  There is currently not an ePrint application available in the App Store Windows.

  You should be able to use the driver "HP Deskjet PCL3 class driver" which is stored in the operating system WinRT.  It is a generic PCL3 driver that should work with your printers Deskjet 6980.

  OK, it's going to be difficult because the printer is very old and 10.6 technically impossible to set up a wireless connection for your printer.

  With the printer plugged in USB, go to System Preferences > print & fax.  Click on the printer and then click «Options & supplies»

  See if you can find the button "see the printer page.  I doubt you can, but we will try.  If this does not work, your only choices are to connect the Ethernet printer to your router or to solve your original problem of sharing USB or get a new printer.

  Back to your original problem, fixing, share the printer make sure that printer sharing is enabled on two Macs (System Preferences > sharing).  Then, we will reset the printing on the Mac problem system:

  -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
  -Right (control) click inside the box that lists your printers and select Reset Printing System.

  Well, I'm sorry to say that Windows XP has been the latest Windows drivers available for this printer.  There is thus, not all Windows Vista drivers.

  If you were to go to the product support for the product page and choose to download software and driver and search for your operating system.  And there is nothing available for Vista.

My printer HP Deskjet 6122 USB plugged in, and it was recognized as not specified. 6122 driver windows update indicated that the alternative driver is the 990 c. install the 990 c driver, LPT1 used but no luck. Driver installs successfully but is not communicating with the 6122 printer. I don't want to buy a new printer, but it seems that the 6122 is not recognixzed by Windows 7. How can I get the 6122 to work with my new laptop windows 7?

  Simple answer is that LPT1 is parallel. You must correct this to USB. The 990C driver is correct.

  I understand that you have a Deskjet 6988 which is not allowing you to print multiple copies, unless you go to the properties of the printer. I will definitely do my best to help you with this.

  Because the driver you are using is an OS driver, which means it is integrated into the operating system, it will be less characteristic than a full pilot of features. I will suggest that you run your Windows updates to make sure that everything is up to date, but others, while it looks like everything works as it should.

  I suggest trying the Deskjet 660C driver that is available through Windows Update.  Go folder devices and printers, adding a printer, select the appropriate port, and then in the list of printers, click 'Windows Update'.  It will take a few minutes for the current list, once he Deskjet 660C should be available as a choice.

  If your product works well without the update, you can decline the update and continue to use your product with the current configuration of the software.

  However, the Deskjet 895Cse is in the same family of products such as the DeskJet 882C so you can accept the update, but I can't guarantee results.

  Deskjet970sce connected to Windows 7 via USB. Received message this generic USB driver installed, but could not find a specific device driver. Then, I turned on the research of update of windows for the driver and tried again. Windows 7 says it all has been installed and working. Tried to print a test page and it failed. Restarted. I tried with that open print test page. See the page get qued test but nothing printed. Uninstalled the printer. Restarted. Plugged in USB to the printer. Windows 7 installed Generic USB driver and 970cse driver successfully. Tried to print a test page, it has seen that but nothing printed.

  What can I do to fix this?

  I downloaded the HP Print Diagnostic Utility 4.0 and it ran. He said that everything worked, and I told it to print a test page. It's the same thing, job qued and then dequed. The proposed help text I power cycle my impression. I did it and everything started working. I can't believe I didn't try everything first. Live and learn.
