HP Envy 810-493D: airflow fan radiator

Hello

Can someone tell me the answer exactyly on the airflow to the radiator fan? Which image should be the right way? Photo 1 and photo 2?

I'm confused on this thing.

In addition, I would like to buy crosair SP fan to replace the stock HP fan.

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Hello

The air flow should move hot air away from the component and the tower.

A radiator in my example would be a radiator of CPU in a liquid cooling system. The radiator is at the back of the tower.

Your 1st method would push the hot air out of the tower.

This is the desired air flow to maintain the temperature of the ambient air as cool as possible case.

    Hi Mike,.

Consult this publication of the article.  A measure such as the graphics card that you referenced is long of 11.6 ".  You may need to choose an another 760 from NVIDIA.

I don't foresee a problem.  Your PC has a 600 Watt power supply.  Check that the power supply of your PC has a power PCI-E 8 connector pins and a connector to power PCI-E 6-pin.

If you are having problems, and then consider the information posted by HP below.  You may need to disable secure boot to get the card to work, but after that, you should be able to re-enable this feature.

  • HP ENVY 810-445qe: mSATA in HP ENVY 810qe

I just bought a HP ENVY 810-445qe with a 16 GB mSATA drive.  How do I know if it works correctly?  The startup time is somewhat less than a minute.

    Hello

The 16 GB mSATA is a data caching solution and it will be faster compared to using an SSD for the start.

Data caching with the motherboard in your PC could be performed by a service via hardware or software according to the question if this feature is enabled in the BIOS.  Usually the HP in the past has used a software service with W8 for the caching of data.

Try some boots and see if the issue changes.  If this isn't the case, then contact HP support. If you are still not satisfied with the boot time then return and exchange the PC within the 21-day return period.  After 21 days, it becomes a warranty issue.

Your PC has a chipset Z97.  My Z97 PC chipset which is fully configured with several hard drives and SSD boots much faster using an SSD, given all the bells and whistles that are enabled.  However, I can boot from a 7200 HD using Windows 8.1 in about 30 seconds and less than 15 seconds using an SSD.

  • T61p - on-site warranty just installed new fan/radiator - time of Nvidia went Up - help please

Someone please look at the pictures below, tell me if warranty Onsite installed the fan/radiator bad for one of my five T61p units earlier today that the Nvidia chip runs a good 15 ° C warmer than before (the other time watching normal using HWMonitor v1.17).   BTW, this chip from Nvidia is a good one dated 2010 (1043A 2) and came from a previous motherboard warranty Onsite replacement thanks to the Nvidia bumping because of the failure of materials (on a machine end July 2008 08/07, no less).

I have included photos of one of my other unit for comparison T61p fan/heatsinks (in August 2008 08/08 of the machine) and my other units from Nvidia are still with a tube of heat very different to running the Nvidia chip research more a heatsink very high above the Nvidia chip, which has a gray cushion vinyl top (see pictures).  Replacement of today appear that it may have an elbow in the naked heat tube running to the Nvidia chip.

The technology installed also wrongly a long live in the lower left corner of the processor heat sink... I found it when I went later to remove the KB and palm rest to see why the Nvidia chip ran more hot (because screw KB was previously a long screw, but it was released as a short screw, so I thought he put a long screw inside a place where it shouldn't be).   Fortunately, I found the corner of the CPU and the swap of screws but that has not solved the Nvidia chip running more hot.

Here is the part number of the thermal fan they sent him: 42W2823

Could this be a fan/radiator T61 Assembly which was sent to him by mistake? That would explain a lot and can easily be corrected by a return visit in the future.

    Thank you all.

I hope that your new technician solves this problem properly for you on Monday, and we look forward to a good report.

I am pleased to announce that people fine and courteous to the warranty Department Lenovo delivered the good fan/radiator directly to me on their own (apparently so I could check for my part it was OK), then a different tech called the same day, set up an appointment for Friday, August 3 between 12:00 and 17:00.  He showed up at 12:00 sharp, not less.

This second tech (of the same service contract company) was superb, and he even used a buffer of anti-static work! ... Unlike the first tech.

He also spent more time to ensure no damage has been done the first tech work and as I looked at the time after starting for a while (unlike the first tech who almost had a foot in the door before I could not even start until time to check).

So now my second (out of five) T61p units (unit very late July 08/07) runs once more in good time, after the good fan/radiator was installed.   The second tech stopped even without any complain for me to take a couple of pictures correctly targeted its current NVIDIA GPU... a GPU of 2010 with a 1043A 2 code a replacement motherboard Lenovo warranty in 2011 for my file date!

Thanks to Lenovo warranty Department and the 2nd technician for a job well done.

  • Upgrade Windows 7 to 8.1 Pro for HP Envy 810 - 145qe (J0X43AAR #ABA)

I just bought a HP Envy Phoenix 810-145qe which is preinstalled with Windows 7.  Specifically, I bought this system because it was faster than my old desktop processor and I could spend 24 GB memory to 32 gb that I did.

I went to the HP site and checked if this model has been tested by HP that came back had not been tested with Windows Pro 8.1.  Can someone tell me if I've stuck with Windows 7 on this new machine?  I really need to have Windows Pro 8.1 because I develop e-Learning programs that need to be tested in an environment Windows OS 8.1. Please notify.

    Hello

I don't see a problem with the installation of Windows Pro 8.1 on the 810-145 envy.  HP has released drivers for Windows 8.1. There is little difference between Windows 8.1 and Windows Pro 8.1.

    1. Check with the manufacturers of your application to make sure that you don't have a problem with Windows 8.1
    2. Run Microsoft Windows 8 upgrade assistant
    3. Don't forget to create the external HP recovery media.
    4. Back up your data and also download drivers HP Windows 8.1 posted on external media.
    5. Buy licensed Windows 8.1 and download Microsoft support.  The Microsoft download process will allow you to create a bootable USB flash drive or an optical medium.  I would recommend that you download the ISO support and then create the desired boot media.
    6. Follow these instructions from Microsoftto install Windows 8.1.

  • Quad Edition CTO Notebook HP ENVY 15 t-j100 fan noise

I recently bought a HP ENVY 15 t-j100 Quad CTO Notebook Windows 7 Professional Edition (PC product #: E1P05AV) and I noticed that when the laptop is under any kind of load, the fan can be incredibly strong. There is no abnormal noise, but the volume itself can be irritating. Basically, it looks like a dryer located on the top. I was wondering if it was just a normal phenomenon or if there was something more to him. I have the latest version of the downloaded bios, and there should not be any dust or dirt in the book since I just got. If someone could shed some light on this, I would gratefully.

    Hello

Thank you for visiting the forum!

I understand that whenever there is any kind of load your system fan noise, it's usually an overheating problem that I suspect.
I really recommend that you quickly go through the following documents & try to do at home and hopefully solve the problem.

  • Question on Pavilion g7 fan/radiator replacement

I have a HP Pavilion g7. It's a little more than 3 years now. The product number is XV343AV and the model number is g7t-1000. The fan was very loud and noisy for a while and I had the overheating computer once, but most of the time, it worked. However, yesterday my fan has stopped working. I intend to take my computer school and have their problems, but I need to order the parts for it.

Look for the pieces on the HP site tells me I can get a Module sinks - UMA HM55 with the number 637189-001 and Module ventilation with the number 639460-001 (and there is also the option of a thermal buffer kit).

My question is, should I buy the fan and the heat sink? Is one in another / they are not supposed to be linked together? What happens if I just replace the fan and not the radiator?

You can replace just the fan, but you must remove the Fan/Heatsink unit. It's pretty obvious, how once you get the device from the laptop. The radiator is a piece of metal and really can't fail. The fan is the part that fails. When you put everything back together make sure to use good thermal paste applied sparingly and properly.

  • HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC fan TS too work

I have a HP ENVY TS 15 Notebook PC running Windows 8.1 and the fan seems to work extremely hard. The PC is not overheating and all processes work quickly and well, but the fan keeps and does not slow down. I had the laptop for about 4 months and I keep it on a level and solid surface, so I don't think that there any accumulation of dust and nothing is to vents. The problem arose since the most recent BIOS update a few days ago and drains my battery. In addition, I don't have anything running on the computer, so there should be no reason he works so hard.

Does anyone else have this problem? What are some suggestions for remedy?

Sorry for the late reply. Shortly after the post, HP has released updates that solved the problem. Thank you.

  • T61 14,1 "non - ws - nvidia fan/radiator replacement

Hello. My motherboard is dead (it used to be a motherboard intel), and I got a replacement nvidia card (Yes, I know about the problems with nvidia cards). However, I was not aware that the cooling unit is different, and since the change of the Web page, all I get when looking for hardware manuals, is "File not found".

So I was hoping someone could help me with a part number for a radiator to nvidia for the ratio of 4:3 14.1 ' T61.

    Not a big screen, not a T61p.

    Whaa! Sorry, I misread your post, you have the number for the fan of discrete graphics;

There are only two fans in this system, one for integrated and discrete.

If I have time I will download the manual in a place and send you a PM with the link, probably tonight.

  • HP Envy Phoenix 810 - 170st: Startup Hp Envy 810 - 170st problem

    https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=bmpOezTOfPU

    Greetings,

My pc is having a serious problem to initialize. When I turn it to be closed, it will not display. The lights come on, but the graphics card is not set up to start the monitor. And the fan is running at its top speed. It will be either do it for about half a minute and close, or should I stop it manually. Usually, the next attempt to start, will show the power comes on for about 2 seconds and then right back off the coast. After that, he goes on, and then will begin a normal start procedure. The problem started a while after obtaining a SSD hard drive.  The SSD is used as primary Windows startup disk and 2 3 TB drives were used for storage.

The problem is very confused, as one of the 3 TB drives the windows main drive helped, but do not solve the problem. So, I can not link on the SSD drive, running the pc on ACHI vs sound original RAID, or if there is a real problem of power or the motherboard.

I have a box from looking at it, but this brings us to another problem. I don't have the pc in the configuration that was causing the most problems, because an associate of HP called me, said that if I sent all the additional parts, they would probably not returned. I could lose my extra HDs? And if I can't properly present the problem, is it possible that it can fail, and my machine is back with the same problems?

SSDS are sometimes a problem and I don't really understand it.  In the early days the cloning software was having a problem with the SSD drive.  Different manufacturers have problems with the motherboard controllers, etc.  Now, I assumed that the problems are more or less solved.  It could be in one of these areas, but check with the Samsung forums to explore options for this SSD model.

  • HP ENVY 810 Phoenix 293d: update BIOS for HP Phoenix 810 Mainboard (293d) with (MS-7826 (Kaili))

Hello. I need BIOS update for HP Phoenix 810 Mainboard (293d) with (MS-7826 (Kaili))

My current bios is dated to the 29.05.2014 80.21

You can try to extract the .exe for the files. Just more work but not a guarantee and it would even work. HP has made the bios updated mainly to run through the OS itself when updating. Or they would put the files to a USB stick as another choice. That's what I guess.

I know that I can use an air can without starting to dismantle things, but I think he needs a little more to get my laptop to work like new. Any help telling me where to look would be greatly appreciated, I hope as well as some pictures of cell being dismantled (eyes rolling)

    Hey Gradma Sue,

Why you didn t use the forum search? You will find a sufficient number of threads on the cleaning of a Toshiba laptop.

You only need compressed air spray. With this, you can blow the dust from the cooling fans and it of quite easy to use.
I've created an interesting article from Toshiba that describes this step by step:
