HP Envy 15-ah150sa: new TO make noise squeaking/beep?

I just bought this laptop today - I was implemented throughout the evening but I noticed it keeps making this beep/squeak intermitten type sound (like the old modems used to do almost!) on the side right - it happens every minute or so and it's really annoying when you try to work in peace.

Is there something to fix or is it a hardware failure? I have to take this back to where I bought it?

Thanks in advance

If it is new, take it back.  It should not make noise.

If you can't, stop it.  Remove the battery and power cord.  Press and hold the button for 7 seconds.  Now puff of compressed air in one of these boxes, which you can purchase through the vent.

A common mistake is to actually use your laptop on your lap top, or any soft surface.  The bottom has the inside vents.  That's where air is drawn to cool.  If it's on a soft surface, it blocks the vents and the system is overheated.  That's why I always refer to them as laptops laptop computers rather than the misleading.

  • faulty internal drive, make noise, even when empty

My internal DVD drive is faulty and continues to make noise as if a disc is stuck in there. The noise stops when the computer goes into mode "Eve". It is an iMac 2007 and probably not worth the cost of a repair. Is it possible to stop the noise by turning off the player or eject it somehow from the hardware list. The computer works perfectly in all other aspects. I guess I could learn to live with the noise, but would rather not if someone out there has a solution. Thank you

You can always buy an optical drive of the correct specification of several sellers &

have one put in, or use an online guide to replace the component yourself.

Identify the exact model of guidance to see what is involved in the restoration of the iMac.

One of the online sellers whose inventory likely includes an optical replacement

Reader SuperDrive equivalent for the iMac (intel) would be OWC macsales. They also have

some DIY video guides to see how to make various repairs. Generally a little

additional tools would be needed. While the iMac is open for the replacement of this

part, is an opportunity for the battery of the clock to be replaced as well. Maybe even

So, it could be a great DIY project, if you went into it knowingly, with the right parts,

  • Qosmio E10 is slow and HARD drive makes noise constantly

    Hi people

I also have a toshiba qosmio e10 notebook. I had problems with it as well lately.

First it started with a slow start, and then at some point I started having error messeges.
When I called the toshiba Helpline advises him to do a check disk. I did this and the problem is still involved.

Now also the hard drive constantly makes noise, but once the computer was successfully loaded its usually very well, it's just starting. A similar thing experience?
What is the best thing to do?

I'm thinking of replacin the hard drive.
Any help will be appreciated. thanx

    Hello

The check disk (HARD drive) will not solve all problems, but this tool report some errors and problems with the HARD disk.

In my view there s nothing unusual. Over powering the laser s objective reader calibrates and makes noises.
In addition, such sound can appear if there is a disc in the CD/DVD drive.

Nope. They are silent. They have no moving parts. Of course, it is the SSD and nothing else that make noise like a fan, another drive HARD internal, etc..

  • Slimline makes noises

Hello, I recently bought a slimline pc and since then he has made a low beep noise, I can't tell if it's the case fan or hard drive that makes noise. I ran the hp diagnostics and it doesn't seem to be anything wrong. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Open the verification of cases, for the noise to

    1 disc

    2. power supply

    3. CPU cooling fan

4 bezel Digital video (if equipped) cooling fan

    5. exhaust fan back

Use a rod of wood dry to stop the fan for a few seconds.  If the noise goes away, then you have found the problem.  Wrap a piece of paper, so you can use it as a megaphone.

  • HP envy m6 w103dx: how to make new partitions?

The thing is that if I use the disk management software, it does allow me to have my desired partition size, if I do the partition during the installation of Windows and then I have to lose my OS and I read on the so pure support forum, I installed OS, I'd lose software recovery and content of the recovery partition is visible and they cannot be reinstalled.

So I'm always reluctant to do a clean install, because I don't really want to lose the recovery options, but don't really care about OS.

    @Tayyab1

If you try to reduce the C partition and are not able to reduce beyond a certain point, this is often due to locked file - try turn off windows system restore to the C partition, reboot and then temporarily disable the pagefile.

I hope that you will now be able to reduce the partition to the size you require - once this done, re-enable the system restore and page file.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite Pro P100-465: fans make noise

    Hello

I have a P100-465 running XP Pro top. I've had the laptop about 6 months now and the only thing I noticed about this laptop is that it's SO noisy. When you use the laptop, the fans come on and goes off constantly... even if I'm not hungry for resources. is this normal? I understand that the machine is powerful, but I can't believe that this is normal.

I use to have a P25-S670 and fans use to come every now and then to keep the freshness of the machine, but this new laptop is INCREDIBLY annoying. As I type this the fans turn on and off every few seconds. Looks like fans RPM increases significantly, but only for a second or two, then it goes down. In the BIOS, I even put the option for silent mode instead of the performance mode, but this made no difference. I'm running the latest drivers and firmware.

Can someone help please it makes me NUTS! ;-) Is there a way to control the fan speed and noise Windows? I remember my P25 I could change the power in silent mode options and it made quite a big difference.

    Hi mate,

already cleaned your cooling system? Maybe this could be the point because these small ventilation systems are likely to be clobbed by the dust after a while of running.
One idea would be to give your machine a technician and ask him to clean your machine and put a new grease cooling on the CPU.

That should help prevent your machine from overheating or excess of fan noise.

    See you soon

    Hello

Just bought a HP Envy 750-129cb awesome computer - and internal DVD/CD RW drive does not, when the button is pressed (after the opening of the case of money - outside)

    HP DVD/CD RW drive

    Module # DV - 8465H, February 2016

    Provided with the computer

I opened the computer and checked all cables, etc., everything looks good, but the DVD will not open.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

Thank you very much for the help - I really appreciate it.

So, I bought a new graphics card - graphics of 750 Genforce GTX ti, as my old HP Elite had an AMD Radeon 6700, while I was trying to get an equivalent to him for my new HP Envy, since AMD card was not compatible with the motherboard.

The 'tech' guy, said it would make a difference of 25% - the graphics card GTX AGAIN, that what came with the HP Envy 730 GT map - and especially good for photos.

But, please let me know your thoughts. Don't you think it's a value-wile put this card in? Maybe I'd better return the card and put it toward a new laptop, since both of my laptops died at.

Thank you once again, all the details would be really nice

  • Power supply for Satellite A200-12 x makes noise quiet

    Hello everyone:

I have a Satellite A200-12 x. My PSU makes a little noise. The noise is not loud, but it is audible only when it is connected and that work is actually done with the laptop.

As I say, is not a big noise, a noise "fry eggs" is quiet. If anyone else noticed it? Should I get toshiba to replace it with a new one?

    Thanks in advance,

    Concerning

    Manual

    Hello

Don t worry, that's not a big deal. Given that your ca gives a lot of power to your machine (man, think, you have a powerful A200 with very strong components-> CPU, VGA, RAM) and such a system needs a lot of power.

Because of this high consumption, capacitors and transistors in these adapters are also strong.
You have to imagine that don't not a single capacitor is here, no, there are hundreds and a few other components that need to regulate the power of the wall to your machine.

I have a Qosmio G30 and you wouldn believe what sound makes its power adapter. It sounds like "Brrrrmmmmmmmmmmmm", as a small UPS (battery for desktop stand-alone which prevents the loss of data in case of power failure...)

So, I suggest you accept, because all the AC´s of each new machine will make that noise.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite P845t - 10G is not start, make noise by clicking on

    Hello

running a Satellite P845t - 10 G with Windows 8, says Reboot and select boot device when it is started and makes a rattling noise, sounds like the area of the hard drive. laptop is 6 months old.

    Any suggestions?

It is possible that the HARD disk is troublemaker. I assume that clicking noise is the HARD drive.
What happen exactly when you press the power button / stop?

In any case, I recommend you contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. If the HARD drive is faulty, you will get a new and it will be replaced free of charge. Warranty will cover all costs.

    Check it please http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/generic/ASP_SUPPORT/
