HP ENVY-j005tx portable video Show map

I bought this laptop there is 6 months (still under warranty) mainly for the purpose of games

Was happy with specifications of the laptop (especially its 16 GB of Ram), until I found that the graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce GT M 740) is not enough to run games from past the beginning of the 2000s (something that certainly was not announced when I bought it)
I've since updated all the drivers I could for the graphics card and the pc, all without result
For a laptop which cost me around (to THE) $1700 + and was announced as a great game option, for me I'm glad not exactly how it works
I'm not want to buy another computer right now I got it for about 6 months
I am looking to update my graphics by a little card just, maybe to a GeForce GTX or an AMD - but still slightly better than what I would great
I am able to upgrade with this computer? I don't mind if I deconstruct it - I just need to know if I can
In the hope to hear back soon
Thank you

Specs are below:

The other thing that should be clear, it's that your laptop has no video 'map' as such. The video chip is part of the motherboard. In my view, there may be a compatible motherboard with a video chip of 750M but is only maybe 10% faster than yours and the cost of the motherboard over $ 300. So the above tips are essentially correct: in practice we can not do.

  • Video shows that in the margin of safety

I really hope I don't have to repeat everything I just edited. So I hope you guys have an answer for me.

The problem is that Ive made a video that contains images and the resolution of 1920 x 1080 live video. The video begins with a 720 p picture and then continues in 1080 p video. What I don't understand is when I have exported it in the same format as I always do. The video shows what is in the margin of safety. What happens because I managed to move a picture from the video "off the screen" somehow?

And if you manage to do it, is there a reset button, so we're back in the 'frambox' or whatever you call it.

Out in the video Ive used the pan / zoom feature, has something todo with the video showing just what's inside the margin of safety?

When I started the project I didn't select new. I just opened the program and began to add photos and videos.

IM exporting the same type every time, which is Adobe flash video and 1080 p F4V - HD. That has always worked well for me and I have not had this problem before.

    Thanks for the follow-up.

That present you your workflow, p60 of 1920 x 1080 video and image 1920 x 1980 and with those export settings, I have is only with the export settings

frame rate defined as identical to the Source, as I mentioned earlier. But that should not contribute to your export 1472 x 832 F4V get.

If you do not already have it, you can try once more with this project. This time, import your video and photo, but don't do any pan and zoom, then

Let's wait and see what looks like the export as well as what are its properties.

After exporting F4V, where you see this description 1472 x 832 for your export to F4V?

Please consider. We will be watching for further developments.

    Thank you.

  • The videos show only the upper-left corner of the image during playback.

When I try to play a video in Firefox (23.0) on my Mac, all I can see is the fourth upper left of the video image.

When I try to display the same video in Safari it works fine. The entire image is rendered.

    Mac OS X 10.8.4

    Hello

There are a few things that could be the cause. Please can you try the following:

    • Check the Adobe Flash plugin is updated to the latest version
    • Open Firefox in Safe Mode and check if the problem repeats. If this isn't the case, then most likely an Add - it is at the origin of the problem.
    • Try turning off hardware acceleration - Options > advanced > General > uncheck "use hardware acceleration when available.
    • Try to disable "protected mode" in flash player or go back to the Flash 11.2 drive. See this thread for more details support: Flash video only showing a quarter...

I hope this helps. If this isn't the case, then I would try a Firefox Reset. It will return its default settings Firefox but will keep your browsing history, bookmarks, etc..

    (1) is there a more powerful video card that I can just pop to replace the current card?  The first thing you should do is upgrade the power supply (PSU).  The current PSU is only 300W.  Most newer cards require a minimum is 400W to work properly.  I recommend at least 500W to give you extra power for peak needs.  I love Corsair products.  As for a video card, here's a card which should give you more power.  I suggest you read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.

    (2) should I buy a new desktop computer, and if so, what would you recommend for audio and video editing?  If you decide to buy a new computer, the new gaming PC are great.  Here are a few examples.  One of them as displayed will be much more powerful than your existing computer.  You can configure all that you need.

    Thank you!

  • HP ENVY 700-339-video bad HDMI on the Second monitor

In a Setup dual monitor a Samsung T240 and a Samsung T240HD the HDMI output a very poor text quality monitors.  The DVI quality is excellent. I changed the DVI and HDMI between the two monitors and the poor quality of HDMI is obvious on a monitor. HP has fixed the computer and replaced the AND R7 240 video card but the problem persists.

HDMI output and DVI with these monitors went well with my old HP Pavilion Elite PC m9150f.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated?

I have an older video card that supports dual monitor output, should I try it?

Someone at - it already update the video card in their 700-339 and can make recommendations on what works? If I receive information on the card and power supply, if it was upgragded so?

    SGPatterson, welcome to the forum.

Here is a video card that works in your computer.  It requires only a power supply (PSU) with 300W.  It does not require an additional power connector.  There is a video for you to look directly below the map on the page.

You can try your old video card if it will work with your power supply.  It should not cause problems if it works with the UEFI Firmware in the motherboard.

The NVIDIA 720 is a video card very low end.  You might be better to use the NVIDIA GT 730 for $79.

  • HP Envy m7-k211dx: video memory upgrade 2-4 form.

Hello I have a HP Envy m7-k211dx with NVIDIA GeForce 840 M with 2 GB of video memory card how I upgraded to 4096MB?

You don't you can't and it would not help if you could. However, offered on the m7-k200 series was a GeForce 850 M with 4 GB of video memory. The graphics chips are soldered directly to the motherboard, so theoretically you can get the motherboard of 850M and exchange for your.

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

The motherboards in this range of products also include a processor soldered onto your best motherboard would be this:

Intel Core i7-4720HQ Discrete 850 M 4 GB (2.6 GHz, turbo up to 3.6 GHz SC), 1 600 MHz/6 MB L3, quad core 47 W for use with the operating system Standard of 782621-501

HP is out of stock on the motherboard, but you might be able to find online. I expect to cost more than $400, maybe a little more.

  • No video shows when you import clips in movie maker mpeg video

Right-click on the video driver and select Update driver

Right click on the driver and select uninstall

  • Videos show no image in OS 7

    Hello

I have an application accessing a service to download videos on the phone and play them later. This application has been tested up to OS version 6.

Now I test if it works under OS 7 (I'm testing with the Simulator 9930 BB) and I find that the video does not appear, but the sound can be heard perfectly. In previous versions the video read without any problems at all, so that the OS 7, the screen shows just a black screen (during playback). This same behavior can be seen on a real phone.

To play the videos, I use the standard way, i.e.:

    _player = javax.microedition.media.Manager.createPlayer (_videoUrl);
    _player. Realize();

    _Kit = _player.getControl ("VideoControl") (alarm);
    Field videoField = _vc.initDisplayMode (Field) (VideoControl.USE_GUI_PRIMITIVE, "net.rim.device.api.ui.Field");
    _vc.setDisplaySize (Constants.BBWIDTH, Constants.BBHEIGHT);

Later, the "videoField" field is added to a Manager, who in turn is added to the screen.

I tested the video and audio formats, but it seems to be compatible. Also, I don't understand why it might work correctly the OS 6, but not the 7 OS.

    Any help?

    Thank you

    Enrique

After struggling with him a few days, I finally solved it.

The key was in the code that was setting the size of the field for the VideoField: he read these values in the VideoControl object. For some reason, it worked on OS 6 but it was returning (0, 0) OS 7. This is the reason why he did not display the image of the video (duh...).

Adjusting the size according to the size of the screen solved the problem.

    Nice day!

Then. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but after the video export 1440 p of first it's shows in 1080 p after uploading to youtube. However if I download the source video of watch as 1440 p.

    Here is my rendering settings:

I don't really know what I can do wrong in this case. It's all pretty simple.

I'll be grateful for any help.

Oh, wow... it becomes finally 1440 p. After almost an hour. For the 45-second video. And it is much faster with the video source. I guess it's pretty random.

  • HP Envy 15 1060ea Bios shows only 3 DIMM Slots.

    Hello

I am trying to upgrade my 1060ea HP Envy (UK model) RAM.

The laptop has 4 GB of RAM installed at present.

I bought this laptop as a replacement of the workstation for graphics applications.

I was hooked by the laptop with the understanding that "I could upgrade to 16 GB of RAM because there are 4 DIMM slots".

    My number of portable product = VJ295EA #ABU. Card mother = 7009 36.35. System BIOS = f.2bs.

There are 4 Slots DIMM physical on the machine, two internal, two external.

The two DIMM slots internal should remove the back of my laptop, which I am not willing to do.

The two external DIMM slots are accessible by removing the laptop battery and remove the 3 screws and a small sign.

    I bought a 4GB SODIMM DDR3PC1060 module so far.

    Module Spec = 4096 MB DDR3 PC3-10700 (677 MHz).

    I don't see what follows.

    (1) if I insert the module SODIMM 4 GB in the external DIMM location nearest battery laptop, all works well.

I start the laptop and the BIOS recognizes the additional 4 GB memory and Windows 7 64 bit also recognizes additional memory of 4G. I see subsequently notified to the system memory.

    Memory 8 GB system

    1 SODIMM 4 GB 1333 MHz

    Locations 2 2GB SODIMM 1333 MHz Micron

    3 2GB SODIMM 1333 MHz Micron.

    (2) the module SODIMM 4 GB is not recognized by the BIOS or Windows 7, when I insert the plug-in 4 GB SODIMM in slot DIMM closest to the body of the laptop.

(DIMM location is under the location DIMM referred to in (1) above).

    (3) I decided to look at 3rd parties providing modules SODIMMmemory Dee if they had software to detect the number of DIMM slots on my machine. I looked at the following link. (http://www.crucial.com) and downloaded a tool to detect the number of DIMM slots on the machine.

    Here are the results:

    Type of memory: DDR3 PC3-8500, DDR3 PC3-10600, DDR3 (non - ECC)memory Maximum: 16GB Slots: 4

Each slot of memory can hold DDR3 PC3-8500, DDR3 PC3-10600, with a maximum of 4 GB per slot.* * should not exceed manufacturer supported memory

Based on the foregoing, there are 4 slots. I can see two physical external DIMMS.

I'm confused. Here are my questions.

    (1) the amount of memory I would be able to install on this HP Envy 1060eanotebook?

    (2) why the BIOS reports only 3 DIMM slots?

    (3) it's the broken BIOS?

    (4) what I need to upgrade the BIOS?

    Thank you

    Spoiler (Highlight to read)

    Hello

I bought another stick of memory of 4 GB, the same specification as described in my initial post.

If I insert only one stick in the external memory expansion slot nearest the body of the laptop module is not recognized by the BIOS.  -J' have still 4 GB of total Ram.

If I insert only one of these sticks in the other external location, it is recognized. I have 8 GB of total Ram.

If I insert both of these sticks of 4 GB memory in external memory module expansion ports, both are recognized by the BIOS I have 12 GB of total RAM.

Strange behavior, but that's what I see.

In any case, I took the chance, bought two sticks, open the laptop & replaced the two sticks of 2 GB internal memory with the new 4 GB 4 GB sticks of memory.

I now have a 1060ea HP Envy with 16 GB of Ram seen by the BIOS, Windows7 and Linux and 2 spare 2 GB sticks.

    Thanks for your response anyway.
