  • Display problems using Firefox with Windows 7, 64-bit

    Hi support them

I have a new desktop computer running Windows 7, 64 bit.
When I use Firefox version 3.6.8 to view my Web site, it displays everything out of alignment.
If I use IE 8.0 it shows very well.
If I use my laptop which is running Win XP site displays fine with IE 8.0 and Firefox.
So I guess it may be a problem with Win 7, 64 bit and Firefox work well together.
Is there a ready solution to help solve this problem or I have to wait until Firefox came out in a 64-bit version?

    Hello:

You should have no problem running W7 x 64 on this PC PROVIDED , you run a processor 3.0 GHz Intel Pentium 4 630, 640 3.2 GHz or 650 P4 3.4 GHz processor, and you buy an add on card video PCI windows 7. You have no AGP or PCIe slots on your motherboard.  Your integrated graphics (probably Intel GMA 900) is not capable of Windows 7.

I highly doubt that your PC has one of these processors. It is probably with Intel Pentium 4 500 processors with 1 MB L2 cache.  Those who are capable of not 64-bit.

Here are the specs of your motherboard:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c00361570

I have a Dell Dimension 4700 with the same chipset and I got a processor P4 650 opportunity on eBay for $30.00 and now I am running Windows Vista x 64 on it, and it works fine. Fortunately, the Board of Directors on the 4700 has a PCIe slot, so it was easy for me to get a graphics for Windows Vista/7 cheap for her card (Asus Nvidia 8400GS 512 MB). You can get PCI video cards but they are in the order of $50, and they offer much in the way of performance.

I also upgraded the processor on a computer of HPQ dc7100 CMT P4 640 Business Office, so it can also run a 64 bit OS. I tested it with W7 x 64 and got everything to work, but my son wanted to keep XP Pro 32 bit on it, so I revenue it back. I also had to add the ASUS 8400 GS video card so he could run the W7 Aero.

Looking for 64-bit drivers presented no major problems.

  • HP 1000-1433TU: LAN drivers for HP 1000 - 1433TU running Windows 7 64 bit

I will try to find the correct LAN drivers for a HP 1000-1433TU running Windows 7 64-bit model.  I tried a variety of drivers for this model on the HP site, including those for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, but none of them does not seem to install the drivers, I need to be able to connect directly to a Modem via an Ethernet cable.

This is a new installation of Windows 7, as I prefer it to Windows 8, and I also tried to install the Chipset Drivers (available only for Windows 8, but a necessary component!) before the LAN drivers, but still no luck.

At ran Windows Update to see if that can solve the problem, but again, without success.

Thank you very much in advance for a solution to this.

    Hello:

You should be able to use most of the drivers W7 64 bit on your model.  Do not use any BIOS or the files of the firmware of this model on your right.

  • Networking a laptop 64 bit Windows 7 with a desktop computer Windows Vista 64-bit

I have a Dell desktop running 64-bit Windows Vista with a USB connected HP Photosmart printer operating system.  My wife used to have a laptop with an XP operating system and we have had no problem sharing the printer.  Now she has a laptop (HP) laptop to Windows 7 64 bit and fails to print.

His laptop is connected wireless to Verizon FIOS router (wireless-g, I think).  I am connected by ethernet.

If I look at a map of the comprehensive network of my Vista PC I can see his laptop and explore appropriate records of (public) level on his hard drive.   Sharing my Vista PC and are discovery options: network discovery:; File sharing:. Public folder sharing:; Printer sharing:; Password protected sharing: Off; The media sharing: Off.  My Vista shows the home network as a WORKING group.

I use McAfee SecurityCenter and when I open the McAfee network map it also shows my wife's cell phone with its IP address.

On my wife's cell phone two PCs appear on the map of the comprehensive network of the window and it shows my PC IPv4, IPv6 and MAC address, but if I try to 'Open' from my PC to the icon on the map, I get an error message suggesting I be spelled the name wrong or there is a network problem (error code 0 x 80070035 the network path was not found).  I ran the diagnostic of the error dialog box and he suggested to "make sure that the device allows incoming connections for printing and file sharing", the windows firewall settings.  Its network card qualifies to the network TPEN1, identity, assigned to the Verizon router. It shows his laptop connected by a dotted line (wireless)? to TPEN1 which is connected to a switch.  My PC is also connected to the switch which in turn is connected by a bridge to the Internet.  Options advanced sharing his PC for the home or work (current profile) are set on: turn on the discovery network. Enable file sharing and printing; Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can read and write files in public folders;  Media streaming is disabled; Use 128-bit encryption to protect file sharing connections (recommended); Disable password protected sharing;  Use the user accounts and passwords to connect to other computers.

Its Norton Internet Security Network security map shows my PC as being in line with trust to full trust level.  It also shows the Swith and 2 generic devices with Shared Trust.

    So... anyone have any suggestions?

    Hello

    Maybe this can help.

    - ---------------------

This message looks like a long history because I don't know what is the level of knowledge of the user, and what has already been done.

The info goes through the motions of the configuration and verify most of the common aspects of the functionality of Windows OS' LAN.

    ----------------------

Win7 when configured on the peer-to-peer network has three types of configurations of sharing.

Group residential network = only works between Win 7 computers. This type of configuration, it is very easy to entry level users to start sharing network.

Working network = fundamentally similar to previous methods of sharing that allow you to control what, how and to whom the records would be shared with.

    Public share
= network Public (as Internet Café) in order to reduce security risks.

For the best newspaper of the results of each computer screen system and together all computers on a network of the same name, while each computer has its own unique name.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_name.jpg

Make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq#trusted
Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

Since you have a network with Win 7 and the other version of Windows, you must configure Windows 7 as work network.

In the center of the network, by clicking on the type of network opens the window to the right.

Choose your network type. Note the check box at the bottom and check/uncheck depending on your needs.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_type.jpg

    Win 7 - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Networking-home-computers-running-different-versions-of-Windows

Win 7 network sharing folder specific work - http://www.onecomputerguy.com/windows7/windows7_sharing.htm

Vista file and printer sharing - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727037.aspx

When you have finished the configuration of the system, it is recommended to restart everything the router and all computers involved.

    -------------

If necessary check specifically Permission/security settings.

Point to a folder that wants to share do right click and choose Properties.

    In the properties

Click on the Security tab shown in the bellows of the photo on the right) and verify that users and their permissions (see photo below Centre and left) are configured correctly. Then do the same for the authorization tab.

This screen shot is to Win 7, Vista menus are similar.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/permission-security.jpg

The Security Panel and the authorization Panel, you need to highlight each user/group and consider that the authorization controls are verified correctly.

When everything is OK, restart the network (router and computer).

Please note that the users and groups listed on the screen shoot are just an example. Your list will focus on how your system is configured.

    ---------------------

You should consider that many times the final solution could involve total uninstall of the 3rd party security Suits.

In this case, you can be set at the same level with installing Microsoft Security Essentials which are used in the applications of a native Vista/Win 7 firewall and AntiVirus/AntiSpyware.

  • Can't install or uninstall non-Windows and related Windows-related programs on the desktop of Windows 7 64 bit

Hi all, on Windows 7 64-bit PC brother Dell, tried to install programs such as AVG Anti Virus, Remote desktop connection update.

Every time we try what is installation hangs and nothing happens, to use the Task Manager to complete not only the program, if it is not there at all, but the actual process.

Same thing happens if we try to uninstall a program.

    Can uninstall in safe mode,

Have tried restore system to a time of ealrier, but the system does not want to do same.

At work after a few weeks, but since then without success.

    I ran SFC/scanow.

No Anti Virus is installed at present. that, like the program, I was able to uninstall in safe mode and using the Norton Uninstall tool.

Tried Mr FixIt, but nothing helped.

What else can I try before I go to the extreme of a new facility? Looks like a problem with the Windows Me installation program.

  • Software for Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager for 9630 (v 5.0.0.732) for Windows 7 (64-bit)

    Need help, please...

Still using BlackBerry Tour 9630 (and old version 5.0.0.732).

Just bought the new computer if moving to Windows XP (32-bit) running Office 2003 to Windows 7 (64-bit) running new Office 2013.

Is it possible to simply download Desktop Manager from the CD I received with the phone and make this work?

Yes, the phone is obsolete because I didn't want to part with them! Updates not taken for some time at the suggestion of Verizon and RIM, due to technical problems. I never thought that I would hold it long on the phone.

    A challenge, I know!

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you very much.

It would be better to open www.blackberry.com/desktop in your browser and download the latest version from here.

    See you soon.

  • I installed on a desktop Windows 7 (64-bit). I installed the relevant (hence HP inform me) driver for a HP 1022 printer.

I installed on a desktop Windows 7 (64-bit) and a HP1022 laserjet connected via USB.

I tried to print a jpeg file, but no printing occurred, however if I create a simple message test in WordPad it prints some time later.

The print queue seems to form OK (visible through the Panel, devices and printers), but the printer does not print.

I need to know what I should be looking at in Windows (or other) to correct problems - any offers on plausible solutions?

    Thanks a lot of impatience.

    HD

    Hi Michael,

I would be grateful if you could answer the following questions:
    1. you receive an error message when you try to print the JPEG file?
    2. this happens with all JPEG files?

Here are a few troubleshooting steps that you can try to solve this problem.

Method 1: Let's run the printer troubleshooter.

    Refer to this link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/open-the-printer-Troubleshooter

If the method above does not work, proceed to the next method.

Method 2: You can also try to change the format of JPEG image file and see if you can print. You can read the following steps to change the type of file in JPG format.

    a. right click on the file type.

    b. click on rename.

    c. replace the extension .jpg or .jpeg

    d. and then try to print.

After completing the methods suggested above, answer us with the State of the question.

  • HP Pavilion Desktop PC Windows 8 64-bit impossible to close p7-1102

I have a desktop HP Pavilion p7-1102, I bought with Windows 7. After upgrading to Windows 8, the will of the computer is more closed under any circumstances, it seems. I am currently running 64-bit Windows 8and before I was under Windows 7 64-bit. I did a clean install, I've upgraded to Windows 8 using an upgrade disc. Here is what I tried so far trying to get off the computer:

    • "Shut Down" in the menu of charms
    • "Restart" in the menu of charms
    • Now shift and pressing 'Stop' in the menu of charms
    • Now shift and press "Restart" in the menu of charms
    • Command prompt using "shutdown /s /t 00 '.
    • Disable the startup hybrid and all these retry

None of this has caused to the computer stop at all. I have also received no error messages, simply, the computer does nothing whenever I try to close it. Everything I can get the computer to do is put in hibernation. Everywhere I looked, I saw these options and they have not helped me to get my computer to shut down. There is nothing another wrong with my PC, I catch up updates Windows, have anti-virus protection and have had no other problems with Windows 8. This problem started to occur immediately after I've upgraded Windows 7 to Windows 8.

Does anyone know of any other methods that could help the computer is turned off? I am at a loss!

    Hello

If you have tried all the start fast and hybrid startup options, and then try this:

Take care to create a restore point before this step...

    1. Press Win + R and type Regedit = > click OK to open the registry editor
    2. Go to the following path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager
    3. Once opened, on the right side, look for entry ' BootExecute'. Double-click it.
    4. Delete all 'Value data' part and write the following in it:
autocheck autochk * , then press OK.
    5. Now, "RESTART" (do not click on SHUTDOWN) your computer

Once it reboots, press the STOP button and check if it works...
