Samsung SCX-4300, Windows 7, 64-bit printer problems

Our Samsung scx-4300 printer has stopped working. We have a desktop computer running windows 7, 64 bit.

Have already repeatedly deleted the printer, installed the last pilot, did a restore of sys, switch, ports but nothing seems to solve the prob. Today in desperation I even bought a cable newprinter, but alas, same old prob.

The mystery is this - the printer works fine when I connect it to our win - xp netbook.  Also, sometimes (on windows 7), it will print the first page then stop. Earlier than he usually just print the Greenlight on the printer flashes, but after 5 minutes the following is printed...

INTERNAL ERROR - Incomplete Session by time out

POSITION: 0XAA60 (43616)

SYSTEM: H6FW/os_hook

ONLINE: 1634

VERSION: QPDL 1.40 11/14/2005

I'm trying to print using PDF XChange Viewer and Word 2007. Once I sent the file to print, check the queue, it seems that 256 KB (for a file of 2 mg) was sent to the printer, but then he of the clogging. Very annoying. Wot2do?

Hello

Maybe this can help.

  • Acrobat 8 or 9 with Windows 7 64 bit - printing issue: new installation, upgrade to Vista.

Acrobat does not print using the PDF Converter.  I can print a PDF file on a conventional printer (not), but when you use printing > Adobe PDF as the printer selected, nothing happens. As a result, cannot make PDFs of web pages etc.  There is a problem reported by the AdobePDF.dll_64, during the installation.  I downloaded that separately and reached a complete reinstallation of 8 from Adobe, which previously worked perfectly on Vista.

    Try this first: http://www.sevenforums.com/software/2092-adobe-cs4-under-7-x64-pdf-printer.html

Error "the file AdobePDF.dll is needed..." "When you install Creative Suite 3 on 64-bit (Windows 7 64-bit) Windows Solution

Manually extract the 'adobepdf.dll_64 ' of the file data1.cab file before installing Acrobat. When the prompt appears, navigate to this file and select it.

    1. Navigate to the folder that contains the file setup.exe to your installation of Acrobat 8.
    2. Locate the file "data1.cab" and open it (this may require a third-party compression utility, such as WinZip).
    3. Inside the content list, locate the file "adobepdf.dll_64" and copy it to your desktop.
    4. Run the program setup.exe installation and when the prompt appears, select Browse and select the file that you copied to the desktop.
Note: If the file cannot be selected, change the file type drown down in the dialog box to "All files", or rename the file "adobepdf.dll" by removing "_64" from the end of the file extension.

    More information

Because the Adobe PDF printer is not supported on 64-bit operating systems, version 64 bits of the AdobePDF.dll does not get extracted during installation. So, the installation program is unable to locate him. Although Acrobat is installed, the Adobe PDF printer will not install. Following the update procedure above will address the issue.

  • Convert Pagemaker 7.0 files to PDF and cannot do without a PostScript for Windows 7 64 bit printer driver.

I am trying to convert Pagemaker 7.0 files to PDF and cannot do without a PostScript printer driver.

The driver on the PM installation disc will not install.

The driver is available on the Adobe Web site will not be installed.

HP support cannot help me. They directed me to Adobe.

Adobe technical support is no help at all unless I want to pay $140.00 to use the software that I have already purchased from them.

Where and how can I get a PostScript printer driver for my Windows 7 64 bit computer?

I'm under 64-bit Windows 8. There are a few options:

    1. in my case, I use Adobe Creative Suite CS3 as well. It comes with Adobe Acrobat 8.0, which must be upgraded to version 8.1.3 or about 64-bit support. This, however, works OK with PageMaker 7.0.

    2. There is a method using a printer driver called "imagesetter MS Publisher' which is actually Postscript and will do the job. You will need to do some research on it: I remember using this method when installing PM 7.0 under the preview release. I also noticed that there is a 'PS Microsoft class driver"Windows 8. Maybe it's worth a try.

    3. try a third free PDF writer. I have recommended Nitro Reader for some customers.

I keep only PageMaker to open the old client files, and anything but trivial changes, I migrate files to InDesign (which opens the MP files date back as far as PM6). You can be a better buy InDesign (if only an older version) and do the same thing - it is a much better program and PM is blowing out of the water.

  • Stuck on Windows 7 64 bit print queue. Tried everything, but no luck!

    Hi people,

My Windows 7 (64-bit) PC has decided to stop printing this morning to one of my printers. I followed him there down to a document stuck in queue to my HP Photosmart 5100 series. These are the things I've tried so far for the quarter...

    • Tried to remove the (only) document from the queue and tried to remove all THE documents in the case where it makes a difference. It just says: "error processing command.
    • I deleted the printer and added. All this achieved was to create a version of 'copy 1' of the printer. Even if the old printer icon disappeared, Windows seemed to remember that the document has been put on hold, and therefore would not release the original name for the re - use.
    • Stopped and restarted the SPOOLER service and tried to delete the document inbetween.
    • Checked the file C:\windows\ system32\spool\printers, but it was empty.
    • Tried to connect the printer to a laptop - it printed fine, so I know that the hardware is OK.

Please, if please, please help me get rid of this document of thugs, as this means that I can not print anything to one of my printers. There must be a place that contains the details of the document - I just need it has flushed out. Any ideas would be warmly welcome! Thank you.

As a result of this thread, I wanted to just people to know that I finally solved the problem. It is a large number of software removal and reinstall the drivers from the HP website several times. Difficult to ensure that what finally did the trick, but now resolved thanks.

Say the HP support? Often with an HP printer, the solution the easiest is to unplug the printer, uninstall the HP printer via Add/Remove, runDisk cleaning software and restart. Then download/install latest drivers/software from HP and only connect the printer when the installation says.

Of course its possible allways the printer failed.

  • Laptop MSi S6000 Windows 7 (64-bit) wireless problem. Wireless turns off after fashion "Eve" and unable to understand how to change the settings.

I own a notebook computer MSi S6000 Windows 7 (64-bit). My problem is that any time that my laptop's sleep mode (when I close the lid or after inactivity) wireless connection is cut off the coast and in some cases the wireless card is cut. I end up turning on the wireless card with the

Function key F8 and then have to reconnect with my wireless network.

After "standby" mode, I have to reconnect to the wireless network (without turning on the map).

I have tried a number of measures to address this problem including uncheck the button 'turn off this device to save power' in the properties and made sure that my laptop ALWAYS connects to the network by making the #1 on the priority list and checking the connection to this network even when it is not being broadcast.

Yet I still couldn't remedy this solution.

Please help if you can. I appreciate your time in advance... happy new 2011!

  • BSOD - Windows 7 64-bit VM problems

    People of greetings,

My apologies if this is a basic question / repeated. Am a newbie and trying to work my way through the implementation of a virtual machine for my new PC at home. Looked through a number of other threads (in addition to searches on Google) and decided to publish it after I couldn't know the answer.

    What I did:

    1. download the latest version of vCenter Converter Standalone Client (v4.3) and installed on my desktop computer HP with 8 GB of RAM and 1.5 to SATA HDD with Windows 7 64 - bit OS. The detailed specifications for desktop can be found at http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/series/category/desktops/HPE450t_series/3/computer_store

    2. created a P2V image with default options with the tracking changes by the limitations of the converter physical version - CPU reduced to 2 of 8 logic/4 physical - and 1 GB of RAM. A took about five hours to create the virtual machine on a joint Seagate FreeAgent external hard drive connected via USB

3 downloaded the latest version of VMware Player (v3.1.3) and installed on HP desktop computer. Copy the virtual image of the external Hardrive to Seagate FreeAGent to a folder on the HP desktop computer. Pulled up the player and changed to 4 processors and RAM 3 GB since the player provides for this.

    The problem:

The VM loads and gets to the point where the spheres of four color converge during the boot sequence. And then a BSOD that flashes by quickly and goes to a BACK screen with two options - Windows repair and start Windows normally

Selection of the "start Windows normally ' returns you to the same place, that is to say." a closed loop

Selection of "Repair Windows" does not help because I do not have the Windows 7 installation disc (HP does not ship disks to the Windows operating system and recovery disks don't seem to help with this) as the virtual machine does not seem to access

    The Ask:

How can I capture the BSOD details to validate the error code - turned quick snap capture my eyes indicate that it is the error 7 b

Recommendations to address this issue seem to suggest a change to the entries in the SCSI VMX file but my VMX has none of these entries. My VMX file is attached for review.

Would appreciate suggestions/tips/links that will help me to solve the problem

PS: I tried initially to go down the road of Windows Virtual PC where I learned that Windows 7 64-bit is not a guest operating system, but I still have the virtual hard drive during this activity. The virtual hard disk was created using the utility DISK2VHD. Thought I would mention where it is customary.

    ide0:0. Present = 'TRUE '.
    ide0:0. FileName = "HP450t.vmdk".
    ide0:1.present = 'TRUE '.
    ide0:1.AutoDetect = "FALSE".
    ide0:1.filename = "E:".
    ide0:1.DeviceType = "cdrom-raw"

    That's what you have now.

    We change that to

    bios.bootDelay = "5000".
    scsi0. Present = 'true '.
    scsi0.virtualDev = "lsisas1068".
    scsi0:0. Present = 'true '.

    IDE1:0. DeviceType = "cdrom-image".
    IDE1:0. FileName = "windows7-64 - recovery.iso.
    IDE1:0.startConnected = 'TRUE '.

the next time you start, you need to hit ESC - and then select CD as the boot device.

Leave the boot CD and escape any questions

After the initialization is complete, click CMD and run regedit.
Select HKLM, then Menu > file > load hive.
Navigate to the Windows directory on the virtualdisk > system32\config and select the file SYSTEM.
When asked for a name enter p2v.
    Then find the key

    HKLM\p2v\ControlSet001\services\LSI_SAS

go to the 'start' subkey and the departure of type REG_DWORD 0
Select HKLM\p2v, and then click Menu > file > unload hive.
You can now close regedit and restart.

After that CD-boot the next time should go to hard drive - use safe-boot on the first boot.
    most likely, it works now.

  • HP Laser Jet 1018 for Windows 8, 64-bit, printer intermittently fails

I don't know if the problem is my computer or printer

I have a new 64-bit of Windows 8 and the Laser Jet 1018 printer

The printer does not print, but at the printer will not print and the red light blinks.

Turning the printer off and turning it back on do not always resolve the problem - which does not solve the problem that I'm not sure, because it will start printing again after a number of failed attempts.

Is there a problem with 64-bit Windows 8 and print driver?

Warning triangle light Orange or red flashes a when of lightning, but I was not able to find a list that tells me that the sequence means or indicates

  • HP LaserJet 1018 on Windows 7 / 32 bit: printer will not print

My HP LaserJet 1018, running off my Acer laptop with Windows 7 Pro 32 bit, stopped working without known reason.

I did the following to try to resolve the problem:

    * Check the cables and connections. These work, I think. Shoes printer green light.

    * I deleted the spoooler of local print.

    * I tried the troubleshooting feature.

    * I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer with the HP disk.

    * I rebooted the computer and the printer several times.

    * I have updated the latest version of the software on the HP site.

None of the above seems to work.

When I open a document and select print, it says that the printer is ready (Green Tick).

However, it does not print even if the printer is connected and the green light on the printer itself is a steady green.

When I check the icon of the printer on the bottom of my screen, it says that there are no print jobs in the queue.

My last resort is now going through a new cable or call a computer scientist on the spot. I work for myself and really don't want to bear the cost.

    Any suggestions? Advice?

    Thank you!

Thanks a lot 8lives for getting back to me.

I managed to solve the problem in the last hour or two.

    That's what I did:

    * Cable USB purchased and attached

    * In the Windows devices and printers, I chose to remove the HP printer

In the programs I uninstalled a PDF printer at random, I found

In programs, I uninstalled the HP printer and enabled the computer restarts

To restart the computer, the computer recognized and installed an HP printer and USB port without putting me the drive back in, and the printer worked.

That may help a user in the future.

But thanks again for your response, it is appreciated.

This printer is circa 2003 and I think the best you can hope for is to use an older driver in compatibility mode 7 win
