  • Error message = close print cartridge access door

I've set up my new 4500 series printer and I can't get rid of this error message.  I tried all the steps listed on the HP support site, but no help.  I can't print at all.

There is a document with the steps to solve a door open error. This document can be found here. You say that you did all the steps on the HP support site, but make sure that no steps have been omitted in the document.

If the error persists, then try to perform a hard reset.

    Hard Reset:
Unplug the unit when turned on
Disconnect the other end of the power cord from the wall jack directly
    * Wait 30 seconds
    * Connect the device upwards.

If the error persists, then try a partial reset. This reset path can be found in the document located here. The 4500 is not listed, but the reset is the same as the Group of the top in the document (method 3 and #).

If this error continues to display after all these steps, then I recommend to contact HP Technical Support on this printer. If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

  • PC W7 cannot close the creative Cloud application

Does anyone know why my pc W7 cannot close the creative cloud application when I stopped my pc?

When I want to shut down the pc, I always have a message and must close the creative application Cloud by force (I don't know the passage of law).

    THX!

This seems like a minor issue, so I recommend leaving her alone and allowing victory to force her to stop.

You can also open your Preferences cc dialog box and not start cc when you connect if this prompt mind.  Just run the application cc, at most once a month.

and if you want to solve the problem, you would probably need to uninstall any cc including the application office, specific to the use of the Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning tool to solve installation problems , restart your computer and reinstall the desktop by https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud application

  • DeskJet 5550 cannot print the page to clean cartridges.

DeskJet 5550, Win 7 64 bit, after clicking on the clean print cartridges, it does nothing. Power light is solid on. The menu box arrives with Click clean to clean the cartridges now. Clicking on clean makes this area of empty menu and nothing happens. No error or no program has stopped responding. Can the text and images fine print except that I need to run the utility for a few minor flaws. Past to the best setting which helped a lot. Does not print the calibration page either. Prints all the tests and the test page.

I believe you can force a cycle of cleaning as follows: power on press and hold the power button, press on and release the button X twice quickly, then release the power button.  No page will print, but you should hear the printer to clean.  A more aggressive cleaning can be done by pressing the X button twice and once the page break button, a still more energetic cleaning by pressing the X button twice, then press the page twice break before releasing the power button.

You can print a diagnostic page holding the power and then button by pressing the X button eight times followed by the button to jump to page four times, then release the power button.

  • DeskJet 460, cannot use the Toolbox Windows in Windows 7

Just bought mobile printer HP Deskjet 460 take traveling with the new laptop, which will no doubt be Windows 8.  Installed printer on my computer running Windows 7.  Installed automatically when I plugged it in.  Do not have installation CD.  Downloaded Windows box to tools on the HP site, but when I try to use it I get message cannot use it because the printer driver is not installed.  Tried the solution I found in this forum to run the Toolbox in compatibility mode for Vista and that caused a window to open it by saying I need to align the cartridges, but the Toolbox then basically hangs and will not function.  How can I perform the functions described in the user guide when they say open the Toolbox?

The printer prints large so far, but I have a feeling I'll need Toolbox afterwards.

Is this printer just not completely compatible with Windows 7 or 8?

Is there another way outside the Toolbox to align the cartridges or clean them or what is in the box at tools?

    Hi @KathyAtHome

There is no complete software driver for the 460 Deskjet which is compatible with Windows 7 or 8, instead, you use a driver in OS and features.

With the - OS driver, some of the buttons on the product do not work, and some of the advanced features of these products are not available. For more information about your driver in the OS and see workarounds for lost features, go to the frequently asked questions section.

You can see, " ", "workaround solutions use following HP Toolbox when you install the product using the driver in Windows 7. "

    BUT,

You can use the print HP and doctor Scan to perform this maintenance like cleaning the print heads and to check ink levels.

Click here to download and run the print and Scan Doctor > www.hp.com/go/tools

  • The title bar has stopped working and now I can't close the page with the cross or minimize or maximize, cannot close the pages

Toolbar is not functional cannot use the cross at the top to close and cannot minimize or maximize the pages.

What program is this (name and version)?

Are you sure that the title bar is not hidden because the screen is in full screen mode?  Make sure it is in normal mode (usually hit the ESC key will do that).  When you say that you "cannot minimize or maximize or close pages" is because you don't see these icons or press them, and they do not work?  You see the title bar?  Is it the same with EACH program or all instances of this particular program, or only with this page?

If it's an open program, you can still use the toolbar at the bottom of the screen and do a right click on the prgram open and then click Close.  If it isn't there, it can also be hidden. Move your mouse to the bottom of the screen and see if the toolbar appears.  If so right click on it and select properties and uncheck Hide able toolbar and click OK to close - that way it will always show (except when it is in full screen mode).

You can also press CTRL-ALT = DEL to bring up the Manager tasks, go to Applications and select the program that you want to close, and then click end task.

If you have access to the Menu bar, you can usually go into file, and then click close tab or simply close.

If you can help me with answers to my questions (assuming that what I said has not solved the problem), then I will answer you with some suggestions to solve the problem (whatever it is)-, but there are too many possibilities without knowing more about the problem.

    Thanks and good luck!

  • J6840 cartridge access door does not close

I just replaced my ink cartridges.  At the back of the access door are two sets of black bumps up and down. Tabs in one WILL NOT line up with the slots on the other.  I can open the door of ac cess to the rear, limited by the Ribbon control.  The printer will not do anything unless I can close that door and the back is always open about 3/4 ".  How can I get these tabs to line up so I can close the door?

I tried to call technical support. Their solution was for me to buy a new printer.

  • LaserJet pro 1415: cannot open the cartridge door and prints have red lines on them

First problem was the red lines on the printed pages, now I can't open the cartridge door

Just to close the loop, we decided to force the drawer open, because the printer was unusable anyway even if we have something broken. With a lot of pressure, the drawer open. We then tried to print something and a message there is a paper jam.  We opened the back door to clear paper jam and off broke a spring and a broken then only plastic parts. We cleared the jam and thought that the broken part just came to the door but was clearing of the works.  Then we printed out a page and everything worked fine.  If the door does not close completely because it is missing a piece, so what? The printer works fine. Thanks for trying to help.
