Hello

Is there a mistake while the printer connects again router? and have you tried to use the HP Print and Scan Dr. on the link utility?

  • HP Deskjet 3520: Wireless connection

Recently, I changed my wifi network in my house and found that the printer cannot connect or recognize the new wifi network. I tried the reset of the printer to its default settings and turning the router and the printer power off and power on. I do not have a USB however, so this isn't an option for me.
I am extremely confused with the way the printer is supposed to identify the wireless network and how I'm supposed to connect to another or where I'm supposed to type the password for the network.

    Any help gratefully received.

    Hi @Jillianne16,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that you can not connect your HP Deskjet 3520 to your new wireless network. I'm happy to help you with this problem of connection!

    A few questions for you:

    1. What operating system do you use? If you do not know the operating system you are using, please visit this site. Whatsmyos.
    2. You are able to print a test page with your printer? Video: print a Test Page-HP Deskjet 3520 e-all-in-one printer. (That way we know that material the printer works properly.

In the meantime, please see this message, How to connect a USB-wireless printer to a wireless network without PC, by @jason_h. If you do not have an iPad as indicated in this message, using your computer, open a web browser (for example, Firefox, Google Chrome etc.) and put the IP mentioned in this post in the address bar of the web browser. Then continue with the instructions in this post.

Otherwise, if this post does not help to connect, I would very get a USB 2.0 printer cable at a local store. Once you have the cable, you can connect temporarily to your computer and convert a USB connection to a wireless connection, what could be easier.

Hope this post will help and hope to hear from you soon!

  • Deskjet 3520 wireless configuration

I have a new Deskjet 3520 all in one and I'm trying to get the ity configuration. I have the Mavericks 10.9.2. I downloaded the software and drivers on the HP site. I installed the software successfully and the HP utility has started, but it's stuck on the first step in trying to find the printer. It has been tried for almost an hour.

Instructions on the HP site say to use "Auto Connect Wireless HP", but this isn't an option.

Can I configure the device manually? The printer itself doesn't have an IP address, and the wireless light flashes. This configuration does not work why?

Instructions on the HP site for my printer and operating system did not work, so I had to connect via USB to set up wireless printing. Who succeeded. So for someone else with this configuration, trying to follow the instructions from HP I suggest just connect via USB temporarily.

Hi @Mina85 and welcome to the Forums of HP!

I see that you are having connectivity problems.  I would try to help!

I recommend you to perform a power reset.   Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

I also suggest this document on Center of troubleshooting wireless printing.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 more impossible to connect with USB or wireless

    Using Windows 7.

Printer was working fine on the wireless, then it ceased to be able to scan.  So I introduced to USB - all good.  Then stopped scanning.

So I tried to unintstall and reinstall the software/drivers. Came to screeen where I'm supposed to create the USB connection, plugged into the USB port, plug-and-play software could not find two of the three drivers, nowhere to go.  Yet once uninstalled and tried Wi - Fi.  Printer is connected to the network without problem, but the computer cannot find the printer.

Have you tried upgrading the drivers on devices - without success Manager, even though I directed it to the installation disc.  Then I tried to uninstall the printer on Device Manager and reinstall the software.  Nope.  Also several printer and computer, router reboots.  Nothing works.  If the printer at the moment doesn't help.  Thanks in advance for any help.

Subsequently solved myself.  (Thanks for literally nothing to this forum of discussion.)  East went to the pages of HP.com support and firmware downloaded/installed, software, drivers and convenience store - everything I could find for this model.  In other words, I did not rely on plug and play to find the drivers for me, to which he seemed unable to do.  After installing everything that I ran to the resolution of problems and everything was good - computer could see the printer for a working network connection.

  • DeskJet 3520 cannot connect to the internet

I bought a new Deskjet 3520.  I set it up on the wireless network, and everything seems fine.  However, as I'm trying to implement Web Services, he told me always impossible to connect to the internet, it does not say why.  I have the correct key in place, and everything else on the wireless can connect to the internet.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled software... rebooted the router, restarted the printer, still no go.

I understand that you are not able to connect to web services.  I would follow the steps below.

    1. get the IP address of your printer.

    2. Enter the printer's IP address in a browser.

    3. Select the tab network at the top of the page.

    4. on the left, select network.

    5. Select Network (IP) address

    6. select manual DNS server

    a. manual Preferred DNS should read 8.8.8.8

    b. alternate DNS server should read. 8.8.4.4

    7. Select apply you could get a fair warning select OK.

Let me know how it goes.

Well, after research through the forums, and not finding the correct information, I went to my router and found a setting "enable wireless isolation" which does not allow anyone on the network to see any other computer. Hi rubyjim,

Thank you for the additional information.  I was very surprised to see the number of disconnects the printer has had in the last 24 hours.

According to the information provided, I'm surmising that you stopped in step: evaluate the wireless network Test page according to the wireless network Test page you are correctly connected to your network.  In this step you ask to change the change to your wireless router, you please begin at this stage and test wireless printing?    If you are unable to print please continue with the remaining steps.  For ease of reference, I have included a list of the document printer does not maintain the wireless connection again.

  • DeskJet 3520 does not connect to new router

We have a Deskjet 3520 that worked very well with our old clumsy router Belkin. However, we passed just a router ASUS RT-AC66U, and now the printer doesn't seem to be able to communicate with her. We are running Windows 8 on our desktop. Hard, the office is connected to the router via an ethernet cable. How do we get our 3520 in network again?

  • Reconfiguring a printer wireless deskjet 3520 on the new network.

Hello... I bought and installed my deskjet 3520 on my wireless network and 2 laptops about 1 week ago.

Everything was fine but then a PC started refusing to connect to the network.

Technical support to the Belkin unhooked all the network and uninstalled everything... then reconfigured a new wireless network. Call Net2.

Access both the web very well on Net2 PC but the printer connects is no longer makes sense if he still thinks I'm on Net1.

So... the question is... What is the best way to get the 3520 to be accessible on Net2 on BOTH computers.

I didn't want to screw up whatever it either so have not tried whatever it is me again!

I'm reasonably notified have the installation disc. Win7 operation on both computers. Wired ethernet connection available and can connect each PC with a USB stick if necessary... but really want to use both wireless. I also have original HP print and scan doctor installed from the installation process!

Hope that helps and thanks in advance!

    No problem!

When you post again, I'll check in.  I wish you the best in getting the printer is connected to the new configuration of the network.

If you need assistance I am more than happy to help.  Have a wonderful and safe trip!

  • HPScan: Series of HP Deskjet 3520 printer not found >

HPScan fails on 7 Windsows with the HP Deskjet 3520 series has not been found.

I can scan to help start the analysis of the printer icon in devices and printers.  I can also scan from the browser to the printer (IP).

I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer using HP Deskjet 3520 series.

Some of the software is in Program Files, while the others are in Program Files (x 86).

You have any suggestions on how to operate the HPScan?

    Hi @Barrry

    A few ideas come to mind. It seems that the question has something to do with the software. Let's first run the printer Installation Wizard because it could detect that something is missing and help to fill the gaps;

Click here to download and run the HP printer install wizard for Windows

If the problem persists, running the print and Scan doctor could help. Printing HP and doctor Scan is a free utility (tool) that allows to quickly solve common printing, scanning and connectivity problems, including but not limited to:

    • Connectivity:

USB: Check that the USB connection from your computer to the HP product works properly.

Network: Verifies that the network connection between your computer and your network is working properly.

    • Device Status Test: checks the errors of the device, such as paper, paper jams, stands transport and paper issues and provides instructions to resolve the error.

    • Driver: checks the driver missing or corrupt files.

    • Device Manager: check the problems in Device Manager that could prevent printing.

    • Device online: check if the product has been suspended or put in offline and then sets the State back in line if necessary.

    • Print queue: checks and clears pending print jobs in the print queue (a newspaper for printing waiting to print).

    • Port Match: check the port settings for the HP product.

    • Device conflicts: check the conflicts with other drivers, such as the other brands of printers.

    • Ink issues: check the cartridges and the ink levels for issues that affect the print quality.

    • Print settings: check and adjust the print quality settings.

    • Test print: print a test page for the assessment of the print quality and provides options for cleaning and if necessary print head alignment.

    • Scan tests: check the scanning mechanism, drivers, and registry entries.

Source:try the HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows

Click here to download and run the print and Scan Doctor > www.hp.com/go/tools

If this does not resolve the problem, after back and let me know if there are all the symbols except the Green checkmarks and what they are next of course. The key is not always easy to identify the key and check mart are in the green circle.

    • If you see only the Green checkmarks (), the tool did not find any problem.

    • If you see green sides (), the utility identified a problem and fix it automatically.

  • If you see yellow exclamation points (), the test failed and requires monitoring of the user, but the step was ignored.

  • If you see a red X (), follow the onscreen instructions to fix the problem.

What are 10 Windows users supposed to do when they are run this problem?

    Hello:

As you know, Windows 10 has made it impossible to hide or ignore updates (or so it seems).

I found this tool from Microsoft that allows you to hide updates that don't work, or mess up your PC if they work, (as a synaptics touchpad update has done on my laptop).

    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/3073930

I saved this tool on my PC for use in the future if necessary.

If you want to say thanks for my effort to help, click on the 'Thumbs Up' to give me a Kudos.

Check the name of the driver that is installed by the printer. Make sure that it shows just the name of the printer.
Click on the Apple menu, click System Preferences. Click on Printers & Scanners, highlight the name of the printer on the left side and right side of the screen it should show the name of the printer. (Deskjet 3520)

If the full name of the printer is not correctly, delete and add the printer name back from the list. Click on the sign - to remove the driver and then click on the + sign to add the driver might have to drop-down list to select the name of the printer to add a click.

Please, try the following steps to see if it will help solve the problem. You will need to follow the documentation 10.9.

    Hi KennyG63,

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support and I thank you for the great question.

Capture and scanning HP is a free application available for download from the Windows store. It can capture photos or documents of a HP all-in-One (network only) or your computer's built-in camera. I have included a link with detailed steps on how to scan using HP and Capture app scanning.
