HP EliteDesk 800 G1 - lack of USB drivers

Hi all

IM in the envirnonment in education and the construction of a HP EliteDesk 800 G1, which requires to be configured correctly because of his being connected to a camera high speed.

It is installed with Windows x 64 with SP1 and full of updates as of 24/09/2014 and have downloaded and installed all the drivers on HP website (see below), but Device Manager still reports missing USB drivers?

Can someone advise as a matter of urgency?

Hello! I have a portable g7 - 2217cl I bought refurbished BB online. I hated the Win8 system, so I "had" to win7. I know that the pros here are immediately go on to say this downgrade from Win8 of Win7 is not recommended because of this problem. However, the ONLY question I need fixed is that the three USB ports are inadmissible due to missing drivers. I can't find these drivers, of course. The computer itself works a lot better on the Win7 system. Start is smooth and it it less glitch.

Y at - the drivers of compatible USB controller that I could download? I do not have my recovery disc for Win8 (I know, stupid of me to lose those). It is not a full drawback, as I can still operate the machine and use the keyboard to move the pointer. Œuvres Ethernet, sound (loudspeaker internal and made external) and charge cord work. I have not yet tested VGA or HDMI, but I did not need to. I do a lot with it. I just need USB ports to work so that I can use my mouse and printer.

    Thank you for any response!

    Hello

after downgrading my ef of p6-2497 pavlilon hp for windows 7, I could not find the drivers for the usb 2 ports in the front.

My processor is Intel Core i7-3770 - 3.40 GHz, 3392 MHz base 4.

After some research in the Intel Web site, it seems that they do not support the usb driver for windows 7. is that correct?

If so are there alternative drivers?

    Hello:

The trick is to cross your model motherboard and find an older model with the same motherboard and use the w7 x 64 drivers from that.

  • USB drivers are missing (after installing Win7).

    Hi all!

    I bought a laptop HP - pavilion 17-f008sr Energy star (G7Y08EA).

There was a Windows 8 operating system. To work on this laptop, I installed a Windows 7 (64 bit) operating system.

That I started a system, I saw a problem with my USB in Device Manager (serial bus universal usb controller and Sm bus controller). As a result, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 did not work.

I spent a lot of time to find different drivers to try to solve this problem, but I still have it. Drivers usb Intel and pilots much even not work with my laptop and do not install it because I don't have a good system for a large part of the drivers I found. Please help, Im very tired and I don't know what to try. Bravo to all, who know ways to solve the problem with the lack of USB drivers.

    Hello:

Download and install the AMD Chipset drivers and reboot.

Who should install the usb3 controllers.

You want the first file on the Web page.

    http://support.AMD.com/en-us/download/chipset?OS=Windows%207%20-%2064

    For the smbus controller...

Here's what I did... I have zipped and attached below in attachments, the raw smbus controller driver files to decompress and install manually.

    Download and unzip the file.

Go to Device Manager and click the controller smbus needing drivers.  Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.

Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver folder that you unzipped.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.  Then restart.

  • HP Elitedesk 800 G2 SFF: external hard drive not detected in the BIOS. Only USB Flash drives are detected.

    Hi all

I received recently 2 new HP desktop computers.

    HP Elitedesk 800 G2 SFF

    HP Elitedesk 800 G2 TWR

The goal is to test our real W7 x 64 image on these machines and to inject the missing drivers in the image.

MDT 2010 to create a deployment on a USB hard disk drive.

This disc of deployment is already used on 16 different models of HP in the company (Elitebook, zBook, EliteDesk) to install our image so I know it works.

Unfortunately, the two HP Elitedesk 800 G2, I can't start the boot disk but I cannot to USB for a USB key.

The USB drive is not detected and not proposed in the BIOS Menu of STARTUP.

Only the internal HD, external USB Flash Disk, DVD and network devices are detected.

Here's what I already checked or tried:

    • Latest Version of the BIOS installed (2.05)
    • UEFI Boot has been disabled. (not supported by our record of deployment)
    • USB ports are enabled (front and rear).
    • All types of USB devices are allowed in the BIOS
    • The start command has been changed to start with USB devices.
    • Legacy support is active and Secure Boot disabled
    • Delete the keys to secure boot
    • Reset secure by default startup keys
    • This morning, I created a new disk deployment on a USB Flash drive and it works!

So, it seems that only Flash USB drives are detected.

I know it is possible to return the flag removalble on a USB device to cheat the system and make it appear as a disk fixed, but I want a simple solution.

Does anyone know a fix or a workaround for this problem?

    Thanks in advance!

For those interested in the answer, here's the final results.

It turns out that the hard 500 GB external drive can be detected if it is fomatted in FAT32.

It's strange because my 16 GB USB Flash drive formatted in NTFS works very well.

In any case, I'll create a FAT32 Partition to the Boot MDT files and put my picture (because the file is too big for FAT32 partition) on the secondary partition (formatted as NTFS).

Thanks to the technical pre-sales team of HP who helped me with this!

  • EliteDesk 800 G1 USDT: usb ports do not provide enough power

We have a scanner usb requiring 500mA of power.  However, for many of our clients using HPs, the usb ports do not provide enough power to the scanner causing the application to crash.  Some customers use the HP EliteDesk 800 G1 USDT, others use HP zero client t310.  Connect the scanner to a usb hub powered solves the problem every time.

Y at - it changes, they can do for the Bus USB controllers to ensure that a particular port will be able to provide 500mA so they did not need to buy a usb powered a system hub?  Or do you have another suggestion?

    Thanks in advance.

I'm not familiar witht eh models accurate but 500MA is the output for USB 2.0 max but 3.0 can go higher have you tried usingn 3.0 ports if not you can also get a cable Hat uses the power of 2 ports.  Many systems have problems with the only Scanners USB and power supply.

  • Elitedesk 800 LTS G1 reboot on its own

    Hello

We have 20 units of Elitedesk 800 G1 SFF; running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.  One unit, an intermittent problem.

Use Shutdown of Windows, the computer turns off.  Some time later, during the night, it turns back on.

Interesting note: we have a power-password set in the BIOS and turning on the results of the computer at a password prompt.  When this unit restarts randomly, it seems to bypass the password and goes directly to screen ctrl alt del to log into Windows.

I tried to turn off all "wake" options I find for the NIC, the mouse, the BIOS settings and even tried the registry to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon «PowerdownAfterShutdown» hack

The BIOS, Chipset are updated, as are all the other drivers offered by HP.

I witnessed the restart once - I stopped, looked at the front of the computer, all the lights were out, and it restarted.  I had not touched a thing.  Of course, I him didn't restart like that in front of me again. :-\

Pressing the key Power performed a clean boot from the stop.

Computer came with Windows 7 Pro. I installed Windows 8 since the disks provided with the computer and improved online at Windows 8.1. Everything seems to work fine, but the modes of Eve/hibertation.

By pressing on a keyboard or screen sleep button apparently sends computer standby: the screen is black, white power button mouse and keyboard LED off, LED blinks once every two seconds.

However computer not wakes up on a key on the keyboard and pressing a button / a computer turns on, but does boot upward as if it were completely off.

Already checked for the latest version of the BIOS and enabled for keyboard and mouse power management.

    Hi Jaco,

Thanks for your suggestion. I tried to experiment with the settings of power for the keyboard and the mouse, and simply made sure that both are enabled to wake the computer from sleep mode. I began to suspect that he may be the controller USB keyboard to wake the computer asleep, and I've experimented with a PS/2 keyboard without result.

Then I reread in BIOS settings help mode "standby" should be indicated in triple LED flash, and I was getting only single blink of the LED, and I started to look into each option in Advanced settings of the power management and guess what I found?

    THE SOLUTION

When I turned the sleep > allow hybrid sleep set Off, "sleep mode" started working:

By pressing on the sleep button sends computer mode 'sleep', white LED travels triple flash and two seconds apart, and by pressing a key on the keyboard wakes the computer.

Apparently my hardware configuration somehow comes into conflict with the Win8 hybrid sleep mode. SSD?

    Nice day!
Have PC HP EliteDesk 800 G1 [j4u87ea]. He installed a KINGSTON SSD HyperX SHPM2280P2H / 480G 480 GB PCI-E AIC (-expansion card), how to set the Bios from this drive, run Windows? The system sees and uses it as a single disc, but not bootable.

    Hello

    Here are my suggestions:

    1. Disconnect the original boot drive.
    2. The BIOS must be set to UEFI mode.  Make sure that only the settings of the BIOS to the PCI-E slot exactly match the requirements of the PCI-E card.
    3. Load Windows 8.1 retail for the PCI-E SSD (8.1 Windows must have the proper drivers) or use the recovery Windows 8.1 media outside HP.

If your PC does not start, then you will need to check from Kingston to determine if the PCI-E card requires preparation.

  • HP EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF: HP EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF: using VGA and DisplayPort simultaneously for double configuration monitor

    1. first monitor (Acer B223W) lights DisplayPort and displays things normally.

    2. second monitor (HP LP2065) is on the VGA port.

The problem is that my second port monitor never gets a signal from the machine and going to sleep mode. Connect the second monitor changes my main screen at a desk empty (no icons, no taskbar, just a plain painted paper), which I believe means it tries to use my VGA monitor as main display.

However, the VGA monitor never seems to show anything. I spent my main screen on the first monitor successfully too, but is not all about him either.

  • Download 3i USB drivers

I'm looking for a way unload the USB drivers to 3i. Preventing loading USB drivers would be as well.

The problem, it's a very poor performance network between all VMS on the same host. I suspect that support USB for interfering with the NIC because they share the same IRQ.

According to the information in this URLI think that the problem can be solved. We cannot disable USB via the BIOS support for iLo (HP Helpline) depends on USB.

Unfortunately, I can't find a way to prevent loading at 3i USB drivers. Modprobe is no longer supported.

Who can help me with this problem?

Welcome to the VMware community forums.   To the ESXi console, you might esxcfg-module and vmksload_mod to disable / unload drivers.   However, once ESXi boots it won't let you not unload the USB drivers so you can use the file attached oem.tgz to prevent loading the drivers.   A few things to note

    (1) once you use this, VMware will not support your installation.

    (2) I tested it on a virtual machine Windows ESXi and charge very well with it.  After the change, the drivers usb and usb-storage and usb-achi were more responsible and the system seemked to be good.  But no guarantees that it will not break something else, so you should make a backup configuration and backup of your virtual machines.

You need to activate SSH to do this-see this site - www.vm-help.com for instructions, as well as the customization of article oem.tgz on how to copy the file attached in the bootbank.

I'd be curious to know if the lack of drivers speed up things, so could you send me a PM if it works?

    Thank you.
