HP Envy 7640: 2 face Scanning on envy 7640

Recently, we brought the 7640 Envy as a replacement for a previous HP printer (Photosmart 7520) as the introductory text says he could scan side 2.  This seems not to be the case.  The old printer allowed us to select 2 orginal faces and scan one side then the other and the software have been using pages.  Jealousy appears to allow only scan single face no possibility to make 2 analysis in the face of all the.

Someone at - it ideas how reolves this?

Hello

While the HP Photosmart 7520 offers Auto duplex ADF (automatic 2 faces an original scan), the Envy 7640 offer not such but only 2 back, according to the list of characteristics below:

http://store.HP.com/us/en/PDP/HP-envy-7640-e-all-in-one-printer

You can download and install HP extended Scan below as a workaround:

http://FTP.HP.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Within HP extended scan may perform you a manual scan 2 faces, he will guide you to recharge the 2nd side in the ADF.

  • HP 8600 Premium All in One TWO FACES SCANS (mac)

can someone point me to a url that will show me exactly (like step by step with screenshots) how to do a sweep two faces?

I would like to put a stack of 10 sheets in the paper tray and the machine give me a set of documents in the order that represent a scan of this stack of paper. Currently I open preview, go to file > import to scan all devices, then go to file > import from Scanner HP 8600 and then I scan. / first-side of my scans open in preview, but it is necessary for me to return the paper do this again and then RE-ORDER the preview scans in order to print to PDF so that I can save this document.

    is there a better way?

someone tell me that this is not one of these features only available on a PC but not on a mac for printers compatible mac HP...

    Thank you

    We gladly invite you.

On Mac OS, you usually provided with 2 software solutions, 1 is the software of native OS (e.g. transfer of images or preview) another option is the software supplied by HP that you offer the most comprehensive solution, which provide you with additional functionality of scan to an editable text and scan directly from the screen of the printer. for your printer is also the double scanning function provided by the HP software, I doubt that it is supported by ICA (although I'm not sure)

You can also try to Capture of Image scanning or the preview by clicking on the button view details.

Define the scan as document feeder Mode and check if you can find any box for front or front and back under...

If you can't find such a, it is supported only by the complete software.

For the 8500 indeed software update is the solution available only, the 8600 however a comprehensive software solution.

These 2 solutions are available and one of them can be used with your device, simply select the one that meets your needs.

The full feature is downloadable below, if you choose to install do not forget to set the Setup Type as HP recommended during installation software, then you will find the HP Scan application under the Hewlett-Packard folder:

I just confirmed that all series Officejet PRO L7xxx have 2 sides scanning. Simply select the option 'analyze both sides' Solution Center.

  • OfficeJet 5740e: 5740: 2 - face scanning ADF (duplex)

    Hello

I am trying to determine if this printer can use the ADF to manually create a pdf from 2-sided documents.  I am aware that there is an ADF automatic 2-sided, but the scenario I think is as follows:

-Give him a stack of documents in the ADF and scan 1 side of them

    -Flip manually battery

    -Recan the second side

-The software combines all this in the correct order

I know he can do one sheet at a time, but I'm looking to do this in the batteries using the ADF.  I see conflicting information everywhere and prefer not to buy the printer only to return.  Can someone confirm if this scenario works?

    Thank you!

    Hi @santama1,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed you're wondering if your HP printer Officejet 5740, can use the ADF to manually create a pdf from the 2-sided documents on Windows 8.1. I'm happy to answer that question for you!

This according to how to analyse of the guide, using full feature software scanning (Windows 8) HP, under the section step 3: Scan with HP software, then the section, scan an original of several page into one file. An article said:

Important: the Scan Preview feature must be enabled for scan multiple pages into one file documents. Additional pages from the original are added for the single file in the Scan preview window.
  • ScanJet Professional 3000 cutting the margin left only on the back side of 2 faces scan

I have two scanners SJ 3000 Pro - work under Win7Pro.  Two a sides fine analysis, the other clips off the coast of about 1 "from the analysis of the back side.  Any ideas on how to fix?  Should not be roller/alignment as it works through the scanner only once and it scans both sides at once.  I'm puzzled.

Solved.  Open scanner and found that there are a bunch of finger as paper tape which had been delivered with one end of it stuck to the window of scan back!  Deleted and it is stuck back where it was supposed to be and voila - it is more chops off the coast of the 1 "off the coast of the left margin.

  • iOS10 Photo scan stopped

Not the end of the world I recognize, but the face scanning in iOS10 on my iPhone 6 has been slain to a whole number of today.

    The 'People' album says:

    "1 896 scanned photos.

To complete scanning of your photos 4 949 left, lock your iPhone and plug it into the power. »

I did something like that and left for a few hours this afternoon and he said still 1 896 pics.  Have rebooted and killed a few times, the photos app, but it does not restart.

Someone else had been able to remedy?

Same problem on my iPad 2 Air. I am glued 8367 scanned, 2340 rest. I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing helped.

  • Fax documents double faces with HP 6700

OfficeJet 6700 Premium with Win 7 Pro 64-bit.

How can I fax a set of double-sided.

Although my printer contains a duplexer, I don't see how to take advantage of this feature when sending faxes.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

The Officejet 6700 doesn't have a duplexer into the Automatic Document Feeder (CAD) allowing to copy or fax the back of documents automatically.  For the Officejet 6700 you will need to do one of the following:

    1. Copy the back part, then interleve copies with the original and this move in the ADF, or
    2. Load the pages manually on the scanner glass.

If you have multiple faces double copies fax or this is a regular occurrence, you may prefer a printer that has double face scanning capabilities in the ADF.  The HP Officejet Pro 8600 more and HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium are two models that I know who have this ability.

  • Problems when scanning double-sided printer Officejet 8600 Pro Plus

    Hello everyone

    I recently bought a printer HP Officejet 8600 Pro Plus (CM750A n911g)

I am facing difficulties when more than one original double face scanning by ADF.

A single page works fine, but with several pages it works in about 10% of cases.

    This is what is happening.

In normal situations, side of first page the page is parsed, page is hit, second side is scanned, new page flips and ejects the page.

But there are times that when the first side is scanned the first page is fed into the ADF, the second page we begin to slide into the ADF, because the upper feed Dungeon rollers turning at this time here in time.

For the moment that first page trying to flip the machine 'sees' the second page and decided to eject the first page without analyzing the second side. It begins directly to scan the first side of the second page. (image is reversed 180% because the machine "thinks" it is the second part of the first page)

This is happening (not always, sometimes some pages are treated as it should be) up to the last page.

Last page is always correct, since there is no next page more to disrupt the process.

Anyone know what to do to avoid this behavior? The paper used is normal paper 80g.

I installed the latest version of the firmware in this machine (CLP1CN1304AR)

I'm starting to think that this could be a bug software and superior power rollers run too long.

I've tried different settings and this happens when starting a scan of the computer, but also when starting a scan of the screen touchscreen printer.

    Thanks for any answers

    Kind regards

    Ronny

    This one is over.

For those who might be interested, he has focused on the machine.

Machine update itself to works and always the latest version of the firmware very well

  • Photos El Capitan blockages

I have a MacMini mid-2010 with a 1 TB 7200 RPM drive and 16 GB of RAM with 50% or more of available disk space.  I upgraded from Lion to El Capitan, which means I had to migrate from iPhoto to Photos.  I migrated my iPhoto libraries (40 gb +) photos.  Recently I have been import photos scanned from a negative scanner in a new library of Photos.  I have about 6 000 pictures (+/-25 GB) in the library, and when I try to turn on the faces and type a name for a face the program close to answer, and I mean leaves responding forever.  I thought I could try to create a new library with a picture and see if it does the same thing, but even now I can't even create a new library without pictures locked up tighter than a drum.  I have rebuilt the library without result.

Is it a sort of cache Photos or something I have empty which may be the system?

    Thank you!

    Tom

When you import photos, there is a substantive number deals that eventually triggered including face scans, ICPL post and indexing among others - usually the solution is to give is of a few days at the end of these background processes

  • E-all-in-one printer, HP Officejet 5742: e-all-in-one printer, HP Officejet 5742 range

When you scan a document with the printer Officejet-5742, I had a 'tick box' selectable if I wanted to scan both sides of a page. The process was not automatic, after scanning one side of a (or multiple pages) a window opens asking the user to delete the pages, turn them and put them in the feeder. By clicking on the button "OK" in the window of the program would continue to analyze the other side of the pages and, if several pages, organize the scans in the correct order

Today (16 August 04) I installed the last 'Full Software', as requested by the HP software. There is now no option scan side 2. I contacted HP support by phone (Ref: 3030910759) and said ultimately this model does a face scan. I said it was 2 sides the morning but not update. They don't have to give me some help so I said I would try a different approach.

I can make 2 sides by selecting 'Add' page but that is not as simple as selecting a checkbox and is not effective if make a stack of pages.

    Any ideas?

    Best regards, DELETE.

  • HP Envy 7640: Problem selecting a page scanned in on a HP Envy 7640

I'm on Windows 10 and have a HP Envy 7640 printer which I use for scanning. I was able to scan documents and photos. I have the latest drivers installed.

My question is when you scan a document of several pages how to choose to work on a single page. For example, if I scanned in 5 pages, how can I go back and delete page 2? In the lower left corner is select it all and deselect a button. But the button deselect Disable all pages and select it as all button selects all pages. I want to choose only a given page to work on.

If I scanned in 5 pages and the last page I want to rotate, rotation turn button as all 5 pages not only on the last page.

I before I was on Windows Vista with this printer and scanning software made it easy to work individually with any already digitized in page.

  • HP Envy 7640: How can I remove a computer from the list "Scan to" on HP Envy 7640?

I have a computer on my list of "scan to" on my HP Envy 7640, which is no longer in use.  How can I remove the computer name in the list?

With the help of Apple / Mac OS X Yosemite

    Thank you!

    I can't help but wonder if the computer is still on the same network as the printer. Even if you have no more than the computer, you may give it to someone else who uses the same network as you? I think it's weird that the printer is always to see the computer. If this computer and the printer are not on the same network, perhaps to restore the printer to the factory settings would help. To do this test, please complete the following steps;

    1. On the front panel of the printer, scroll down to the second main menu screen by sliding your finger to the right of the screen to the left
    2. Choose settings, or Setup
    3. Select printer maintenance
    4. Go to restoration
    5. Choose both restore factory default settings

Once this operation is completed, you will need to reconfigure the printer to your wireless network. Please let me know if this is the case. Thank you.

Until a few days ago I could send documents scanned from my desire to 7640.  All of a sudden the printer will not send.  I tried several e-mail addresses.  I have run the wireless network Test and everything is OK.  All the 'connectivity settings' are very good.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer software.  I am able to send the scanned to my MacBookPro.  Anyone has any ideas how to fix?

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to scanning to send the question.

I understand that you have a HP ENVY 7640 e-all-in-one printer connected wireless to a Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan and you used to be able to scan to E-mail, but now cannot. I would like to help with that.
