HP A6200N

cable from hard drive to the motherboard removed when I received the unit. I don't know where to plug the SATA drive to the motherboard. Can't find a wiring diagram for making reference to. Please help. Thanks in advance

Hitchhiker49, welcome to the forum.

Here is the specifications of the motherboard of the computer page:

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01077676

There are 4 SATA connectors on the motherboard. You must connect the drive with the OS for SATA 1, i.e. the black connector. You can find this information in the section called "Configuration of the motherboard.

Can anyone help me find these?

    Thank you.

    Yes.

I would, but it's your call.

  • Replacement of power supply, model HP Desktop A6200N

The power supply on my model HP Desktop A6200N died. The power supply provided with the computer is a model electric Delta DPS-250QB-4 A, 250 W output. My question is this, I have another power supply made by HIPRO HP-D3057F3R model with a maximum capacity of 300 W, I can use this HIPRO power supply to replace my old power supply Delta without any complications? Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

HiPro HP-D3057F3R seems to be a power supply HP OEM and should work correctly your desktop HP Pavilion a6200n. Before installing the HiPro in the computer, check the HiPro offers the same connections as the Delta. If necessary to take pictures where all the connectors go you come out of the Delta, so you don't miss any when you reconnect the HiPro.

  • Pavilion a6200n: Pavilion a6200n video card upgrade

I have a Pavilion a6200n that I'm fixing to the top for my son. I want to upgrade the video card to something like that

"EVGA GeForce 210 Passive 1024 MB DDR3 PCI Express DVI/HDMI/VGA USB2.0 graphic card"

I know that I need to upgrade the PSU also, but this card would work with the system?

    Tanks for your advice.

    Uroboros1200, welcome to the forum.

I think that the card should work without any problems.  However, because it requires only 300W to work correctly, I suggest buying the card and try it with the current power supply (PSU).  The worst that will happen is that the system does not start.  When you do that, you replace the power supply.  The manufacturers recommend more power need to protect themselves.

Please click on the Thumbs up button '+' if I helped you and click on "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.

  • A6200n recovery disks

I tried to create a set of recovery disc for my Pavilion A6200N using DVD + R discs and the operation failed twice completed the first DVD... the system reports its data collection, writing data and then check the data.  When the iron of progress has reached 100%, then the computer reports that I have a bad drive...  Can I possibly have three discs in a package of 25 DVD + R bad write after another... seems highly unlikely.  I use HP lightscribe DVD...

You can give any advice would be appreciated.  The DVD plays fine movie DVDs and music CDs.

    Thank you

    Russ

Hello Dangerruss, I have a stack of DVD Lightscribe HP that I used to burn DVDs. These seemed to work for a very short time, and then they would not be recognized by the system.

I had to reburn the DVD using a different brand of DVD (Sony) and never had any more problems with the Sony DVD.

I use any DVD Lightscribe HP. I have about 50 of them that I can't count on.

    Just some thoughts.

  • HP A6200N PC not start correctly... Think it has to do with the power supply

I have a HP A6200N PC, I got it for cheap of Craigslist-don't judge me, $25 for him and he lacked only RAM and a HDD, the guy said that he has had this problem once and corrected, but do not remember that it was over a year ago. The back of the system flashes, but when I try to start it, nothing happens... I installed RAM and put in a temporary HDD, but even when the back of the system flashes and I can hear a small ticking... Any help?

If by "the back of the system flashes" you mean the PSU led that should be an easy fix. The led must be constantly green. Blinkink means there was a lack of power and it closes to protect the PC.

Follow the instructions in this document to reset the PSU.

When to replace the modules of memory be sure to install compatible modules.

    Best regards

Windows Media Center Receiver is a service that is used to share media with other devices as zuen, xbox 360 players, etc... and it starts with the pc.

You can turn it off if it is not used by clicking Start, run, or Start, Start Search, type services.msc and press on enter, then go down the list and make a click on the Media Center Receievr service and devils, the value then apply and ok.

I highly recommend running a recovery and update your drivers and set windows media center if you use because you get a lot of abnormal mistakes most video media center error is hard to fix as well.

  • An integrated graphics card

Hello. I want to update my PC a6200n to medium-end PC. I'll buy the parts around Christmas and in January, but I am careful planning, which I just can't teach how me to. My PC is known to have an onboard graphics; a Nvida Geforce 6120se or a little like her. I'll be able to remove it and replace it with another? And what video card you advised to play games such as MW3 BF3 Skyrim and others? And what PSU? Sorry, don't know much about PCs. I'm looking to spend not more 200 or more on these two parts, since I also intend to buy a new processor and RAM. I also have Vista 32 - bit race.

    See you soon.

  • Video does not connect.

    I have a HP a6200n

    Works on Windows Vista

When I start my computer, everything starts running. My video is not connect to my monitor. I thought that it was my monitor, so I switched monitors, and it wasn't the problem. The current monitor works fine (tested with another computer)

The monitor out of the question I thought it was my integrated video card I was using had burned. I have purchase a new compatible with my computer video card and the problem persists. I am all of these ideas.

My resolution was well before my computer had this problem, no disconnection of wires.

Anyone know what is happening? If you do, you can tell me how to solve this problem.

I can provide more information, do not hesitate to ask.

Have you tried a different video cable?

Test your memory modules one-at-a-time as follows.

Delete all except the most close to the CPU.

    Now turn on your system.

If that had no effect, and then delete this module and try the following.

Module memory failed {s} can cause video to not display.

  • Failing hard drive?

I have a HP Pavilion a6200n that I went down to XP (did not like Vista) four years ago and has never had problems until a few days ago, when I turned it on I got a black screen with "nvidia mediashield bios 9.86 detection tables" that came just after the start of HP. Of course, the computer wouldn't start, so I unplugged it. When the HP screen came I hit ESC to bring up the start menu, and then press F4 to exit and then XP loaded up. It still does not work. Sometimes I have to press F10 for Setup and reset the values by default and sometimes I hit F11 for recovery of the system and start windows normally. To get Windows to load is never the same way.

Now, repair Windows by booting from the XP CD at startup will fix this problem, is my BIOS screwed or do I have another direction, I can go to to solve this problem? Knowledge Base and Nvidias forums have been without help.

The cell of the piece is held in place by a spring mechanism, so if you just clear a little, it will usually just pop right out.

Push the battery so it slides at the end and the near end appears. (micro-tournevis)

  • 32 but Vista 64 bit Windows 7

I have an a6200n Pavilion with 4 GB of RAM (half added after purchase) and Vista 32 bit. The internal system reports it is 64-bit capable. Upgrade advisor from Microsoft lists only a 32-bit Windows 7 upgrade path.
