HP Envy G6R79UA: Battery issues 5% and no more supported

I have problems with my battery. I have a HP Envy #G6R79UA.

I don't know exactly when it happened or what caused it, but for some reason, my battery won't charge. Currently I am at the level of 5% battery and he says, ' plugged not charging»

I left alone for several hours to recharge, but so far nothing has changed.

I tried to turn my computer off, turn back on, press ESC and run a diagnostic test, but it failed. It says faliure ID 9BXS16 - A 7, 1865 - MFGJMG - C08R03.

I tried to use the HP Support Assistant application to run the HP Battery Check but it says the battery status: OK.

The battery is 606 days and I is no longer guaranteed.

Please let me know if you can help.

Hi Looking4Soltn,

Completely turn off the computer.

Unplug the charger.

Start the computer with battery only.

Make run for a few minutes & test some applications.

Right click on 'Microsoft ACPI Control compliant method battery'

Turn off the computer after uninstalling it

Remove the battery then the AC charger

Press and hold the button for 30 seconds

  • Displayport ENVY causes battery lose detection and performance max brightness

    I have a HP ENVY 17 - 3D was released in early 2012, running Windows 7.

It has 1 HDMI port and 2 additional display ports. The graphics card is ATI HD 7690 M XT and supports switchable graphics on the fly.

The processor chip is 2nd generation Intel Quad Core i7.

    Problem

When I use the displayport cable "Displayport to DVI" connector active, my battery would not be detected, and the brightness of the computer screen laptop builtin automatically tops out at 100%, without the possibility of reducing its brightness in my custom settings powerplan (100% light is bright for me). I recently started to use the displayport to send video clips as extended desktop to an old monitor LCD of Sony, which has instead of the latest HDMI DVI. The HDMI port has now been connected to the flat screen TV. Even if I converted the portable/DVI on the old Sony HDMI signal, and only a monstercable adapter-nothing fancy, I never lost the features. This started to happen when I started using the display port...

However, as soon as I return to the HDMI output that is unique to all monitors, my battery is still visible, and I can adjust the brightness of the screen through my powerplan again...

This problem is only apparent when I use display port...

Finally, the catalyst software is the original that came with the machine I can't update this because nothing else apparently takes in charge the switchable graphics and have had bad luck with the newer versions... If I'm wrong please let me know...

    What I try to do

Very simply, the laptop's HDMI port will connect directly to a TV dish 1080 p SAMSUNG. This image is simply a mirror of the laptops display, which is also the same resolution - 1080 p. The old Sony monitor simply connects to the Displayport now via an active adapter 'Displayport - to - DVI' to use the extended desktop.

Overall, it's just 1 screen flat TV cloned/updates mirrored on the laptops display in the same resolution (1080 p), and 1 smaller screen for the range of extended desktop. So 3 screens are light in total:

Laptop + SAMSUNG TV via HDMI direct (in mirror and identical - the two 1080 p resolution)

Monitor Sony via displayport using '-Displayport to DVI-' active adapter.

Everything else works fine - I just lost my battery and the ability to control my screen brightness, which is huge for us with power outages and have reduced the brightness...

If anyone has had this problem and what should I do?

    Any help appreciated...

    Thank you very much

    Hi @GGHP2016,

    Thank you for the update.

If you remove the battery and always start your laptop, you can use your laptop without the battery.  If you leave the battery installed you can still use it on current alternative.

Hi HP, I found out recently just a matter of my laptop, specifically BATTERY issue. It's my problem, my battery is displayed this text: "53% available, connected and do not load ' . I did some research and I found a few methods I thought it might be useful as: disconnect the battery, calibrate the battery, everything I could find on the internet... but unfortunately it did not work. And for that I would run diagnostic system these are what I received:

When I unplugged the battery with the AC adapter / CC always plugged in and turn on, my work laptop just to find so I can ensure that my adapter still functional. And yet one thing, have my spare battery with 53%, when I unplugged the AC adapter and have my battery reconnected and try to turn on my laptop computer and comments that: "my laptop has not turn on" eventhough my battery still have 53% available. So my question is: is my laptop dead battery? What I need to replace my battery? If this is not the case for my battery so how can I solve this problem? Is my dough spare parts number: 671731-001, can you show me which site to buy OEM battery? Please help me!  Thanks HP!

    Hello

You can see if it is available in the shop part of HP in your country or through retailers online via eBay, Amazon:
    http://PartSurfer.HP.com

I came to find this one: http://m.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Battery-HP-DV6-7099-671567-421-671567-831-671731-001-TPN-W108-TPN-W109-/251075663697

    Hi Mitesh,

Try to clear the phone to 0 and then keep it off. Then plug the AC to load 100 and start the phone. Lets see if this helps to calibrate the battery. If the problem persists then try to run a factory reset. Check also if there is no OTA update.

  • Tecra M10 - CMOS battery is low and powers down and upwards automatically

    Toshiba TECRA M10 - 10W
    Model no PTMB1E-00P003EN

This laptop was working fine last week and is only about 1 year.

Now to the power he reports the CMOS battery is weak and penetrates into the configuration screen to set the date and time.

Once this is done, it shuts down and no more automatically, but everything works the CPU fan to high speed, no attempt to start etc.

If you press the power button with the fan running, it will be power downwards and upwards (while it is still connected to the power grid) and again to report a problem with the CMOS battery.

Any ideas on what is wrong and what can be done to fix this?

    Hello

First the CMOS battery can be charged while you let the connected AC/DC adapter, for example 24 hours a day. After that, the message CMOS battery shouldn't t appears more.
    Check this box!

The power automatically power cycle on and off can represent a danger due to a hardware malfunction can you start in Windows or in fact that happen before?
Maybe it s overheating and you need to clean the laptop using a jet of compressed air.

  • Equium M50-192: battery issue

    Hello

Basically, my problem is that whenever my laptop battery is in and I also have the AC too, the battery automatically takes over from HQ if the battery is flat. Ive had only the laptop about 2 months and it started only recently to happen.

Alternating current only also up a little battery, and then stops to load. And to top it off the laptop sometimes just turns off by itself when its only run off ac power. Worsened in the last week and now I cant charge the battery upward and the computer laptop is always just turn off so I can use the laptop yet.
Before you suggest it, I tried to take the battery and the ac and them plug it back and also tried to use only the ac with the removed battery but there has been no improvement.

It's very frustrating because I take care of property (I rarely move) and it has been great so far.
I think it's probably a claim, however I thought I'd see if anyone knew what was wrong with it or if someone had the same problem and what they were doing.
If anyone has any useful info on this it would be very welcome.

    Hello

Looks like a malfunction of the accumulator :(

Discovered some days ago, I read on the Exchange battery Toshiba voluntary programs.
Likely to be affected battery Pack may not properly load or unload.
I checked this site and found the Equium M50 on the list.
    HTTP://EU.COMPUTERS.TOSHIBA-EUROPE.COM/CGI-BIN/TOSHIBACSG/GENERIC_CONTENT.JSP?SERVICE=EU&ID=0610_BATTERY_EXC HANGE_LANDING_PAGE

The affected batteries were sold in some laptops manufactured between March and May 2006
I think you should contact Toshiba service partner for the verification of the laptop and the battery and I think that you get a spare part.

    Good luck

  • Battery is dead and the Satellite C660-15r not turn on or charge

I have a PC laptop toshiba Satellite C660-15r I've had for a year.
For these last days, I had to move the charger a little when I insert it into the laptop so he could load.

Now the battery is dead and the laptop will not turn on or charge.
It's not happened before and there is no other problems with the laptop.

Have you tried to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help first?
I mean the guarantee must be valid in order to see whether they can help somehow.

Please clarify this and send feedback.

Had trouble with t430 a colleague. It is impossible to connect to the WiFi unless the battery is removed and then reinserted. Once connected WiFi is strong and reliable. The two batteries hold high loads and are in a State of 'good '. Any suggestions?

Solution has been update power settings to the driver does not allow the computer to turn off device to save power.

  • E5 - 572G strange battery issue

    Hello!

I have an Acer Aspire E5 - 572G (bought 19 days ago not even a month) and I started to meet something weird with my battery 4 days ago. While normally using computer laptop, he went suddenly into hibernation mode and the battery dropped 26% to 5% (critical level) without notification. Now, down from about 36% to 5%.

My question: why it's like this, the battery is new and I do not think he already needs replacement. I want to just my battery to discharge normally. Thank you!

You may have a bad battery or a hardware problem. It would be best to return it for Exchange or refund.
