HP DV6500 breaks down, horizontal lines

We're having a problem with our laptop HP DV6500 running Windows Vista, where it crashes and all you see are horizontal lines on the screen. Here is a list of things we tried to fix problems where is the problem, can anyone interpret this list what the problem might be or something else, we can try to identify the problem?

s ' crash on the battery and the AC adapter / CC
-Update bios, drivers, has run the antivirus updates, downloaded windows, done system restore, plant still
-When it hangs, music freezes as well, so I think it means that it is not just the video card
n ' a not crash when it starts up and runs away from norton antivirus CD
-rebooted and took the CD linux, crashed on linux
-removed/replaced battery and RAM, still crashes
-verification of hard drive full no problem

So the status of my HP got worse, now it keeps restarting.  I checked around forums and I think I found the solution:

http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/other-notebook-PC-questions/HP-dv6000-won-t-complete-start-up/TD-p/30773

I'm going to reflow the graphics chip and post my results.  If you are not comfortable with opening your laptop and completely dissassembling, I would call HP and check to see if it is a model or product numbers that they will fix for free.  Its a known bug.

  • HP EliteBook 8440p: white horizontal lines on the screen who retreat down in the minute

Hi again. I've already posted about this so there are pictures and a full description of my post a few days ago. In short, when the laptop was arrested or sleep for more than a few hours, it is white horizontal lines on the lower part of the screen that slowly fade completely down. The lines do not appear on an external monitor in dual mode.

I removed the screen twice now and checked / reinstall connections to the screen and under the keyboard. The problem persists.  I flashed the BIOS a few days ago and the problem persists. The webcam, microphone and WWAN/WLAN are all in perfect condition and the computer works fine apart from this problem of screen work.

Until I drop the most money on this used laptop that is my only question at this point sounds as strictly a matter of cable/display on the screen? If it's a motherboard problem I would see other problems? If it is the graphics card goes wrong I would see other problems? As I said, the computer works perfectly once it is running.

    Anyone has any useful ideas?

    Hello

You can try to connect this unit to an external monitor to check if there is a problem with the motherboard or display

If the external monitor works fine, then there is no problem with the motherboard, only the display panel needs replacement.

If the problem persists in the external monitor, suggest you to update the graphics drivers and see if the problem resolves

    I hope this helps

Cleaning the contacts has not solved the problem. The links provided by Gemini02 did not have instructions to manually clean the print head. Found cleaning tips at http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/inkjet/66927. Removed print head and whistled down head in a shallow bowl of nearly boiling water for 20 seconds. Ink out of head when you do. Buvardages print head dry lint (if the ink drops on electrical contacts, clean it with damp cloth before you put the head in printer). Replaced the head on the print page print quality and printer. Problem solved!

  • Horizontal lines and more

I have a Mac OS X 10.7.5 who suddenly developed a problem with horizontal lines covering the screen and a strong vertical line on the right side (see pix). Sound will always continue if a video is playing, mouse and Tracker will answer but not affect anything (not open, close or move anything). The only thing that solves the problem is to power down. When I turn on the rear, there is a party in question. This has, however, happened twice in the last week... a little concerning that I use my computer in my lectures. I looked at different positions, but none seem to match up with this type of horizontal issue. All the ideas that do not involve me go to the Apple Store? (pathetic bank account)

If someone answers, please use simple as much as possible terms, as I am just an archaeologist. I enter data, download and upload pix and videos, get the computer skills needed... not one of extremely competent computer people.

Yes, you will need it dumb down for me.

    Thank you.

What year/model of Macbook. This happens no matter if you are using an external monitor when there lines? If so, it could be your graphics card.

  • 50L4353DB LCD TV - black horizontal line and picture blurry

50L4353DB LCD TV - a horizontal black line picture travel and causing blur.

This problem started tonight on our Toshiba TV, which is two years old next month.

A black horizontal line on the screen and the image moves and down makes it really hard to read subtitles and so on.

Connected all the cables out, tv by using the reset menu, still no good.

    Help appreciated.

    David

just to update. The line is not really black. It is the a lighter shade that color is displayed on the screen. When I brought the menu upwards on the screen, he seems to appear at the edge but not otherwise visible. The online search could be the regulator of T.

  • Horizontal lines KDL - 32 L 4000

32 "Bravia (model KDL - 32L 4000) shows a flaw of the horizontal line across the screen, about 1/3 down from the top of the LCD screen. After 15 minutes of on time the image below the line becomes nervous and not. Research on the defence of the interests of the consumer and technical forums suggests this is not an uncommon problem with this particular model, and the LCD screen is faulty and must be replaced. However, it seems to be part of 700 US dollars, which is twice the price of a new 32 '' LCD TV. We have owned two Sony tube TVs, the older one lasted more than 13 years, but the latest model of tube went after only three years (flyback meltdown). So, we are disappointed that this barfed LCD TV only after 30 months. It seems that Sony TV products become less reliable, until the brand doesn't mean anything any more. Sony has all the options for this TV? It would certainly go a long way toward restoring based on brand and convince us to buy Sony TV products in the future.

I am VERY disappointed to see that the (the appearance of horizontal strips) problem with my TV is very common and apparently is more difficult than for the purchase of a new TV. Really, Sony? Most of our electronic devices are Sony and we were big believers until the death of our three year old TV. THREE YEARS? Terrible!

I'll call customer tomorrow. It is simply unacceptable for an old TV three year throw the bucket...

  • HP 15 laptop: flickering horizontal line at the top of the screen

Hi, I bought this laptop 10 months ago and its been great until about a month ago. A month ago the hard drive doesn't work faster (Super slow r/w) and is noisy. 2 days ago a horizontal line at the top of the screen started flashing when I started the PC. Then I rebooted a few times and nothing. I finally found it flashes only when the pc is unplugged. I loaded 100% and it continues to blink. Update my display drivers did not help either.

    Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zJioGvs2Bg

In the video you can see lines flicker. When he started there was only one, but it has gradually increased to 4 sound at this time. Also, the line crosses the screen completely but is no longer visible to these 4 points.

  • HP probook 450 G2: flickering horizontal lines on the screen while watching the video after water damage

    Hello

My father accidentally threw a glass of cola on my computer, on my keyboard. I was able to turn my laptop upside down very quickly and went out of the battery. I then let dry for 24 hours. At first glance the damage seemed limited to my keyboard that I already replaced. Everything else seems to work very well (sound, touchpad, usb ports, hdmi, dvd drive port) until I watched a video. Flickering horizontal lines appeared in the background, which are only slightly visible. Lines do not appear when I'm surfing the internet, playing games, or when I do no matter what other casual stuff. I also don't see any flickering lines when I connect to my laptop to an external display.

Does anyone have an idea on what the problem might be and what parts can I replace to fix this?

The unit to boot BIOS and check if you get all the lines. If you don't get all the lines in the BIOS screen,

then update the BIOS and chipset. But if the problem persists then you must send it to the service.

  • Shows HP LaserJet 3330 horizontal lines exactly each 1.5 "when you print a completely blank page

HP LaserJet 3330 shows seven or eight approximately 3.5 "cloudy horizontal lines spaced exactly each 1.5" even when you print a completely white page. This also happens when copy and fax.

There are also 2 very thin vertical lines running down the entire page about in the middle. They are exactly 1 "apart.

However, a scan of a blank page on my computer (not printed) is perfectly clean.

Windows 7. No change or upgrade.

Propbably the toner cartridge, if they are 1.48 "apart that it could be the cylinder in the process of development or the charge roll who are both in the toner cartridge. So a good assumption if you replace the toner cartridge, the problem will disappear. Vertical lines could also be part of this issue.

  • horizontal lines when printing photos

I have an Officejet Pro 8600. When I print photos I threw 3 lines horizontal light through the photos on 1/4, 1/2 & 3/4 to the bottom of each photo. I changed to the best print quality and personalized and always get the lines.

I would like to look at this here document that addresses the issues of print quality for your printer model.  As soon as you select your operating system, so that it will drop down give information on how to address the shortcomings of production for the printer.  Down on this page, it will be an example of a picture with horizontal lines. From there, it will tell you how to solve the problem.  Once the solutions you mentioned to change the print settings. But there are other things to try listed after this one. I hope this helps.

  • Inspiron 14 3420 - crashes and random horizontal lines poster model

I bought the Laptop Inspiron 14 3420 in December 2012. I am facing some problems of display on this laptop, it hangs and displays patterns of horizontal lines (like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOjTK4ic1E8) and it happens randomly and not always.
It happened a few months before and then automatically slipped, I thought that this could have happened due some application installation. But now its past very frequently, I don't know what is the cause.
I tried to change and update drivers display for both integrated Intel card graphics and Nvidia graphics card, but the problem is still there.
I tried Googling this problem and found that this could be the problem of Nvidia graphics card, so I have disabled this card from the Device Manager, but it does not solve the problem.
Can you please help me solve this problem

    Hi mominbilal,

Try to release the residual charge of the system. Here are the steps:

    • Disconnect all external devices (printers, external hard drives, flash drives) on the computer, including the battery and the AC adapter / CC.
    • Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds.
    • Reconnect the battery and the AC adapter / CC. Try to restart the computer and check.

In addition, run 'Diagnostics' on the system to confirm the operation of the equipment. Here are the steps:

    • Restart the system and immediately start typing on the "F12" key to enter the "Boot Menu".
    • Press the "Down arrow" to select the option 'Diagnostics '. Press the enter"" key.
    • The diagnostics begin. Please note the exact error message / code, if everything appears on the screen.
    • You can also view the video on the link http://dell.to/17DCL0R for more information.

Check also if there is no problem with the LCD display by running LCD BIST (Built in self test). To run the LCD BIST, press in and hold the D key on the keyboard while pressing the power button, then release both buttons at the same time. This will launch a screen gray, then red, then blue, then green then white, to allow you to inspect the entire LCD to the purity of the color on each screen and to better identify defects such as cracks on the LCD screen or stuck pixels which is perhaps not obvious in normal display mode.

Try to connect the system to an external monitor when the issue appears to happen again if the issue reappeared on screen external source or not. This will help us to further isolate the issue.

Please answer with the information, I'll be happy to help you further.

  • Problem Super complicated with rendering (horizontal lines occur in my final output)

So my problem is sort of double.

    1. I create some graphics kinetic typography in AE CS6 for a customer, and when I go the Compositions of the hand, my output file is stretched.  I can't understand why this is happening.  The parameters of my computer are 1920 x 1080 D1/DV NTSC widescreen (1.21), 29.97 Drop Frame (although I changed these settings to try to solve this problem and, "no dice").  Don't forget that I have other comps in main compositions which have completely different parameters.  Some of them are calibrated at 4000 x 4000.

I rendered out as a QuickTime codec 'Animation' 1920 x 1080 (although I changed these settings several times also in an attempt to solve the problem and still "no dice") the output video is always extended.  When I format the output for H.264, I get a caveat which reads the incompatibility of settings.

I found a solution, however.  I drag the media encoder and output format as QuickTime ProRes 422 (or that, is not serious, still get the same problem), deinterlaced, 1920, 29.97, field order: first superior, appearance D1/DV NTSC widescreen 16:9 (2.2121).  Stretching issue fixes, but now I have these horizontal line that occur during the time when there is movement.  I have set all the parameters I mentioned several times and I can't understand why he did this.

Can anyone help with this problem.

Notice that your comp says always personalized. This means that you have changed something. You should always use the presets.

The size of the image does not change because EI is pixel based. In the Composition Panel, if you enable view correcting the format of pixels so you would see the form of the change of model window. For example, when you view a DV (standard non square pixels) in perfect circles of Viewer Comp are oval until you put on pixel aspect ration correction in the Viewer. The number of pixels remains the same. Non square pixels were designed as a way to get digital data on digital broadcasting at a rate reduced data so that digital television would work. For example, a standard TV has a 4:3 and 486 scan image report lines. with the information of the visible image. The standard DV is 720 X 480 pixels. They cut the first 2 and down 4 scan lines because they were in the region of overscan and not visible to most of the viewers for broadcasters filled with missing persons aligns black because it is easy to compress, and then they did the format of the pixels, which is the conversion of a digital bit of information in time for an analogue electron beam moving on the screen at a fixed rate would put 720 of them on a line scan keep the image distorted and circles still circles. Make sense? At the time, it's all digital cameras faster and digital video might work. Now he's okay and nothing is broadcast in the United States in non square pixels. Only still DVD rely on pixels not square to the video of the reading. Same reason is as much information as you could successfully and reliably remove a DVD at the same time the standard was written.

There is absolutely no reason to never work except non square pixels so absolutely, you know exactly what you do and why you do it. AE and all other NLE will automatically adjust images of non square pixels fit in a project of pixels square without distortion.

Probably more than you wanted to know, but now you do. The reason for which only conceivable that someone would never made it or implement a master comp with non square pixels would be they should send the rendering in a digital format that accepts only non square pixels. IOW, if you have an old camera DV DV cassette and a way to digitize that digitally (which has not been manufactured for about 8 or 10 years) and you absolutely have to create a digital format DV master so that you can transfer this basic to the DV tape form digitally (no record) so that you have a digital copy of the video recorded on a format that only people with antiquated equipment can read using only that material so that you do not want to use the DV project (any format of X 720 in the menu drop down) from the beginning in Finnish. In my humble OPINION, all of these formats should be average at the bottom of the list so that a note should be that it is not deprecated square formats to use with caution.

When I click on the file and you start typing, all I see is a straight horizontal line. Thanks in advance for your advice!

You should use a high resolution image. Increase the font size. The drop down menu to end at 72, but you can enter a value manually. Try 100 or 150 to start.
