HP envy 14 video

Full-screen video on my HP Envy 14 does not completely fill the screen. A rectangle 20 pixels wide on the right side of the screen contains artifacts of all that was displayed before the full screen is enabled. Computer laptop experiences cela when viewing videos netflix (using silverlight) and with videos from youtube (using flash), however I have not seen the question in watching a DVD.

New edition:

Here is a picture of the show full screen. Notice on the right side of the image has a window close icon and other decorations. These are not functional, but apparently just an artifact left in the buffer to screen (or something like that). Please do not mock my selection of anime.

Another funky, this problem is that the mouse "lag" between the buttons on the screen. If you hover over the left side of the button "Exit full screen", he stressed in fact beside her volume knob. By clicking on, of course, active volume control.

An update on this one:

An update of the bios for the HP Envy 14 contributed to the issue. Find the update of the bios here:

http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-96838-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=4063&product=5118490&sw_lang=

Once this update is finished, go to the bios and disable the change of dynamic graphics. The laptop gets most of these artifacts in fullscreen video.

  • Envy 15 video freezing, BSOD

Been responsible for research forums, but it seems that I am quite alone on this one (which seems very strange).

I have reinstalled my desire with an OEM of W7 Pro version, used all the drivers on the HP support site
and I suffer from random blocks where the screen freezes or go black.

If I leave W7 Aero active never locks up on me, instead of this, he'll just BSOD on me regarding the ATIkmdag.sys

It will also crash a lot more frequently.

With disable Aero W7, it is much more stable, but it usually happens when switching from windows or watch a video

(youtube, etc). I thought that perhaps it would be heat even if fans ever spent in a hurry so I tested a FurMark

burn in test and it worked very well for 15 minutes with the GPU fan at full speed.

    Any ideas?

  • HP Envy Q005TX (J3Z15PA): HP Envy Q005TX video card information inconsistent memory

Hello. I just bought this laptop. The specifications for the video card is Nvidia GEForce GTX850M with dedicated 4 GB memory.

But when I clicked on the button Advanced settings in the screen resolution setting, it displays information from an Intel card without dedicated memory. Should I be worried?

How can I confirm that my system is equipped with 4 GB of memory card video, as shown in the ad?

  • 17 3200 envy: Envy 17 3200 screen flickers and dies. External monitor works. (Video included)

Hi, I bought my laptop about two years ago. A few days ago the screen suddenly dies, and at startup, it flashes several times with the correct display, but then turns off. The backlight seems to stay on. When I use an external monitor with HDMI port, the external monitor works fine, however, the laptop screen remains empty. Here's a video of what it looks like when I first boot the laptop: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmro4P1NmyY & feature = youtu.be , how can I do to fix this problem? Thanks, Wes

    @Saichotic ,

Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forum.  It is somewhat a problem when it comes to laptops that comes up from time to time.

The reason is there is a cable connected to the motherboard that goes back through the hinge area and connects to an inverter that powers the monitor.

Once the cable wears out, but more often just to move General around get you a loos to the inverter or the motherboard connection.

Here is a link to your Maintenance and service guide. You can use this to help pull the cable and inspect the connections.

Here is a video that will show you how essentially happen to things as well to test and check the cable.

    (1) is there a more powerful video card that I can just pop to replace the current card?  The first thing you should do is upgrade the power supply (PSU).  The current PSU is only 300W.  Most newer cards require a minimum is 400W to work properly.  I recommend at least 500W to give you extra power for peak needs.  I love Corsair products.  As for a video card, here's a card which should give you more power.  I suggest you read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.

    (2) should I buy a new desktop computer, and if so, what would you recommend for audio and video editing?  If you decide to buy a new computer, the new gaming PC are great.  Here are a few examples.  One of them as displayed will be much more powerful than your existing computer.  You can configure all that you need.

    Thank you!

  • Video capture of the video recorder on HP ENVY 700

Honestly, I don't know why I write something simple on such a forum.  Used to be that kind of info

a basic element of the documentation on all THE new products.  But what I find with my new HP ENVY 700-210 is "Troubleshooting" Guide.  I don't have one problem, another that HP doesn't seem to think that it is useful to offer

Basic instructions terminology to use their computer.

I have probably 50 hours of library VHS from my past to work as a TV journalist.  Hell, I know how to record videos,

video editing, TV remote installation, coordinated international TV, stream video production shoots... but simply transfer

video of my VHS (or TV) drive to my new computer?  Nope.  Discover yourself, my friend.

Can someone help with this, apparently helpless, Oldtimer?

PS I remember when my teenager saw reading me an instruction on a new gadget set-up/booklet 10

There are.  He asked, ' what are you doing, Dad? "  I told him I've "read" on the new equipment.  "No, Dad," said.

'You're wasing time.  Just start hitting the keys. It will work very well. ' Wow.

    Hello

You need an application to capture the video stream from a video of input material source.  This Roxio product should work.  If your PC has Cyberlink products then you will maybe upgrade the software and get a capture device similar to the capture of Roxio hardware.

It should list the volts/amps for 12 volt rail, it's what is needed to feed a GPU is not enough and the GPU will have problems running. If it does not show one, you must contact the HP support for additional details on POWER supply.

  • Don't ENVY 15 t-j100 no sound, computer lag, dosnt load video

My HP ENVY 15 t-j100 Select Edition, I bought a year ago and has been flawless, but I noticed that my sound is not loading, I noticed a few times, but never put thinking to it.

recently I noticed that my web pages took a long time to load, in offbeat video Facebook and not sound

    So I thought it was time I did a cleanup then reinstalled Windows 8.1 {twice}

I found that the sound would not load, I found in Device Manager the sound icon has been crossed out, removed and not reinstalled audio drivers still no sound, I also installed another set of drivers of HP that was no help, the sound would not load configuration check in the speakers, and when he did load his new filling pages and gel

Even noticed it wouldn't wake up sleep and sometimes a hard reboot.

I did a test config F2 all pass and Yes Virus scan

I've tried different drivers from Intel, Nvidia video drivers without change, by default Internet Explore 11 several times used not Chrome no difference

Times I can get sound but this will cause a blockage, usually I have to do a hard reset

I tried several relocations OS all have the same problem

I think what's then contact for repair
