HP DV6t (B6C70AV) ENVY: which is 3.o usb port in my book!

Hey, can you tell me which is port 3.o. Until you say check SS or 3.o brand (I've already strained me eye seeks not), he did not, so you can tell me if my laptop is bluetooth compatible? If you could provide the link of specification for my product, it would be great.

Concerning

See pages 18 and 19 of the manual here for a diagram.

Manual

The only usb port that isn't 3.0 is more backward on the right side next to the power adapter plug.

Yours is a CTO (Custom custom) model and may or may not have Bluetooth as it is configurable by the user and bluetooth would have been an added value option.

  • HP Envy 15 1195eo problem of USB Ports!

I am facing a problem with my usb ports on my HP Envy 15 1195eo. I tried a number of things to make them work, but nothing did. Basically, when I connect a usb device, it will connect, stay tuned for a very few seconds, then disconnect for a few seconds and then connect for a few seconds again, and he repeats like that of infinity. So I'd like prompting assistance works again!

    News of the computer:

    Model: HP Envy 15-1195eo

    OS: Windows 7 64-bit

    Hello again Unboxeremail.

That solves the problem at the origin?  This can be useful information.

I took a look inside the laptop and noticed three ports (2 ports standard right) USB and eSATA/USB port a combination on the left, what port is non-functional?  In addition, the image of the motherboard indicates that the USB ports are not on a panel separated from the motherboard so a connection problem is very unlikely here.

Do you have a multimeter?  Check the USB port to see if the connection is down at random would check it like a hardware problem.

If the problem persists after a new installation of Windows, then this indicates a hardware problem.  This laptop is guaranteed?  You can see here.  If it is under warranty, you should contact HP support and let them know about the issue. • Put Windows 7 on hp envy 17 Quad t - now USB no longer works!

    Hello

I just got a HP Envy 17 Quad t, which came with Windows 8 on it.  I'm not a fan of him, so I installed Windows 7 instead.  After installation do not work many things, as expected, but I was able to install drivers windows 7 for them and got all the functions that have been lost so far, I have noticed to rework except my USB ports.  I tried two different drivers of these boards with no joy.  If someone has the right driver, so I can get USB up and running would be extremely appreciated!

    Thank you

    Max

OK, was able to fix it myself after a few hours of really messing around.  (I'm not a computer guy, so this announcement to other experts).

First of all, I went on the Intel site and updated the chipset driver, once again.  This fixed the problem of Bus SM.

Second, I had to find the driver 5227 RTS for the card reader from RealTek PCIE, which I couldn't find on the site from RealTek but through multiple searches on Google using the portion of the id of material only up to '... in the end 5227."it's strange, because another driver RealTek PCIE card reader worked before Win7 updates, but that even the driver did NOT work thereafter.

Then he got even more bizarre, to me at least.  The I need drivers were all there in Device Manager, no more yellow triangles, but I plugged my external hard drive on a USB port on the right side of my computer and nothing.  The way in which my office is set up I really only use this side.  Exasperated I tried the USB port on the left with another device.  Alto!  It took.  I had to plug my external hard drive in the left side first and could then unplug and install it on the right side and it worked.  No idea why it would need with one side first, then don't work both sides.  I waited a long time when I plugged it on the right side first before trying the left where he recognized immediately, then immediately recognized on the right after that.

How to do on my MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inch, mid-2014), which has only a headphone audio input port? Do Garageband, or Preferences/audio, or Audioand MIDI or what?

Connect an audio interface to a USB port to have an audio input, or insert a divider entry in the headphone port. You need additional hardware to have an audio input.

  • HP Envy x 360 (M1V68UA): USB Ports all failed - resembled HW failure, but resolved by reinstalling a driver

This post is an explanation of the complete absence of the laptop (2.0 & 3.0) USB ports and the later hotfix.

Suspecting a hardware failure, I ran the Diagnostics UEFI and received confirmation of a default by a character 27 failure code.  This type of information is supposed to be useful to someone, but I couldn't find any documentation on this failure on the Web code and technician HP customer care has never offered an explanation.  The ID of the failure, I received was:

    0GF87X-7NW88A-GXGJMF-8D3Q03

I made arrangements to ship the laptop to HP repair, but while waiting to receive their shipping box, I continued to research.  I happened to run System Mechanic from iolo and noticed a tool "Toolbox |" Recover | Troubleshooting of the system"that took me as a result of convenience store window 10.  I ran the hardware and devices troubleshooter, and confirmed a problem with the USB ports.  But, surprisingly, the fix was to install the latest driver for the Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible host controller (USBXHCI. (SYS).

Once the driver has been reinstalled, the USB port problem has been resolved.  He worked for 3 days and I was able to back up my laptop on an external hard drive into a USB port, as I usually do.

So if you see a problem with your USB ports, which can resemble a hardware failure, it is better running of the utility window hardware & peripheral troubleshooting.  It can save you an unnecessary repair work.

    Best regards, Mike

As I understand it you had conducted a test of material using the UEFI diagnostic tool and received a failure ID, however, you install the latest driver and solved the problem.

I'm glad that worked for you, even if you keep the only common, the ID of the failure you captured represents a "Communication error" device on devices such as GPS, switch and/or USB, HUB, Modem, network card, network drive, PCI, PCMCIA card.

Install the most recent driver is one of the first steps to solve the communication error, however, if the problem is intermittent because it sometimes a repair would be the best way to go.

    Thanks for any help.

    Karen

The only time you usually get trouble with USB ports is when you mix both USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 devices.

    • For all USB 3.0 is backward compatible, it is simply not the case that all the older devices are USB 3.0 compatible.  If you have a problem with an older device, consider that it may be because it is plugged into a USB 3.0 hub / port.
    • Not all hubs are created equal.  If you try to run some devices high speed (things you plug a hub) on a lower speed (2.0) turntable, they may lose the integrity of the data (Act funny) or refuse to perform certain tasks (depending on the device).  These devices may work best when it is plugged directly into the computer no matter that they are running as the USB 3.0 or USB 2.0.  It is not, therefore, necessarily what port the hub is connected - rather, it could be the hub itself (if you have problems).

Peripheral USB could better with a reboot - some may not reset at all without rebooting.  A USB hub, one of the simplest types - these are usually plug-and-play.  That's all that is connected to the hub, which could be the determining factor for the restart.  It's Windows - it is always better to restart when things change.

    Hello

Put it in a bag of rice for a few days or more. -seal the bag.

If you remove all the moisture, it shouldn't affect the USB ports if nothing is
possible. Usually it is not a problem if the moisture is removed.

    I hope this helps.

  • How to burn an ISO (which is a bootable CD/DVD) to a USB port?

How to burn an ISO (which is a bootable CD/DVD) to a USB port?

I usually burn ISO files bootable CD or DVD with NERO6, 7.   Now, I would like to burn on a USB key.

Ideas on a good and stable program?

    I. - Download the software that makes bootable USB drives the ISO. WinToFlash http://www.bing.com/search?q=+WinToFlash+&form=HPDTDF&pc=HPDTDF&src=IE-SearchBox> and Unetbootin http://www.bing.com/search?q=UNetbootin&form=HPDTDF&pc=HPDTDF&src=IE-SearchBox> are the two options included in the section resources. The software will automatically convert iso files on a USB drive and make it bootable.

II. - open and install your chosen software. The software will be an installation clicks where pressing a couple of times then you have ready to go.

III. - Plug the USB and check what drive it is listed as in 'my computer '.

IV. - Launch your chosen software and specify paths. There will be two sections to choose from. Look for the converted ISO file in the download or the source article. For the second section, select the path or the destination (USB key) is transferred to ISO.

    V. - click 'Next' and let the program create a USB bootable ISO file. It may take some time depending on the size of the ISO file. When the process is finished, you have a bootable USB key with your ISO file.
