HP boot CD-ROM

I currently own a HP Officejet J5700 all-in-one printer.  I have a Dell Tower and just move to XP windows.7. When we bought the printer, that it came only with Starter CD for Windows XP and Vista, neither of which can be installed on my new laptop (I tried to use the Vista CD and he just said that my operating system is not supported). Can I download or install on my computer that will install the necessary drivers?

Here is the link for your software.

I have the CD drive on Free-Com with a card PCMCIA (PCcard). I want to boot from my CD to repair. The boot process is OK. But the CD drive letter has not been assigned. Virtually all the drivers CD back may not find this CD.
Yes, where I can find the BACK of the device drivers?

    HELLO Mr. Smith,

When you go to http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com - Support & Download - Download driver, you might find for your Portege 3410 (W98SE) a companion disk.

This disc is also a startup disk and is responsible for detecting the external CD ROM!

Another suggestion is to go directly to the homepage freecom.de and search for a driver or a boot disk!

  • No choice of boot CD Rom when install windows7 in AHCI mode

Hi, MY Mo is DFI P965, I tried to select the AHCI in the BIOS AWARD MB recently, but I couldn't see any instructions for me to start the CD-ROM during the installation of the windows7 CD.  However, if I use the IDE mode in the BIOS, I could press any key to boot from the CD rom to install windows 7 during POST. Can someone tell me how to start the CD rom to install windows in AHCI mode?

The initial start of the DVD does not copy the files to be installed on the HARD drive and put in place WinPE on the disc to start next to the HARD drive. Run the install in IDE mode and watch as 1st boot. Switch to AHCI before reloading and then leave the boot continues from the HARD disk.

  • Satellite L500 - boot PXE ROM message

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite L500 only a few weeks, after a reboot I got the following error message,
"For failure of Realtek PCI-E Ethernet Controller PXE - E61 Media Test, check cable PXE - M0F outgoing PXE ROM.

I tried everything I could think off, ultimately exploitation 0 cash to restart to try to restore the factory default, however the laptop just made the turn, loading the operating system, drivers etc, restart, then back to the loading of the operating system again. I suspect the PXE - E61 error indicates the hard drive has developed a defect and will need to be replaced, but I would avoid to return under warranty if possible.

Could someone either confirm that there is nothing I can do other than return under warranty or offer me a fix?

    Thank you very much
    Brettie

    Hi Brettie,

I had a similar problem on my laptop HARD drive became faulty after a few weeks. I think that this is not uncommon and can still happen, so all data must always be backed up on a second disc. But for example I have a laptop that is already 4 years old and the HARD drive still works like the first day! ;)

    > it back under warranty if possible.
Of course, you can fix this problem under warranty. Simply contact your local authorized service provider and explain your problem. They will help you!

  • Cannot change the priority of boot CD-ROM - Y580

Recently bought the laptop Lenovo y580 which comes preinstalled with Windows 8. I can't boot from a cd or a flash drive as there is no place in the bios to change. In the boot priority that it lists only

    the Windows Boot Manager

    something else to IVP4

    something else for IVP6

How can I change this so that I can boot and install another operating system, any ideas?

In the bios menu turn off uefi and secure boot.

  • A reinstall of Windows SP3 will set my automatic boot DVD-ROM failure?

My two readers of DVD - ROM have stopped start automatic on both drives to install program and records of music & video.  I tried to change the registry by a patch of Microsoft article, but the problem is still there.  Another program I have installed in the past may have somehow missed upward.  I suspect that the reinstallation of Windows SP3 may solve the problem.  However, because SP3 came out years ago, we have a LOT of Windows security updates.  My question is this.  Could adversely affect anything on my system to try simply re-run the exe to install SP3 which I just downloaded from Microsoft?  If this seems a feasible idea, I'd lose all these dozens and dozens of Windows security updates that I downloaded via Windows update since two years ago first SP3 installed, or if it is not serious?

    Hello

You will not be able to reinstall SP3, unless uninstall you it. Re-install it will not be very useful, you can try running sfc (click Start-> Run Type & -> sfc / scannow-> ok) it will take your XP disc.

You can try to turn autorun by: open my computer-> right click CD/DVD Drive-> Autorun. You can also try the method of register on the Microsoft Web site: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330135

    I hope this helps.

  • Tecra M10: BACK Mode Driver CD-ROM

We are trying to create an image and a boot CD-ROM so that we can start a series of M10, but can't seem to get a driver BACK to find the drive.

Relevant is that Toshiba doesn't support such things and if you want to have such exotic driver go to the support page of the optical disk drive manufacturer and research to this place.

    Relevant enough? ;)

  • Cannot start Windows CD-ROM - Windows trouble so can't

When I turn on my laptop I am instantly present the screen asking me to select start Windows normally, Safe Mode and know the last good Configuration. No matter what option I choose, then it says "the file windows\system\config32\system is either corrupt or missing. Insert the Windows CD in an attempt to repair this file. »

OK, so I insert my CD of Windows XP Pro and my laptop will not load it. I decided to go into the settings of the BIOS (by pressing "Esc" when "Toshiba" appears), and change priority boot CD-ROM > HDD > FDD > Lan. It also did not work. How am I supposed to repair my XP installation if I can't even start the CD-ROM?

    Help, please! Thank you

I posted in another topic where you described your startup problem, but I just have to repeat it here.

To force the CD/DVD drive as the first boot device, you have three options:
Press and hold C after having turned on the laptop
Choose the boot device after pressing the F12 key
Change in the BIOS boot order

If no method can help, try using different media bootable (Windows, Linux). By the same result I think there is a problem with the optical disc drive. Try to contact and explain the situation. I put t know which model of laptop you have and how it looks with warranty but if there is a problem with the car it will be exchanged free of charge.

  • Laptop Presario CQ62: SETTING THE BIOS TO BOOT FROM a USB STICK

I need to set the BIOS to boot from a usb key. The options in the BIOS are
    BOOT CD-ROM
    Startup disk
    Internal network card

    And in the boot order:
USB disk on key/USB hard drive
    USB CD/DVD ROM drive

    Portable hard drive

    USB floppy drive
    Internal CD/DVD drive

! Network adapter (but it says that the ability to start will be disabled if the device is marked with an exclamation point, which, in my case, it is)

A question who should I set to boot from a usb flash drive which has the operating system that you want to install Windows?

I tried boot F9 options, but it gives me two options:
    Portable hard drive
    CD/DVD drive.
No drive Flash Drive or USB in the list options.

Then he said: press F10 for BIOS Setup Options. That's why I'm trying to see what to implement as boot device in the BIOS boot options.

  • Pavilion new hard drive XP Media Center Edition 2005, won't boot from the system recovery disks

Hi, I'm trying to replace the hard drive in Pavilion a1620n a member of the family with XP Media Center Edition 2005 where the original Samsung SP2504C HDD failed.  I HAVE the original recovery discs 1 and 2 system and additional recovery disk supplied with the PC but the problem seems to be that I can't get the PC to boot from them to start the recovery process.  I installed a new Western Digital 500 GB HARD drive.  The BIOS recognizes it is installed (as well as the existing DVD - RW drive) and drive past the on-board CHIP support tests.  I tried using the Boot Menu ESC to select the DVD - RW Drive as the first Boot device, as well as the tab Boot Setup of BIOS F1 to set the 1st boot CD-ROM device group and other people with disabilities.  After reboot, the drive of DVD - RW turns on for about 2 seconds, then turns off and the display shows "DISK BOOT FAILURE", INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND press ENTER.  I thought maybe I needed a kind of bootable CD boot disk to format the drive first, so I tried a BACK 6.22 bootable CD and a bootable CD of MEMTEST, that work on the other PC, but I get the same message "DISK BOOT... "on this one.  My next idea would be to try to host the new drive on another PC and copy the files on it recovery disk... but is it really necessary?  If the own PC system recovery CD should not be able to... Recover?

It seems to me that the ligthscribe drive has a problem.  Replace the disk and it may be OK after that.  On a PC so old, it is probably an IDE drive, but check first.

  • How to reinstall Win98 after formatting C on Sam 2180

Hello, I am working with Satellite 2180. I have a problem with reinstalling windows 98 after formatting C:
I have a boot disk with CD support for the A: drive. When I start it works well it also makes a ram on D: drive. He sees the CD to E: and the dir and the setup.exe, but does not start when I type setup or setup.exe. I also type Act E:\setup it won't work.
I understand that there is no driver CD in MS DOS. I have the original win 98 cd

Please help me. Sorry for my English. I'm Dutch

If you have an original win 98 CD it is possible to boot from the cd. You may need to enter the bios to change the boot CD-ROM device. You can also try to format the hard drive since a win 98 boot disk and then boot your computer with Win 98 in the drive. The installation program should start automatically.

  • Impossible to install Linux

I am installing Linux Slackware 10.1, but as soon as the cd is started / reading, the following message is displayed:

    Boot CD-ROM type: CD/Non-Emulation Booting
ISOLINUX 2.13 2004 12/14 isolinux: spec package failed, trying to wing loading...
isolinux: extremely broken BIOS detected, abandon last attempt with player = 90
    isolinux: disk error 01, AX = 42E1, car = 90
Initialization failed: press a button to try again...

I've tried the drive on another PC laptop Toshiba, and it worked without any problem.

It seems my BIOS, or maybe my CD drive (cd/dvd burner) is not compatible. I checked the BIOS update section, but without success - my model has no bios updates (I have a Satellite M45-S331). What can I do to install Linux on this laptop? I have already partitioned my hard drive and created Linux and Swap partitions.

    Hello

I'm not a Linux Professional, but perhaps the following links can help you.

These links are of Toshiba Europe and Japan, maybe that your laptop is not listed because you have a U.S. model.

  • Satellite A10, how will we change access BIOS Menu?

I have a big problem with the Toshiba Satellite A10.
I want to re install Windows XP by starting in the CD Rom, but by default, the startup is for HD.

Turn on my laptop, pressins press ESC, then F1, we have the menu of the BIOS, BUT we can only change the time and the password.
I don't know how for the Windows BOOT PRIORITY to change the setting.

    Please help me!
I would change the Boot Configuration, but impossible in the menu of the BIOS even by perform F12 key when from the laptop.

    Hi nclaude,

Normally, you enter by turning on the laptop by pressing the ESC key, then F1 to bios.

If you can only change the time, it could be that you without administrative rights in the bios.

Perhaps you or someone else has entered a supervisor password to save the bios of unauthorized changes!

But you can also boot CD-ROM by pressing c (for the cd Rom) in the startup process.

    hope this helps you
