HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4625: HP Deskjet Ink Advantage starting problem

Nice day

I bought a printer HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4625 Saturday and tried to put in place.  I bought just the printer at a reduced price to replace my other Deskjet 4625, which had ceased to function.  It comes with cables, which I was told is not a problem because I had the rest of my previous purchase.  The seller says nothing about the cartridges SETUP.  After launching the setup with the new ink inserted, I got the error message saying: cartridges use INSTALLATION supplied with your printer.  I have tried everything to ignore this error to complete the installation, but I can't go any further.  Is it possible to get around this please?  Thank you.

Welcome @joanne11,

I can help you with this error, you see.

The information you are looking for is in this document;  Ink cartridges HP 178, 364, 564 and 862 - error resolution 'use cartridges SETUP'.  New CONFIGURATION supplied with the printer cartridges must be used to configure the printer for the first time.

These cartridges should have been included in the box - if they were absent, would return to the retailer to know where they are.

If you have these but have just opened new cartridges, instead - you could see if The consumables HP inkjet - ink storage and handling helps keep these cartridges for future use after initialization.

Please let me know if any of these steps has resolved your problem, or if there is anything else I can do to help.

I look forward to hear from you!

Thank you

  • DeskJet 3050: Tri-Color Ink Cartage error problem

Hello, I just got a new printer from a friend to me as a gift. I got it February 25, 2015, just if you know the date. It was brand new, never opened. I opened and set up everything, programmed to my computer online through Windows 8. Some information in case you need it, but the problem is that I noticed that whenever I turn on the printer an error appears on the printer screen saying Cartage problem three ink colors. So, I opened the drawer that reveals the ink cartages, and look around, nothing seems to be wrong. Then I close the drawer and the error goes away and I'm able to print. This happens everytime I turn on the printer. Yes, is there something wrong? Should I ask a new cartage ink because it is still full? Is it harmful to my new printer? What is the real problem and solution? THANKS in advance.

    -Gabby

    Hi Gabby!

If the error message is no longer present, I think that the problem is resolved and you are sure to continue to use your printer.

If the error returns, repeat the same troubleshooting steps and call us again if the problem doesn't go away.

Enjoy the rest of your week!

  • HP Deskjet 2540: Wireless printing problems with HP Deskjet 2540

    Hi all

I have a problem with a printer HP Deskjet 2540 - it prints if I connected a USB cable; However, he refuses to print if I try to print wireless.

I had initially solved this problem when I went into system preferences > printers and Scanners and noticed two 2540 Deskjet series icons in a window titled 'Printers '. I ended up removing one of these icons and set it as a default, which temporarily seems to solve my problem. Now, I see two icons back in the "Printers" menu and my printer refuses to print over my wireless connection.

My printer is connected to my internet connection so I don't think there is a problem here - I also recently installed the software for this printer to make sure it wasn't some kind of driver issue; However, it doesn't give me the permanent solution, that I'm looking.

Any advice? My operating system is OS X Version 10.9.5

  • DeskJet 3050 j610a - printing problems

I have a Deskjet 3050 j610a, who is about to throw in the trash. Print quality has deteriorated so that color printing is catastrophic and I tried everything suggested in the documents on this forum and HP assistance. The ink levels are OK. The paper is OK.

When you browse the suggested fixes, when I get to the "page" to print and scan alignment, the alignment page is not detected.

I completely deleted the software and drivers and re-installed the ' software HP Deskjet full feature driver and "of here.

I am running Windows 7 and now when I go to start > all programs > HP > HP Deskjet 3050 J610 series > HP Deskjet 3050 J610 series, nothing happens.  Same thing when I double-click on the desktop shortcut pointing to 'C:\Program HP HP Deskjet 3050 J610 series\Bin\HP Deskjet 3050 J610 series.exe' - UDCDevicePage begin. Small swirling icon indicating the program trying to start and then nothing.

I can't reach the 'printer' Actions / areas 'Tasks of Maintenance', etc..

It takes too long to fix for a printer under $100.

Should I persist or throw him out?

    Problem solved.

I threw and bought an Epson.

My time is worth more that it took to solve these problems.

  • HP Deskjet 1510: Duplex printing problem - an odd number of pages only

If I print something with 8 or 12 pages or whatever (numbers) everything works perfectly.

For odd numbers of 9 or 15, or whether, it becomes a bit like a random number generator. Page 1 is ok, but the rear where need to go 2 can be empty, could be page 4. The last page prints on the last page which must be empty.

If I have a 9 page document that I can choose pages 1-8 and then separately just print 9 and it works well.

    Hey @terry6,

I see you have some problems with the printing of your Windows Vista computer to your Deskjet 1510. Now, a printer only prints what the computer told him to print, but I can help you find the problem on your PC.

    Here's what we will do:

    1. Turn the printer off.
    2. Close all programs on your PC.
    3. Open your control panel, and then printers and faxes.
    4. Right click on the image to the printer.
    5. Click on remove the instrument.
    6. Repeat if you have copies of your Deskjet 1510 listed.
    7. Turn on the printer.
    8. If the printer does not appear in this window after you turn on the printer and wait a few minutes and then click Add a printer up.
    9. Follow the prompts to add the printer to the back.
    10. Try to print again.

This should fix your problem with printing pages in the right order. If it does not then try the following:

    1. Uninstall and reinstall the printer.
    2. Uninstall and reinstall the software, you are printing from.
    3. Try another program.

If he let so please other users know by clicking on accept as Solution below my post. Even if you have any other questions please let me know.

I hope this helps and I hope you have a great weekend!

  • Using network Deskjet 722C Windows 7 problem

I have a 722C connected to a machine under WinXP SP3, this printer has been shared with another WinXP machine for several years.  I recently bought a HP laptop running Windows 7 Home Edition (64-bit), to which I am trying to add the shared printer.  After much trial and error, I have the Windows 7 set up machine to use the printer shared through the WinXP machine.  However, when I try to print, even the basic test page, nothing prints.  On the Windows 7 machine, the print job appears in the queue for the printer and the message print managed.  On the Windows XP-based computer, the work appears in the queue for a brief moment and then disappears, no error message, but without actually printing.  There is no activity on the printer itself.

I started to study this problem with Microsoft technical support, but the comments, I thought it's a driver problem with the HP Deskjet 722C (actually using the 720C driver).  Is there a known issue with the driver on the 64-bit Windows 7 OS?  Is there a solution?  My printer still works as expected with other machines on the network, but the impression of the laptop is dead in the water, and after hours of effort.  Any help would be appreciated.

There's a patch here which solves the problem of the spooler crashing into the 64-bit Vista or Windows 7.

  • DesignJet 4000 ink system initialization problem

If the printer requires installation of heads and then it was concluded the utility "purge tubes of ink.  There is no way to stop the process, it should be run.  Setup print heads are just empty resevoirs which are necessary to purge air from the lines of ink tube.  Once the tubes are purged with air, then you will be directed to remove the printheads of installation and install the regular print heads.   You will need to order a set of these heads of configuration to perform this procedure.

  • Solved my printing black ink not not problem

I had the problem with the black being very low and broken text in the lines. I found if you use the screen of the printer on the printer itself and select the Setup Menu, then choose Tools, then the arrow down once on the down arrow and you should see an option clean printhead. I ran it about 3 times and my black ink is printing dark as it should. I would say that for those who do not receive any black ink may have to repeat this as many times more than me. Also, make sure that your black ink level is sufficient to repeat the process so that you don't miss. Good luck!

I have a model B209A, this may not apply to all the print heads cleaning Interior, only most of the printers that have a touch screen on their printer.

This post couldn't have come at a better time! I had just installed the new cartridge tonight and my black one was not working! Thanks for posting your results and I hope this helps a lot of people! I was stumped until I found this!

  • Deskjet 2050 j510 printing problem

print only a part of the impression and the text is surprisingly large

    Hi 69nom,

    Thanks for the reply!

Since it is only the Excel that seems to have the problem, I suggest that you try to add another driver. To do this please follow all of the steps below:

    1. go into your control panel, and then printers and faxes.

    2. on the left, under printing tasks, click Add a printer, and then click Next on the Welcome screen.

    3. Select Local printer attached to this computer, and then Next.

    4. from the drop-down list, select the port using the Deskjet 2050, and then click Next.

    5. under manufacturer make you you select HP. Under printers find the hp deskjet 990c printer and then click Next.

    6. you can change the name of the printer or leave it as is, the decision is yours. You can do this by default if you wish. If you do just that you don't forget to select instead of the Deskjet 2050 when you print from Excel. Be sure to click Next when finished.

    7. not to share the printer, unless you need to share, and then click Next.

    8. say yes to print the Test Page to make sure everything worked, and then click Next, followed by finish.

Once this is done, please try to print from Excel using the Deskjet 990c printer driver and let me know how it goes!
