HP Deskjet 1050: Uninstall printer

I uninstalled an old printer that I put away.  Now, whenever I start my computer, I get the message:

There was a problem starting c:\Program HP HP Deskjet 1050

Culd specified module could not be found.

Anyone know how to get rid of this message.  Seems to have no luck with HP support.

Thank you

  • HP Deskjet 1050 J410 printer: cannot display the estimated ink levels

Something has changed on my system, so I cannot view the ink levels on my printer Deskjet 1050 J410 estimated.

When I select the icon "HP Deskjet 1050 J410 series Properties", he used to be option to view estimated ink levels.  This option is gone.  The 4 options that appear now are: 1) the HP printer Assistant (which does nothing), 2). Set preferences, 3). See what's printing and 4). Customize your printer.   None of these options show ink levels.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled the printer software HP using the DVD supplied with the printer.

I deleted the printer (using the control panel) and then reinstalled the printer device driver.

I unplugged/replugged the power and USB printer cables.

    I farm/powered down the system.

None of the above fixed the problem.

I'm as Windows 7 Home Premium with MicroSoft's latest fixes.   I don't know when this problem appeared - I noticed when I was printing and got a warning message about the low ink level.

No idea what caused this problem and how to fix?

    Hello LeBreton

This happens with other applications, drivers or printers?

Also does your computer from home or work?

Something you can try running printing HP and doctor Scan after you restart the computer. It is a diagnostic utility that maybe find out why this is happening. It may also be able to fix it.

  • help with Deskjet 1050 j410 installation fails

Hello, I'm on windows 7 on a HP Mini Note, I tried to install the Deskjet 1050 j410 printer all in one, several times, but I get the same message:

    Setup error

    Call to DriverPackageInstall returned error-536870141 for package ' C:\Program HP HP Deskjet 1050 J410 series\DriverStore\NGScanDriver\HPWia_Dj1050_J410. INF '.

I downloaded the Installation HP troubleshooter, run a selective startup (disable all non-microsoft startup items), even deleted my program autorun eater, still without success. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Since you have Windows 7 Starter, you will not be able to install the full features software and the printer driver. You will only be able to install the base driver, and you will only be able to install the printer via a USB connection. I'm sorry.

    Dear forum,

I recently upgraded my HP Windows OS 8.1 for Windows 10 desktop computer. My deskjet 1050 printer, which worked fine before the upgrade, does not properly more print after the upgrade.

I used HP Print and Scan Doctor several times, indicating no any problems. I am able to scan documents, the question is limited to printing. I also deleted and reinstalled the drivers at least 2 times (and restarted all systems on a regular basis).

    HeyPieter_Belgium

Welcome to the HP Forums, I'd love to help you with printing problems you encounter. Although I am not sure what is cause of the error of communication, or of poor quality, I suspect it has something to with the pilot and the recent upgrade. I suggest to uninstall the software, remove the Chuck from the properties of the server, and then put it back using the printer Installation Wizard. I will list the links and instructions below to help you in each of these steps.

HP printers - uninstalling the software of the printer (Windows)

Remove the driver from the print server properties:

    1. in the folder "devices and printers".

    2. choose "print server properties.

    • Win XP - with no printer selected, click 'File' then 'server properties '.
    • Windows Vista - with no printer selected, press 'Alt' and then click 'file' then 'server properties '.
    • Windows 7/8, 8.1 and 10 -select any printer in the "Devices and printers" folder and click on "Print server properties" above.

    3. click on the "Drivers" tab at the top of the window "properties of the print server.

    4. choose the printer that you want to uninstall, and then click 'remove '.

    5. choose "Remove driver only.

    6. the next screen will give a warning, letting you know that the removal of the driver package will remove it from the system. Click 'Yes' to say are you sure you want to do.

If documents are stuck in the spooler to print, you see an error, cancel all documents waiting in the print queue or try restart the spooler to print, and then try to delete the driver from 'Print server properties' again. If she will not always remove the sachet, restart the computer and the printer should correct this error "in use" and allow the driver to be removed.

Download and run the Installation Wizard for printer: www.HP.com/go/Tools

If this solves the problem, please indicate your post as solved by clicking on the accept button Solution below. If you need help, let me know!

    Thank you.

  • HP Deskjet 1050 (J410 series): unable to establish two way connection printer

    Hello

My printer is connected to my laptop via a USB port and provides ink level readings. It will not print any documents or test pages and when I try to align/clean ink cartridges a message "Unable to establish two track with device connection".

Can someone advise me on how to solve this problem as soon as possible? Thank you!

    Hello @West__44,

I would like to help you today to correct the problems of two-way communication that you encounter when using the USB connected HP Deskjet 1050 all-in-One printer on your computer Windows 8.1. Because you get this error via a USB cable connection there are likely a driver or software conflicts between your HP Deskjet and your Windows computer. Can I please you follow the steps below to resolve this issue.

    • Please, unplug your USB cable from your printer and your computer before you continue.

    Step 1: Remove the driver:

For the purposes of troubleshooting, it is essential that we have a clean slate to work with. Therefore, I will be having remove you all traces of your HP Deskjet from your computer in Windows before you run the hotfix.

    1. Open the screen, Start by selecting the Windows icon at the bottom left of your computer screen or by selecting the Windows key bottom left of your keyboard, to the right of the Ctrl key.
    2. On the start screen, type programs and features. Click on programs and features to start.
    3. Under the window programs and features will populate a list of the programs installed on your computer. Please scroll through the list and select your Printer HP Deskjet. Click Uninstall.
    4. Please follow the prompts on the screen to complete the uninstallation. Once the uninstall is complete, proceed to the next step.

    Step 2: Remove temporary files:

    1. Open the screen, Start by selecting the Windows icon at the bottom left of your computer screen or by selecting the Windows key bottom left of your keyboard, to the right of the Ctrl key.
    2. On the start screen, type run. Click on Run to launch the run dialogue box.
    3. In the run box type %temp% , and then click OK
    4. When the Temp folder opens, select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboard. Everything in this folder will highlight now.
    5. Select the "delete" button on your keyboard. The Temp folder contains the temporary internet files. None of the actual files or folders on your computer will be affected by deleting Temp files. A Temp file should you will automatically get the pop up to 'jump' this point.
    6. Close the Temp folder when it is empty
    7. Right-click the recycling bin on your desktop and select empty recycling bin. Please proceed to the next step.

    Step 3: Install the device:

    1. Please click here to download the package full feature software and driver for your HP Deskjet printer.
    2. Once the download is complete, follow the prompts on the screen to install your printer
    3. Do not connect the USB cable until the installation program invites you to
    4. On your laptop, please make sure that the USB cable is plugged directly from the back of your printer to the laptop. Avoid USB Extenders and home stations as they can cause conflicts of USB communication.

Once the installation is completed successfully, please test print to confirm that the problem has been resolved.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. Thanks for joining the Forums from HP Support. I can't wait to hear strings attached good luck!

  • DeskJet 1050 don't connect and print

My deskjet 1050 has stopped working on my desktop windows 8.1. It worked yesterday and is a recent purchase. There is no error message. the image of the printer is checked green in devices and it seems that nothing is wrong. When I click on the status, the word 'connect' is grayed out. I have tried disconnecting the power supply, disconnect from the computer, uninstall and reinstall the software, turning computer and new. There is no blinking light, the Green led is on, cartridges are full, usb ports and power outlets are very good. He printed the alignment page when I reinstalled it and it scans and copies. Just could not get the printer to connect to my computer. When I asked the hp detector to detect the device it gave me a message saying something about not being compatible with a tablet. I'm on a desktop, not a Tablet so don't know why it came; I'm totally frustrated because I can't find anything on the support network to help me. would appreciate some advice. :-) Tracy

  • Computer is unabler to commuincate with the series of printer HP Deskjet 1050 J410

I just install the printer, I did everything well, because he said, he is ready to use, but I get a message like

"my computer is unable to communicate with the printer" can someone please tell me what I did wrong and how

to solve this problem? I can make copies, but I can't print or scan

Original title: I just install a series of printer HP Deskjet 1050 J410

    Hi Bill,

-What do you mean "I can make copies, but I can not print, scan or?

It could be that you have a firewall application installed on your computer that prevents communication with the printer, or perhaps you need to uninstall and reinstall the printer due to corrupt files.

    Step 1

Initially I suggest you run utility HP Print and Scan of the link doctor and check if this solves the problem.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&LC=en&JumpID=ex_r4155/en/HHO/IPG/Forum/network_diag/&softwareitem=MP-120776-1

    Step 2

It is also possible that the Windows Firewall and the antivirus on the computer may be blocking the printers to communicate.

I suggest disable you the Windows Firewall and the antivirus temporarily.

    View items-

    Enable or disable Windows Firewall

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

    Disable the anti-virus software

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

Note: make sure that you re - activate the antivirus and Windows Firewall because the computer may be at risk of infection by the virus.

    Step 3

You can try to update the latest version of the printer drivers and see if it helps:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/ProductList.jsp?TaskID=135&prodSeriesId=4027462

    Step 4

Uninstall and reinstall the printer and check if it helps.

    Add or remove a printer

  • cartridge HP 61 (recharging)? Deskjet 1050 /HP, series J410, discharge printer/scanner

I bought a hp deskjet 1050 (J410 series) printer/scanner, about 3-4 weeks ago, at Future Shop for $29.99. I used all of the ink in the black cartridge 61 hp, called a local outlet for a large company to fill cartridge and I was told that they could fill up again. They did it.

Now the printer/scanner is displaying the attached message and refuses to print.

What is the opposite of "green"? HP did not hear the words "reduce, reuse and recycle '?

HP is really so short-sighted that they hired printers and cartridges design engineers so that the printer does not work after using the ink in the cartridge?

A new hp deskjet 1050 printer/scanner costs $29.99 at Future Shop. A black hp 61 cartridge costs $19.99. They really matter to the printer go in a landfill after using ink? I used to think product hp product - quality since I bought my first calculator hp 21 more than 35 years ago.

I tried to get rid of the warning (with the 'Close' button disabled) by starting the Task Manager and end the task. but the printer still does not print. Do you know another solution to workaround?

At this point, I think again the printer & shopping for a better alternative.

    Thank you.

I would say that if the message comes up again just to say 'no '.   While HP does not fill, they try to crack down on counterfeiting, which sells reloaded cartridges / reman as genuine HP.

BTW, instead of charging probably taken your cartridge used once and you gave another replacement.  If you had gotten back your printer cartridge would have recognized and do not show this message.  I suggest that contact you the restring a replacement if cleaning the contacts of the cartridge as shown below (for a different series, but the same principle) does not solve the problem.

On a related note, I gave once a printer at the local high school.  Some time later I received a call from the teacher that he was not working properly.  They had replaced the #57 with a charged cartridge that had the wrong color in yellow (green now).  We got a replacement and had one of the missing colors.  Finally, the third replacement worked.  I asked why they bought refills and the teacher said they were less expensive.  I asked if they have 1/3 of the price...  You get what you pay for.

BTW, I do not work for HP or represent them, I'm just a volunteer on this forum.
