  Hello, I have a HP Envy 4500 all in one printer that is only a year and have had many problems with.  Recently, when I turn it on, it displays an error code; 0XB3F4F4F8. I have not found what means this error code. ? I tried to unplug and then turn on to get the Welcome screen, then it said error code and does NOT stop automatically. I have to unplug it to stop it.   I have a 4500 Envy will be printed on plain paper but as soon as I load photo paper it will not print on it.  I tried different manufacturing of paper and he'll come, but then just smears on the back with nothing on thr front while others, he just tells me to load paper.

  Please try these steps and getting back to me.

  Because the printer does not have the paper, I would recommend to try the steps listed in the document below. You can start to "Solution 2: adjust paper settings in the print driver.

  If you arrive at "Solution 4: service of the printer", then I would recommend contact you HP.

  Contact HP:

  Step 3. Scroll up to "still need help? Fill out the form to select your contact options.
  Step 4. Scroll down and click on: contact HP options - click Get phone number

  The printer works well, but I can't do on my envy of 4500 copies.  When I press the 'Start copy black' or 'Start copy color' nothing happens.  I just replaced two cartridges with HP ink cartridges.  The scanner doesn't work well anymore.

  I bought my Hp Envy 4500 all in November last one. It worked like a charm for the first 2 months. I tried to print photo 4 x 6 a day. 2 first impressions were good, and the third image has begun to fade from the half. Documents not threatened by more than a few pages. I tried to uninstall/re-install, printing via USB, set static IP address on the print and followed by other solutions on this forum. I was lazy to lift a question myself on this forum. Now, I'm totally frustrated and disappointed by this product, I wanted to just try my luck.

  Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.

  I understand your ENVY 4500 HP e-all-in-one printer is not printing documents to the end and there is a print quality problem when you print photos.  I would like to help.

  I have some suggestions that can solve these problems.

  First, I recommend that you only perform a "hard reset":

  1. press the Power button to turn off the printer.
  2. unplug the power cord at the back of the printer.
  3. wait 60 seconds.
  4 reconnect the power cord to the back of the printer.
  5. press the power button to turn on the printer.

  Click on the title of the following article:

  Try Solution two.

  If this clarify two questions, great!  If this solves the problem of document but still the problem of print quality with photos, click on the title of the following article:

  Printer prints a blank Page or does not print black ink color for the HP ENVY 4500 and Deskjet Ink Advantage 3540 e-all-in-One Printer Series

  Work your way through the Solution one and go until you are satisfied with the print quality.  Test photo print - does clarify the issue of the photo?

• HP printer Envy 4500 does not share print and else, says paper jam

  Just bought HP Envy printer 4500 which is supposed to print on both sides.  I put a copy of a document of two faces in the place where the document is supposed to copy.  I put the function copy, black ink, 2 Facer.     Then, I pressed 'start' and a copy out of feeder.  When I pressed on the two long side once again I get the message 'paper jammed' I called HP and Best Buy and nobody can help you.  HP support says paper I use is the cause.   Excuse me, but this is a multipurpose with 96 bright paper, 20 lb.   Best Buy tech told the paper or the paper type has nothing to do with anything.    I wanted to only two printed sides to save paper, but I can't live without this feature.

  But, for the record, I learned the machine is faulty by Best Buy and return.   I don't think it's paper or defective.   What do I do and where can I find the explicit directions to copy both sides of the paper.  No computer!

  • Press copy,
  • Touch 2 faces
  • Touch black or color

  Now the printer says «face...» "It will copy the first page, do not remove paper.

  • Turn the paper on to the second page (or put the second page on the glass).
  • Press ok

  It will copy the second page.

• HP Envy 4500: Error Message and printer frozen, power cycling does not solve

  I used my desire 4500 for several years without incident until this week where she had to do a scan and alignment on each startup and now it is frozen in case of error 0XB05C7A4E.   OMG!  I'm so sick of this printer, I'm about to throw it out the door and run it.  It prints just arbitrarily what he wants, jump pages and printing of blank pages.  Why have even a printer?  This was ordered as a replacement for the 5530 HP Envy, which took a completely inoperative scanner, so I had to return it and got it rather because prices and what I thought would be value.  Maybe I'm not good at printing, but I feel like these last two printers have really upset HP and I do not want more...

  I'm sorry to hear that the update of the firmware is also a failure for you. Make sure that you have not any "paper" or "paper jam" message on the screen when you try to send the firmware. If all goes well on the printer when you try to send the firmware, it sounds like something may be altered in your printers of programming.

  At this point, I will send you a private message with a special printer resets in it. I suggest that you check your private messages and cross the reset, I'll provide you with. After you run the reset don't forget to display the result of zeroing in this thread and not in the private message that our troubleshooting steps may be useful to other users of the Forums of HP's Support.

• HP Envy 4500: Problem with WIFI printing

  WIFI printing worked both MacBook and iphone. Then stopped. Was able to print e-mail with difficulty. Implemented AirPrint, but always had problems. Finally got Apple Support help me in removing the AirPrint service and return to the regular WIFI printing. I am now able to print from the MacBook, but my Iphone says "No. Found AirPrint printers". How to reset iphone to locate the printer?

  I can not help you reset your iPhone, but should not have to.

  May iPhone airplane mode is off.

  Make sure the iPhone is on the same network as the printer.

  Test print.

  HP also has a great app for printing from the iPhone app HP Eprint.

• HP Envy 4500 All - in - One Print: missing 'Print & Scan' icon Envy 4500 printer

  When I scan to my PC from the printer control panel it shows only 'other' as the destination computer.  When I press on the help button (""? "") I can see my default printer without having to select 'Other' I am made to make this setting in the HP scan software.   Futher investigation I'm directed to a "Print & Scan" icon.  The problem is I have no icon "Print & Scan" and did I not any reference to the analysis in my HP printer Assistant I installed the latest drivers on the web, search the installation CD and can't find anything on how to get this icon to customize and preview my scans.  The scan fuction works fine otherwise.  I'd appreciate any help I can get with this configuration.

• HP Envy 4500: Accidentally changed screen printer language

  I accidentally hit the wrong button on the printer screen.  He changed the language.  I tried to scroll to English, but this option never appeared.

  Here are the steps to change the language of the printer to English:

  1. tap the Home icon.
  2. then down arrow 6 times (Preferences) and press OK.
  3. on the first in the list (language) press OK.
  4. move the arrow to English and press OK.

  I'm trying to print from my HP envy 4500 from my top of Dell Windows 7 Desktop Professional.  I only get half of the page and the printer never ends the book, so I always have to pull him out.  It's so weird, because all my HP printers before the pages flew and I always pick up out of the ground.

  The amount of data, I get a page can vary - sometimes a few more lines than the other.

  Sometimes I get the header of a page on another page background (for a while I thought it was a problem with the paper, but this can happen many times even with a few pieces of paper (no stuffing).)

  I turned on and off several times and still no luck.  Please advise!

  I noticed that you can print half page, with your HP Envy 4500, Windows 7 wireless printer. I'm happy to help with this problem!

  What happens when you try to print a test page from the printer control panel? Video: printing a Test Page. The same thing happens?

  If so, please try the steps outlined in this guide, an "out of paper" message. As it will show you how to clean the rollers in the printer. (Even if the title of the guide may not correspond to your question, I think that the solutions will help.)

• HP ENVY 4500 does not print a PDF file

  I have Win7 HP laptop HP ENVY 4500 all-in-One printer wireless and iMac OS X 10.9.1 desktop. It prints all good document file formats, except a PDF file. When I try to print a page of a PDF doc't, via Adobe Reader (11.0.07), it prints 6 equidistant tiny portions of the original PDF page on a single sheet. All six parties are in the same area of the upper quadrant of the original PDF page. I tried many portrait, landscape and size configurations, but in vain. It will not print PDF of my iMac and PC browsers files. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and its driver a couple of times. It installs OK without error messages, but it will not print PDF. Also, I don't get any error messages when I try to print a PDF file. I don't see any documentation supplied with the printer printer to say that this HP all-in-one cannot print PDF doc'ts, and it seems to me that it would print a PDF file until several weeks ago. Please notify.

  I was finally able to print PDF files. But it's been so long ago because it was fixed that I don't even remember what was the solution. But four possibilities come to mind: (1) is of course the "print as image file" option has been activated; (2) re-installed printer driver; (3) re-installed Acrobat Reader and ensured that browser and extensions of processing of s/w, if any, have been correctly selected for my printer. (4) corrected a wrong paper, the type, quality, or size option layout which may have resulted in a page layout or a different format from what should be the 'standard' to a PDF file. Sorry I can't be more specific than that. But if I have to determine exactly what I could do to get PDF printing to work properly, I will go straight to you. BTW, I certainly don't rely on an intermediate file conversion service or s/w to transfer my PDF files to a printable format. I hope this helps.

  But I'm at work in another city and you want to scan a document located on the 4500 feel like at home.

  My phone app it won't unless it is connected to the same WiFi network as the printer.
