HP Deskjet e3520: manually uninstall Print Driver

Hi all!

I got myself in quite the situation when I tried to clean up some temporary files and save space on my rather small SSD.  As such, I accidentally deleted the uninstall program for my HP print driver and now I can not uninstall the software, nor I can install newer software.  The software is looking for a file, DJ352x64.msi, located at AppData\Local\Temp\7zS0DDA, but there is obviously no because, well, I deleted it.

So, any advice on how to manually uninstall my driver's license so I can get my drivers updated?

Thank you!

-Stinger

If the problem persists, you can try the solution proposed in the thread below.

(1) open the command prompt window by clicking on the Start > applications > Windows system > guest.

Type: net stop spooler

Enter: net start spooler
Type: exit

2) open Windows Explorer and navigate to:
%SystemRoot%\System32\Spool\Drivers\W32x86

NOTE: any % is usually C:\Windows, but it might be "winnt" or something else; It is set when the OS is installed.  Most systems are like this C:\Windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86

(3) in the w32x86 folder, there will be other folders and files.  Delete everything inside, but DO NOT remove the w32x86 folder.

4) restart the computer - perform clean boot in Windows 10 / 8 / 7

  • How to uninstall printer driver that is not installed on the computer

Original title: my "unknown device" is a printer I own is no longer!

To solve the problem "code 28", I have to re - install the driver for HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 - but the printer is no longer installed, and in fact I is even more has the printer.  The HP printer appears on the screen "devices and printers", but when I click on the yellow triangle on my laptop device, it brings me to the unidentified printer and the hardware - MF\Officejet_Pro_8500_A910 & WSD & IP_PRINT ID.  How can I uninstall a printer that is not installed, or how can I update the driver on a printer that is not installed.

Thanks for reminding me about MalwareBytes and SuperAntiSpyware.  I used MalwareBytes a few years ago to kill a particularly tenacious virus that prevented me from my virus program execution.  I ran the two--identified only 4 files MalwareBytes and removed and SuperAntiSpyware found 286 tracking cookies - I zapped them.

Now, the best news of all...

Child of a friend's House of the college - he won grants and national contest for his expertise in computers/software diagnosis and repairs as a sophomore in high school.  He stopped on the way back to decipher problems with computers on the local school district and spent every three minutes solving my problem.  I don't really know what he was doing - he did so quickly - but he said to send you the link and you will understand it better than I could explain it.

The yellow warning triangle disappeared, and the unidentified printer is no longer there.

I want to thank all those who contributed to this thread - your persistence and patience has been remarkable.  I learned a lot from the experience even if I was not able to completely solve the problem.  I congratulate you all.

When cleaning a Windows Vista laptop, I uninstalled the print driver for the HP Deskjet 920 because I thought it was for a different printer is no longer used.  Usually, you can just download a driver from the HP website; Apparently, this was included in the software for the computer when it was purchased and cannot be downloaded.  There is no way to re - install or I'll simply use another printer?

Try to download the Deskjet 990c driver.

  • Printer Deskjet 3650 for Windows 7 driver

I tried to enable Windows 7 34 bit company install the driver for my Deskjet 3650 automatically, but he had a yellow exclamation point who said she needed troubleshooting.  When I ran the troubleshooting I got the message that hpdeskjet 3600 is not a pilot.  I tried to look through the list to manually install the driver but I couldn't see any 3600 series in the list for HP.

I tried to use the print on the HP site installation wizard, but it gives just instructions to let windows 7 automatically install the driver.

  • Is there a driver for DeskJet e3520 Android

I have a Samsung Tablet I want to print on a printer HP DeskJet e3520.  It seems that there is no driver for such a request, despite the fact that HP has an Android tablet.

Hello and welcome to the HP support community!

There is no 'pilot' printer installed SE on Android devices.  They need an application that allows to transfer the file, usually wireless to a printer capable of the same way.

HP offers the ePrint program (free in the game store).  Since your printer is compatible ePrint you can print two ways:

1 save the printer with HPconnected.com and receive the address you created for it.  Now you can send files as attachments to the printer (if you have connected it to your Wifi network at home!)

2 using the 'share' built-in Adroid feature, you can 'share' a file and direct them towards ePrint.

Note: The application ePrint must be activated first, with a code that you request HP.  Open the application to activate.

Note 2: The 'Print' function integrated in the form of tablets from Samsung will not work unless you have a Samsung printer compatible wifi.  This is the way it has been designed by Samsung.

I will pass this message to the ePrint section where, printing from Samsung Tablet has been discussed several times.

  • DeskJet 2510: Conflict of printer HP DeskJet 2510 in Windows 7 64 bit driver

I just changed my PC of Windows XP Home Edition on a new computer running Windows 7 64 bit. I installed the printer DeskJet 2510 from CD/online and it was fine apart from a lot of errors in the event viewer: -.

"The print spooler failed to load a plug-in module C:\Windows\system32\spool\DRIVERS\x64\3\UNIDRVUI. DLL, error 0xc1 code. See the user context information for event data.

Go to the web search, it appeared that maybe the solution is to reinstall the driver that I've done, uninstall and then reinstall completely the basic feature software. Since the relocation (several times now!) the doctor of printing & scanning HP reported a conflict printer driver and suggesting that uninstalling and reinstalling are necessary! As I introduced him through this loop several times I wonder if there is a bug somewhere.

The Print Test page is fine and everything seems to work properly except continuing to error messages like above, up to 4 at the same time, mainly when printing envelopes from MS Word.

I just tried this so I'll get back to you when I reinstalled again!

  • Where can I find the download of the base for a HP Deskjet D4260 printer driver?

Where can I find the download of the base for a HP deskjet D4260 printer driver? I have a new Windows 8 tablet running, and the only thing I can find is downloadable for the complete software suite.  References from the HP website they have a base driver download but you don't tell where.  Search all of lead them to the download of the complete suite.

    Hello eworth3,

I followed on the specific page for this driver and found the same thing - my apologies that there is not a link on this page for basic training.  I did a search on the site hp.com for this text and it took me to a page that has the base driver... I have included the link below.  This is the basic feature software solution and is a driver software intended only to users who want a basic print and driver scanning for use with their device from HP all-in-one.

Thank you for that bring to our attention: I would ask to add the link to the specific page.

  • Reduced with the universal print driver in Windows 7 manual duplex function

On March 13, 2013, I downloaded the last PCL 6 Universal Printer driver for my Laserjet CP1518NI printer.   Manual duplex printing is now a mess!  In Windows XP, duplexing manual was available for Microsoft documents, but for them, it worked: if I chose to print on both sides, a pop-up window seem to remember to press 'OK' on the printer when it was time to print the second side. I could close this window without affecting the driver himself things correctly configured: he printed the pages first, in reverse order, collected if necessary and rotation so that when this side is complete, all I had to do was take pages on the output tray in put them directly in the input tray and then press OK on the printer, and the other next printed pages, in good order and the correct orientation.

Here's the worst: when you print a double-sided Word file, I now get a BOX of DIALOGUE MICROSOFT WORD asks me to press "OK" in the dialog box, not on the printer, when you are ready to start printing the second side.  With an open dialog, I can't work with other Word files to the end of the first side printing.

Is then the settings: apparently, I need to change the settings manually (not what I planned "Manual" Duplex would!) to learn how to print the first side (even pages) in reverse, reverse order / rotation, then the second side (odd pages) in normal order do not hit?  Do I have to change the settings before printing the second side?

If I don't make all the settings myself, it just prints odd pages in the wrong direction and DISORDER.  If I do all the settings myself, which is exactly the pilot done for me, other than preventing me from working on other documents, the document while current is printing?

I'm especially disappointed because the old driver worked very well.  I just updated the driver because of what turned out to be another problem.  Sigh.

In reading the manual. on page 35, it describes how to enable the feature if you have not already:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01070718.PDF

According to the available information this process should not be performed by the driver. However, as I said above, almost all the settings you described I not know can be defined in MS Word. Back to history versions of the drivers, I see the same types of drivers that have been developed for Windows XP and the information I have shows that this function must not have changed.

In addition, similarly, you should be able to allow printing of greys through the preferences of printer or the printer properties Advanced.

I would like to know if this helps!
