My money is on the patch Microsoft held for the same problem on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 or the disk hard diagnosis showing an imminent failure. There is a thread on the issue in the Microsoft Windows Server forums. I have gottten this information for you earlier, but I had to download and reload symbols for my degugger of Windows file run the dump file. You have certainly provided enough dump files.

Te followning image is one of the minidumps showed me. Alternatively, you can consider running on your hard drive.

View your results.

  • Is there a practice of the Windows Server operating system environment?

I'm looking to get some practice with the Windows Server operating system (2008 or other).  I came across the downloadable 180 trial period, but I don't mean to create a true server temporarily.  I'm looking to be able to have a completely 'virtual world' where I can actually add devices and simulate connect with different computers, etc.  I want to create an environment of virtual server completely, not the 180-day trial period where I create an environment that can have real computers to connect to it.  Such a thing exists?

For example, I used a program called Packet Tracer that allows me to simulate the addition of routers, switches and high-end devices to create a whole network of Physics in a virtual environment.  I can configure devices with IP address and all that I can learn how to build a physical network.  I would like to do with the operating system Windows Server if possible.

    Thank you.

  • Install a non-of a Dell Poweredge 2850 server operating system

    Hello everyone.

I was wondering how I could go about the installation of operating system, including Windows 7 and Windows XP on my server. I understand that they are not made for the server, but I would use Windows 7 instead of the server operating system. Windows XP is an option, but I'd rather not, if I have to

Stick the DVD in the drive and start to install.  Chances are that Windows 7, like server 2008R2 will NOT have the drivers for the controller RAID (PERC 4e/Di), so use the driver 2008R2 for the RAID controller (and any other device requiring disks after installation).

Controller RAID PERC 4e/Di to 2008R2 driver:
    http://ftp.Dell.com/SCSI-RAID/LSI-LOGIC_MULTI-DEVICE_A00_R227150.exe

Also keep in mind that PERC does NOT support non-RAID, so you MUST configure RAID before installing, or even with the right driver, no hard drive is visible.

    Potential problems:

Graphics - you should probably use the drivers of graphics/video 2008 x 64 for a decent resolution.  Keep in mind that server (such as 16 MB video memory) graphics will run NO Aero or high resolution/refresh.

DRAC - if you have a DRAC (Dell Remote Access Controller) card installed, you will not be able to install drivers to meet these devices in Device Manager.

Management system - software of management of Dell is NOT supported on the client OS.

    Other:

In the 2850 processors do NOT support the VT, then you would be very limited with virtualization options.

Sounds: there is no sound on a server.

    Hello

    Yes pretty close.

The limitation is implemented in the protocol used by the host operating system.

As the server operating system has its own tcpip stack, the limitation does not apply to the comments.

The guest OS speaks directly to the network card, bypassing the protocol stack in the host operating system.

  • Blue Screen Server 2008 R2 sp1

My main DC server 2008 r2 sp1 guard blue screening every time that I reboot it. My other servers (a backup domain controller and exchange) blue screen occasionally. All with the same Memory.dmp. Everything seems to point to highlight words:

    FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: X64_0x9F_3_POWER_DOWN_msisadrv_IMAGE_pci.sys

Except that I have no idea what it means. I speculate its our new antivirus, but my colleagues are not all blue screening on their servers.

  • Blue Screen.Seems a system critical fault.__BCCode:_f4__ BCP1:_00000003__ BCP2:_86EED5F0__ BCP3:_86EED73C__ BCP4:_82C65710__

HI.i have this blue screen very annoying and serious error that arises almost two times more daily during starup or shortly after you sign in to my account. I uninstalled ALL my games I had installed myself and have removed software alone third software.the that the remains are those pre-installed and reliable programs like realplayer, firefox, solidworks, e.t.c.Please help me to identify the problem and if possible, give suggestions to solve. I really need to solve this problem because my laptop is the main help of my school activities such as CAD design and research. Thank you very much.

Did you check your system for malware?
You can download the c:\windows\minidump on your SkyDrive content and provide a link?
General guidance to deal with a blue screen:

Consider running chkdsk on all partitions.  Leave complete chkdsk on each partition and see if that helps.

    Also consider running SFC/scannow.

It may be useful to use the driver verifier.  To activate the... Driver Verifier start-> verifier.exe-> OK-> create standard settings-> next-> driver select the names to a list-> next-> sort by provider-> select all other Microsoft drivers-> finish and OK your way out of the dialog box.

Then restart and use the system as you normally and wait for a problem.  In case the system does not completely start after activation of the Verifier, boot mode safe and run driver verifier and tell him to remove the changes.

Wait for a bugcheck occurs after you have enabled the auditor as described, and then download the dump on your SkyDrive and provide a link.

If you start in safe mode, do you still feel bugs? What if you do a clean boot, or boot device?

Consider the memory with memtest86 or Windows Memory Diagnostic test. Note that memory that pass the tests isn't necessarily good memory - he not only failed a review.  Examine systematically to eliminate the system RAM - run with a few modules for awhile and see how things are going. Then try the other modules.

Other common suggestions include ensuring drivers are up to date, but also to ensure that you use the latest version of the BIOS.

  • Server operating system

I need to set up a local network with 6 computers having windows xp now works. All of them use a custom software that runs only on 32-bit operating systems. Now our branch is coming where it would have more than 6 computers that need to connect to the LAN over the internet. All these computers would use windows7 32 bit OS (because our software runs only in 32 bits).

Please advice on this operating system is needed in the network local and what services and licenses are required for the implementation in the remote network. I was told to install windows server 2008 R2 on the local server and the purchase of 5 CALs for the local network. In addition, I was told to buy 6 cals Remote Office for 6 computers in the branch. My software will not work because Windows server 2008 R2 is 64-bit. Please advice if there are other options.

I checked the condition sine qua non of 12 c, it runs on Windows, 2012 but for ore, it was mentioned that it is running on Microsoft Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 64-bit only.

We also plan to install Oracle Big Data Connectors after this installation.

Can anyone confirm what operating system that we should finally install?

2012 Windows Server 64-bit is not yet a than oracle Enterprise R supported platform, but we invite you to try.  See the Big Data connectors User Guide for supported platforms.

  • View 6 does not support the 2012 server as a host for the connection to the server operating system

If I do some preparation work for a view upgrade 6.0 (from 5.3).  After skimming the documentation on the operating system for connecting servers, I notice that Server 2012 is not supported, but Server R2 2012 is.

I can get it for the installation of "resolution of compatibility issues" for the installer, but rather, I don't throw a facility "not supported" in the production.

Does anyone know the reasoning/logic behind this?

Most clients use the R2 versions, it's the fundamental reason.

The smaller support matrix, faster than we can make good QA on the targeted OS versions and this means that we can release the software more quickly.

  • Questions about versions of Windows for SQL and vcenter server operating system

Can anyone provide information on versions of the OS.   Here's what we're looking to add:

1 SQL server 2005 with service pack 2 or sql server 2008.  What version of Windows it resides on?  Windows 2003?  2008?

2 Vcenter.   What version of windows?   Windows 2003?  2008?

I looked through my books and no luck.

    Thank you

  • Which windows server operating systems can I use for the host?

I am a newbie to vmware. I'm dumping MS Virtual Server 2005 R2 for vmware Server 2 due to his support for usb devices and sound.

My goals are in order... stable, reliable and performance.

The big question is... operating system that I use to host?

    Windows Server 2003 x 64 Enterprise Edition

    Windows Server 2003 R2 x 64 Enterprise Edition

    Windows Server 2008 x 64 Enterprise Edition

    Windows Server 2008 x 64 Enterprise Edition without Hyper-V

    Windows Server 2008 R2 x 64 Enterprise Edition

I agree, you can't go wrong with Server 2003 as a VMware host OS. We have standardized on using Ubuntu 8.04.1 as our host operating system, but before you make the choice, we did tests with up to 32 virtual machines running simultaneously on a Dell PE 2950 with two Quad Core Xeon, 32 GB of RAM and 6 300 GB 15kRPM SAS drives in RAID 10. We found stability and performance under Server 2003 Enterprise to be just as good as in Ubuntu Linux. Our choice of Ubuntu as our host what OS was unrelated to performance or defects of stability in 2003 and I recommend it as a VMware host to any operating system.

  • Compaq Presario C310tu: change of operating system (32-bit to 64-bit)

    Hi, Professor and other experts

Would you be able to confirm that a 64-bit Windows 7 can be installed on this Presario C310tu if aware of the CPU is changed to a compatible 64-bit, even though he is running a 32-bit o/system?

Is ther other compatibility issues to consider?  If I find more information about this, I'll let you know.

    Thank you very much.

    Kind regards

    You are the very welcome.

There is no 64-bit processors that will work in the motherboard that has your PC.

If you want to run a 64-bit operating system, you will need to get a PC newer than this one.
