HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC: Wi fi does not

Hello

My Wifi is not working properly when starting. The F12 remains orange and driver information not available in 'change the adapter settings' as control panel.

But wifi is to operate only on "restart" and not even to stop it and start again.

Details of the laptop:

Model: HP ENVY 15 PC laptop 15j-130Tx

OS: Windows 8.1 64bits

Hi @DM300 ,

I would go into Device Manager and uninstall all the drivers for the network card and reboot the laptop. It will install the driver.

Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant, if you need it. Just run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system, as it has a Wizard installed in wireless.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.

I have a HP Pavilion notebook. My system does not detect my sd card and I can't eject. Help?

From my understanding, most laptops allow you to simply remove the SD card back.  Others have a simple spring mechanism that requires you to press the memory card slightly until you hear a "click", similar to a click on a retractable pen, which must eject the card.

    Hello

    Good evening everyone,

I have a problem with connecting Internet using Wi - Fi connection. When I use the battery mode, the internet connection does not work. However, when I plug the cable into electricity, it works very well without any problems. The computer shows me that I am connected to WiFi but when I try to go to some Web sites, it does not work.

The original operating system is windows 8 and now I've upgraded to windows 10. However, the problems is not in the two operating systems.

Here is a link that shows you how to change options in Figure 19 of the link allowing the hybrid sleep.

It shows the battery options and you can check what power plan options on this moment, you are. Balanced is always recommended with laptops.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp58501-59000/sp58502.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are finished, close the laptop by holding down the SHIFT key when you click Shutdown to stop temporarily a boot hybrid.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the laptop.

    Kind regards

  • TouchSmart HP Envy 15-J104sa memory card reader does not

I took delivery of a HP Touchsmart from Envy 15 - J104sa, running Windows 8.1 this week and the internal memory card reader does not work. It does not recognize SD cards (I tried more than one) and continues as if nothing has been inserted; Don't display an error message. The cards work on my previous HP laptop. The only way to get the laptop to show an inserted SD card is to run the driver software update (http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63001-63500/sp63415.exe) whenever an SD card is inserted; This must be done with the card in the reader. If the software is running and then the card nothing happens. If the card is ejected and then re-inserted (or a new card inserted) it is not recognized and the process must be restarted and the driver reinstalled even though nothing has changed.

Can someone please help me with this question or I'll have to go back to the HP laptop. I do a lot of photography so being able to read fast and reliable SD card is extremely important for me; It is not a problem, I was expecting a new laptop all right out of the box.

    Thanks to you all.

Unfortunately not, updates of driver solves the problem, but an update of the BIOS through the HP helper application seems to have resolved the issue. While I appreciate there were not specific drivers available in my opinion, it is difficult to accept that HP should be able to release a model where they know the equipment are not fully supported by the operating system and in this case does not work.

  • HP 15-f010wm Notebook PC: touch screen does not work

I have a HP 15-f010wm Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR), and it is supposed to be a touch screen. I used it for about 4 months and the touchscreen operated accordingly. It ended yesterday when I turned on my laptop, the touch screen works not at all. I followed all the troubleshooting steps to restore my touch screen without result. Also, in the PC Info screen, Pen and Touch information shows that "no pen or touch input is available for this view. What can I do to recover my touchscreen?

    * All software and drivers are up-to-date

    * Anti-virus has been on and does a full system scan

    * Does not fall or struck before hand

    * Is not subject to the immense heat/cold

    * Generally a study school laptop table

    Hi _jaspernavarro,

The next step would be to seek to do a full System Recovery to restore the laptop to the factory settings. Back up your data on a USB flash drive or an external hard drive. If the touch screen still doesn't after that then, give us a call. You can reach HP Total Care at 1-800-474-6836 in North America or Start here if you live outside of North America.

  • Envy 15 t-j100 card reader does not

I have a HP ENVY 15 t-j100 Quad Edition running Windows 7. His card reader does not work. When I insert an SD card, I get a message that the device is not installed correctly. Windows prompts you to update me the driver, so I let him, but he can't find the driver. In devices with SD card inserted, Manager it shows a symbol in the "Other devices" section "hard drive"with a yellow "!"  The State of the device reads:

"The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

To find a driver for this device, click Update driver. »

I tried to update the driver from there, but still no driver is reported to be found.

Furthermore, Device Manager indicates that the Realtek PCIE card reader works properly. I updated the driver using sp66065.exe, but there is no difference. The card reader is still not read, nor is it a drive letter appear to the inserted card.

If I disable the Realtek PCIE card reader, then the "other devices" "Hard drive" in the Device Manager goes. But the card reader does not work as long. If I activate the card reader, the same error comes back with a yellow '! ' under 'other devices' "Hard drive" in the Device Manager.

Could you please tell me how to resolve this situation? Thank you in advance!

    jacksan1

    You are the very welcome!

Oh... It's big, happy that the problem was solved after recovery

It would very probably be updates of Windows.

Try to create a system restore manually each time before performing any installation of update or something important. You can restore to a previous restore points you have created, if a problem occurs after an update.
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/697-system-restore-point-create.html

You can also create a shortcut to a button in your office so that you can easily create manual restore - Option 1 point in the following tutorial:
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/494-system-restore-point-shortcut.html

    System Restore: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html

I would also change the Windows Manual Automatic Update settings.
This must be done in the HP support assistant program too - its control panel.

    I hope this helps.

    Have a good weekend
    God bless you.

  • ENVY 15 3040 nr recovery disc does not

    Hello

I made a recovery disk set as soon as I bought my ENVY 15. I accidentally deleted all partitions, then tried to recover by using the disks that I did... but I get this error by...

The system recovery media does not support this computer.

You are not able to restore the system with the media.

    0110 A9P60UA #ABA - A9P58UA #ABA

    Help, please!

    Hello

Assuming that it's just a problem with the recovery media, here's another solution, you can try.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create an installation disk yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( this must be the version exact same origin supplied with your laptop ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.  These Images are clean and a well respected source, however there are only limited versions available.

    Windows 7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

All pilots additional and the software, you may need can be found here.

  • HP 14-g003AU Notebook PC: brightness adjustment does not not with the laptop of HP 14-g003AU

I just bought HP 14-g003AU Notebook PC and installed windows 8.1.

I can see brightness setting botton, but it does not work.

In addition, @ key is misplaced with '. '.

Someone give me please an idea to fix it.

    Hello

Regarding the brightness controls, try to use Recovery Manager to reinstall your original graphic driver - how to use the Recovery Manager to reinstall the drivers and software is detailed in the document at the link below.

    Recovery Manager - Windows 8.

    After reinstalling, restart the laptop.

As far as the keyboard is concerned, it seems that if the incorrect page layout has been selected - IE if @ is on the 2 key must be set to the United States and so " " "is on the 2 key, it must be set to UK - you can change your keyboard layout, as described on the corresponding link below.

Change of keyboard - Windows 8

    Kind regards
