HP 564 printer cartridges

I bought a game Photo Value Pack of cartridges at Staples (564)...  I noticed that the cartridges on the HP site says "new package" on the carton so that the cartridges that I bought at Staples did not show this new 'package' rating.  When I asked if there was a difference, that they had never heard of the new 'package' note at Staples but assured me that the cartridges I bought them just received from HP the day before.  Is there a difference and if so what?  I turn in my used cartridges at Staples and they are sending me to turn a coupon for my future purchases but I wonder if they sell cartridges "old."  Thank you.

Change package must reduce confusion between the black cartridges and photo such as described here.  The cartridges themselves remain unchanged, the packaging is different.  Check the date of guarantee on the package, I would buy cartridges which had at least a year of remaining warranty.

The big office supply stores usually give credit for empty cartridges that are refurbished and then sold under a store brand.  Reman quality varies widely, see here for a study.

I changed my printer to another HP model that requires different print cartridges.  I have several 564 and 564XL printer cartridges which, although not used are not not in the original packaging (because it requires less storage space).  What can I do with these?  Is it possible to exchange them for the cartridges I use now (952 and 952XL)?

    Hello

It is not possible to exchange these cartridges.  It might be interesting to try to sell them on a site like ebay 2nd hand.

  • Incompatible print cartridge error C309g.

Incompatible print cartridge error C309g. When replacing foul 564 XL (black), now I get this message. The new cartridge works in another printer that uses 564 XL. Went ahead and tried another brand new 564 XL - same message. Have turned printer on and outside. Is there a way to reoot, clean or otherwise set the printer before assuming it's really broken? Other suggestions?

UPDATE: this has been resolved with a hard reset. I found how to do this in another post (thanks bassergitz!). How to do a hard reset or 'dirty power up': when the printer is on, pull on the power cord to the printer and the wall. After 30 seconds reconnect power to the wall and printer. It will take several minutes to initialize.

  • 564 configuration cartridge black

When I buy the 564 Setup black cartridge, because it doesn't come in a package with other necessary ink cartridges for my HP Photosmart 7520, I can't tell which box has this cartridge inside.  How will I know which box to store this cartridge?  Thank you

Install cartridges are supplied with the printer when you buy it, they are not available in retail stores.  If you bought a printer and it did not include one or more cartridges installation I would suggest that you contact your dealer for the appropriate cartridges.  If for some reason they are not available, you need to contact HP.

If the printer has been set up and used and now the black cartridge needs to be replaced, you can buy the 564 or cartridge 564XL black.  These are available as singles and may be available in some packages from the drop-down list.  Make sure that buy the good black cartridge or Photo.  The photo cartridge is commonly available in combo pack four with three color cartridges.  See here for more information.

    Hello

my printer isn't trasnporting a paper more and it sounds horrible. I'm ready to buy a new HP printer. However, I have a lot of printer cartridges 564 (always good) and I would like to buy a printer in which I can use these cartridges. What HP printers use these cartridges?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

There are several models of Photosmart that use 564 ink cartridges, be aware, however, that the ink change from a few years back. most probably your ink cartridges should be fine but he better make sure to be surprised.

Following these guideliened to ensure that the cartridges are amended, otherwise those will not be accepted by any current HP printer:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02435884

Photosmart HP 7520 / 7525 use 5 ink cartridges (also an ink cartridge Photo) and also offer fax features:

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/products/printers/product-detail.html?OID=5283357&JumpID=oc_r1002_usen_c-001_r0001

Photosmart HP 6520 uses 4 ink cartridges, but offers no nay fax features:

You can also check the Photosmart 5520 below, similar to the 6520 but does not include a top feeder for feeding multiple pages to scan or copy:

  • incompatible 564 black cartridge in eprinter Photosmart Premium C310A

My just went black cartridge 564XL empty and I bought 2 x 5 packs of 564 cartridges in an online transaction (3 color more photo and black) that are labeled "564 setup. I did use one of the other cartridges that I prefer to use XL cartridges and just these available as backups between purchases. When I installed the black print cartridge (cartridge close in black wide slot with the corresponding symbol) I got the message 'cartridges listed above are not intended to be used for this printer as it is currently configured'. {The content removed}, but it doesn't work on my printer. Should I just throw these 564 cartridges "setup" and he chalked it up to a lesson learned or is there a solution to this. By the way which will run into the same problem when I try and use the "setup" cartridges 564 color or is it only black who is affected?

    Hello

The cartridges you purchaseds are labeled Setup? Where did you bought these as setup cartrdiges should only be received by the printer, not bought in a shop. Setup of cartridges are to be used when you first install the printer. So they will not work in a printer that has already been put in place.

  • size of the print cartridge

my new 564 black cartridge that says new package even inks is broader than the previous cartridge if it does not fit in my photosmart premium C309a

There are two black cartridges (one black, one black photo or now called 'photo'), the larger is for printing text. See this post for a discussion and this page for some additional details.

  • How to solve the Message "Incompatible print cartridge".

    Hello everyone

Have you ever received the message "Incompatible print cartridge"? This may be caused by defective cartridges, dirty cartridge contacts, or by using the wrong cartridges for your printer or the region. If you get this message after moving to another country and using a different HP ink you will need to call HP support and ask them to explain how to change the region of your printer.

If, however, you have not moved and you get this message with a new cartridge or current a little troubleshooting can be made. There is an article and the youtube video to help you to solve this problem, they are two excellent tools for troubleshooting. If the steps do not resolve your problem that make sure you try a different cartridge because it helps to isolate the problem to the printer or cartridge.

  • HP Officejet 6835: Not to recognize new printer cartridges.

Exchanged a defective HP Officejet Pro 6835 at Costco. I kept the old cartridges and Costco pulled the new printer cartridges and kept them. During the installation of the printer does not recognize the used cartridges. Error message received to use cartridges supplied with the printer configuration. Did not have them. Is gone to town & bought new HP cartridges and install. The printer took over in the same place on the installer. It does not recognize the new cartridges. What can I do? I can't start the installation program. I remove the new cartridges and reinstall them using and get the same message again. She can't get to work, so I'll have to make another 90 mile round trip to Costco to replace this printer.  Any suggestions?

    Doreen

You will need to install cartridges for initial configuration, Costco shouldn't have removed the cartridges setup.  You can contact HP, they could send replacement cartridges setup or they may suggest that you only contact Costco.

    Hey @dennisc10,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you have some problems with an error light on your PSC 1350 all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done, this document explains How to solve the blinking lights on the printer.

If after following the above you still can not clear the error, the printer needs to be replaced. You can contact the HP Support by clicking on this link and fill out the form below to discuss the options based on your warranty.

  • 6600 HP all-in-one: 6600 printer cartridges need to be replaced as often

The color on this printer cartridges need to be changed all the time and I do not print in color.  So when I'm ready to print something it will not print in black only.  Can I replace the cartridges in black and use black only?  Black doesn't last for long either but...  Very disappointed with this printer.  Had the impression that I could print in black only when other lack which is not correct.  It cost me more money to replace the cartridges what it would cost to buy another printer, which I am looking in now.  I buy cartridges very long service life also.

    Thank you

    Thanks Gemini02
I have asked questions about this at Best Buy and I was told the same thing. Unfortunately, it can't be avoided as you say. It is very expensive and as I said, I'm looking to buy a new printer, a laser printer this time.
Thanks for the confirmation on my question.
Hope this also answers Betsy2 question.

  • J4580 print cartridge problem: [Tri-Color] refer to the device Documentation

Well, I'm starting to feel like I knew better, buy another HP printer after dismal luck with two all-in-one before.

My J4580 already gives me headaches after only 6 or more months of use.

The unit refuses to print, declaring "print cartridge problem: [Tri-Color] refer to device Documentation to troubleshoot."  Nothing in the help documentation.  The Habs is always 90% full.  Sometimes pulling the Habs and placing back in crazy wil it restarting.  When it restarts, it prints perfectly.

I tried the ubiquitous "clean the contacts" and other instructions help generic that I saw, but those who were without help.  The "Solution Center (Yes, good)" appears and all ithas is a link to buy more ink (!).

Someone has an idea?  I'm about to throw it through the window of stores office, given that I can't throw it out the window of HP.

    Thank you!

Yes * I know * and I'm sorry that I forgot to come back here.  I had a major system crash and I had to reinstall a lot of drivers for my multimedia player, GPS, and printer (!).  As this occurs, the device did not return this error - touch wood.

  • HP Deskjet 2680 print cartridge 60 Black - not compatible

I replaced the cartridge three colors (HP60) both the black print cartridge (HP60).  Exactly the same ones that I took out.  The Tricolor cartridge shows "ready", but I get an error on the black one, saying that the cartridge is missing or incompatible with the device.  Gently, I cleaned the contacts according to the help file.   It is not always recognize the black cartridge.

    TIA

It would be correct to assume that the reset is universal. Are these genuine HP cartridges cartridges or have they ever been filled or refurbished? What I want do you is remove the cartridge that does not work, and with a non fluffy cloth and a bit of water, I would like to wipe the power at the rear of the cartridge contacts (the copper bumps) and the corresponding connections inside the machine. You want to unplug the printer for the second half.

Then back - turn on the machine and replace it. Also, I know that this cartridge is new, but have you tried another cartridge to see if it is the cartridge that is defective?

    Let me know!
