• Color LaserJet Pro 500: grateful additional paper tray

  Brand new LaserJet Pro 500 and 500 sheets and heavy media bin (model CE522A/part number 2273B00AA). Machine will not recognize the paper tray.

  Last night, I left it unplugged and the two separate rooms - put back them together this morning, then plugged the power and network in and turned on. When the machine starts up, I see "true HP installed', 'Configuration' and 'Initializing' messages.

  I have a case open with HP support. She sent me this morning to say that the part number I sent relate to the status bar and the serial number I sent was the printer. I took the numbers directly from the status bar and lose faith in a hurry.

  Please let me know if there is a driver setting I'm missing or something to make it go fast.

  The plateau of 500 pages CE522A is not intended for any model of the Laserjet 500 printer, it is intended for the previous models such as the CM3530 printer for example.

  I started to work in a new office, where the CM3530 HP used to be able to scan and email to scan to the people.  Which stopped working a few months ago, although no one can tell me under what circumstances.

  I went to this for untold hours.  This printer can send an email through smtp.gmail.com?  I don't have a local mail server - I googled.  This printer will work with my gmail account?  On the tab "Digital transmission", in "E-mail settings", I enter all the appropriate information for my Google account - cross my heart and hope to die, it's all 100% of correct answers.  I hit 'Test' and the message is always the same: "'smtp.gmail.com' does not respond or is not a valid SMTP gateway server."  Which, of course, is simply not true.

  So, what other settings can I change so that the printer recognizes smtp.gmail.com?  Here is some relevant information (maybe) in the settings page:

  For the customer, I wanted to say I guess it depends on how you look at it as a customer provides a service - something like Postmail or similar should be enough, I had these configurations running before with postmail and several other clients (Dovecot etc.) has therefore had no problem using a courier service, acting as a relay service.

  Gmail isn't a unique gateway, that is why the printer can be given one, some people publish network addresses, but they do not tend to work or change.

  If I had an old PC laying around I would try something like SME Server that has a client of mail in its default installation and should allow you to configure it as a relay which could prove the concept without spending another time.

  I used to use ESmith which was replaced by an SME (although now I use Ubuntu) and large Esmith worked, I had several relay to several customers and had the inbound replication of 15 minutes and outbound instant.

  Need help with my HP Laserjet CM3530 MFP.

  The control panel is missing icons for E-mail, workflow and more.  I can go into the configuration of the printer and to the title of the homepage configuration screen, select this option to display all the (copy, Fax, Email, Workflow, file network, storage of work, jobs preserved, alternate Job Status email, Status and Administration supplies).  The only icons that will show are copy, Fax, the status of the work, jobs, status and Administration supplies storage.

  In Authentication Manager, all the options are set to NONE.

  I tried to turn them on and off and restart the printer after each change, but so far nothing I tried worked.

  How can I get the control panel to display all the icons?  Y at - it a reset without actually reset the printer?  And reset the printer to the factory actually work?

  I'll post the fix here for people who are looking, as I touched on what I had to do to get it fixed

  Play on the webgui printers interface and try to configure the scan to e-mail, the wizard did not work.

  1. updated the firmware (still no e-mail option)

  2A ran the Config Wizard and scanning configured for Email (without option of email)

  3. restarted (Email option is now here)

  Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It seems that you experience problems printing to a Wi - Fi printer. Looks like you already have a troubleshooting. I recommend reading this article, you have already done some steps here, but there is more information you have not mentioned by train.
  
  

  If the issue is not resolved, take these last steps to remove all the drivers printer currently installed that might be causing the problem:

  1. Choose  menu Apple > System Preferences, and then click Printers and scanners.
  2. Control-click anywhere in the list of devices, and then choose "Reset printing system" from the context menu that appears.
  3. From the Finder, choose go > go to folder. Type /Library/Printers/ , and then click surGo.
  4. The Printers folder opens. Choose Edition > select all to select all the items in the folder.
  5. Choose file > new folder with selection to all the selected items in a new folder named new folder with the elements.
     To save storage space, you can delete the folder new folder with items after you complete the remaining steps.
  6. Follow the steps described in previous section once more.

  If your printing problem is not resolved, contact the manufacturer of the printer to support.
