HP Chomebook 14: Scan HP Envy 5530 to the computer?

I used to be able to scan to the computer, and then about 4 months ago it does not connect to the printers web address.  I am able to scan to email with no problems.  A little pain the but do for making each page its own document.  I have reset the printer to its default settings and rebuild the network.  It is connected to my google account.  I use a HP 14 Chromebook.

If you are unable to access the built-in Web server (EWS of the printer) by entering the IP address, it seems that there is some kind of firewall or security on your router that is blocking the communication between the devices. Are you using your own personal network at home, or working on a business network?

I would suggest trying a Reset of network power. We'll leave the router and unplug the power cable (NOTE: do not reset the router.), and then do the same with the printer and shut down the computer. After a minute, plug in the router, wait to fully turn on, then plug the printer back in and wait for the wireless light become solid. Once the router and the printer are on, go ahead and re - turn on the computer. This will refresh the network connection.

Try to access the IP address using the browser of Google Chrome on your Chromebook. If he is still unable to see the printer, you may need to contact your Internet service provider.

You talked to @DocCottle, that you were trying to scan to the computer, do not email. You were using a kind of app for this? (Because Chrome OS isn't a complete operating system, there no drivers available, just curious, if you use a kind of third-party application that is what allows you to scan).

    You can try to scan the document/image rather than copy it.

    Once you have scanned, use the printing software to print the scanned document/image to what size you want. Printing options should be much broader than the copy options.

    First of all make sure that the latest version of the software is installed by following these steps:

    Make sure that the printer is turned on and connected to your Mac or on the same network.

    Click on the Apple icon, then select about this Mac.
    Click software update, and then click the Store from the top of the indicated window menu and click on reload the Page.

    Be sure to install any update HP or Apple, then check for the difference.

    Once installed the latest update, try scanning through Capture of Image or the HP Easy Scan application below:

    All in receiving error messages, printer printed sheets releases, but never stops deliver the same 2 leaves.  Lasts for four days. Need to keep in 'off '. between sloppy 'print jobs.  Have plugged and unplugged the two cords, not effective.  Have dusted inside with canned for stuck pieces of paper air, no results.  Old printer for three years.  I suspect the software problem?  Please notify.

    Assuming that "printed sheets" are not some sort of mistake / test page to the printer...

    Try:

    Restart the services

    Cancel print jobs in the print queue

    • Stop the Print Spooler Service
    • Delete the files in the folder: C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS
    • Start the Print Spooler Service

    I understand that, in the scanning of your e-all-in-one printer of HP ENVY 5530 to your computer Windows 8 you are not able to get the scanning full page appears correctly on your computer. The HP scanning software is probably set to an option of cropping so rather than scan the entire document into your computer, the software is cropping some sections. To ensure that all HP scanning settings are configured correctly for the scans of success please can I you follow the steps below.

    1. on the desktop of your computer, please click on the HP Envy printer Assistant icon

    2. When The HP Printer Wizard opens, click scan a Document or Photo

    3. in the HP scanning software click Photo to the file or Document to the file and check the setting of the Scan size above left. Try this setting on any scanning area.

    4. prior to Scan, click on Advanced settings down right. In the window parameters advanced search to optimize the quality of the Image at the top. If this box is checked, please uncheck it. If it is not checked, please check. To the substantive aspect for car culture. If this box is checked, please uncheck. If it is currently disabled, please check. Click OK at the bottom. Click analysis.

    Scan from the front panel of your printer will mimic just the settings under the HP software on your computer. Once you set the settings in the HP scanning software they should take effect when you scan from the front panel of your printer.

    I just bought three HP Pavilion 14 Chromebook & HP Envy 4500 ePrinters for members of the family that I am trying to set up.  (I'm new to cloud computing).  Can I scan documents to PDF at the computer (Chromebook) / E-mail of the printer?  If so, how?  When documents arrive on the computer?  If the scan to e-mail is possible on the devices above, can I store several addresses e-mail ePrint in the printer choose?  Thank you!

    Thanks for shouting it and fast response.    No problem on other issues, it is we are here for.

    1. You will need to manually launch the built-in Web server.  What I've done in the past, it's just mark the ip address of the printer is to click instead of having to manually enter the IP every time. It works best if you set a manual ip address of the printer.  I've included a screenshot.
      1. Click on the "Network" tab in the SAP
      2. Click on 'Network' in the left side menu
      3. Click on 'network address (IP)' in the left side menu
      4. Click 'propose a manual IP address.
      5. Click on "Manual DNS server"
      6. For the server DNS preferred manual please enter 8.8.8.8
      7. For the auxiliary DNS Server Manual please enter 8.8.4.4

    2. There is no way to web analytics by default in pdf format.
    3. The default value corresponds to your "Downloads" folder, but you can switch to "Google Drive".
    4. If you click on the built-in web server Web Services tab, there is an option in the side menu on the left for updates. I've included a screenshot of where to find him.

    YUO must ensure that you have the FULL features software installed first and then turn on computer scanning.

    If you have not installed the software FULL of features, the following resources will help you:

    How to scan to computer

    Once you have installed the software:

    1. click the printer (on your desktop) and it will bring up the HP printer Assistant.
    2. in the menu analyze, there is a 'manage Scan to Computer', click on that.
    3 make sure you have "Enable" Scan of the computer. Also, make sure that the tab "automatically start Scan of the computer when I connect Windows" is checked if you want to perpetuate this feature. (the following video will show you how)
