HP ENVY 750z desktop PC: transfer Hp Recovery on USB

I have just recieced my computer of 750z HP ENVY. I see that the computer recovery partition is a drive D: with 2.18 Go Go 17.5. I would like to come back to this space. Is it possible that transfer to a USB key? Would be all I need is one that can contain the 2.18 GB or GB 17.5 all? How would then delete the partition (disk?) for this space to hard drive?  Also if someone could also provide information on what I need to do to use a USB to recover in case I ever do must recover. I've never had to do anything like that.

Hello

Yes, but we don't call it 'transfer' we call creating recovery media. Use the following instructions (page #15).

http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c04843029

After that, keep the USB key in a safe place (you may need a day) and you can delete the recovery partition.

Note: You can only create once.

Kind regards.

There are many models/products of ENVY Phoenix Desktop - 850-065 series. In any case, according to your description you can use a normal PCIe 1Gig card. There are a lot of cards around, 1 port, 2 ports or more. Please make sure that there are drivers CD or at least it shows you where to find driver (from the site of the manufacturer).

    JoBla, welcome to the forum.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to ensure that the latest components will work in an old computer.  Your computer is almost 3 years old.  My suggestion is to choose the SSD and the video card you want to buy and contact the Technical Support of the manufacturer to determine if it will work with your computer.  They are the experts on their products.  This will save you the possibility to pay for the return of one of them.  That's what I did and it works fine.

I can recommend a PSU 600W (PSU), however.  I love Corsair products.  Here is a very good power supply.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.  There is a modular version of it, too.  The modular power supply is good for medium-sized cases.  It allows you to use only the cables that are absolutely necessary.  Which makes for airflow and better cable management.

  • Transfer of recovery system of USB drive to DVD disk

I have read the forums and I see that you can transfer DVD USB recovery but can you make the USB on a DVD. Is this possible? I'm a computer tech and not an average user, so I can understand if it's complicated.

I was in the hospital when I did the recovery on USB disk and was not thinking. He saved me trying to repartition my hard drive and inadvertently deleted my recovery partition. I didn't have access to blank DVD media at the time and when I got home, I wanted to have a copy on DVD for the Image. I am currently using a 32 GB SanDisk USB flash drive and won't eat up to 12 GB of space for recovery.

I'm more concerned it's complicated to do because I am an advanced user. If you can help me, I would appreciate it.

P.S. I love all your products. I only use HP printers and laptops and I am in love with this computer for HP Pavilion series laptop g my sister is for me off of eBay. You guys rock!

Or you can call HP to order a set of recovery disks. Usually around $17. 800-474-6836.

You can usually order via a link on your models also support page. It will be in the list of drivers/software.

  • HP recovery media does not, need to do the second set of recovery on USB media.

    Hello

I have a new HP Envy laptop that I have created a set of recovery on six DVD media.  These work very well, but are a pain in the end to keep pending next DVD to load.

So I tried to make another recovery media and place it on a USB key.  Discovered, that it will not allow a second value created.

So I then ordered and paid for a recovery of HP media.  A beautiful labeled Microsoft USB key came. Great, I thought.

My laptop because of my fault I failed and wouldn't boot.  So I decided to use my new HP USB stick and after that go into the BIOS and disable the boot from USB stick and start secure etc as he said to it returned with an error that "this computer can not be recovered from this media!"

I then pluged in my DVD - ROM external and used drive recovery media that I did and it worked perfectly!

I tried the live chat with a technical person of HP and they checked the serial number and said I got what should work.  They could do a repair ticket and send the laptop.

It makes no sense to me as I have the unit upwards and running, but I wanted to know how I could get a USB work recovery media.

I ended up saying goodbye as they were of no help.

    My questions are:

    (1) why this media does not work?

    (2) is it possible to make a second set of recovery media?

    (3) is there a way to transfer my recovery media DVD 6 on a USB?

OLD POST > I first noticed the order said it was a pn 735088-002 and a sticker outside the wand that has the same number, BUT when he looks at a name on the flash drive is 735088-DB2... >

    UPDATE:

The new USB recovery media came today from HP.   He had again the same top part number that the original order has been 735008-002, BUT this time the corresponding came USB drive name to the tile. 735008-002 , I inserted this new media and it is fully charged.

Thank you for all your help.

I suggest you call HP support that could take a command remotely on your computer to see what goes wrong, and then if necessary, they might send you a series of recovery Image factory (depending on the situation).

  • Envy 14 K110nr: Cannot recover system recovery media, associated with PININST_BBV

I have a HP Evny 14 K110nr. In short, the system upgraded to Windows 10, started acting weird about a month after:
Lose access to resources (Task Manager, desktop, Control Panel, etc.)
Defective devices (wifi, bluetooth, etc.), suspended connections, System Restore gave a lot of mistakes.

Tried to fix the system, nothing worked (even the DISM restorhealth was not working and suspended 40%)

Long story short, I tried to recover the hd partition and could not complete successfully, same thing happened with my recovery media.

At the end of the recovery attempt, I get a BSOD and system resets. It was a loop like that for awhile.

Ran Diagnostics, no errors, but I suspect it was the HARD drive as the mentioned system errors on it before the collapse.

I replaced the HARD drive and started the process again, this time I have not received any BSOD, but after completitng, I get a message saying that the recovery was incomplete. Just now my system is a Clipboard and consider Ubuntu if I can't up the widows, but it makes no sense. I read through several threads that referred to this issue and I don't know if I've seen any absolute solution to this issue (none have worked for me so far). Here are a few:

I understand that you upgraded to Windows 10 and then the system started acting weird about a month later with the loss of resources. and malfunctioni devices. You tried to do a restore but received many errors.  Then, you tried to do a system repair, but no luck. You tried to do a recovery from recovery and recovery but Media Manager once again without success.  At the end of the restore process, you have a blue screen and the system resets and goes in a loop.  You have run a complete diagnosis and all spent and that you have received error on the HARD disk before you replace it.

You proceeded to redo recovery and you do not have the BSOD, but after, you have received the message that the recovery was incomplete.

Here is a link to HP-HP System Recovery troubleshooting (Windows 8) computers that can help.

You can also try booting in safe mode.  HP computers - Windows Safe Mode (Windows, 10, 8).

If the problem persists I try to clean the optical drive, and then try using the recovery again.  You can try to clean it with compressed air or a disc to clean the disc. Also, check your disk recovery for stains or damage.

You can also try to boot any disk from Windows and reformatting the drive to start over with the recovery.

If it breaks down again it is likely that the discs and you will need a recovery kit.

    Hello

I bought this new computer there is a little more than two years and now I tells me that the motherboard and power supply have out crapped on me. We could think of a motherboard should last longer than that, but I digress...

I would replace the motherboard so that I can save the rest of the computer. Is it possible to transfer my license windows from the old motherboard to the new? Or I have to buy another license?

    Thank you

    Greetings,

I hope that you back up the important things on several external media and in the cloud until it happened.

The failure of food fry the HDD/SSD or any other component?

You can contact HP to service here.

HP will replace the motherboard and the MB of tattoo. This would allow you to use HP recovery media to bring the system to a factory State. You wouldn't need a new Windows product key.

Do you make or buy HP recovery discs before this catastrophic event? It appears your PC comes with Win 8.0. Recovery media, you can order here.

HP will reinstall Win 8.0 if you replace the defective components and tie the mother of replacement HP factory for the chassis number of the system (tattoo).

If you replace the motherboard on your own, you can buy a new Windows product key.

@GayanW: sounds like the hard drive died suddenly on you - which occurs.

Once you can do is try to make a hard drive from the BIOS test.  The instructions are at the link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00439024

After back here with the results of the tests.

IF this confirms that the hard drive is dead, then you must do the following:

    (1) replace the hard drive

    (2) order the HP recovery media

    (3) reinstall from the recovery media

  • Warranty issues on HP Envy 750xt desktop

I just bought a desktop HP Envy 750xtand have a few questions about warranty options.   LiveChat is down or I would have asked them!  in any case, here are the questions:

    1. what guarantee do the funds come with, it is 90 days a year, or more?

    2. What is the best warranty available for this desktop computer?  I found this one. This is the best?  It covers hardware problems for all 3 years (as if the hard drive or motherboard should go wrong, for example)?

    3. Finally, if I end up needing to put a CPU cooler in (I opted for the 980TI i7 - 4790 k and gtx), which could result in the cancellation of the warranty?

    Hello

I just got the desktop PC HP ENVY 750se with Blu - ray burners and burner DVD SuperMulti burner.

Everything works fine. My problem is the orientation of the reader.

It would have been better if the reader was prepared horizontally.  Not happened.  HP box should go on the right side of my desktop, drive is mounted vertically, and this is my chance that the orientation of the player opposite me who puts Assembly and disassembly of the ackward media CD/DVD/Bluray and quite a twist of the wrist excersize.

Until I opened the box and experiement if I can go back to the disc, so he faced me, is this doable from a material point of view? Or is the disc material permanently set to this position to damndable?

I think that my last resort is to order my office by placing the box on its side and to serve as a basis for my monitor.  If the Player cannot be reversed, ok to run the HP box on the side?

    Any help or advice appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello @Ryck,

    Thanks for the reply!

If you place the office in a horizontal position, then the event must be correct upwards?  I don't think that should be a problem.  However, if placing the office horizontally, covers the vent, so I do not recommend it.

    I hope this helps.
