HP D110a wireless analysis via Airport Extreme

I have a HP D110a all-in-one printer/scanner with Windows 7.

My HP D110a has always provided full scan wireless capabilities by using the router wireless at a low price (provided by the cable operator), but I've recently updated my router Wireless 'new, advanced"Apple Airport Extreme, and unfortunately the only analysis order. Print still works fine.

My HP all-in-one is always connected wireless to my network, however to scan wireless does more for the upgrade of my Apple Airport Extreme router. The scanner device is found by Windows. Print still works fine.

Why the Apple Airport Extreme neutralizes capabilities of scanning wireless (hide the scanner)?

Can I reconfigure my HP D110a or Apple Airport Extreme to re - activate wireless scanning capabilities?

Hello PK69,

Welcome to the HP Forums! I understand that you are unable to scan a document using your Photosmart D110A. Please follow these two HP document 'Analysis of no. Options' and ' year error occurred while communicating with scanner ".

Given that you just upgraded to a new Apple Airport Extreme router, you want to ensure that this router is configured for dhcp and 2.46 Hz.

Please send me your troubleshooting steps.

  • OfficeJet 8500 wireless printing through Airport Extreme = 'offline', how to fix?

I know this question has been asked below, but it seems that everyone's situation is a little different.

I have a MacBook using OS X 10.5.8.  I had this printer the other day & everything seems to go well except wireless printing (I can print with USB connected to the computer).

The printer appears in Airport utility (and I even tried the remove all printers & add this a trick I've seen suggested in other posts) and in my programs as an option for printing but when I try to print wireless it says "offline".

The printer is not 'asleep' or into hibernation or anything like that.

Can anyone offer a solution that is not too technical? I know not all the computer jargon. Thank you! I intend to return it for the one with the wireless built in so I can't fix this pretty soon.

Oh, the 909 a doesn't have wireless.  You plug it into your airport with an Ethernet cable.  It will automatically get an IP address when you plug it in.

  • Gigabit Ethernet through AirPort Extreme

I just got a gigabit home connection. If I connect my iMac via ethernet to gigabit municipal internet provider modem, II can get about 800 Mbps download based on the file netspeed.com. Nice.

However, when I use my Airport Extreme as a router ethernet (put the extreme between the iMac and the modem) my speed drops to about 1/10 of that.

None of the devices that I currently own are capable of handling 802.11 ac, so I know I could not anywhere near gigabit wireless speeds. But it would be nice to have the fastest speeds on the one machine I intend to connect via ethernet, then connecy to the extreme wireless.

Airport Extreme really limit the ethernet so? Is there a setting I can adjust for more fast ethernet routing?

If the AirPort Extreme 802.11ac is configured as a DHCP and NAT router, then the WAN to LAN speed will be limited to about 300-400 Mbps.  Check the results here:

    http://www.SmallNetBuilder.com/tools/charts/router/view

If the AirPort Extreme is configured in Bridge Mode, then you would expect to see 600 - 700 MB/s speed this way.

    http://www.SmallNetBuilder.com/tools/charts/router/bar/75-LAN-to-Wan

If you don't see results, then the AirPort Extreme is not to negotiate properly with your modem speeds.  Unfortunately, Apple has removed all the settings to manually adjust WAN port on the AirPort Extreme 802.11ac speed, so there is not much you can do others try a few unusual things...

One of them would be to insert a Gigabit Ethernet switch between modem and AirPort Extreme to see if it will negotiate better speeds like that

Another would be to try an Ethernet cable between the modem and AirPort Extreme cross.

If none of these things help, then you should ask Apple to replace the AirPort Extreme to you and hope for more luck in the next test.

  • Airport for Time Machine utility settings / Airport Extreme network

I just added a new Airport Extreme to my former Network Time Capsule, to extend my Wi - Fi. I have read many posts and checked different websites, but I'm just getting more and more confused.

My internet DSL cable is connected to the Airport Extreme and then 2 ethernet cables both time Capsule and my Imac G5. What would my network settings in Airport utility to the Airport Extreme and time for a better return Capsule?

How can I find out if the two grow Wi - Fi?

I just added a new Airport Extreme to my network of Time Capsule prior to extend my Wi - Fi

I think we got it... and we understand. This tells us that you have added an AirPort Extreme to the core network to ensure the widest coverage Time Capsule wireless.

My internet DSL cable is connected to the Airport Extreme and then 2 ethernet cables both time Capsule and my Imac G5.

No, unfortunately, we do not have it.  This tells us that your AirPort Extreme is the main router and that you have added a time Capsule to provide wider coverage wireless for the AirPort Extreme network.

Sorry, but we are confused. Which of your statements above is correct?

AirPort Extreme extends to the Time Capsule network, or have you changed your network so that the Capsule extends the AirPort Extreme network?

Could you please provide the serial number and the model of your DSL modem?

What operating system you use on your Mac or PC?  If you have a Mac and you are not sure what operating system you have, click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen, then click on about this Mac.  Please post returns with the OS X Version you see here.

  • Can I connect a wireless modem to my Airport Extreme base station via ethernet and then connect this Ethernet modem to my TV to pinterest?

    Hello

I want to connect my TV to my Airport Extreme via ethernet, so I can run Netflix. Can I just the branch? Can or, if it does not reach, I use an old router as a bridge linking to the Airport via an ethernet cable and connect the router to the TV?

    Thank you

    Lisa

I want to connect my TV to my Airport Extreme via ethernet, so I can run Netflix. Can I just the branch?

    Yes.

Can or, if it does not reach, I use an old router as a bridge linking to the Airport via an ethernet cable and connect the router to the TV?

Yes. It is also possible, but only by using an Ethernet switch instead of a router would be a better solution. The important thing is the total distance of Ethernet between the extreme and the TV. Ethernet is limited to 100 m (328 ft)

  • Connect the Airport Extreme via Powerlink to the cable Modem

I have problems with wifi at home as the location where the my cable modem is far from ideal. I currently connected to an Airport Extreme, which works like the router (the cable modem has the router function disabled). Attached to the AE is also a powerlink and I have an Airport Express connected to the powerlink, which has its own network.

I was wondering if it would make sense to connect the powerlink directly to the cable modem and then put my Airport Extreme, a more central location in my home connected via Powerlink and there accumulate this way, rather than the current configuration.

I'm getting a second Airport Extreme soon as well and I have several express in my house, but the problem is that my wifi is not fast at all.

    Powerlink adapters are Devolo 600 & 1200.

    Thank you

I was wondering if it would make sense to connect the powerlink directly to the cable modem and then put my Airport Extreme, a more central location in my home connected via Powerlink and there accumulate this way, rather than the current configuration.

It's always a good idea to place the 'main' AirPort router as close as possible of the area where most of the wireless devices should be used in this sense, your idea is a good thing... and in theory at least. ... .the powerline adapters allow you to do.

However, in practice... you won't really know how well... or even if... this type of installation will work until you try you. The reason for this is there is so many different things that can affect the performance of a type of current line of the installation program.

If you have time, there is certainly no harm in trying this type of configuration.  Post your results if you decide to try it.

  • I want to thank my wifi in another part of the House with an Airport Extreme. But I want to not be connected to the modem main via ethernet cable is it possible?

I want to thank my wifi in another part of the House with an Airport Extreme. But I want to not be connected to the modem main via ethernet cable is it possible?

I put in place already to extend the wifi of my modem still connected to the modem via ethernet cable.

Now I want to be considered on the floor and use it to extend the wifi without ethernet cable

The AirPort Extreme can extend only wireless signal from another router from Apple, so if you want to take the AirPort Extreme on the floor and extend wireless signal, you will need another airport connected to your modem by Ethernet cable router to produce the wireless signal that will extend the extreme on the floor.

Another way of saying the same thing would be to say that if you want to extend wireless using a router from Apple, you'll need two of them do... because AirPort Extreme is not compatible with a third-party modem or modem/router for this purpose.

  • Four express airport Wireless extends through the other, instead of directly through my airport extreme

    Hello

I have a small question which I hope someone can help me with.

I have an airport extreme that I use as base station, and since I live in a big house, I extended wireless network with four Airport express devices. I put express devices from the airport in mode "expand the network."

The question I have is that two of the expresses correctly connects directly to the Airport extreme, but the two other go via the two expresses first and not directly to the airport extreme base station.

I am worried that I have will lose speed because of this and wondered if I can implement all the features four Airport express way so they all connect directly to the base station and not by the other?

Any advice would be appreciated - thanks.

I am worried that I have will lose speed because of this and wondered if I can implement all the features four Airport express way so they all connect directly to the base station and not by the other?

Apple "extend a wireless network" feature works on the strength of the signal, so the ideal situation would be to have AirPort Extreme, located within your home with each Airport Express located approximately the same distance from the AirPort Extreme around the perimeter of the House.

Think of a 4-spoke wheel. AirPort Extreme would be the "hub" in the center of the wheel and located at the end of a ray separated from each AirPort Express Terminal. In this way, each AirPort Express connects directly to the 'hub' and expand properly.

The question I have is that two of the expresses correctly connects directly to the Airport extreme, but the two other go via the two expresses first and not directly to the airport extreme base station.

The two airport expresses which connect to other expresses 'extension' of the network are not all. They 'join' the network... so they could be used for AirPlay or a printer USB remote... but the Express do not 'extends' the network when he "joined".

You will need to experiment with different places until you see all four expresses connect directly to the main AirPort Extreme.

As loss of speed in the network is... whenever you try to extend wireless network, nearly half of the potential speed on the network will be lost in the process. It's just a character of the beast to the extension of a wireless network.

You can avoid the loss of speed in the network by configuring each AirPort Express Terminal to connect to the main router using a wired Ethernet cable connection. There is no loss of speed at all through the connection Ethernet cable up to 300 + feet, so full power is stored on the network when you do it this way.

  • Can I connect wireless and wired to the Airport Extreme even? My House has plaster walls that inhibit the signal and I move to my office.

I have a good Wi - fi network at home using an Airport Extreme and Airport Express, but am moving my office on the other side of the House. The walls are plaster that inhibit the signal. Can I connect another Express to my extreme via an Ethernet cable for the office. I still maintain the wireless network. Thanks for your help.

Yes, it's the right way to do things.

Only the express will not extend the wireless... you create a wireless network of the same name and security settings... This is called roaming network.

  • ARE remote with Apple Airport Extreme router wireless

Hi all! I'm controlling my DA5800 STR using the Remote ES app but neither my iOS device sees the receiver OR my Sony Android Tablet S. So I figure it must be the network set up. I use a cable modem Motorola connected to an Apple Airport Extreme via an ethernet cable. The receiver is connected to the router, as shown in the manual.

    I'm doing something wrong here?

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Hello Sandiegodom,

Please check the network settings on the receiver ARE and confirm that the 'external control' is active, as well as the "relief network" that will allow the application ARE the 'waking up' the unit from standby mode.

Also check that your phone is connected to the same wireless network, and IP addresses of the phone and the receiver are in the same subnet / IP Range. UpNp must also be enabled in the settings of the router.

If you have verifed that these settings are correct, then the question is perhaps with the router where it does not send data to the local discovery of uPnP network devices. A simple power reset or resetting the router will sometimes force the router to send back data and should fix the problem if that is the case.

  • Can I connect my HP5580 to Airport Extreme and print wireless?

I use a MBP early 2011, 2.2 g of 15 "and an Airport Extreme Wi - Fi system.  Can I use my HP5580 connected to my Airport Extreme USB, to print wireless?

Thanks for your quick response.  I tried the procedure suggested you, but to no avail.   I then started to grope in the different sources of information and stumbled on this after having plugged the computer in Airport Extreme and cycling the unit you have recommended:

If you are using OS X, go to Apple System Preferences > print & scan remove the printer selected by pressing-, then press on + to add a printer, select the printer even to add it.

Once I did that, the HP C5580 will appear as connected via usb to an Airport Extreme and it prints like a champ!

So, you support led me in the right direction - thanks again!

  • HP Photosmart C4795 with Apple Airport Extreme Wireless router - cable PC problem

    Hello

I searched, but I can't quite find an exact match for my problem.

I have a new HP desktop computer running Windows 7, and I attach it to my wireless router which is an Apple Airport Extreme.  I have attached my HP C4795 printer to the USB port on the * router *.  In theory, the USB key should pass through, so that the office will think it's a printer "connected", while also allowing us to print remotely from our laptops (via the router).

Unfortunately, while portable computers can print wireless very well, the * office * Guard 'lose' the printer, thinking that it is in offline mode.  Even when it shows 'online' (after my relocation via "Add a printer"), still error-out print jobs.

Can someone help me understand how this works?  The printer works fine, btw, if I disconnect the USB cable between the router and plug directly to the PC, if it isn't something directly with the printer or the desktop, but rather the * combination * of running through the Apple Airport Extreme router.

    Thank you

    Terry

    Thank you, once again, Jim.

I think I have stumbled on the solution.  I did a reading online on Apple application 'Hello', and how he felt necessary for Apple devices, like the airport, knit with device sharing.  I forgot that the installation of the airport disk had said something Hello installation, but I discovered on my Wired HP Win 7 PC menu programs, called 'Hello Printer Utility' or something, and I launched it, selected the C4795 in the dialog box, and all seems to be put in place (i.e. the printer suddenly showed as 'online' and I could print from my desktop wired as well as wireless laptop).

    Success!

Thanks for all your help on this.  Now, all I need is to get my WD My Book external/sharing the hard drive to work as well!  Unfortunately, I do not see here a "Hello Hard Disk Utility", but I feel somehow that morning will be the answer.  I just understand it.

    Thank you

  • HP C4780 and Airport Extreme: says "device not connected" when installing wireless

Hello.  I appreciate any help with this problem.  I searched but I've not found anything exactly similar.  I have a MacBook Pro under OSX 10.5.8 and an Airport Extreme.  I am trying to set up a HP C4780 printer using the HP installation software.  The printer is connected to the Mac via a USB cable for Setup, and all the steps of the Setup routine recognized the printer.  Until... when I get to the part "network wireless configuration" of the process, Setup HP sees my network (802.11n, the type of encryption WPA_PSK) and asks for my password.  After I entered the pw, it runs for about 20 seconds and gives me the following message: "device not connected.  To configure the network settings for the device selected, please temporarily connect via USB. The device can be disconnected from the USB once the network settings are transferred. »

My printer is well connected by USB, however.  By reading some similar positions, I tried the following: limit the wireless to channell 11, by clicking on the button "allow this network be extended" and disconnect the printer before the launch of wireless setup.  I also tried several bottles of beer, but which only degrades the connection between the keyboard and the seat.  No luck so far.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

C4700 series has a bug in the firmware where it crashes when meeting a SSID of 6 characters.

Change your SSID to 10 or 12 characters until a firmware fix is published.

If this does not work, drink more beer.
