    Hello!

I have a hp envy 17-j110 ea with GeForce GT 750 M and an Intel Core i7-4702MQ @ 2.20 ghz processor.
I want to improve it with better graphics (NVidia GTX M) so it can eventually run to a better quality games. Is this possible? Are compatible with motherboard GTX M series? Or it will cause problems to the laptop?

Thanks a lot for your help in advance. (I'm not that tech savy if you don't understand it )

    Hello:

There is no graphics removable/replaceable 'cards' in your laptop.

There are two GPU (Intel and Nvidia) welded and built into the motherboard.

You are in the upper part of the mark about graphic solutions for your model series.

    Concerning

    Mehul_Mishra

Sorry, but you operate in a misunderstanding.  Your PC is a laptop computer and, unlike desktop computers, it uses no graphics "cards".

Instead, it uses graphics 'modules' - and what makes these different, is that they involve the graphics chip is soldered to the system board.  This means that you will need to disassemble the entire PC to replace the motherboard just to change the graphics chip.

This would have to do to an HP Service Center - which means that it will cost you easily several hundred dollars, maybe more replacement laptop in its entirety!

  • Want to 810qe of Phoenix: upgrade graphics card on desktop HP Envy Phoenix 810qe

If earlier I wanted a new Phoenix 810qe Desktop (windows version 8) with the following customizations: 4th gen Intel i7 - 4790 k @4.0 Ghz, 16 GB DDR3 - 1600 Mhz (2 DIMM), 2 TB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drive, cache SSD 16 GB mSATA, HP WLAN 802.11 DB 2 x MCard BT WIDI 2 ac, 15 in 1 Multi Media Card Reader slot , 6 USB ports (front/back), Audio [before 4USB2.0, 2USB3.0 top of the page], 4 GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 745. I want to know if I could put in an Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 instead of the 745 GTX graphics card. Reading this post on the forum (http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware/Upgrade-My-HP-ENVY-Phoenix-810qe-Desktop/td-p/4679014) I know that the computer has a power of 500w. But in the post, that it seemed that the person asking the question just had basic computer and had not adapted it, and I still have to wonder if the customization that I did for my computer took more watts of the PSU.  Now that I know that the GTX 980 would need 500 all the watts that my computer can offer that I want to know if my computer is perhaps still able to run this beast of a GPU. Anyone have any ideas? If this isn't the case, I think I can just settle for a Geforce GTX 960 because who needs to 400 w of total power of the system. But I'm not even sure that would work on my current computer either. Any help?

  • HP ENVY 700-074 Desktop PC: Graphics driver is not up to date

Hello, I was trying to update my driver of Intel 4600 Graphics for many months now desperately and it did not work. There is currently a problem with my graphics driver (it does not play in one of my pc games, they the accident that I start up) and I was recommended by various people to update my graphics driver. I tried using the Intel Web site to update my driver, but since it has been changed by the manufacturer would not. HP support for my computer for the driver downloads and software did not work, either I get erroer - 259, as the version he tries to download and install a version lower than what I currently have installed (Version 10.18.10.3621). I don't know what to do when I searched hard for a higher version than what I have installed.

  • HP Envy 750-114: replacing a graphics card and opening upward

Ok. I'm already sorely regretting the purchase of any computer with a graphics card intel. I wish never to see another computer of graphics cards intel. I've got people who can advise me (somewhat) about how we replace these things. But still, in my ignorance, know that the first requirement is to open the machine. They wanted me to take a picture of the inside to give a sense of my options.

Only I can't the infernal thing open. I see what looks like should be an easy thing of twisty open, but no other screws that look like they open on one side. However, the twisty thing is totally impossible to twist. Nothing I have is able to open it.

Someone please tell me how to open this thing! There must be a way that does not require a hammer. What I want is a graphics card that works - I can't even this one to play older games (and it is for most everything I play, except star wars the old Republic.) And the last driver update that has even beaten!) The graphics card intel cheap is literally the only thing stopping me. It meets all the other requirements. But I can't yet figure out how to get the thing open so that people can give me advice on what I can replace it with.

    Help, please.

I think that there is a hole in the nut as you try to turn.  In fact, you can insert the right Torx screwdriver and turn it to the left side.  This should allow you to open the case.  At least what I had to do to open the suitcase on my new HP Phoenix.  I have to admit that it was not easy to do, however.

  • HP ENVY 700-349 Desktop PC: can I put this desktop computer graphics card at a 960 GTX?

I decide to upgrade my videocard to a GTX 960 a GTX 645. My question is if I can spend in the first place (I'm not the most ideal for this kind of situations). The exact specifications of my computer is listed here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04337197 . The exact information of my video card is shown here: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-960/specifications .

Please help I'm dying for a response

    Greetings,

    Seems good.

960 is 9.5 inches in length and requires a power of 400 W.

Check the clearance in the tower. Measure along the 645 to verify that you can adapt a 9.5 inch to 10-inch card in the case.

Hard drive cage can be in the way.

Check that your has a PCIe auxiliary cable as the 960 supply requires six extra pins to connect. The manufacturer will usually provide an adapter if you need. Or you can get one online.

    See you soon!

  • HP ENVY H8-1559. Updated graphics card help

So I have a mother Angelica 2 card and I was wondering if I could spend my Pegasus Radeon HD 7570 2 GB for a Zotac GeForce GTX 2 GB of GDDR5 memory 650ti

    Well done!

The EVGA card seems to be very good.  I watched several times.  I also read the reviews and they have good things to say about it.  Normally, I'd like to see more reviews on a product I buy, but I love the card.

If it were me, I would buy the video card and PSU.  You can't go wrong with Corsair.  This ensures that you can make future updates without any problem.  Of course, it's entirely your choice.

  • HP ENVY 700-311na: need additional graphics card?

I would use 3 or 4 screens simultaneously running my PC with a different application.  That would be the ideal situation for my family tree project.  Is this possible?  Do I need another graphics card?  The graphics on the PC is an AMD Radeon R9 270, it already has 2 outputs and HDMI output but I struggle with this output, I can't use at the same time as the other 2 outputs.

According to the specifications of this video card:

    • Support up to three displays simultaneously in the following configuration:
      • DP + two other ports

  • Laptop of HP ENVY TS m7: keys brightness & Graphics Card does not work

I've refreshed recently my PC in the last month, and after a recent update, my Windows computer has stopped responding to orders of brightness and is stuck at full intensity. In addition, it seems that a common measure of troubleshooting is to install a new chipset and graphics card. However, the card graphic driver States during installation is not compatible with my PC (despite the Intel and HP recommend through various Web sites). In addition, the current I have says it's for Windows 8 only and so crashes quite often. No idea how correct the brightness or graphics card problems?
    ~ Lingh

It seems that some research solved the problem.

I finished updating the remaining graphics drivers using a third party service, and things stopped crashing.

In addition, the question was actually with the driver for the monitor, which was something I did not installed (PnP-monitor). I swapped it to the generic PnP monitor, that solved the problem. I got the idea to do it from here: https://superuser.com/questions/948587/i-cannot-adjust-screen-brightness-in-windows-10/949966#949966?newreg=86568d7fbfcd40efbe368b6097c9f65a

  • HP Envy m6 for computer laptop graphics card problem

I had problems with my Intel Hd 4600 graphics card.

First, it is not compatible with Mudbox 2014 and has problems of execution of tasks in 2015 Mudbox.

As noted above, the paint does not work.

Second, the graphics card played terribly with decks of low-level and Maya 2014 therefore lagging behind.

Is there a way to solve the problem with Mudbox 2015?

Or do I have to update the graphics, if possible?

How long have you had? Basically, no laptop computer has a graphics card which is expandable. Actually not 100% true but the exceptions are so rare that they might as well not exist. If in need of something more powerful for the production of graphics or game was a basis to return the laptop everyone would back his laptop. I don't work for HP and you could call them and see what they will do, but I don't hold much hope for you.

  • HP ENVY m6-1215tx Notebook PC: graphics card update

I want to update my graphics card.

I currently have amd but I want nvidia.

    is this possible?

If yes what models will be fit?

    Hello:

There is no graphics removable/replaceable/extendable 'cards' in your notebook.

The GPU chips are soldered and integrated on the motherboard.

Since your model already has the best graphics offered in this series of model, there are no options at your disposal (for example, replace the motherboard with one that has better graphics).

Replacing the motherboard would cost almost as much as buying a new laptop PC with better graphics.
