HP Envy Phoenix 810 desktop: Hp Envy Phoenix start loop

I have a new HP Envy Phoenix Office - 3 weeks. I had the boot loop after the first few days and there are still a few days. Both times, the computer has been re-set to factory conditions. In the meantime, I got the blue screen of death - which was resolved with the support on the website.  Reinstall all the programs is tedious - and tracking down licenses for anti-virus programs that I use etc.

The latest HP support, stated that the HP updates have now the same as the windows updates - and activate updates. I disabled updates of HP but not windows.

Support has been nice, but I'm worried that the computer is missing something.  It has a 250 GB SSD - 32 GB of Ram.  I have 3 years warranty at home.

I asked the technician, if this seems to be a hardware or software problem. No response says.  I had a lot of HP products but never this experience.

Thank you

This can happen if your file associations are broken.  Here's how to restore correct file associations.

    1. Press + R to display the run box, type RSTRUI and click OK.
    2. Choose a date when the computer was working properly, and then click on next to restore system files from that date.  The computer will restart with the fixed parameters.

  • HP Envy 4500: Crazy loop installation

So I buy the HP Envy 4500 and I got Office Max, compatibility and get the green light. Although I said that I may have to install updates for Windows 10. Ok. Reasonable. But of course this is a magma down. I try and install the driver but it says another installation is in progress and I need to complete that one before so I can... So I'll install Assistant buzz around all treat stuff with the particular problem but nothing works, because I have a current installation. My guess is that I am still trying to install a driver that can not install but this time prevents me from installing a will. It's so typical. I filled all my surveys of customer dissatisfaction, but hey, is there a way out?

    Hey @Hebephrene,

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.

I understand you're caught in the purgatory of software try to configure your HP ENVY 4500 e-all-in-one printer on a Windows 10 PC. I want to help you break out of this loop and finally enjoy your printer in full capacity.

I recommend you try the following steps:

    Restart your PC.

Save all files, and restart your PC for a new start.

Remove temporary files from your PC:

    • Press the Windows key + r
    • Type %temp%, and then press enter
    • Press Ctrl + a to select all files
    • Press Delete
    • Note that some files do not delete - do not worry, this is normal. Simply click ignore that you're prompted.
    • Empty your trash at the end.

    Run the system files check

    • Click here and start a File System Check as directed by Microsoft.

    Download the printer Installation Wizard

Click here to install the HP printer install wizard (instead of directly using the printer driver). When you run it, this utility will facilitate what I hope it's a smoother and more efficient printer installation. It should recognize the printer to the computer or its direct wireless connectivity usb connection and install the latest driver for Windows 10.

Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post. If I helped you to solve the problem and that you liked this post, feel free to give me virtual accessories by clicking on the 'Thumbs Up' icon below and by clicking to accept this solution.

    Hi there @Pep3,

I hope you find your experience of positive Support Forum!  It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, HP experts and other support staff.  I understand that your computer starts correctly.  I'm happy to help you with this.

I can certainly understand your frustration with the situation, and I'll do what I can to help you through this. However, I have some information.  Please send the complete product number and check the operating system on your computer. Check out the following, if you need assistance with this information.  HP desktop PC - how can I find my model number, serial number or product? Computers HP - how to find the Windows Edition and the Version on your computer.  For now, I'll go on the assumption that you are using Windows 10.

The system always begins with the same message of self-healing, you saw the first time?

When you were on with a cat person they suggest trying a system restore or recovery of the plant?  If your system is shipped with Windows 10 or regardless of the version of Windows was preinstalled, there should be a recovery partition, you can use, provided that the hard drive is not defective. In this case, try this document: HP - computers perform a recovery of the system (Windows 10) HP. That your computer does not start successfully, use the section titled "recovery when Windows 10 does not start correctly.  This will restore the original image, even assuming that the recovery partition is intact. The downside to this is any data you have stored will be gone after the factory recovery image, unless you have previously supported some of them up to an external drive or device.

You may also want to consider some of the suggestions in this thread: Windows 10 repair restart buckles - windows10forums.com. There are several suggestions offered by some users who helped to solve this problem for others. There are also links to download an iso of Windows 10 to make an if necessary boot disk.

Please let me know if it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

If the problems reappear quickly after a reset, it may indicate a persistent problem of malware. I'm not sure what you have tried so to, but I suggest you start here:

  • Desktop iMac won't start

About 2 months ago or not, I've updated my desktop iMac computer 2011 at El Capitan (running 10.11.1).  Everything has been works fine until this afternoon when I sat in for use.  I remember leaving the computer on when I went to work last night and didn't touch when I got home this morning.  When I tried to turn it on, nothing - no fans spinning, no boot screen, nothing.  I unplugged the computer and held the power button for about 20 seconds, but nothing happened.  Does not even plug and unplugginh both ends of the power cord and have switched plugs.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

If you do not have any audio or video on what means its are not getting any power, check what is obvious, and if not then it is likely a supply failure.

  • S5610y: S5610y computer desktop Slimline won't start

I turned off the computer, and I tried to turn it back on after a few hours. It will not start. I pressed and pressed the power button for a few long seconds and tried again. No luck. The output is very good, and therefore the power cable. I noticed that there is a green light on the back of the power supply, and when I press the power button to turn on the computer, the green light turns off. It turns out if I remove the cable at the back of the power supply and reconnected, but disappears again when I press the power button to start the computer.
