  I got a HP dv7-4165dx for about 20 months now. Ten months in the original hard drive burned due to setting up directly under the GPU (lower left corner, to the left of the touchpad and under the keys), which gets quite hot on the top to make your uncomfortable hand.   Hi all.  I have a dv7-4165dx.

  The keyboard is equipped with a set of F keys at the top with additional functions for each key, as brightness, media, wireless power buttons, etc.

  The F keys are disabled by default.  Thus, for example, if I hit f5 to get a refresh of the web page, nothing happens.  I hold the fn button AND the f5 key in order to get a page refresh.

  I wonder if there is a way to lock/unlock the fkeys, so I don't have to press and hold fn with other button?
