  My brand new Pro of Officejet 8610 won't take in documents of heavyweight or card stock.  Is this fixable or should I return the printer? Thank you

  I got a tray of replacement of customer support and a new charge documents of heavier weight without problem!

  I believe that the spring on the original plate mechanism wasn't strong enough (or specific enough) to raise stock for good placement for correct absorption. On the Board again, with the release of spring is pressed on the back, there are a lot more upward pressure to lift the paper against the rolls of internal consumption.

  I want to install a whole new 8610 to our computer with WIndows 8.1 HP's OfficeJet Pro and I use a USB cable.

  I installed everything correctly according to the setting (green controls along the + "full installation") and the printer is set as default (also with the green check mark).

  There is communication between the two because I can print test pages (head alignment, etc.) for HP printer app and I can also scan a doc to the PC successfully.

  Despite the light the printer in the print menu, when you try to print, I can't any print file from PC to the printer, an email or a Word doc.

  And what baffles me, is that I can see the printed file go into the queue for a bit of treatment, then it disappears as if it's done, but it is not an activity of the printer.

  I completely uninstalled and reinstalled nothing doesn't.

  This should take 10 minutes to Setup, and I just don't understand.

  You might try the recommendation at the following link.   If this does not resolve your problem, you might want to try the tool print and scan diagnostic.

• OfficeJet pro 8610: Hey, Experts! 8610 does not correctly print controls

  QuickBooks Pro is based on the software of the printer installed to control the printing order.  In other words, controls are loaded FACE down, with Check #1 the first to be fired, then #2 and so on.

  The driver for Deskjet 6980 point 8.1 of Windows has an option in the NIV for the order of the pages.  This driver is compatible with the Officejet 8610.

  I can't get the touchsmart to print on my hp 8610. My ipad will print to the 8610. I've installed, uninstalled, installed without a result.

  Been to HP support, did not help.  The Device Manager shows as installed officejet fax 8610.

  (1) go to devices and printers on your computer

  (2) right click on your printer with your mouse

  (3) click on set as default and make sure that you click the Officejet 8610, not fax

  (4) try to print a document

  If this does not work, then continue by following these steps:

  (1) distributed in devices and printers

  2) click on your printer. (It should be highlighted). At the top of the devices and printers, you should see a tab called break the printer properties

  3) click this tab and select the tab drivers remove Officejet 8610 fax driver

  (4) make a right click on the printer with your mouse and select remove device

  (5) go to your Start menu, click principally made programs, click on the configuration folder, click on Officejet 8610, then printer HP and software

  6) click on add a new printer, then click on your type of connection.

  You can also follow the document @Norton_Support provided for you as well. Please post your results again!

  go to services in your computer, scroll down and choose the (highlighted) print spooler, click on restart (in the new box top-left

  that opens).  Wait & page, print.  You may need to choose stop and then restart.

  Hi mindy, sorry to hear you are having some trouble getting your printer doesn't work.
  
  There are a few steps, I recommend you. Even when the paper is loaded in the unit, it may not feed correctly if the paper in the printer driver settings need to be adjusted, or if the paper feed / pick roller is impure. You can read how to do these steps in Solutions 2 and 3 of this guide: LINK
  
  However, to perform a hard reset also to solve this error - you can do this by turning off the unit, unplug the power cord from the socket for a minute, and reinsert the power cord before turning the unit back on.

  Initially when I would try to print, my computer would say the printer is offline.  There are other people here who are print to this printer so I know this is not the case.

  I ran several convenience stores and nothing has changed.

  I also uninstalled and reinstalled the printer several times.

  Now, the printer indicates as being online and available but doesn't happen every time I have to send something to print it.  The icon of the printer at the bottom of the screen shows 0 documents pending, and nothing prints...

  This seems to be a pretty simple configuration problem, and I don't see the need to spent $ 20 on the App Store to make it work.  I see some comments along the lines of this problem, but the solutions are quite difficult to follow and seem to depend on having the printer appear in Safari / Bookmarks / Bonjour list.

  I'll appreciate any solution (or explanation as to why it isn't a).

  In order to print from a device iOS, the printer must be connected to the same Wi - Fi network and supports the Air Print feature. After some research, it seems that the 6500 HP does not support this feature directly. You may be able to find a solution based on HP in the App Store app, but this printer does not have Air Print capacity based on support documentation, that I could find at HP.

• My new printer does not appear in the list of printers

  I bought a new HP Officejet Pro 8715 and I had great difficulty it is set up to use. It seems the method to print and scan drivers has changed dramatically since my last new printer. HP supplies over a CD with the software, but rather is supposed to happen automatically via the Apple software when I plug in the printer. This was not the case.

  At this point, I have the printer (4 hours) work, but I can't get the software "Readiris' of scanning to work. Yet once again, I am told that if I just plug the printer via the USB port and turn it on, then the OS knows what software to load. In reality, he doesn't "know" or "do" something.

  I tried to configure manually by going to System Preferences > Print & Scan and then by clicking on the sign more to add the printer software. This will show you a huge list of printers, but the list ends with "Officejet Pro 8660." My printer is a 8715, so there is nothing for my printer.   Try a reboot.

  Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

  Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

  Isolate a problem by using a different user account

  If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.
