticast box.

I restarted the router, then turned on the printer, then powered to the top of the iPhone and iPad, and bith access AirPrint now.

I'm writing this in case someone else has similar problems, when everything seems OK, suspect an older router!

  • XP SP3 - network location is not reachable - occurs only on LAN - Okay on WLAN

    Hello

I am running Windows XP SP3 on a Dell Latitude E5500 with a Broadcom Netxtreme 57xx NIC Ethernet. My problem is that I can connect to any and all work and home sharing without any problem more wireless network but cannot do on my connection to the local network.
    I can assure you that
    (a) I ping well resources through the LAN IP addresses and
    (b) can connect to the Internet through the LAN.
I have also updated my driver Broadcom for later, in vain.
I also tried several other suggestions such as
    (a) verifying that the computer browser service is running
    (b) verification of correct TransportBindName and SMBDeviceEnabled entries in the registry
    (c) manually the battery to reset TCP/IP
    (d) to uninstall and reinstall the Client for Microsoft networks
    (e) NetBT enabled on the NETWORK adapter
among other things, all to nothing does not.
I am also aware that this problem applies to my wired LAN connection and not my wireless LAN, seeming so for me at least to make some of the suggestions above irrelevant or redundant.
I was wondering if anyone else had other suggestions (in addition to the upgrade to Windows 7, I know, I know, must find the time).
    THX in advance
    Orson.

    Hi, thanks for the advice.

During the last hour, I solved the problem of UN-installing my Broadcom NIC in device and then allowing Windows to re - Manager install automatically on reboot. Although I'm positive that I've done this before (all the symptoms point to a problem with the drivers for cards/rather than any how important Microsoft / edition) on this occasion, it worked, if everything goes well on a permanent base.

I have download the stub successfully, but when I try to run it, he tries to contact a USA based microsoft Server and fails.

As a result, I can't add any other service packs until 1a is applied.

The server is down or is there a problem with the heel?

If your installation to service pack 1, you don't need service pack 1a.  The difference between sp1 and sp1a was the removal of the last of the "Microsoft Java Virtual Machine", Microsoft had to do as part of a legal settlement with Sun.  It makes no difference what the installation of sp2/sp3.

Turn on the Windows Firewall and make sure you have an active up-to-date anti-virus application.

If you have XP sp1, you can go directly to sp3 (you need not sp1a or sp2).  However, see the tips of long date MS MVP PA Bear (which assumes that your "XP systems disk" does NOT test any software particularly any trial Norton or McAfee software):

    5. go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com . Install all required software, and then click CONTINUE. Select CUSTOM and scan | Install the critical updates of security offered. Still, follow all the instructions.
