Stereo audio tracks without link?

Don't know what changed, but with the latest version (PP CC 2015.3) when I add a clip to the timeline, the video track and channel 1 and channel 2 of the audio are not related.  Change something?  I now highlight all the tracks to edit together and individually add audio keyframes to change levels.  Thoughts?

  • How can I set up stereo audio tracks as default in first using the ProRes 422 codec?

Forgive me if this has been asked several times before. I searched but can't find anything that explained in a language that does not require a degree in computer engineering.

I'm a new convert to our beloved FCP 7. I'm learning to love dear first - but the audio part of this is driving me crazy.

I exported from FCP files as ProRes 422 movies with stereo audio tracks. I want to put first in the same way. But when I do it all crashed in a single audio file.

It plays havoc with the Pan - especially in mixtures which have a mix of stereo music. Apart from this it just confuses me.

Also. When I create a new project from scratch in the first and I select the custom ProRes 422, this setting doesn't allow to ProRes 422 audio mono. I don't see a codec for something else (ie. stereo).

    Am I missing something?

I looked in all areas of preferences and can not find anywhere to change this. I just want to import audio data from simple, basic two-lane (and let appear the same) that I would be in FCP, ProTools and the myriad of other editing programs that I use.

I also want to be able to set up a base of two-way stereo timeline/sequence without having to reinvent the wheel.

Thanks a lot for all the help and patience. I'm slowly pulling my hair and spend long periods sitting in the corner, hugging my knees and crying.

My characteristics. Preferred codec installation: ProRes 422 codec

    First pro version CS6 (6.05)

    Thanks again.

In the project Panel, select all the clips and rightclick/change/audio channels.

Set it to 2 tack and mono.

When you drop the clip on the timeline the stereo turns on two tracks.

You can also set by default in the preferences under Audio (before you import the clips) (stereo to mono).

How do I cut an audio track without deleting?

Probably the best way to do this is by checking Mute in the Audio Mixer Panel for this track. You access panel mixer Audio through the Tools tab in the toolbar before 11 or window > Audio Mixer to pay earlier.

PS - It would be great to be able to disable an entire meadow, as track in PrPro. You CAN Disable Clips, but a full track deactivation would be easy. I filed requests for features for this feature, but so far, no go.

  • How export a project consisting of 2 video tracks with many clips/effects and 1 stereo audio track so that the project can be worked into another compatible editing system?

How do I export a project composed of 2 video tracks with many clips/effects more 1 stereo audio followed that project ACR is still worked in a

    compatible mounting system? Thank you!!

When you export, you create a new video file that will have effects applied... in other words, a book finished

Of course, this video 'complete' may be edited by someone else on another computer... but it SEEMS to me that what you want is for someone to take your editing, continue editing, THEN export a finished video

    Is this correct?

If so, do some reading in the help file on the Manager project, so you can put your project and all files on an external drive to give to any other person

  • Change the unique two-track mono stereo audio track

Adobe CS6 had this right, and here I am stuck with CC incapable of understanding this simple problem.

I import the video MXF files containing two audio channels, my interview is on channel 1 (on the left) and ambient on C2. I am simply unable to understand how to remove the second piece that I don't need (simple in CS6! Just hold down the alt key and click on the track, del close and done!), here's its just a track. When I pan the audio to the left using the mixing console, I find myself with a lack of audio on the right channel.

Basically, I want this back to how CS6 if she had, I read a lot of tutorials and watched videos, but nothing seems to help. It is so frustrating and I want to just tear my hair out.

Any help would be great, thanks

  • Making a mono audio track?

Is it possible to do everything on a specific audio track to be mono?  I have music that is stereo Audio track 2 and dialogue (which is stereo, but I need it to be mono) on audio track 1.  Without having to go to each audio file and open it with another program and making mono, I can just choose mono some how a whole piece?  Thank you very much.

Yes, mapping to a Mono submix track would do exactly that.

  • How can I convert stereo audio to mono? Cannot find what should be easy to answer.

Well, that's another problem of CS5 that should be easy to find a solution, but one in which I can not find the answer. I tried the forum of Soundbooth, buit got no response.

I have a dialog box that has been recorded and is due to an error, in stereo, with the left lane containing the dialog box and the empty road. Therefore, it is not mono. It's stereo, with all the sounds on the left.

What I want is to make this mono, of course, but do not see how in Premiere Pro and Soundbooth.

I have CS5 Prod Prem thank you much for the help.

fix my fault of hit of the previous post:
You probably applied an effect to "fill right" to the track.

How is it that the right path is always empty? I apply the effect, but the display does not informqation for track.

You have a stereo audio track, which channel right has no information.
You need to make sure that you do not "Fill right", this channel is empty.

Use 'fill the left"to hear the left channel of your audio stereo.

  • 5.1 (pseudo) mix stereo audio HDV

I did a lot of research on this... and people in the forum still helped me to find a way to make my mixing 5.1 on a Blu - Ray disc.

But now I have a problem of mounting...

I used the Adobe tutorial on how to set up a 5.1 sequence... I install a new 5.1 master sequence and he said I want 6 5.1 channels.  I then copied the same audio track to each of the 6 channels in the project window.  If I use submix channels, I assume that you do not get the rear washer by the tutorial so I need 6 masters?  It is clear that you choose 5.1, but not so clear on if you import audio stereo, how master and mixing of tracks for the installation program.

I want to take my stereo mix and 'it' through the soundstage 5.1. I know that's not true 5.1, but I don't like.  I did it with any NLE and if the rear channels are low, it offers a nice mix.

I think Miss me some steps... I have to separate my audio captured HDV stereo mono or just leave it as stereo?

And despite everything, once I had my 6-channel and moved the washers autour, he didn't was out 5.1 to my PC speaker system.  It is an installation 5.1 with a Creative X - FI titanium sound card.  I get 5.1 when my other NLE editing.

I have read all the help files on the choice of my hardware audio audio betweem of WDM and ASIO creative.  However no choice gives me my rear speakers when editing audio.

I can read that I need to configure my output audio mapping... and I need 'Tileslide the channel of the sequence desired in compliance with the material in the list channel.'  However, I don't have speakers appears twice... and they appear on the left and right... Even though I have 6 audio channels in the sequence and a map 5.1 sound and the configuration speakers.

    The questions are:

    (1) what should I change to hear 5.1 audio when editing.

    (2) for what I'm trying to do, should I split my audio captured in mono channels or leave the stereo form.

    (3) how can I configure my 5.1 sequence in order to achieve my goal.

I apologize if this is something simple.  I did the reading and research and can not make it work...

I feel I'm close enough to be able to make the transition to the much more powerful tool.  The video part is quite simple.  However, I have questions on the audio portion.

If it's CS4 and a question of photo, I could probably answer!

    Thank you

OK, I am correct that you have one 2-channel (dual mono or stereo) Audio source stream?

I would create a project/sequence with a 5.1 master and two stereo Audio tracks. Place an instance of the element 2 channels on each of the two Audio tracks. Now, in the Audio Mixer Panel, locate the two Clips on the "sound stage" with the washers for each Audio track.

I would use the central channel on the first switch (Audio track 1) increase the supply of the center channel a bit, but leave the zero value in the Clip on 2 Audio tracks. I would like to add some of the Audio Track 1 power to the LFE input, but not too much.

Now add stereo Audio Effects > Reverb and Delay on the Clip audio track 2 and probably he alleviate a few dB down from the level 1 Audio track. Experiment with the settings on these two effects.

PrPro does not allow the pure creation of the LFE channel, but you can do it at the hearing, if you use 6 discrete channels sources in a multi-track Edit. I use it to create DTS streams, to be used as additional streams in yet.

This should help you good fake 5.1. Now, you should export this way SurCode DD 5.1 SS plugin. There is an entire article about the conduct of a "poor DD 5.1 SS", but I never tried, as I SurCode DD 5.1 SS plugin, as well as the SurCode DTS encoder. I'll get this older article.

    Good luck

  • export of PP - CC as a pass thru video and without mixing of two audio tracks

I want to export a mov of a sequence in its original codec and 1 original audio track with another track synchronized without having PP - CC merge audio tracks or to re - making the video track.  Is there an amp setting in Media Encoder that I'm missing?

Premiere Pro will decompress and recompress the video signal, no way to avoid this with H.264.

However, for your use, you could consider using DNxHD or Cineform.  They are the two intermediates of excellent quality, and both formats can contain two stereo tracks.  You just need to put in place the sequence correctly with a 4 tracks multichannel Master audio track.

  • How to make two mono audio tracks in a stereo pair?

My clip video, brought in first CS6 of Final Cut Pro 5, the left regular and audio tracks right, but first, they are not related in a stereo pair. Thus the volume level must be set separately in each track.

In Final Cut, I can convert two independent audio tracks in a pair of stero selecting tracks and then by going to the Edit menu > stereo pair.  I can't understand how to do this first.

When two audio tracks are not related, the volume level must be set separately in each track that is slow. But after two tracks are linked in a stereo pair in Final Cut, or another track adjustment allows to set both, together. That's what I want to do now in first.

So, how do two separate audio tracks in a stereo pair in first?

    Tom

    Welcome to the forum.

Have you looked at the padding on the left and fill right Audio effects?

They should get what you want, or almost. Now, the result will be stereo double mono and not true, but will be 2 channel, and that is, I believe, what you really want.

  • In the first 11 elements, can I convert a stereo, one mono audio track?

The microphone that I use on my digital SLR when video recording is a mono microphone (Canon 5 d MkII dslr, Hama lapel MIC). When I import video in first items 11, audio playback in mono - is there a way I can convert the audio in stereo?

    Thank you.

    Tom

    Welcome to the forum.

In fact, you cannot convert a mono source in true stereo, because it requires two microphones., but you can convert it to 2 mono channels. The difference is that you have the same signal on both channels, unlike stereo ture, where signals differ according to the micro system.

According to Steve, you can fill out to the left, or fill right, or you can just drag another Instance of your Audio Clip to a different Audio track mono. In the Audio Mixer Panel, you can pan to the left and one right.

Also, just like pre your mono 2 channels output mix, it will give you 2-Channel Audio signal even in the two ways, if you let the Pan toward the Center.

    Good luck
