HP Envy 17-J001TX E3A59PA #ABG Windows Update 8.1

Hi guys,.

The HP Envy 17 - J001TX E3A59PA #ABG has not been tested by HP for Windows 8.1 update, according to the Web site. Is there an estimated time when we can expect the update is available for this machine?

Thank you very much

Adam Taylor

Based on the HP ENVY 17-j001tx laptop drivers page, HP provides WIndows drivers 8.1 for the HP ENVY 17-j001tx laptop. This is an indication that this model has been tested with Windows 8.1

  • Want H8-1534: could not start HP Envy H8-1534 pc after Windows update 10, 1607

Windows 10 has made automatically update 1607 (KB3176936) on the pc of my wife (HP Envy H8-1534) about 6 days ago. Since then I could not start the pc the first time I turn it on.

When I hit the power button on the monitor lights up with the HP logo on black screen as usual but the loading icon (spinning points) does not start. Fans start, but there is no activity on the Tower in the way of flashing lights or beep sounds. If I turned off the pc by using the power button, wait 10 seconds and turn on again, the pc will start up as normal. So far, for the last 6 days, it took the 2nd attempt so that it starts the pc every time. It almost seems as if there are not able to go to the system except for the fans in this first attempt to start.

I ran a test at startup by pressing the F2 key without no problems found. I disabled the SATA power management in the BIOS. I ran the Windows startup with no result repair. Here are the results of the txt file.

I researched all the possibilities. I fear that this could begin to worsen. Any help will be appreciated.

  • HP Envy M6 - 1158CA - BSOD on Windows Update

Hi all, I write because I have experienced some problems with my laptop (a HP Envy M6 - 1158ca), whenever I update my Windows.

    I am currently running Windows 8.1 64-bit.

The problem is when I stopped my laptop, it will basically force an update on that just before his arrest. The problem is whenever I stopped him, he is going to update. Update ends normally, and the laptop is able to stop. The problem starts whenever I restart the laptop. When I restart the laptop, it will go to the graphical boot screen (the HP logo with Windows loading icon), and suddenly it'll show the blue screen of death. The laptop will restart, try to start again in the operating system, then it will show the blue screen of death once more. It is on average three times each time that I update. After the third time, it will take me to the system repair option, and I have to use the system recovery tool to restore my system to an earlier backup. The problem with that? No matter what program I have uninstall gets reinstalled, any document that I edit gets deleted or all my work will disappear.

I was wondering what is happening with my laptop, and how I might solve this problem.

Again, I'm under operating system is Windows 8.1 64-bit.

and the update, he tries to push, is probably Windows 8.1 update 1.

    Hi 786Tobi,

Try the rest of this document performing a new installation of Windows.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

  • HP ENVY 700-049 will be not updated to Windows 8.1 - 0xC1900101 - 0 x 20018

I recently bought a HP Envy, office 700-049 and have updated to the most recent Windows 8.  I re-downloaded and installed all the drivers for Windows 8 listed on the support page.  I disabled the LAN wireless in Windows (no way to do it in the BIOS I can say).  After that, I went to the App Store Windows and ran the 8.1 update.  The machine restarts and begins to set up the devices, but stops before the end with the SYSTEM_THREAD EXCEPTION NOT_HANDLED error.

    On reboot I give myself

    0xC1900101 - 0 x 30018

It appears in Google... and I tried common recommendations (install updates, install the latest driver, disable WLAN)... y at - it additional suggestions or I'll just have to hang tight on MS to fix this?

My wrist is tired of bouncing over the shortcut bar. :-)

    Kind regards

    -Tony

Obviously, make sure you have the latest drivers and updates installed... but I managed to get through there.

I'm pretty sure that the Ralink Wireless card is the culprit.

In addition to the steps I have described here above I have disabled the integrated graphics card.  Also, I was going through a KVM.  I hooked the mouse, keyboard and monitor directly in... using the graphic adapter PCIx.   But I suspect that the following was "the miracle."

I had a set of screwdrivers on a small scale and a pair of pliers and took the Ralink wireless out.  It's just "above" where is the PCIx graphic card.  This screw was really in there... Please be very careful not not to strip out.  Once the screw is out, it appears out of the slot.  I just hid it near bays of drive.

With the offline wireless the 8.1 update succeeded.

  • HP Envy X 2: win 8 notebook refreshed with erasure of data, Windows updates restart loop

I have a laptop hp envy x 2 convertible. I just did a refresh with erasure of data for preparation of the laptop for sale. I'm trying to upgrade to 8.1 Windows so I can get the opinion of Windows 10 reserve (already booked before wiping, but I want to make sure it stuck) and I have a problem with the Windows updates.

I did the first round of Windows updates and rebooted. Now whenever I go to check the additional updates, it tells me to restart. I restarted my computer 5 times Yes and I still get the same message. It does not seem to do anything with the updates on reboot. How can I fix?

Hi, thanks for the response. This problem is actually solved to him alone this weekend. When I went the power options, there is an option "to update and restart." Once I chose this option instead of "restart now" from the screen of Windows updates, it installed updates and I have not had any more problems.

  • HP Envy Rove 20 - Windows update breaks tapΘ 11

Hi, I was wondering if anyone else has this problem? Any help appreciated.

    HP Envy Rove 20

    Windows 8.1

Windows - scheduled to run automatically updates

When windows update requires a reboot to install recently downloaded updates, I reboot and after restarting internet explore 11 poster not all web pages at all - just there is 'waiting for reply' of any url I type in, all other connected network applications work correctly (by email, news RSS norton internet security etc.).

This happens in the office as well as Win 8.1 mode mode (no difference). I tried to reboot several times after the update, remove temporary files, cookies, etc - all to no effect.

Other devices on my home network can view web pages etc without problems, internet connection, DNS, router wireless and Broadband BT are all ok. (I'm in the United Kingdom).

The only course of action to correct the problem seems to be a restore from the most recent restore point system (before the updates being downloaded. I also have HP support assistant installed and running (check the updates from HP etc..)

I tried to do a system restore, then install google chrome, running windows update again, install all the same updates, chrome has the same problem as IE11.

This happens very regularly - ideas out there?

    Thank you very much.

  • Recovery HP Envy 4 Ultrabook (Sleekbook) after Windows 8.1 update course

I'm working on a model of ultrabook (sleekbook) of HP Envy 4 4-1115dx for a friend. They said they tried to upgrade to Windows Update 8.1 and it has not worked since. There was a black screen with an error that says "boot device not found" hard drive (3F0). I tried everything I can find on the internet to try to address this. I ran Diagnostics of hard disk (short and long), and the order is placed. I have reset the BIOS settings by default, Secure Boot disabled, enabled Legacy Boot and I have somehow or another managed to access a screen that shows the RAID settings and I put the hard drive in non-RAID (probably an error). During all of this, I ordered a USB hp recovery and when it starts I get a warning that says "not recovery support to the title of the current configuration, please activate the acceleration for Intel Smart Response Technology option and try again." I can't find this in the BIOS anywhere (turning power of boot technology fast Intel does nothing.) Through what seems to be something that you configure in Windows leading to the top of this post. I tried all these parameters before and after changing the RAID settings. So now I have a recovery USB which does not seem to work on this work and the drive tests very well. I could shoot the SSD drive, if necessary, but I was trying to avoid that, because you have to take the whole computer part to access. Any suggestions?

Well, I feel like a fool. I was misunderstanding the SSD as drive JUST before I realized it was both. The normal hard drive was dead. I put a new hard drive in it after removing the bottom of the laptop and the provided HP recovery USB what worked perfectly. I kept thinking there was a partition on the SSD that I didn't see or format. It was just a plain ole doesn't have a hard drive. Thank you very much for your help.

  • HP ENVY dv6 Notebook PC: Windows update 8.1

I had problems trying to upgrade from windows 8 for windows 8.1.  I posted to the Windows forum and gave instructions for a clean install, I did 2 times now.  The first time it even got stuck in the set of files to 82%.  I went back in and downloaded again 8.1 and tried again this morning.  This time when hit 82 percent that it turned off my computer.  I turned on my computer and it reinstalled the old version of windows.  This time when I got back to 8.1 windows installation has started working by itself.  I don't know what I can do, but I hope that windows 8.1 do not continue to try to settle.  I think that my installation for windows 8.1 files are flawed.  Is there anywhere else to get the update and more in the store?

try to run the windows update troubleshooter.

"in your screen type for tile" windows update convenience store.

    and follow the instructions.

    Good luck!

  • HP envy 14-2090eo: Windows Update cannot find updates

    Hi Expert CV.

Last night I did a clean install with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit with service pack 1 included - when that said I only see an update in the updates installed and his Ko 976902. And I also installed the necessary drivers and Trend Micro as my Internet Security - well. For about 12 hours now Windows Update worked without find updates at all, and it continues to operate. I tried to create a firewall rule for C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe - because I read somewhere that it could be the firewall that was blocking the update - and I tried to run the diagnostic tool for windows update in the Windows Firewall, and he says it has resolved a number of things and then I rebooted the laptop but still no luck.

I hope one of you can help me on the way of functioning of Windows Update, if any of you have a solution? It would be highly appreciated.

Also, I must say that I have a laptop of the reserve, where I have for a long time ago also made a clean install with windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, and on that one, it takes a long time to run too, but less that he finds something. So I may have something wrong on two laptops?

    You are the very welcome.

I install KB3102810 and reboot the PC and then run windows update again.

That's what the second patch is supposed to take care of...

Installation and research updates is slow and high utilization of the processor occurs in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2

When you install updates using System Center Configuration Manager, the installation takes a long time, and System Center Configuration Manager is overloaded.

  • Envy of HP dv7 - 7323CL: HP driver not available for my laptop after the WIN10, now said to use Windows updates

I think I got this, just need confirmation, before I was going to HP.com to find udpated pilots, then site Web HP said if computers purchased after August 2013 have been tested, I think you could get the updates via the HP with WIN10 site.  My pc model was purchased in February 2013, it seems now that I have WIN10 there is no drivers for me page to go it says that I need to go to the updates of Windows.  Before I upgraded to 10, I was 8, and I had full access to the drivers download through HP.com page.  However, I think I understand now, I had a problem with the Norton Removal Tool, after using it, it makes my pilot biometric and disabled the Windows Hello to WIN10 - the reader of fingerprints for a connection.  The pilot appeared to be corrupted and I needed to just reinstall.  I finally found an old forum via HP where someone has had the same problem that I did and they are found to include a link for the driver, and it worked for my model of laptop and solved the problem.  After some tests, I uninstalled the driver and learned at that time, after the driver is uninstalled, I can go to Windows Update and it will search and find the driver that I uninstalled and offer me the download to reinstall.  That's cool.  So, I understand now that even now if the drivers are not available for my model via HP.com, I can now just do a search through Windows Update and it will fix the problem, only after that I uninstalled it through Control Panel, Device Manager, once I uninstalled, restarted the computer, then did the updates of Windows It downloaded the driver, like when I went to the Control Panel, Device Manager, I saw the biometric driver in good working condition.  This is the case now with who need driver updates / reinstall?  (Note: to update the drivers, I know too much, you can go to control panel, Manager of devices, and then click the driver and select Update driver software.)
