HOW TO FIX YOUR DV6000/DV9000/DV2000

All the problems described in the previous posts are graphics related...
Defective Nvidia chip... Intel and AMD based motherboards... Although it is most common on the AMD...

The symptoms of the computer laptop turn on/off and cutting repeatedly... Or... Turn on/off and having no video... Or... Power strip lights, beeps, stops... Or... No power at all... Or... Intermittent Wireless and video Goes in and Out/Touchpad loss slows and freezes...

To resolve this problem, you must redistribute the graphics chip.

I explain in Full detail regarding the good method below.

Video chip reflow instructions HP DV2000/DV6000/DV9000 Compaq v2000

First step is full of parts and components dismantling...
Remove RAM, CPU remove, of course remove radiator and fan.

Next step is isolating the motherboard... You need for area protect the processor, RAM, hood no port of Cap plastic.

Try to leave the area of 1/4 inch around the edge of the chip without insulation.

To isolate the Council... I use thick pieces of Tin/aluminium, you can bend aluminum foil (tin foil) on 4 thick folds...

Now that you have your motherboard isolated... Do nothing flammable or flammable below the motherboard there course... it will get very warm below.

You will need a heat gun... You can get them at your Local home improvement store, they cost about $15 - $30... You will use ONLY the LOW setting... I REPEAT... USE ONLY THE LOW SETTING...

You must then some coins... Yes the coins...
8 quarters and Nickels 2... Putting Nickels on the bottom 2 and quarter-stack on top...
Place the stack of 2 Nickels and 8 quarters on top of the graphics chip...

The reason to use parts: parts serves a few purposes...
(1) it helps transfers heat slowly in the chip more evenly.
(2) it helps maintain the heat over a long time/Then helps cool more slow
(3) give the right amount of weight and should be supported on the chip

One thing to pay attention to the...

Hewlett Packard is nutorious for the use of epoxy RED around the edge of the graphics chip... This epoxy coating is used to help secure the chip on the motherboard...
It is a process that is made in-house by hand... And some boards will have only a little amount of this, some will be have a lot of it... And some are only made on the corner of edges...

If there is a lot of this on your chip, you could end Up requiring to carefully (REAL CAREFULLY) remove as much of the epoxy as capable of... You can use a razor blade to lightly scrape this Off... NOT TO BE MISSED AND SCRATCH THE MOTHERBOARD! Go SLOWLY...

Now comes the chip heating...

Start with the heat gun about 6 inches from the top of the stack of quarter... You want to be holding the gun at a 45% angle... Aiming heat at the edge of the chip, you will start turning around the chip - around the outer edge of the chip... then use circles more tight focusing on the battery of the watch, and then after about 30-40 seconds, slowly move closer to the chip...
Never move the Heat Gun more near the top edge of the battery of your room... Then he pull back and repeat slowly. The chip must become hot enough to melt the solder balls on the underside of the graphics chip down the pads of Contact on the motherboard... and it takes quite a lot of heating to... Do not OVERHEAT the chip... It's better for her Underheat and have to redo... than to the overheating... This will cause the weld to break towards the low and even crack/split... the original failure forever...
This process will take about 3 minutes total. Once you cut your heat gun... Leave the pieces on the chip stack and let sit for another 5 minutes...

Now remove the corners (carefull, they might still be hot)
Remove all insulation... Reinstall the RAM, CPU, heatsink and fan (and of course heat Pads or stick...) Note:. If the dough is used... It takes the dough of money...

Now you can connect the power button bar / video cable and the DC Jack cable... And taken AC adapter... You are now ready to Test the video and solid food...

    Hello!

Do you mean before the touchpad mouse left button or tap on the touchpad function?

The listen function must be activated first. This means click on the left button of the mouse TouchPad.
Go to control panel > mouse > device settings > settings > Tapping. There you can check if the function is enabled or not.

  • HP Pavilion dv6000 will not contribute to that.

I have a HP Pavilion dv6000 for some years, and suddenly, he will supply any.  I don't know that something happens at all when I press the power button.  What's weird is that when I connect the power, the LED AC (the one with the lightning bolt above it) lights and stays on for 30 seconds and then turns off.  During this time and afterwards, not at all, the lights, and the computer will not power.  I tried to remove the battery and power cord and holding the button power for 45 seconds, several times, but nothing is working.  I hope you can offer some tips on things to try.

    Thank you

    Zach

I made a breakthrough!  When I took the screen out, I also unplugged the inverter Board who joined the power to the LCD screen.  I plugged the AC and tried the power button, but it does not turn on.  While I would not lose the Commission, I plugged into the computer.  Before my eyes, the computer began to market.  At this point, I was able to switch to an external display (using Fn + F4) and I was good to go.  Bottom line is, if you have a laptop series dv which only lights up with a broken screen, remove and the inverter Board, plug AC in the reatattch of the Council of the inverter.

Now, this won't probably solved most of the problems you guys are, but it fixed mine, then I'll call the expressions of folklore on this one.

    Thank you

  • Satellite U400 will not usually start upward

    Hi all

    I have a Toshiba Satellite U400-217 (PSU44E) running Windows 8.

Worked fine until a week ago. Now, when I turn it on, the lights are, there is a memory hard drive spin (1 second) - and then nothing. Above the keyboard lights stay on, but the screen remains black.

I read a use Reset where you take the battery and the power cable on and press and hold power for 30 seconds, then plug the power cable in, starting at the top, stop, reinsert the battery and start again.

However, the machine still primer not after 30 seconds the hold button. I always get just the lights and nothing else.

However, the machine will start usually fine on an attempt to out all 30 or more.

It's boring - ideas or suggestions very welcome.

    Thank you very much

In my opinion, you should first check the HARD drive
A friend of mine installed Win 8 on the new computer laptop from another manufacturer
After a while that the laptop will not start I thought its something wrong with the card mother, but in the end it was just a HARD drive failure

To be honest I n don't know if his only problem disk HARD but in my opinion, the HARD drive is one of the first pieces that need to be checked
OK, in the worst case, it could be possible that dysfunction of this mobo.

During installation and during boot after installation, the yellow, both initialization screen installation and startup stops at "Vmkernel loaded successfully" and will not go ahead until what I hit any key on the keyboard. Once you press a button, everything is moving along well. I even tried to start after installation without a keyboard in and it stops at the same place. Once the keyboard is plugged in, it starts right. It is a PS2 Keyboard. Will try and low rev bios once and try a USB keyboard, but was curious if anyone had seen this before? Thank you!

It would probably help if you reinstalled Windows, but this is a drastic measure and almost certainly useless to take in response to this error.

When you restart the print spooler, it immediately turning off or only when you try to print?

Assuming that you have an up-to-date antivirus application and have recently scanned withMalwareBytes Antimalware and SUPERAntiSpyware as you are reasonably confident that your computer is free of malware, the most likely reasons for the print spooler not running are a corrupt print job stuck in the queue or a damaged printer driver.

Original title: BACKUP WINDOWS FOR MAINTENANCE

Why don't my backup to a blank disc or an external hard drive?

    Hello

    ·         What operating system do you use?

    ·         You get the error message?

    ·         Windows backup that you are using?

    ·         Are you able to perform a backup to internal hard drive?

    ·         Were there any changes made on the computer before the show?

Follow these methods and check if that helps:

    Method 1:

You can try to clean boot in order to check whether a third-party software is causing a problem.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Note: Don't forget to reset the computer to start as usual, once the problem is resolved. Follow step 7 of the KB article.

    Method 2:

You can try temporarily turning on all security software and then try the updates again.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • Vista Service Pack 2 will not ' cold' start

I have a Dell Studio 1737 I bought last week. Windows Vista Service Pack 2 update offered. I selected it and ran through the upgrade. He completed all 3 steps and rebooted. Seems to work very well. I turned off the laptop and went to bed.

This morning, the laptop complete the power on self test and went to boot Vista. Nothing for 20 minutes then a warning to the blue screen. He himself deleted before that I could read what caused the BSOD and then tried a reboot. Black screen for 20 minutes with no hard disk activity. Manually, I forced a stop down and loaded the boot menu. Choose the Startup Repair. After 30 minutes, advised by the screen to try a restore to an earlier version running. It took another hour, but it worked.

Update Windows SP2 offered again. Thinking that it may have been an installation failed, tried again. Downloaded and installed SP2, these three steps successfully completed. Yet once computer rebooted (hot start) and did fine. Shut down the system and restarted (cold boot). Same results! MESSAGE completed and handed over to Vista SP2 and then black screen. Took me another 90 minutes, but I restored it to Vista SP1, now it works well.

So I can run Vista Home Premium 64 bit SP1 without problem but SP2 does not work?

Update looking for a 64-bit SP2 or just blindly offer software?

I think that Microsoft is using me as a Guinea pig.

I'm supposed to receive a DVD of Windows 7 from Dell, in an upgrade. I am wary to install it now since SP2 does not work yet. I was so angry, I jumped out early without digging further, but now I think I might very well be better to stay with SP1 and jump more "updates" unless someone can tell me what is happening here.

How SP1 can be compatible, but SP2 is not?

And if all you can afford is a response of canned paste, boiler, don't waste your time. All it will do is make me madder.

Apparently, offered to customers by Windows Update SP2 update is NOT a complete or is not 64-bit capable.

    UH - huh...

Office worked well on 20 January, until the update when you restart it should start going to black screen with cursor. I tried to fix it, but it does not work. I tried the system restore to an earlier date but gives the error. Does anyone have ideas, which is false.

    Thank you

    Lisa,
At this point if you have a way to back up your data, I suggest that do you so as soon as possible.  Start the XP that you have installed.  Then copy all your data from the original Windows folder to an external drive or a DVD.

Then, to try to make this repair, boot from the XP disc and select the recovery option.  This will start you in the recovery console prompt.  From there, you can then run the commands to replace the sam file.  Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

Correct it and troubleshooting of the Control Panel did not help either.

you did not mention the corruption of the media.

First do a format with nero/InCD successfully. Then try to Win 7. If it still does not work then the Win 7 software writing could be faulted not before that. If Nero fails also, then you will be safe from corrupt media.

If possible use InCD I propose that it sometimes generates a quantity of bad sector also report in full formatting the drive.

Direct format is a unique feature & use all the bytes of the media so if a small part is damaged or badly appeared then it will fail.
