HP Compaq DC5850-SFF: What processor can I go to?

Hello, I wonder what CPU my computer can be upgraded. I have a HP Compaq DC5850 small form factor with a mother of 3029: HP. I currently have an AMD Athlon 2 x b 5000, 2.6 GHz processor, 4 GB of ram (soon 8) and a map chart AMD Radeon HD 7570 half height of 128 bits.

I was wondering if I could upgrade my CPU from an AMD Athlon II 5000 b 2.6 GHz to an AMD Phenom x 4 9750 2.4 GHz CPU with power dissipation (TDP) of 95. Please tell me if I can or cannot be upgraded. I wanted to spend for some time now, and I love this CPU.

It's the best processor, you can move to according QuickSpecs.

  • HP Compaq DC5850-SFF: Why can I not overclock my processor?

Hello. I have purchaced a 9600 B AMD Phenom Quad-Core CPU. Everyone can overclock, but I can't. My motherboard is an HP 3029 H. So could someone let me know why I can't overclock, would be great. Thank you for your time.

(PS) I tried several overclocking programs, even those made by AMD.

    Hello

It is locked in the BIOS. If you want to overclock build your own machine, do not use the machines of the brand. Reason: overclock machine will generate more heat and can fried a machine at any time. No seller would send customers machines returning due to lack of material.

    Hope it makes sense.

  • HP Compaq dc5850-SFF black screen

Hello. Generalize what happened: I was given one of these computers for free from my school who was said to work. I opened and installed some of the good RAM (3 GB). I also checked that all the cables are properly connected and that they were. The problem, that I get when I turn on the computer, this is what happens:

    1. The green power light turns on
    2. Hard drive green light goes on for a very short duration)<0.5>
    3. CPU and PSU fans turns at normal speed
    4. The hard drive makes a click and normally turns
    5. Then it crashes. Nothing happens, the HDD LED stays off

The monitor does not detect a signal and turns off with the message "No Signal"

So I tested around the components in movement and trying the procedures on the troubleshooting guide.

    1. Removed the RAM and ironed in different orders, all properly with a click. No results.
    2. Changed hard drive twice with two other people with an operating system on them. No results.
    3. Used 3 different cables for power supply and VGA monitor. No results.
    4. Tried to reset the BIOS using the F10 procedure. No results.
    5. Reset the CMOS. Not sure if this helped or not.

I'm stuck for ideas. The computer has not been started at the top with any other perephials outside of a keyboard and a mouse (who both work on other computers). This computer uses the default CPU who is seated correctly. It does not heat and so does the PSU, but not at an alarming temperature.

    Thanks for the help.

OK... this one, that you can ignore for sure:

'The monitor does not detect a signal and turns off with the 'No Signal' message'

The monitor is simply not read a graphic signal from the motherboard, so she stops.  100% normal for her to do.

Are see you the BIOS flash screen when the PC is first turned on?  For a normal CV, you should see the logo, and then there will be instructions on which key press to enter the BIOS.

There are two connections to focus on.

    1. the power supply to the motherboard (if it connects to the motherboard).  This should be a great 20 or 24 pins

    2. the data cable from the hard drive to the motherboard (if it connects to the motherboard).  If it is a SATA connector, it will be a small clip almost at the end of a speakerwire-like threads of connection.  If you have the IDE, there will be a large flat 20 studs who sort of looks like the power cable where it joins the motherboard

    * You can also try unconnecting and reconnecting the power to the processor.  This is I think a connector 4 pins near the processor.  Careful with the connectors because some of them have a clip on the back side of the box that you must hold in to remove the connector to the connection.  Yet once, make sure that the PC is unplugged and you are connected to the earth when there is a risk that you could touch the motherboard.

If you have reset the motherboard, you did all you can.  However, this does not mean the PC is finished or broken.

The situation that I had was very similar.  Power would reach the card mother and the hard drive and DVD ROM.  So basically nothing would happen.  It's so frustrating because it's not all the information to work with.  However, I made the PC out of a project rather that simply determine to fix it on the spot.  So, over time a month, once from time to time I want to spend an hour or so DIY/clean the inside etc.  As a first step, that the BIOS was not yet running.  Finally, the BIOS ran, but the drive was not found.  Finally, after having removed the hard drive once more and unplug power cable from the PSU, I reconnected it all, and the PC starts.  For about two weeks, it was on and outside, but then after this period of use of the PC was starting up every time just as usual.

You can be in such a situation, if you want to invest time in the PC.

  • Satellite T110-107 - what processors can it take?

I am looking to increase the processing power of my T110-107, and I was wondering if it could take a different processor, and what are the processors should be?

    Hello

As far as I know the laptop is equipped with Chipset Mobile Intel GS40
The new processor must be supported by the chipset.
AFAIK that is supported by the chipset
    Intel® Core 2 Duo ULV CPU SU2700 1.30 GHz CPU (956 P) 743 1.3 G and processor Intel Celeron ULV 763 (1.40 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 1 MB Cache)
But the fact is that no one knows if the new processor would be stable within the BIOS
So there is still a small part of the risks related to this theme,

Is it possible to replace the core single celeron cpu with a dual core cpu which is similar in mhz?

The Board of Directors even supports updated. I noticed that the next model is similar with a Dual core cpu inside.

    Thank you.

Yes the CPU is in a socket and can be replaced. But if the CQ60 is as a prerequisite of models for Celeron motherboard is missing from circuits to support speedstepping on the Core 2 Duo.

  • How can I find a graphics driver for my hp compaq dc7100 sff

My computer is a Hp compaq dc7100 sff, is to install the operating system is windows 7 32 bit

    Hello:

Please follow these instructions and see if the video driver installed.

Your integrated graphics (GMA 900) is not capable of Windows 7.

I can send you the link for a pilot who has to work a lot better, but you never have Aero.

Here is the link to the driver.

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en & CC = US & swItem = ob-47264-1 & mode = 4 & IDX = 0 & prodTypeId = 12454 & prodSeriesId = 3352967

You need run the package. It will extract the drivers and it will then give you an error operating system not supported.

Close the error window and then manually install the driver by clicking on the video controller in Device Manager. Click the driver tab click on update driver. Select the "Browse my computer for the software method.

Navigate to: C:\SWSetup\sp34749, make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

It should be much better than what you have now.

  • Noise of the extraordinary fan on HP Compaq dc5000 SFF

I used the same HP Compaq dc5000 SFF to work for several years. It has an eccentricity that can be infuriating: if I'm the scene work processor, the fan goes into overdrive and in a few moments, I feel like I'm in a 757 taxiing on the runway at JFK airport.

I wonder if this problem may have been treated by a BIOS upgrade. (To my knowledge the BIOS has never been modernized.) In all cases, these machines are very common in my office and I have yet to visit a person using one that is familiar with the level of db fan I meet several times a week.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you.

    Hello:

Here is the link to the BIOS for your PC release notes:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en & cc = us & prodTypeId = 12454 & prodSeriesId = 403745 & swItem = ir-63382-1 & prodNameId = 403747 & swEnvOID = 1093 & swLang = 13 & taskId = 135 & mode = 5

None seem to approach a noisy fan.

I open the case (after such normal precautions that unplug the power cord, etc.) and look for the dust clogging the fins of the heatsink and fan blades. If there is dust, it is most likely the culprit causing the fan spinning upwards.  Use a can of compressed air to clean the dust from your PC case.

If it's clean, then I guess the thermal interface material between the Processor heatsink the heatsink of surface has dried and you do not have a good heat transfer between the processor and the heat sink (your processor is overheating, but not thermal breakpoint).

The repair is to remove the heat sink. Remove the old thermal paste from the heatsink and processor apply new thermal paste and go back.

  • HP compaq dc5100 sff: loss of internet connection on desktop after installing windows 10

She said "not connected-no connections are available. So is it not reconizing him actions card built in the Board of directors or what. I tried to reload the drivers. I can use any help I can get. I have a hp compaq dc5100 sff with 3 GHz, computer of office 2 GB of ram. I've updated my laptop and it works fine. If I can't understand, I guess I'll go back to windows 7. Ideals, let me know...

    Ok.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to install the latest driver ethernet directly from BCM and see if it works.

I think you need the first driver on the list for 32 bit.

    http://www.Broadcom.com/support/?GID=9

You will need to manually install the driver for the adapter ethernet BCM in the Device Manager, as the file contains only the driver files and no setup.exe file.

    Hello:

The info that I could find, X 1550 can develop 27W power, which is very good for your PC.

So, if you have one, all about the pose that will fit in your case, then it should work without problem.

Why not opt for a more modern card and get a Radeon HD 6450?

This is the map used in the 8200 Elite SFF that has the same power 240W.

He would use the subject of the same power - or even less.

Just make sure that you get a low profile with the extra-thin bracket card.
