HP Designjet 500 42 "do not print

Looking for help with my HP plotter. Recently, I replaced the service station and print transport. I also downloaded the driver (Driver HP DesignJet 500 PCL3GUI 32-bit) and firmware (series of printer HP Designjet 500, 510 and 800 Firmware Upgrade) to new pc XP from the original pc used for printing crashed. The printer displays indication normal and says ready for jobs however when I send a print to the printer it just shows treatment work and transport movements feeling left right at a few times, but the jobs do not print. Also, it seems to stay forever in this (suspended) mode and I have to power the printer off to return to the normal screen ready.

What is a driver/firmware issue or hardware?

If I try to print a configuration page it also does the same thing.

Thanks in advance.

Jacob

It is a thin cable error. The ends of the cable have questions or it is not completely sitting in the cart. I guess the cable could be as bad.

  • Designjet z6100: Z6100 do not print correctly

I tried to print to my DesignJet z6100 after update to windows 10 but the machine will not print to something greater then 14 ".  I have a 24 "roll loaded on the machine and when I try to print with photoshop, I select a page 16" x 20 "size, but it prints just 14" and then cut the rest of the image.

The printer is reading so I know that's not that media to 24 ".  It seems that im missing some menu items in the print settings that I can not select a custom paper size dialog.  my software support HP tells me that my drivers are up to date, it reads as a pilot class HP designJet z6100 42 inch.

Any ideas what could be the cause, or is there something else I should do to print on this machine?

OK so I finally understood this point, I have listed the steps below in case anyone else had this problem.

    1) download the drivers from the HP website

    (2) unzip the drivers in a folder somewhere you can find it (I put it on my desk)

    3) go to start > settings > devices and click on add a printer or a scanner

    (4) after scanning, an option that says 'the printer that I want isn't listed"will appear. click it

    (5) select "add a local printer or network printer with manual settings.

    (6) select your printer is connected to the port (because mine is networked, I selected the IP address of the printer that was rated) and click Next

    (7) select "have disk" at the bottom right

    (8) select 'Browse' and that it points to the folder that was unzipped earlier.  There should be a file that appears, select it.

    (9) from here must install a driver called "HP Designjet 42 inch Photo HPGL2" it's the one you want.  You can share or not, I've selected do not share

The "class driver" is the software an HP and windows tries to install, but it has very limited functionality.  Honestly im a little upset I fgure on all this for me.  the HP less could do is put som instructions for installation with their drivers in a readme file or on the site.  Instead, they just give the files you and waiting to discover by yourself.

  • HP Designjet 500 42: Old problem of driver update

    Hello

I have HP Designjet 500 printer 42 in. And I can't update the old drivers. I downloaded new drivers drivers

Installed new drivers and the printer connected to the computer. Installed printer itself. Driver version but check it shows in 6.08 (preferably printer-> subject) window.

I deleted all drivers using pnputil.exe d Oem # .inf and printui/s/T2 orders. All the drivers of HP has been removed from

    C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository

    and

    C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\x64\3

Installed new drivers (8.10) and pluged in the printer. Printer has been installed but with drivers 6.08. So I went to the "print management" as an administrator. Pressed on HP Designjet 500 42 by HP printer 'Manage sharing'-> "Advansed"-> "New driver"-> 'Disc' and in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository I chose "dsgj510.inf_amd64_* *" folder and the dsgj510.inf file here. But could not find "HP Designjet 500 printer 42 in.". Here only:

    HP Designjet 500 42 + HPGL2 card; HP Designjet 500 plus 42; HP Designjet 500ps plus 42; HP Designjet 500PS42 + HPGL2 card; HP Designjet 510 42 inch printer and HP Designjet 510ps 42-inch printer.

I tried to use HP Designjet 500 42 + HPGL2 card HP Designjet 500 plus 42 drivers. But printer would give an error message and do not print.

With the help of the 6.08 driver version I can print from some software, but I need to print from AutoCAD. And AutoCAD gives me the error message "no: cannot use this configuration of tracer for one of the following reasons: the driver is not found, cannot find the device or the driver has a problem." No device has been substituted. "And I can't choose the HP designjet 500 printer in AutoCAD.

It is a shared printer and other computers on the network have 8.10 drivers and can print from AutoCAD. Single computer, the printer is pluged cannot print because it driver 6.08.

    I found the problem.

On the page under 10 64-bit windows this is only "HP Designjet 500 and 510 HP-GL/2 and HP RTL driver 64 bit" 8.10 drivers. And this driver is not HP Designjet 500 printer 42-inch drivers. But under 64-bit windows 8, here's two pilots. "Driver HP DesignJet 500 PCL3GUI 64-bit" 8.10 drivers and same as above. This file have drivers for HP Designjet 500 printer 42 inches and runs under windows 10.

If HP support lazy to put all work them drivers under windows 10 for HP Designjet 500 printer.

    Hello Ken,

Designjet 500 has the ability to cut the paper/online support right (at the end of the print job to the Cup/entity roller ring at the end of the print job), but I do not think that this option fits your requirements.

  • Designjet 500 prints on usb but not ethernet

I inherited a DesignJet 500 printer 24 in. I can print so that I am related to him by a USB cable but when I try to set up on my network, I can't print to it across the network.  I can ping the JetDirect card and can telnet in as well so I know that I have the correct IP address and it the card itself can communicate with my network.  I use the same driver via the USB port and the network port but still unable to print over the network.  Any ideas why I can connect to the printer on my network, but I can't print on it unless I connected locally with a USB cable?  I tried with a laptop running XP32bit and Win7 64 bit with the same results.

    Thanks for the help.

Thanks to the entrance to the Forum of commercial products.  BTW, I discover to my problem.  It looks like the problem was the cable used to connect to my network.  One of the things that I should have checked first, but don't have.  After replacing the cable, I was able to print from the network to it.

  • Designjet 500 proposed purple colors AutoCAD printing gray

We used the Designjet for years and have several colors put in place to print gray and projected (252, 253, 254 and 25).  They have recently started with purple print.  I have run all diagnostics and calibrations and alignments available, and they are all good.  I looked at several troubleshooting sites and had no luck.  I use AutoCAD v 13.

Assuming that the print heads are out of all the colors correctly, try this:

The printer HP Designjet 500 and 800 series printers have a fix that was implemented in the version of firmware A.02.08 and higher. This hotfix provides additional media profiles that prevent blue to mauve color output change. This fix is only applicable to the series 500 and 800 and only if the printer has a version of firmware of A.02.08 or higher. Once the firmware has been upgraded, follow the steps below to make the appropriate changes in the Panel menu front printers:

    1.

Highlight the menu paper icon on the display on the front panel of the printer and press ENTER.
    2.

Scroll to the paper type and press ENTER.
    3.

Highlight Enhanced colors and press ENTER.
    4.

Select the type of paper there and then press ENTER.
    5.

Press the Menu key to return to the normal display of front panel

  • DesignJet T770: DesignJet T770 will not print in color

After you move a DesignJet T770 44 inch queue from a Windows 2003 server to a Server Windows 2012 R2 the T770 will not print in color.

The general tab on the properties T770 printer States ' color: No. '.  Yet once on the printer properties on the tab color color management is set to "Automatic (recommended)".

The T770 printer driver has been downloaded from Windows Update I was unable to get a T770 driver from the HP website.

The T770 product no is CH539A / CN375A. Strangely, none of these product numbers have been recognized by the search for product number for th HP Web site.

My question is how do the T770 to print color again?

    Any help would be appreciated.

I would say that you definitely have a driver problem if you has not changed the settings in the built-in web server printer at the time wherever you spent since Windows Server to the other server in Windows.

I check all the settings on each tab in the driver to see if it is possible that somewhere in there color is disabled.

I also go back to HP.com and look for driver for that machine again.

I am also looking for a print utility for this machine, which should not be confused with a printer utility, even if they might be named roughly the same.

I recall there are two utilities is to monitor the status of your printer, and the other is to print and work around the driver.

When you have found the right print utility you save your print format JPEG or PDF file and then open it in the print utility and send it to the printer without ever open drivers.

Another experiment, you can try it if you have a practical PDF just open a web browser and access the built-in web server printer and then try to print the PDF file directly by using the option for printing on the web server.

The purpose of some of these things is number one determine if the printer has developed a problem that it prevents printing color and print JPEG or PDF from the built-in Web server where all you do is send the file directly to the printer would let you know that the printer is always able to color.

So if you can get the print work utility where you can open the PDF on a PC and then send it to the printer you have to least a workaround while you solve the driver problem.

  • Designjet 130: Two printers Designjet 130 do not print with Windows 10

I have two printers Designjet 130. Both work fine with XP/Vista/Windows 7. They do not work with 10.

I spent 20 hours trying to get these things to work with no luck. I tried TWO different machines running windows 10 does not. These printers are running via a USB connection.

I can install, make the printer by default and PRINT TEST page! I can also print from the HP Scan DR who assures me that all is well. However, when I go to a program such as Notepad, they will not print. Notepad returns an error "The deal invalid. I tried researching this message, but it leads to good spirits more that I can understand.

My machine is a processor Intel X 5960, 32 GB of memory and a motherboard Asus x 99 Deluxe.

I tried to launch the installation of the HP software in a variety of modes compatible with no luck.

I'm out of ideas other than to roll back my 7 software, which I really don't want to do.

    Thanks in advance.

Ok. I finally solved this problem. I went to the HP site and even ONCE downloaded the driver Designjet 130.

    Download driver on Dec30, 13:34 had a 2 652 k file size

Today at 11:53 driver has a file size of 3099 KB.

    Maybe they (HP) fixed.

Maybe my original upload has been altered.

    Very simply:

Connect your printer. Windows will find and automatically install the USB printing as well as a device driver option. This driver won't work, however, you end up being able to print a test page. This ultimately will always be a false confirmation. The driver version 7.00 is for Vista, Windows 7 and 8. It doesn't work in either compatibility mode.

    Go ahead:

    Go to devices and printers.

A series of beautiful graphic icons opens.

    Double-click your printer.

Double click on "customize your printer.

    Go to the about tab.

Check your installed printer driver version

10 Windows will install default v7.00 and will keep you in saying he has the best version

    available. Don't believe that.

The Hewlett Packard scanner DR software will tell you the same thing.

    Do not think that either.

You want to version 8.10. It is available on the site of HP in 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Download it. I unzipped in a folder on my desktop.

Now, go to the Device Manager.

Scroll down to "printers". Click on.

    Right click on your printer.

    Click on "Update driver software"

Do not click on the first option by default.

Do not click on "Browse my computer for driver software".

Click on "Search for driver at this location software '-specify the folder on your desktop and select"include subfolders. "

Click Browse. The software will make a satisfying update.

Return to the file "Devices and printers" and the option "customize your printer.

Double-click. Return to the 'About' tab and confirm that driver version 8.10 is installed.

Close to everything and to print something.

Just to check myself, I printed my second document to confirm a nagging doubt.

The impression is confirmed. Good year for me and anyone else reading this.

  • DesignJet 90 do not print

Our HP DesignJet 90 is not printing. Utility System Maintenance of reports that it cannot connect to printer (connected by USB to the iMac running Mac OS X 8).

I tried to remove system/library/extensions/hp_designjet_series.kext, the printer power off, reset the printing system and reboot, then reinstall freshly downloaded driver raster (version 4.4.3 (21 August 2012)), then re-setup EMS (from new download dated May 24, 2012).

    Still no joy.

HP say DesignJet 90 is still supported on the Mountain Lion

I'll just replace the USB cable again, but suspect a deeper problem.

Your printer is a company/business model. I would recommend this announcement in the HP Enterprise Support Forums for the best coverage, because they support consumer forums.

  • Designjet T120 does not print full page

I recently bought a designjet T120. I am printing drawings to her and it is printing only half of them. I had this problem on a designjet T520, and you get the error "out of memory". If you go in the printer preferences, then advanced, you can choose to send the work in the form of bitmap and it feeds through.

My problem is that in the T120 printing preferences, there is no option to choose it. Under document options - features of the printer it doesn't have the ability to send in the form of bitmap.

    Any help? Thanks in advance

What operating system the drivers are different for each operating system. If you still have the T520 driver loaded, change the port to the port of the T120, and see if it works like so many drivers use the same printer language.

  • HP designjet 500 plus network problem

    Hello

I'll need your help. I have the HP designjet 500 printer more and today I bought the HP JET DIRECT 620N NETWORK CARD. I installed inside the socket, connecting the card with an ethernet to pc cable. I went to the installation of hp on the monitor, select Yes for cfg network, ip and dhcp, I reboot the tracer and in the monitor shows he gets the local IP 192.168.1.2 as well as info from rest, which is are in conflict with other devices on the network. The problem is that im trying to find the printer over the network connections on my windows xp pro, but it does not show on the results. I don't see that there is an icon that does not give me an error. I also tried to see my tracer of the firefox browser with the local IP which has achieved and open the menu normally, showing how the network works. I tried several times to reboot pc and tracer in case they are blocked, but got the same problem. Perhaps there is a driver for win xp to see the plotter on LAN? I need to have your help as soon as possible, because a lot of work to do with the tracer and this question comes back to me.

PS I should mention that I currently have a network with 3 pc the on the Office that they link together without any problem.

P.S. This thread has been moved to printers - LaserJet for printers - Designjet & large Format. Forum Moderator - HP

First off there are 2 homes EIO to the back, so you messed up there. With the power off, install the gl2 card in another location and see if you still have the problem. There may be a plaque on the slot, held in place with a screw at the top and bottom. Just remove the 2 screws and remove the cover and install the card.

  • Unable to drawings SolidWorks great impression for HP DesignJet 500 via Server

    Hello

Our company has a HP DesignJet 500 with 24 "Inker for tracing large pages of design drawings created in SolidWorks to our technical workstations.  These workstations all have Windows 7 64-bit with 8 GB to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of hard drives and intrigue to the drawing via on board our servers (Server 2008 32 bit with 4 GB of RAM), which connects to turn over a connection IP to JetDirect EX Plus (with a sleeve of 10 Mbit / s and a CAT 5 network cable) and a parallel cable.  Lately we had problems tracing of parts of very large assembly drawings (100 MB + size), by which desktop lock when trying to trace.  They can even preview before printing (print dialog box disappears when the user clicks the Preview button).  Restart the plotter and the JetDirect gave no results better.  The server has plotter driver installed v6.08 (data file version 2.1), and the tracer itself is on firmware 3.03 version.  No errors are appearing on the plotter except an error of 79:04 in December.  Tracing a bitmap file doesn't seem to be a problem, but I could not try the other formats again.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance,

    Michael

In the properties of the driver, there is a tab services which must display a troubleshooting icon and you can click on "Run as bitmap".  This will allow the desktop process files to print instead of the printer, which cannot process large files.  It is the only way to execute works of old printers not designed to process.
