HP Deskjet offline after installing Windows 7

I have a network HP DeskJet 6988 printer.  The printer is connected to the network via a wired Linksys router.  I access it from 4 different computers at home with (until recently) no issues.  One of my computers has been recently upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7.  I noticed that, after completing the upgrade this computer (not others) now loses connectivity to the printer when the computer reboots.  In windows control panel shows the printer as off line and al jobs go in the queue, but does not print.  I see the printer on my network and the other computers are still able to print but the W7 computer impossible.  The only way I could fix this problem is to uninstall and reinstall the printer who quickly become a pain.

Can anyone offer help?

You can also set the IP address in the webserver built into the printer.

Type its IP address in a browser.

Select the Networking tab

Select the 802.11 settings

Select the IPv4 tab

Set the IP address manually to all that it has now, subnet 255.255.255.0, gateway and DNS server IP of your router (192.168.1.1)

Click on apply

Now, restart the router and the printer.
